Random Eddie Headcanons

no warnings, just strictly fluff and some random things that i think are eddie coded! hope everyone is doing okay! just a reminder that my requests are closed, as i’m trying to give myself more of a break! love you all!

• i feel like his room would be like going into an antique shop. he’s got so much shit everywhere, half of it is trash and beer cans, but he’s got so many little trinkets and what he calls “treasures” that he just can’t seem to part with. he’s probably lowkey a hoarder.

• he likes going yard saling just for the sole excuse to rummage through peoples stuff. he likes to pick out a mug to give to wayne, or a random hat to hang up with his collection on the wall. it’s what he spends his pocket change on.

• still has his baby blanket that’s basically worn down to a rag. he’s too afraid to wash it, thinking maybe it’ll get torn to pieces in the washer. he tangles up with it every night and it winds up at his feet by morning.

• would definitely be the type of person to get a smiley face tattooed on the tip of his penis.

• likes old country music just because wayne does. he’s a big fan of john denver and america.

• hasn’t been to the doctor in years. he’s too afraid to go. wayne got him to go a few times when he was a kid for a regular checkup, but by 15 he refused to go so wayne stopped forcing him. he’s deathly afraid of getting shots or that wooden stick that presses on his tongue.

• there’s a trailer next door that has two little girls who like to have tea parties outside. it’s never real tea, just air in their cups that eddie made the mistake of pointing out, but they always ask him to join and he does, sticking up his pinky and making tea party conversation.

• he definitely wakes the trailer park up when he’s coming home in the middle of the night, whether it’s from band practice or a random hook up. his music is on full blast. wayne will burst out the door, cussing and carrying on about turning it down.

• loves the golden girls and gilligans island, definitely scooby doo. probably hates the brady bunch because of the cheesy family dynamic, but loves watching little house on the prairie reruns in the middle of the night.

• prob made his own tattoo gun and tried to tattoo his leg. he failed. and hurt himself in the process.

• he would love greenhouses i think, but he’s always really hot and burning up inside them. he likes to smell all the types of flowers and pluck the petals and rub them between the pads of his fingers.

• trades cassettes with his friends, but will never give up his metallica or black sabbath ones.

i went to a metal show with tattoo crush while we were out there, and I might be going to another one with her later this month!! Both her and Dyke Roomie are down to go to the orchestra with me!! The shop we worked at was SOOO cute with the sweetest artists, one of them wants to get tattooed by me when we come back which is such an honor!! we saw the most gorgeous views during our 16 hour drive, our airbnb host was fucking UNHINGED lmfaooooo, she had us check in late after we had just finished driving for hours, would just NOT leave the room cause she was trying to finish setting it up, had been sick so she had no voice, and then when she finally left, texted Tattoo Crush to say "I'm sorry i'm such a mess. I think I left my vape in the room. jkkkkkkkkk. sorry this is like the worst week of my life, my grandma is sick. the mess is because the other people that live here are going through a nasty divorce. sorry again, im such a mess." just...insanity!!!!! But it was a really fun trip, i love my friends so much!!

born to anika and duy luong, the first ten years of femi's life were picture perfect. family dinners, road trips to visit relatives, summer camp every year. that was until spring of her eleventh year, when her father went to prison for the first time on a burglary charge.

despite her tumultuous extra curriculars, femi maintained excellent grades and often found school too easy. after graduating high school she was accepted to el camino college where she transferred to ucla, receiving her bachelors in business. up to this point, she'd still been living a double life and painting a picture for her moms while doing jobs for her dad on the weekends.

after graduating, femi decided she needed more than la had to offer and packed her things up, moving to denver. since being in denver, femi has been dancing at various clubs and lounges, with brief stints as a bottle girl to support her luxury lifestyle. it wasn't until 6 years ago when a regular ( wc pending ) let her in on his business, washing money through their nightly dances. after doing successful work for 3 years, he was giving consistent bonuses and realized her business degree was worth something, noticing how she brought in and kept clientele while remaining discreet.

It's not every day that you can meet someone that says they traveled with a carnival for their entire childhood but The Gagliardi's aren't just any family. Their parents were fortune tellers and thought it was a perfect place to raise their six children. At first Bianca thought nothing of it but the more that she saw what children with normal childhoods were like the more she realized that was all she ever wanted. While Vince was more than willing to help out their parents with their younger siblings, Bianca just wanted to live her own life.

As a teenager she could have been around more, and she regrets that now, but she would always run off when the carnival went up and explored the towns they were in. In one of the towns she came across the local record store and absolutely fell in love with the aesthetic and all the music so readily available at her finger tips. Each city they went to she always made sure to check out the record shops and get at least one record from each place, a collection she still has to this day.

When Bianca was young the carnival stopped for a couple of weeks in one city and she met a local. Their relationship and love were fast and by the end of the two weeks there was no way she was going to leave him behind. Saying goodbye to her family and the life that she knew, Bianca stayed behind and got a taste of what it was like to stay in one place for an extended amount of time. By their third month together he had proposed and wanted a wedding that was just as fast paced as they were. Bianca thought it was meant to be until she was standing up alone like a fool with no groom beside her on what was supposed to be their wedding day.

To this day she still doesn't know why he didn't show, but she can only assume he got cold feet. She tucked her tail between her legs and joined up with the carnival once again, a few weeks later finding out she was pregnant. Not wanting to give her baby the same life she had, Bianca once again said goodbye to her loved ones and settled down to stay in one place no matter how much she was unhappy being away from her siblings, she had her child and that was all she needed.

Six years ago Bianca could tell that Vince was really upset about his wife leaving and Bianca knew in an instant she needed to be there for him. In fact, he doesn't remember most of his childhood except for brief flashes of things in his nightmares and the few photos he has that were in his backpack

He's never gone looking for his family or his memories because if they didn't want him, he doesn't want them

When Micah was 11, his parents took a bus into Denver, and when they got on the next bus, they didn't take him with them

He spent hours in the bus terminal until somebody called the cops to pick him up.

The only reason he knows his name is from the tag that was attached to his backpack. The backpack contained a few pictures, a few changes of clothes, and a stuffed animal

The next three years were full of foster homes that didn't have enough patience for the boy who didn't want to speak, or otherwise replied in a language they didn't understand. He doodled a lot, and for a while, drawing became his main form of communication.

It wasn't until he was nearly fourteen that somebody thought to try getting a translator for him, and it helped. He'd been learning English since he was picked up, but it still wasn't comfortable for him.

By the time he ended up with his current family, he was mostly conversational in English, but still borderline mute. He let other kids pick on him, let adults boss him around, and then some, all while staring off into the distance as if it wasn't happening.

Micah blossomed with his final placement. He grew confident enough to speak, though he was still the quietest of his siblings, and his personality became so much more than "the weird kid in the corner." They adopted him when he was seventeen.

Micah still draws, he even went to college, just a local state school, and sees his family.

College was where he figured out his sexuality, having spent many nights tipsy and making out with any pretty boy or girl that looked at him twice.

BACKGROUND

Not much is known of Harper’s life, prior to her adoption. Not that there would have been all much to know; she was barely a month old when proceedings were finalized, and brought back to the Sato household. While there has always been a certain curiosity on Harper’s part to know of her lineage, it isn’t something that has played much of a role in her life. She is a Sato. She has always been a Sato. As far as she is concerned, nothing else matters.

With a deceased father and a chronically absent mother, the Sato siblings were all but left to raise themselves. For as long as she can remember, it has always been the two of them against the world. Brodie and Harper. Harper and Brodie. Despite the age-gap between them, you would be hard-pressed to find a pair of siblings as close as they have always been. Sure, they didn’t always have much, but they had each other, and that was enough.

They don't talk about it much now, but the time without Brodie were the hardest. With the peacemaker of the family away at UPenn, that often left the youngest Sato to fend for herself. In her attempts to navigate an increasingly volatile home environment, she managed find work at a local coffee shop, working as much and as hard as possible. With a clear end goal in mind, they saved enough money to relocate across the country, moving in with Brodie following the end of his first year of college.

Harper had never been particularly inclined towards her education, and the idea of going to college was an equally unappealing prospect. The time and money it would require would have been well spent elsewhere. They would have much preferred spending their time doing… well, anything, really. But Brodie had been particularly insistent, and Harper, eventually intrigued by the prospecting of seeing as much of the world as possible, set her sights on the bright lights of the Big Apple.

A member of the Columbia University's 2022 graduating class, the world was truly at Harper's fingertips. Their college years were a period marked by adventure, excitement and general merriment, one that culminated in a year studying abroad at the University of Oxford. For reasons both professional and personal, the latter experience had been the pinnacle of her undergraduate education, and she hadn't particularly eager to let it go. But with a quickly-expiring student visa, and no career prospects to keep her across the pond, she returned to the United States. They were devastated to go back, mostly on account of having to leave one particular person behind. Initially seeking refuge in the company of their big brother, Harper has been residing in Cape May ever since, attempting to figure out what's next, and trying to enjoy all that comes with it.

i literally never use tumblr anymore but as an update, a word vomit about seeing mcr, because i’ve been posting mcr on this very blog for over 12 years: 

my best friend ollie and i saw mcr twice in september, once night 1 in toronto, the other in denver. they drove us the entire 10ish hours there and back for both. it was my first time going to canada and they got across WITHOUT THEIR PASSPORT. in toronto i got skeleton gerard. in denver i got nurse gerard. i can’t believe i’ve seen bury me in black and boy division live and also literally everything else. black parade made me cry the hardest both times because my dead father took me to projekt revolution for my first concert when i was 11 and he’s the reason live music is so important to me. my chemical romance is the most important band in the world.

i had tickets to night 1 newark, but i am incredibly broke and my new (to me) car was in the shop not to mention i could not afford gas/tolls to get there, so i had to sell them. i’m a little heartbroken because i could have gotten fucking demolition lovers... 

but i digress. because i still got to see them. i got to experience so many new things because of them. ollie and i have matching mcr tattoos and have been emo together for 15 years. my best friend in the entire world and i finally got to see our favorite band together. they finally got to see them, in general. i could understand entirely why they chose what songs they chose to add to the setlist rotation and they speak to their awareness of the state of the world and their place within it. 

i’ll say it again, and i’ll say it forever: my chemical romance is the most important band in the world. they’re an integral part of me and these shows really helped to prove how true that still is. “i am not afraid to keep on living” - i know i got that tattooed for a reason. 

i’ll never get to see them in a basement, but i know they’ll always remember that’s exactly where they came from, and that’s my favorite thing about them.

born to teen parents who had a tendency to dabble in ~illegal substances, a lot of people would argue that phoenix never really had a chance. from the time he was born up until he was six years old, he dealt with his parents’ neglect. he would wake up to an empty house at least a couple of nights a week. WHICH HE THOUGHT WAS TOTALLY NORMAL until he mentioned it to his teacher and cps plucked him out of the home he knew and threw him into foster care.

he spent the next eight years in a foster home. things were tense, and they thought about kicking phoenix out many times as a result of both his temper and the clashes they would have about the sort of trouble he would get himself into.

when he was fifteen years old, he spent about nine month in juvenile detention for breaking and entering – which he’ll claim to this day was a necessity. was it truly? no, probably not, but he was bored. okay??

once he was released, he was put back into his foster home temporarily while the social workers looked into a group home out of town that he could get sent to where he wouldn’t get into as much trouble.

of course, he had to visit his social worker more frequently – finding out that she liked to have a lot of meetings with him and his probation officer.

it was one of these days between the time his last class finished and the meeting when he was out in the parking lot with his old skateboard when he tried to bum a cigarette off of a heavily tattooed man. he turned phoenix down (of course!) and when his social worker poked her head out of the door to call out to him, he was pretty sure he was in trouble. instead, the man and a woman phoenix assumed was his wife were standing there and there was a flurry of words he only half listened to until he heard the words new placement. it turned out the couple was interested in fostering him? though he was confused, phoenix was up for anything.

though the couple was only about fifteen years older than him, they already had three adopted teenage children around phoenix’s age. he wasn’t generally one to get comfortable quickly, but it was easy in this household. they were treating him like he was family despite the fact he’d just gotten there.

by his seventeenth birthday, phoenix was adopted :’)

now twenty-five, he still goes to weekly family dinners and is close to his adoptive siblings.

FUN FACTS!!

phoenix has a lot of tattoos, most of which were stick-n-pokes or home done tattoos. the largest one that he has is on his inner arm that said born sick because he thought “take me to church” was the absolute best song in the world when it was released (he wasn’t wrong !!)

despite being kind of a trainwreck, phoenix is also really smart and had earned a master’s degree in astronomy by the time that he was twenty years old. it was done on scholarship – which is nice because is he using it at all??? NO!!

ANGER ISSUES!!! he bottles up all of the negative things he has from past so it boils over sooner or later.

he stumbled upon the piercing job by spending a lot of time of at a local tattoo shop until they offered to train him in piercing.

he’s big on bartering so if you want a piercing and have something other than money to offer him, he’ll probably accept it.

he has a three year old adopted sister named kale who is absolutely his favorite person in the whole entire world.
