A couple of characters set in the future.
Tumblr media
Mephiles and Iblis are sort of reincarnated into normal Mobians in the future, since the 06 events kinda rewrites history for a moment.
Mephiles is a sort of father figure to Iblis, helping her through the wastelands and developing her Chaos Abilities of Pyrokinesis. Mephiles himself has the ability of illusions, he can change his form at will. He lost his leg, so he uses his ability to make it seem like a metal spike is there instead of a stick holding him up.
Iblis and Silver have these bands wrapped around their limbs, they are Chaos Energy suppressors, like Shadows Ring Inhibitors. They are supposed to be a temporary attachment until the user is properly trained into being able to control the chaos ability they have, the more Chaos Energy they have, the more suppressors they need to wear.
Tumblr media
Silver unfortunately has Telekinesis, one of the hardest Chaos Abilities to master, and since he had no one to properly train him, he will likely never be able to take off his suppressors.
His father abandoned his family shortly after Silver's Chaos Ability developed, knowing how big of an issue it would be to train and properly use. Mercury, Silver and Zinc's mother, was absolutely pissed by him suddenly flaking on her, and has to raise 2 children alone in the apocalypse now. She tries to look at the bright side of things though, teaching valuable morals and making sure everyone gets a good laugh in each day.
Zinc is the baby sister, and due to her being a literal baby, she can't retract her claws or walk properly yet. So Mercury carries Zinc around wrapped in a blanket around her back.
Silver is a shy kid, he blames himself for his dad abandoning the family, and feels like a burden because he can't handle his Chaos Ability yet. Plus, it doesn't help that he looks a lot like his father, almost like a constant reminder of the man who left his family. Mercury keeps trying to tell Silver that he's done nothing wrong, but he begs to differ.
Tumblr media
Shadow ages slowly, very slowly. Even after 200 years, he only went from looking 15 to looking like he's almost 30. He's mostly alone, with Omega being his only company for a while. He goes about his day with his Dark Rider being a bounty hunter, doing odd jobs he finds at the mission board in popular cities and towns.
The last gift he received was from Tails, he cherishes it as a reminder of the time he had with the main cast of characters 200 years ago.
He eventually takes Silver under his wing, becoming a sort of father figure to the poor, lone hoglet. He teaches him a bit of how to control his Chaos Ability, but because he doesn't have telekinesis himself, he can only do so much. They'd need to actually find a person with the ability to properly teach him.

Spit-Ball Headcanon Time... Maybe...
This is a little thought of mine, maybe a bit of a fan-theory now that I think bout it. I've been thinking about how the first, second, and third movies could combine into one massive web of SCU lore. Here’s my thought; I believe that Longclaw and a Robotnik (hopefully Gerald Robotnik) potentially knew each other. Potentially. And if they knew each other in passing, then it opens up the ability for other intergalactic aliens to be introduced into SCU canon. Not only that, but these extra-terrestrial interactions helped further Dr. Robotnik's need to capture Sonic for his own personal use in the first movie, as well as inspire him to continue tinkering on the movie's version of the Death Egg Robot via chaos energy. And this is all true, then it might explain some of the bizarre history of Green Hills, Montana.
I'm a big advocate in reading the novels for the movies (Book 1 and Book 2). There's some information present in the books that weren't present in the films. In the first novel, it states that Longclaw is very familiar with Earth. She's actually visited Earth a few times and has observed the humans (PG. 12 & 13). This also leads us to believe that she might have known some of the humans in order to describe them as "power hungry, self-centered." But she makes up for it in saying that it's a safe haven for Sonic to grow up on as long as he stays hidden. With this in mind, as well as informing Sonic that her people have left temples with the Master Emerald all around Earth, it explains why she was okay with leaving him on the foreign planet. Even with this tidbit of information, it shows that she might have known someone in order to give that impression of humans.
I believe that this is Gerald Robotnik. 100%.
Concept art for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022) shows that Gerald Robotnik IS a character for SCU. This was conformed by Tyson Hesse, concept artist and one of the producers for the films on Twitter (SOURCE). The concept artwork shows that the writing on the walls is the same plans used in SA 2. Even so, writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller explained that heavy influence of SA 2 and ShTH 2005 will be used in the third film (SOURCE). This could mean that Gerald's deal made with numerous people and an extra-terrestrial alien overlord COULD be canon to the films. This could also mean that the quest for immortality and a cure for Maria Robotnik will be Gerald's motive. With this information in mind, it opens up a potential relationship with Longclaw.
This relationship is formed as she comes to Earth to check on the temples and with Gerald Robotnik on his quest to achieve immortality. Longclaw knew that Earth had several temples for the Master Emerald. It would be part of her duty, as a guardian, to protect and keep tabs on them at all times. I strongly believe that way before Sonic was taken in by Longclaw, way before Sonic was born, she knew Gerald and they both shared information. In game canon, it's stated that Shadow the Hedgehog is created with connection to the Chaos Emeralds. In the movies, the Chaos Emeralds are in the Master Emerald (it's now it's own separate emerald). If Longclaw shared information of both the Master Emerald and the Chaos Emeralds to Gerald Robotnik, then it would explain the chaos-like energy that we see emitting from Shadow in the second movie's post-credit scene.
Tumblr media
Note that the Echidna tribe are located in SCU’s equivalent to Mystic Ruins. The background structure of where the tribe's huts are is the temple in Sonic Adventure 1 AND in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (1993). And a massive popular fan theory is that the reason why Shadow looks the way that he is that Gerald Robotnik saw this temple mural fighting a god. Gerald Robotnik took it upon himself to create an artificial chaos energy. He created Shadow with the mindset of having connections to the emeralds as well. Interaction with Longclaw and Gerald Robotnik stopped because she felt that he would be after the power that came from the emeralds, thus leaning him to try and replicate it on his own. And if he could try and replicate the emeralds, then he could try and find a cure.
If Longclaw and Gerald Robotnik knew each other, then it's quite possible that Gerald had knowledge of other aliens existing. And if he was able to replicate chaos-like energy, that would open up the possibility of the Black Arms aliens coming in Sonic 3. He could form an alliance with them and further his research on immortality. Not only that, this would give a means for the United States government to get involved and shut down Project: Shadow entirely. This would explain why Project: Shadow was hidden in government archives, as well as General Walter's eagerness to want to create Guardian Units of the Nation (G.U.N.) in Sonic 2. This would also explain Dr. Robotnik's desire to capture Sonic and drain his power-source from him in the first movie. That, and it explains some of Dr. Robotnik's plans for the Death Egg Mech--he had some understanding of chaos power before hand. I argue this because Dr. Robotnik's response to Knuckles' statement on the Master Emerald is an “ah-ha” moment rather than a new concept. Dr. Robotnik had an idea that chaos power existed from his grandfather, Gerald Robotnik. He wanted that power.
Tumblr media
It's no surprise that Green Hills, Montana is kind of a funky place. Other than it holding the only Olive Garden restaurant in the entire state, it has some pretty interesting history to it. Since the 1800's, Green Hills is originally known as an agricultural hot spot AND a massive hub for imported goods for the railroad system. All of this information is displayed on historical plaques seen throughout town. This is especially evident on Main Street where we seen the railroad tracks. What we've neglected to point out is that the historical plaques also state that the town has a rich history of being a military town. This information also states that it was a military town for a short amount of time in the mid-20th century, then quickly reverted back into an agricultural town.
I will make the bold claim in saying that Green Hills, Montana has something to do with Shadow's creation. Not only that, but those that were involved with Shadow's creation--or even shutting down the project--potentially had something to do with Green Hills. And to make sure that the project stayed quiet, the USA government had someone stay and make sure that none of that information was uncovered... thus making the statement, "there's been a Wachowski protecting this town for more than 50 years" crucial.
But I hear you questions. I hear saying that there's still loose ends to this fan-theory, especially the parts where Sonic's existence comes in and why so many people are after the emeralds in the first place. Why do some characters have chaos powers and some don't? Why does it feel like Knuckles is afraid of Sonic when he goes Super Sonic? How do present-day Dr. Robotnik and General Walters continue to tie into this?
Tumblr media
All I can say is that we'll just have to wait into Sonic the Hedgehog 3 comes out in 2024.
This is just a headcanon/my thought. I’ll add more to it when I’m not so tired.

Asking you about Shadow's Chaos Energy, boots and rings!!!
First off, I love you. Secondly, yesIcandothatabsolutelthankyouforasking.
This is *entirely* headcanon. There is no evidence for this. Prepare for an absolute ramble.
(I want to state here- I am not a medical professional. This is purely for fun. I'm blending basic medical science and electrical sciences with science fiction. This is fiction. I'm not claiming it's real, and I'm not even claiming to perfectly understand the science. This is for fun. It's fucking hedgehogs XD)
( tw // body horror, just in case.)
Chaos Energy- I think Chaos Energy works like energy in this world, specifically electric just because of how it's depicted, and follows similar theories. Where it deviates is, like, it's a fantasy world, right? And there is obvious mentions and uses of magic and other stuff. I think the Chaos Energy in Sonic's world is BOTH standard scientific energy AND magic, following both sets of rules simultaneously.
Specifically, both energy (electric or not) and, by (most) common conjectures and fantasy systems, magic, have a give and take. We have seen what happens when something/someone gets overwhelmed with chaos energy, and we have also seen what happens to the chaos emeralds themselves when they are overcharged/undercharged.
I mention this because I want to establish that Sonic's dumb fucking luck, Shadow's chaos energy, Amy's multi-faceted magic, and Silver's time travel- they all fall under the purview of Chaos Energy in its various forms with its various uses.
We have also seen machines run on Chaos Energy. Hell, we've seen Chaos Energy replicated in Chaos Drives. However, with it being largely described as 'unstable' or 'unpredictable,' it's a bit of a gamble to use.
So WHY do I care so much about this with Shadow?
Tumblr media
THESE THINGS!
(before I continue, shout out to @autisticshadowthehedgehog, and also, go check out their awesome headcanon/theory which is WHERE I found this image, finally. I had been looking for images of these since Xenohog showed me and couldn't find them again.)
Just gonna quote @autisticshadowthehedgehog here since they put it most succinctly:
"A prototype of Shadow that is present in the cutscene of Black Doom and Gerald Robotnik finalizing Shadow’s creation in Shadow the Hedgehog (2005), it’s obscured from sight but it’s there along with other tubes with other prototype Shadows."
What this translates to me to mean is that Project Shadow, even AFTER Black Doom's genetic donation, still struggled.
There have been a multitude of studies surrounding how electricity and electrical pulses can impact cellular growth. There's a bit of a back-and-forth about how effective it is and *when* it's effective. There is a dedicated field of medicine specifically for this called Bioelectric medicine. Absolutely wild stuff.
If you like reading up on this sort of thing, here are some fun studies you can read about. X / X / X
Anyway, this is where I get funky with it.
I like to think that Gerald, after trying and failing to get Project Shadow to grow correctly and live, and in running out of time with GUN, BUILT an electrical infrastructure around which Shadow's body grew. Gerald BUILT Shadow's ability to control Chaos Energy into their body LITERALLY.
By doing so, he was able to directly control the electric impulses for cellular growth (to speed up/stabalize/fine tune the growth), and also give better and more-stable 'wiring,' for lack of a better descriptor, for the Chaos Energy to be utalized through.
However, because of the unstable nature of Chaos Energy, Gerald needed to employ... well, Sonic X calls them 'limiters' and Archie calls them 'inhibitors'. I don't remember if there is a term for them used in-game and I'm VERY much a 'game lore is the only lore I care about' sort of bastard so I'm going to be a bit nebulous here due to the lack of a concrete term. I'll do the best I can though. First, however let me break down some terminology.
Electricity limiter - thing that limits current flow Surge arrester- protects against voltage surges Surge limiter- limits the magnitude of voltage surges.
WOW! WHO WOULD NEED THAT, CONSIDERING THEY'RE BUILT TO HARNESS A VERY UNSTABLE/UNPREDICTABLE POWER SOURCE?????
So my thought is that ONLY Shadow can use THEIR inhibitors because they're literally BUILT FOR THEIR SYSTEM. Maybe it's a magnetic connection, or literally a little plug in/plug out action, but they are built for THEIR SYSTEM and THEIR SYSTEM ALONE. IT would also explain why they can take the ones on their wrist off OCCASIONALLY, but not the ones on their ANKLES, because they would absolutely combust with no ability to limit the amount of Chaos Energy coursing through their body. Like, I use the phrase 'pop a gasket' jokingly but I'm kinda not kidding when I say that about Shadow. Dude could just electrically (chaotically?) fry themselves.
(side not, with both electricity and magic, there are conductive metals, and gold is a highly conductive metal in both circles. Amy's gold bracelets would be for her to better tune into the Chaos Energy/Magic and Silver's could be to also harnes Chaos Energy to help with their telekinesis. Sonic doesn't wear/use/need any because he is, I say this all the time and I say this lovingly, that bitch with the blue hair and pronouns who just walks in and freeballs everything and WINS.)
EDIT: Totally forgot to talk about the boots can we talk about the boots I've been dying to talk about the boots all day!
So, two more bits I need to go over, which also kinda factor into the inhibitors and how they work. Gonna be citing Wikipedia.
Overcurrent- larger than intended/designed electrical current exists through the conductor.
Overvoltage- raising the voltage (electric pressure) beyond designed limit of the circuit or electrical element.
SIDE NOTE: Electrical elements can include but are not limited to: resisters, capacitors, and inductors.
And what happens if you fuck with an electrical system and overwhelm its capacity? You've seen warnings for it, I'm sure.
It's fire.
Well, really, it's heat. And sparks. And shit that will cause fire. You overwhelm an electric system, you run the risk of fire. You can burn the writing and cause permanent damage to the system, which may result in melting or outright open electrical-induced flame.
The inhibitors work to stop that but you don't want that to be your ONLY failsafe. That would be dumb. And it's not like you can build an electrical breaker into the bastard, so what do you do?
You give it an inconspicuous outlet. One that utilizes the energy in a way that is productive to the system.
LIKE HIS ROCKET BOOTS.
Tumblr media
Shut up, gremlin.
Air shoes, were they to exist like they do in Sonic's universe, would have a mechanical component which would most likely be electrically powered for air intake and outtake, forcing air out at a rate fast enough to propel. However, in every depiction of Shadow's shoes, from the very beginning, there's some sort of energy being expulsed. if Shadow so chooses, they can HOVER. They don't have to move they can just HOVER.
Okay, you say, okay, but they use colored light trails to denote speed in the Sonic universe. Fine, sure, I'll entertain the idea that these are just air shoes, but then something needs to be powering them. A physical battery would be too unstable, especially with the fact that these are taking a pounding constantly. Artifical Chaos, though more stable than regular Chaos Energy, still has it's faults, and also, there is an energy supply ALREADY PRESENT. If Shadow is able to harness and utilize chaos energy, then it would make the most sense in my opinion to have the energy being used be just straight Chaos Energy, pulled directly from our favorite mall goth icon.
Shadow alone powers the shoes.
Again, like with the inhibitors, you can come up with fun ways that they could click into the circuitry system that is Shadow. I... like the idea of Shadow being more monsterous then they realize, which is revealed as time goes on, but one of my favorite concepts (one that I've seen actually fairly often) is that Shadow has the three-toed black-arms feet. It would explain the wide/high toebox of their shoes. But I'm gonna add onto that and go hey, hey, what if we made it more fucked up and there was literally a little hole in their heel, with a pin or plug being in the shoe, that Shadow's foot fits directly into and ONLY Shdaow's foot fits directly into like the most fucked up iteration of Cinderella you can imagine. Ey? Ey? How we feeling on that one?
So yeah, with this headcanon, Shadow's a funky-ass little critter, a little critter with a wire harness.
Cheers <3 Thank you, SO MUCH, for letting me ramble about this. It's not even a headcanon I think about THAT OFTEN but even so, I love it and I don't talk nearly enough about it as I want to.

Thoughts and theories on Sonic Prime
Tumblr media
So, Sonic Prime has ended, good fellers, and since it's a Sonic thing, I shall simply say…
My feelings are mixed.
So, let's start off with just saying that the animation and voice acting? All good. If the English game cast blew up in a mysterious gas leak, these guys would make for fine replacements. The fight scenes are fluid, though do get a bit repetitive in the final few episodes(cause I think they were running low on budget), and everyone moves better than they have in the games…Maybe ever? Music is passable, but outside of the main theme, it's fairly forgettable. I think they used some game music in those sprites scenes that suck ass, so I don't see why they couldn't use a tune or two. At least use "All Hail Shadow" once, dude.
However, I feel that the writing and premise lets it all down. The premise feels like it would be better for a game or IDW arc instead of the rare animated series, especially since this show doesn't establish what Sonic's world is SUPPOSED to be like for new audiences. Sure, the games are at a decent level of popularity recently, and the movies have boosted the brand considerably in the public consciousness, but at least one episode before we start hopping around the multiverse would've made the stakes feel a bit tighter. Just because this is the game world doesn't mean you can skip basic shit like that. A status quo needs to be established for it to be shaken up.
Tumblr media
And yes, I did say this is the game world. Prime is, by standards I will explain in a bit, canon. Sonic fans have been arguing against this because of little details, like Green Hill being used interchangeably with Sonic's world(even though they never outright state that they're the same thing, leading me to believe this is simply a weird writing quirk), Sonic not noting other Metal Sonics exist when Chaos Sonic is introduced(even though he never says, "I have never seen a Metal Sonic before in my life!" Or anything like that), and Sonic having particularly shaky characterization(bad writing doesn't dictate canonicity, as otherwise the 2010's games wouldn't be canon either).
All of this is not good writing, to be sure, and Sega should've cracked down a bit harder on that stuff while making this show, but nothing here outright contradicts canon, if you know what a contradiction ACTUALLY is. It's an ongoing problem in the Sonic community that they don't know how to lore at all, and Prime is a good example of this. You don't have to like Prime, but if you count Colors or Lost World as canon, then you have no reason to not include Prime. Otherwise, you're just basing canon on what you do or don't like, which is an AWFUL approach to canonicity.
Personally, I slot it between Lost World and Forces for the moment, but this could change at a later date. Now, let's sit down and speculate on some things.
What are the Shatterspaces?
Long explanation short, I don’t believe the Shatterspaces to be a traditional multiverse setup. They aren’t variants of Sonic’s universe in the traditional sense, but rather partial worlds built on “fragments” of Sonic and company’s collective psyche, and this concept can explain a few things.
(Note: This is purely fan speculation, and not Objective Canon Zone. We’ve gotten past that point)
Let’s break down each Shatterspace.
Tumblr media
New Yoke is a dimension entirely overrun by the Chaos Counsel. Nature has been weeded out, and people live by the “mercy” of the Eggmen.
However, this Space is the only one with any Eggman variants, and this is very deliberate, because New Yoke is Eggman’s dream made manifest by the Prism. Remember, his robot was holding it when Sonic shattered it, so it’s logical that at least SOME of that energy came into his control. Hey, if anyone besides Sonic could control it, it would probably be Eggman, right? And when they make a giant construct at the end of Season 2, it looks like regular Eggman, so maybe there’s something to that?
Tumblr media
But of course, that begs the question: Why 5 Eggmen?
Well, 5 Shatterspaces.
Tumblr media
New Yoke-Mr. Doctor Eggman
The most similar to mainline Eggman, it feels best that he represent this Shatterspace.
Boscage Maze-Dr. Deep
The more zen of the 5, who may have more of a connection to nature than the others. For the crime of possibly having touched grass, I give this Shatterspace to him. The closest to a nature side that Eggman has.
No Zone-Dr. Don’t
This one is a stretch, but bear with me.
This version of Eggman is still a youth, likely to have wanted adventure and freedom before reality set in and he chose instead to zone out to his video games and other electronic forms of entertainment as a substitute for the action he craved. Eggman’s a playful sort when he’s not trying to rule the world, so it’s JUST possible enough.
The Grim-Dr. Babble
(Where the hell did he get a doctorate as an infant?)
A Shatterspace fairly undeveloped, its potential not yet fully tapped, much like dear Babble himself. Also a representation of Eggman’s childishness, though perhaps it more links to his feelings of being neglected as a child, as hinted at in the Frontiers audio logs? Who knows?
Ghost Hill-Dr. Done-it.
A shadow of the past, barely hanging on, just waiting to die out so the new hotness can take over completely.
Also looks oddly like Eggman Nega? Idk.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, these are merely reflections of what the Shatterspaces already represent, which are aspects of Sonic's Personality…Save for New Yoke and Ghost Hill. The former is mostly Eggman’s domain, and the latter is just what was left after the Shattering.
Also, I believe the Shattering to be an event localized to Green Hill, and not encompassing all of Sonic’s world, which would explain why they use the terms interchangeably. I can’t fully explain WHY I feel that way, just have a gut feeling this is how it works. My main basis for this is the flashback in New Yoke where Rouge and Knuckles are just in Green Hill when the Eggmen take over, suggesting that perhaps they were “localized” when the Shattering redistributed them.
Tumblr media
Oh yeah, let’s explain that. It seems that Sonic’s friends, along with ALL of Green Hill’s residents, didn’t have much control over how they were split among the Shatterspaces, but aspects of them clearly adapted to the worlds they were placed in. For example, Rouge and Knuckles both took charge of the Resistance in New Yoke, which fits them well enough. Knuckles commanded the Resistance in Forces, and Rouge is literally a government spy in the main universe, after all.  Amy likely defended nature in this world, and paid the price for it when the Eggmen turned her into a cyborg. Tails seems to have withdrawn into himself completely, becoming Nine. This universe was made by a villain, so these versions are the darkest ones we could get. The bad ending.
Anyway, back to the other ones.
Tumblr media
Boscage Maze represents Sonic’s love of nature, and is thus dominated by it. The people who live in this Space are thus devoted to their natural world, which adapts to be a primitive society led by more primitive urges driven by the need for survival. Rouge naturally leads again, and her more devious nature shines through as a part of her survival instincts, but she’s still doing better than her New Yoke version. Knuckles leans so far into his naivete from growing up on Angel Island alone that it gets remixed into paranoia, Big is Big, Tails seems to have still been isolated to the point of going somewhat feral, but is accepted nowadays by his peers(and has a knack for technology when he finds himself somewhere that it exists), and Amy vehemently defends nature to the point of absurdity. Much like how New Yoke is an example of technology being too dominant,  Boscage leans towards going too far in the other direction. The people don’t suffer as much, but they still DO suffer in the end if they don’t work together for a better tomorrow.
Tumblr media
No Zone is Sonic’s love of adventure, and everyone in this space represents that. Tails is at his best, being very sociable and accepted by his peers with no hesitancies, clearly. Knuckles' desire for “me beauty” might be a memory of the Master Emerald, but I wouldn’t put too much money in that. Another theory is that it ties into his role as a treasure hunter, without any echidna honor to reel in any greed. This is overall the most positive Space here, tbh.
Tumblr media
The Grim is simple possibility. The future, what lies ahead for Sonic. He rarely looks to it, never plans it out, instead choosing to just live in the moment, but it’s always there waiting for him.
And yeah, that’s it. The only remaining question is where are these Shatterspaces now that the Prism is restored, and the main universe returned to normal? Well, Sonic gave the energy back that the Prism needed and it didn’t kill anyone, so it’s likely that they exist permanently now, stable outside of the main “multiverse.” Different from a dimension like Blaze’s, and the split timeline caused by Generations. But that’s just speculation. Who knows if these concepts will ever appear again?
Idk, could make for a good fanfic.

Aqw’s Structure of Existence Theory Pt1
This is probably going to be wrong in some way but its an attempt to make sense of the confusing structure of the in-game universe and the current power hierarchy in a way that makes sense at least to me. Plus some theories and personal thoughts thrown in to explain where I’m going with things.
All written on the diagram for dnd planes since i felt it had the same structure of realms at the time of writing
Tumblr media
(this is half way written, so 2 parts now and the others later)
Material Plane
Since things seems to be centered on just Lore alone and not any other planet (if there is any, idk if thats the thing that carried over from Mechquest and Lore is the only planet with life left — didn’t play Mechquest and probably won’t just for this). Our Lore, Underworld, and Celestial Realm and their Mirror Realm counterparts seem to be two sides of the some coin that are equally affected by the influence of the Elementals Planes in a seesaw manner (this was shown in the Mirror Realm events and Mirror!Drakath’s mission of maintaining the balance of the worlds).
It hasn’t been shown how the Avatars and Elemental Planes interact with the Mirror Realm yet but it hasn’t been stated yet if Mirror!Gravelyn and Mirror!Artix are Champions, only Mirror!Drakath. Which is very fucking curious, like are they use powerful mages of the opposite element? would they be the one exception to the 'everything is opposite' rule and use the same element? Assuming theres aren’t duplicate Champions in the Mirror Realm to balance out the ones in Lore, then we could assume that the Planes treat it as the same as Lore and there are Champions living in the Mirror Realm (like the missing current Champions/Envoys of Air, Energy, and Earth and other child element Champions/Envoys ((maybe not Energy depending on whats going to happen in RoCT))), which would balance out the number on Lore currently.
The Celestial Realm and Underworld are included in the Material Planes since they’re technical physical locations on Lore and can be accessible by traveling there, don’t have any strong connection to any Elemental Plane (and that included Darkness with the Underworld since its just the preferred element to cast necromancy with in Greenguard and Dage’s), and also have counterpart locations in the Mirror Realm.
Basically, it’s a flat Lore theory and the game takes places on a frisbee flying through space /j.
Lesser gods native to Lore are fun. There’s 3 confirmed ones at the moment with Fimbal, Khoine, and Aletsch, all sharing an affinity with Ice, so there’s no limit on how many gods to just one element. There are others that could be consider native gods, ie Queen of Monsters, Big Daddy and Big Mama, Death and other Grim Reapers, and Anethyx’o. There’s most likely others but I forgot them or they’re being added in.
This is on the assumption that being created/reborn with divinity and either creating a realm or being tied to one also makes them a native god, or at least a new age god of Lore. It could as be that they were just powerful enough to be seen as a god, like with Fimbal, Khoine, and Aletsch since we got surface level info about them and they could/could not have a personal realm. QoM did get reborn as a god after dying and getting shallowed by the earth, and is more of a God of Monsters rather than Chaos even if she’s credited with creating it. Anethyx’o was formed from the left over bits of power from the Reset Galanoth caused, who went on to form the Celestial Realm. Death and the other Grim Reapers would have a connection to the Underworld due to the whole cycle of souls thing, and the mere killing of Death was enough disrupt that cycle. Big Daddy and Big Mama (and their parents) counted as Gods of Love since they're in charge of love of mortals and gods, and their home is Arcadia.
Elemental Planes
Literally the most confusing part of this whole thing
Not native to Lore but has a direct connection to the Mana Core. Not on the same plane of existence as Lore and seen as intruders by the native gods, but can affect it if the balance is disrupted. There’s really not a good way of explain what a Plane is at the moment. Maybe they’re just extensions or further away areas of the Mana Core that attuned to different elements. It would explain why it can be accessed via the Planes and how they can influence Lore (like the Mana Affliction but less severe).
Champions, in my speculation, are a by product of a Plane connecting with a planet, created to be emissary of sorts for the element for that particular world. Not just Lore, but probably every planet that the Planes makes a connect with. Which brings up an interesting concept of the Avatars previously being Champions from other planets that rose to the position. It would explain why Fiamme having a human form, Tyndarius was able to be usurp the position of Avatar but couldn’t keep it since he wasn’t the Champion of Fire, and Galanoth could withstand having the power of an Avatar channeled through him. It also explains why the Avatars face bodily harm from trying to access the Timestream and possibly other realms that belong to actual gods. The one exception to this was Nulgath throwing the Worm that Walks into Adimonde’s realm, but the can be excused with the fact the portal was fueled by the Hero’s EDoT powers. (Basically gods can access other gods’ realm without consequence, but mortals trying the same face the threat of death from exhausting their life force from just opening and maintaining a portal, I think thats how it works).
All in all, Avatars were probably mortal Champions from other planets at one point — probably the absolute first ones ever — and rose to the position of Avatar by being empowered by the Plane. They probably influence the Planes to some degree due to being connected to them for so long, with the Planes becoming off balance with an Avatar’s death (this hasn’t been shown yet with Kyano and Neso being gone, but I’m sure its going to come up with RoCT). They could also be the Champions of the Planes rather than a planet, and its through that unique position they became Avatars. It doesn’t explain the whole human form of the Avatars (since I feel like they would look more elementally depowered) but would also be could explain the influence they have on the Planes
Which opens that possibility of Champions replacing an Avatar, either through overthrowing them or, in Kyanos and Neso’s case, replacing a dead one with a living one (assuming that Silencing can’t reversed and Kyanos can’t be brought back in some way). A few of the Champions currently have differing goals and morals in some way from their respective Avatars (Gravelyn using Light for Evil when Celestia had it painted as Good, Rhubarb straight up going against Neso, Artix being the definition of pure good despite Darkness being associated with evil, Galanoth stopping the fire dragons in the Fire War). They’re more as a counter balance to the Avatars and their elements have represented so far, but thats more through Lore’s influence on their lives rather than the Plane’s.
Envoys are just below Champions in terms of power and resilient to the effect of the element in my opinion, but just by a bit. They’re more of an Avatar’s Champion rather than a Plane’s Champion and theres nothing stating a Champion and an Envoy can’t exist at the same time for one element (Idk if Elius and Galanoth count for that since Tyndarius was the one to make Elius an Envoy and I don’t think he got to keep that position post Shadows of War Pt2). Of course an Envoy’s power hasn’t been put to the test against a Champion’s — either with the same element or different one.
Chaos and Order
These two don’t really fit in either but do at the same time. Chaos was created from QoM, who got the label of native god of Lore, but still got classified as an element since Drakath is technically a Champion — even if one that was made by QoM rather than chosen by a Plane. At this point there isn’t a Plane of Chaos or Order, and I wouldn’t call the Plane of Monsters that — mostly due to the fact that the one time it was called the Plane of Chaos was the Chaos War finale and since then it’s been called Plane of Monsters (as of Shadow of Chaos story arc).
My guess is that since they’re technically new elements, we might see the creation of their Planes and Drakath ascending to an Avatar if he doesn’t get ascended to godhood to add to the Hero’s rouge gallery of gods to counter them. It would be the best way to show what exactly the Planes and Avatars are without exposition from an existing Avatar.

Leviathan is actually OP: Expansion Pack
Alright here’s all of the reasons why Leviathan is OP as FUCK. [ This is the quick version. ]
Now before we begin! These are just part of my personal Levi headcanons and in no way am I caught up to the lore. I just re-read the fanwiki to fact check.
Also spoiler warning for Levi Lore!
Alright now let’s get into this Gamers!
Tumblr media
First things first, what is a Leviathan in the first place? It’s a big ass sea monster (A Sea Serpent if you wanna get specific) that’s on a level similar or, dare I say, better than Angels. They are neither Angel nor Demon but something entirely in their own lane. Depending on what lore you read it is either the Embodiment of Chaos itself or just straight up some weird, scary, powerful thing God threw in the ocean. Honestly I like the juxtaposition of this snake. It furthers the Levi OP Theory I have.
Now, as we all know our own Levi is a water snake as well. He obviously isn’t always a big, monstrous snake, but from his demon form alone it’s likely he’s able to transform into one if we are going off the logic that Demons can appear as whatever they want to be seen as. BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT MAKES HIM OP! What truly got me thinking about the fact that Leviathans aren’t seen in heaven. So just how did he become a General of the Celestial Army as an Angel? Personally, my head cannon is that Mammon found him while running away from Michael one day but that’s besides the point. Also, Generals are pretty high in ranking so this also begs the question of just what type of angel was he? Whatever he was, he had to be pretty strong in the Celestial Realm to be that high in their Army, right?
This brings me to his rank among the brothers. Leviathan is the Third strongest Demon Lord and is the Grand Admiral of Hell’s Navy. That’s a pretty high fucking ranking out of every single demon in the Devildom. Yet despite this high ranking Leviathan is often seen as “weak” and “out of shape” to the point that he can’t jump rope or run one lap around the HoL. Most often attribute this to him being a chronic gamer and rarely ever leaving his room. I, however, call bullshit.
There is no way he’s the Grand Admiral of the Navy and he’s out of shape! It just doesn’t make sense!!!
The fact that he still has that title not only implies that he’s still very much in that position, but Hell’s Navy is still functioning. Now I don’t know shit about how the navy works or anything like that but I do know that’s not a position you can still have by sitting on your ass all day. The fact that he’s “out of shape” also contradicts directly with the fact that he uploads dance videos on Deviltube to support his idols. As someone who has tried to do idol dances, there is no fucking way he’s doing that if he can’t even jump rope. I’m being serious. Knowing that Levi likes anime character types like Ruri-chan and a group called “Starlet Hearts” leads me to believe he’s probably doing “cutesy” idol dances which are often high-energy and have a bunch of jumping.
If you’re curious on just much jumping, energy, and coordination goes into these types dances then I implore you to watch [ This classic cover ] and think about how this is the style of dances that Levi is most likely uploading on to Deviltube. And seeing how one of his videos goes viral, he’s probably very good at it too.
Now think about how he “can’t jump rope and run around the HoL”. It’s not possible that both are correct.
If you’re still not convinced that Levi is OP as fuck then I offer you this nugget of information. Leviathan says if he was in water then he and Mammon would be on the same level pretty much. Mammon, who is the fastest demon in the entire Devildom and has more control over his power than all 6 of his brothers. Mammon the Second strongest Demon Lord in the Devildom. Now fact check me if I’m wrong (which I could be, I haven’t been able to find the screenshot of him saying this), but this just further pushes into my fish out of water analogy. Leviathan has a terrifying amount of strength in the water not just from his muscles but the powers he possesses as well.
Leviathan calls himself the “Master of Water itself” when summoning Lotan. He has the power to not only summon Lotan, who is older (and most likely more powerful ) than Levi, but also can control all of the magical creatures in the sea. Pair this with the fact that he can conjure a trident and throw it like it’s a baseball…. He’s Strong as fuck! Let’s not even get into the fact that in mythology the Leviathan is like a younger version of Lotan. The sheer amount of power it would take to have control over every single magical creature in the ocean is mind boggling. One would think the Avatar of Envy would want to have the image of being the strongest so others could envy him, right?
Wrong.
There’s two reasons for why Levi could be not showing his full strength and when combined offer a whole new view of our lovely shut-in.
Reason one: Self-Esteem
It’s been shown to us time and time again that Levi has a low self-esteem to the point where he regularly calls himself a “lowly otaku”. He truly believes he doesn’t deserve the basic decency that is MC wanting to hang out with him. To me, this implies that Levi truly doesn’t see himself as a strong being. He sees his power to summon Lotan as a boost of an intimidation, not strength. So for him, the Title of Grand Admiral is the equivalent of a beginner rank he got in a game. It’s the bare minimum. He thinks anyone could do it. He takes his place as third place and nothing more because he doesn’t think he’s anything better then that. He convinces himself that all of his brothers must be stronger despite his obvious skills.
Reason two: Strategy
Being the Grand Admiral of Hell’s Navy means you have to lead hundreds if not thousands of troops. You have to have plans on top of plans for everything. You can’t lead a squad into a fight without a good strategy. You can’t tell me Leviathan doesn’t know how to strategize with all of the games he plays either. As a gamer myself, I can tell you right now I’ve used my knowledge in games to get through completely new games easily just based on general knowledge. Being the leader of such a group also requires meticulous planning skills which Levi definitely plans. You can’t play multiple on-going games and not plan how to play events if you want to get the best rank in them. Knowing Levi, he probably applies this logic in everyday life. Whether it’s from anxiety or not, Levi goes as far as to plan out how conversations go which further help him prepare for any outcomes. He also probably has incredible pattern recognition as well from all of the different games he plays. That’s something that’s incredibly useful when seeing how past battles have gone down or how to spot any inconsistencies. Now here’s where it ties into the Levi Op Theory. I believe Leviathan uses his gamer/otaku image to throw everyone off of his trail as the third strongest. After all, what better strategy to best your enemies is there then to fool them into thinking you’re weak and frail? If everyone thinks you can’t even run around the house then they will underestimate you in battle. Spending hours charting Devildom maps out is nothing compared to memorizing the entire map to 6 different games with expansion packs plus rhythm game master charts. Defeating an entire battalion is nothing more than a flick of the wrist when the entire battalion is only 50 low rank demons. The Avatar of Envy is such because those around him are jealous of the seemingly random power boosts he gets in battle.
Combine those two together and you get a wave of pure nightmare fuel because the boss you’re fighting against has 4 extra stages that he didn’t even know about.
Leviathan is a UR++ card hidden behind the guise of an already upgraded S rank card.
Tumblr media
Okay I think that’s all of my thoughts on why Levi is OP. Feel free to let me know your thoughts. To put the icing on the cake, I didn’t even plan for Levi to become one of my comfort characters but he’s among my top 5 Obey Me best boys now lmao

if you’re a new follower, or if you’re looking for something specific, here’s a master post over how i tag things and what all of my theories/timelines are! i try to stay up to date!
last edit: 4/3/24
general tagging system:
sega official speaks: any original posts
fic posting: usually just memes about fics im writing, or a link to a fic i posted on my ao3
master emerald brothel: asks (context for why it’s tagged as this here)
i try to tag characters, games, original posts, and spoilers but im not always consistent. probably don’t bother trying to ask me to tag triggers/whatever because again, im not good at tagging things consistently.
note: i hate the sonic movies. i will post about how much i hate them. im not looking for a debate. if you don’t like that i don’t like them, just block me.
note: i hate shadow the hedgehog (character). i will post about how much i hate him. im not looking for a debate. if you don’t like that i don’t like him, just block me. addendum: it’s a more nuanced opinion of him than this but like… i have a lot of conflicting opinions about sega’s usage of him and him as a character so im partial to just being negative
note: im very much a “game purist” sort of sonic enjoyer. so canontivity to me is dependent entirely on the games and i mostly post about the games. i do have knowledge and even tend to like other pieces of sonic media but the games are my one true love.
anyway if you happen to like what you see… i also happen to have a cash app… $justchillinghereman
timelines & theories
sonic is the original project shadow:
a theory that the original project shadow, who lived aboard the ark with maria and gerald, was actually sonic. shadow was created later on earth by gerald specifically to end the world after the raid occurred and maria was killed.
things i’ve written for the theory:
why do i get this feeling of deja vu: a series that focuses on the robotnik perspective of project shadow (shadow, eggman, and gerald) [status: incomplete, 1/4]
i won’t look back (i don’t need to): collection of stories centering around people unraveling the project shadow conspiracy (characters like vector, rouge, tails, and others exploring Sonic’s past and how it intertwined with shadow) [status: incomplete, 6/9 (hehe)]
more resources regarding the theory:
this master post (warning, it’s super long)
this chao island forum (note: there’s three parts to the theory. if you scroll down you should be able to find all three parts)
this youtube video (note: ties into the later theory of sonic being an alien, but discussion in the latter portion of it talks about sonic being aboard the ark)
this reddit forum
this tumblr post (note: mostly explored sonic x)
another reddit forum
sonic is a chao theory:
a concept that sonic actually evolved from a regular chao into the hero we know today. a strange stretch, but i promise, there’s some meat to this.
things i’ve written for the theory:
truth can run but not hide: tails finds something very weird in sonic’s dna…
more resources regarding the theory:
this youtube video (warning, kind of long!)
this tumblr post (discussion of sonic frontiers lore)
this tumblr post (smaller version of the youtube video)
sonic and the chaos force:
specifically, this theory is about the idea that sonic is the chaos force’s “chosen one”; it’s champion, if you will. sonic’s power regarding the emeralds actually has purpose beyond being a deus ex machina.
things i’ve written for this theory:
i see the chaos for everyone: a series about various characters meeting the chaos force, otherwise known as an embodiment of chaos energy. [status: complete, 7/7]
more resources regarding this theory:
this youtube video
this tumblr post
sonic is an alien:
for me, this theory ties into the concept that sonic is related to the ancients, as a descendant or a creation, take your pick. it mainly ties into the sonic is a chao theory, since it seems the koco and chao are genetically related.
more resources regarding this theory
this youtube video
sonic is metal sonic roboticised:
the theory that in the bad future of sonic cd, eggman managed to roboticize sonic into metal sonic. eggman then sends metal sonic back to aid his past self in the fight, but the butterfly effect now causes sonic to win, which leaves metal sonic stranded in the past.
things i’ve written about this theory:
beware your mind as it proves you wrong: a series of stories where characters investigate metal sonic’s connection to sonic [status: incomplete, 3/5]
more resources regarding this theory
this youtube video
another youtube video
and another youtube video
other things of note
chaos champion timeline:
taking a page from the sonic and the chaos force theory, this timeline acts as a franchise ending final game for the sonic series- where it’s revealed that the chaos force has been wanting to break free from their entrapment in the emeralds by searching for a proper host… who happens to be a hedgehog we all know and love. acting as sonic’s final adventure, this “au” explores the mythos and lore of the emeralds and connected deities and historical mobian figures while the race to stop the final apocalypse is on.
death swap au:
in which shadow survives the finalhazard battle, but sonic doesn’t. shadow grapples with overcoming his tragic history while trying to keep his promise to maria, and the new one he made to sonic. eggman, however, isn’t willing to take a break from his dreams of conquering the world, and continues to keep the new team sonic on their toes. adapts four games: end of sa2, sonic heroes, sonic advance two, shadow the hedgehog, sonic unleashed (and, as a spin off, sonic 06)
impact series:
in this series, various characters from the sonic media meet sonic the first time not in their respective first game appearance, but in a different, eye opening event: the flooding of station square in sa1. It’s a day that connects millions of people to Sonic, but it’s a day that causes a handful to eventually continue to cross paths with him (characters include: rouge, vector, vanilla, jet, silver, and more).
walk into my mystery:
this series explores the perception of sonic’s strange abilities and connection to large lore events (the echidnas, project shadow, etc) through the eyes of his friends. follows the sega way of telling a story… alluding but never outright confirming anything.

Arceus vs Solaris: a Battle of the Deities of Light
There’s been a question burning in my mind. A question I am unable to shake away from my thoughts. Eat, sleep, research, it all comes back to one thing, one all consuming question…
Can Solaris, Soleanna’s Sun God, triumph over Arceus, Sinnoh’s Original One?
I decided that I couldn’t take it anymore, so that’s why I’m here in the library, checking out anything I can find in the mythology section. I’ve got the information I need for Sonic the Hedgehog’s Solaris, so we’ll see what I’m able to do for Pokemon’s Arceus.
These won’t be entirely comprehensive overviews (mainly because Pokemon, by the sheer nature of being an RPG with a lot of moves, inherently has a lot to go over), but I will be sure to provide enough information to make sure you all can understand the conclusion.
Oh, and just so we’re clear, when applicable the standard rules for this lore blog will also apply to the Pokemon side of things where appropriate (the key differences being “no word of god”, and by extension using the main Pokemon continuity, a distinction that only matters when not using WoG statements).
Solaris, the Sun God, the Flames of Disaster…
Ah, Soleanna, one of many popular tourist destinations, and it’s hard not to see why. Between the old castle town of Soleanna, the city of water, and the various celebrations such as the water festival, it is truly a one of a kind experience.
Even their mythology is fascinating, with the yearly Festival of the Sun to give thanks to Solaris for watching over them with its eternal light. And it’s no wonder that Solaris would watch over them, as legends speak of the sacred flame being entrusted to the royal family.
But it’s not all good things, as Solaris is also said to have a wrath which, if awakened, would destroy the world - taking the form of Iblis, the Flames of Disaster. As Iblis, it could burn the world to ash if it wanted to, blocking out the sun to keep new life from growing, and even create an unending army composed of incarnations of itself from its rage. And even if someone were strong enough to defeat it, it would merely continue to reincarnate again and again for eternity. Once it’s released, the only way to stop it would be to seal it within a royal soul via a Chaos Emerald (although in theory, if a soul were already alit with flames they might serve as a substitute). Given the mythology is centred within Soleanna, the assumption is that a royal soul refers to the royal family.
Hidden deep within the library, I could also find a few tales of Mephiles the Dark, a schemer and manipulator who can take physical form by absorbing one’s shadow, and then mimics the power from whom he absorbed the shadow of. And on top of that, displays some level of control over time, even banishing others through time. If he’s absorbed your shadow, he can hide within it, unable to be expelled by anything besides the holy light of the Chaos Emeralds (given the lack of information, it’s hard to judge whether this is due to the light in and of itself, or if enough Chaos Energy is required).
Of course, as with every culture, the Chaos Emeralds manage to find a way to sneak themselves in somewhere. It’s said that if Solaris were to channel the miracle gems, it would become a transcendent being with a body of light, and be able to reduce all of time down into nothing, until the very concept of time ceases to exist. That’s even more impressive than it sounds, since to bring time itself down to nothing, it would have to bring Cyber Space, a universe composed entirely of information, down to nothing, alongside Maginaryworld, the 4th dimensional universe that holds the dreams of the entire multiverse.
But that’s not all, this empowered form of Solaris can exist throughout all of time at once, it can summon blue eyes of solaris to pull things in (even ignoring the protective properties of rings), or orange ones to spit out debris. It can fire laser-like beams, and it would even be able to harm the invincible super forms. And given this true form is achieved with the Chaos Emeralds, it might even be invincible itself (and can create a momentary shield that protects it from harm even from beings that can bypass said invincibility).
If this Solaris is a real being, then the people of Solaris have very, very good reason to keep it happy, as enraging it could very well reduce all of existence down to nothing…
Arceus, the Original One, Almighty Sinnoh…
Over in the world of Pokemon, the Sinnoh region has its own legends about the world and the universe. Their own theories on how the world came to be. In the beginning, before space, before time even, there just existed the primordial chaos.
Then within that primordial space an egg came into being. When this egg hatched, the Pokemon Arceus came to being. Arceus then created three beings from within this primordial nothingness: Dialga - whose existence caused time to start flowing, Palkia - whose existence caused space to start expanding, and Giratina - whose existence brought both matter and antimatter (most sources omit Giratina’s presence entirely, as its violent disposition caused Arceus to banish it).
And so Arceus created three more beings: Uxie - which granted knowledge to the world, Mesprit - which granted emotion to the world, and Azelf - which granted willpower to the world.
Palkia and Dialga created matter, and then Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf created spirit. And then Arceus went into a deep, everlasting slumber.
Despite the everlasting slumber, there have been a small handful of claims towards spotting Arceus - one of a trainer from the Sinnoh champion battling and catching it, one of a trainer from Johto with it in their possession being taken to the Sinjoh Ruins and witnessing the creation of an egg, one of a team of Pokemon Rangers situated in the Oblivia region calming it down and convincing it not to destroy the universe it created.
Most interesting one, however, is this old record from the Sinnoh region (back when it was known as the Hisui region), about when the very first Pokedex was created. It speaks of a trainer who was sent from the present to the ancient past and tasked with catching every single Pokemon by Arceus itself; and upon completion faced off against and defeated Arceus. Then to claim that Arceus as we know it is only a fragment of the real thing. Given that the Hisui Pokedex includes entries on what appear to be Porygon, a Pokemon we know the date of invention, there appears to be at least some validity to this time travel.
This supreme creator deity should be capable of everything its creations have been able to achieve, but on a much grander scale. Given that includes the universe, and plausibly many universes, that’s quite a lot of things it’s capable of. Too much to get into, truthfully.
Just know that there’s a lot of Pokemon who are capable of a lot of crazy things, such as Hoopa going through hyperspace, Porygon travelling through data, Eternamax Eternatus shutting down all (or I should say most) Pokemon’s ability to fight, the list goes on.
If all of these legends are true, and Arceus really was responsible for the creation of an entire multiverse, then it’s a good thing that it’s in an eternal slumber. And it’s a good thing that Pokemon Rangers are able to convince it to leave individual universes alone. Because otherwise, there’s not a single being that could stop it…
So, who wins?
I think overall the winner is-
… What?
Oh, you want some kind of fight, don’t you?
Well I technically could write one, but I don’t really want to put outright fanfiction on the lore blog, even if it’s for the sake of hyping up a lore fight.
Hm… You know what, I’ll put it on my personal writing blog, and just link it from here, that way if you want a fight you can read it, but if you don’t you can just skip to the conclusion.
Go read it here!
And welcome back, those of you who went to read the narrated battle, and for those who just want to hear the result, let’s break it down.
Speed wise, Solaris exists throughout all of time, and is able to fight against beings fast enough to dodge its attacks, which should grant it immeasurable combat speeds (movement speed is not relevant due to its temporal omnipresence). Arceus predates time itself and created the deity of time, and so should be immeasurable in kind - and should also allow it to land hits on Solaris throughout all of time to boot, even if it has to actively manipulate time to do so.
However, Arceus can easily gain the speed advantage by boosting its own speed up, up to a 4 times speed advantage.
So what about power?
Both can destroy an entire 4th dimensional universe (the size of these universes don’t matter, since breaking the universe itself is more impressive than destroying anything within said universe), but both benefit from intra-verse scaling differently.
The Palkia/Dialga that threatened to destroy the entire universe in Diamond/Pearl (and the Giratina that interfered in Platinum) were all at level 47 - less than half of their maximum strength. We know this event happened in a vague sense even in continuities that are confirmed 4th dimensional thanks to each event still following an overarching vague timeline - after DP is BW, and then XY (which introduces hyperspace thanks to Hoopa, who can traverse hyperspace via its Hyperspace Hole move).
At level 100, Palkia/Dialga/Giratina should reasonably be capable of threatening the universes contained within a singular copy, which includes that of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, where there are so many universes that it’s said to be uncountable (possibly even an infinite amount).
Then consider that stats in Pokemon can be given a +6 modifier, for a x4 increase, which puts that uncountable number even further apart from what Solaris would be able to achieve. And the Legend Plate (which Arceus can use even without the aid of a trainer) ensures its Judgement will always be the most efficient attack option possible, ensuring that Arceus will be attacking Solaris’s consciousness.
Even if we are deliberately overly generous for Solaris, its best scaling for durability (and invincibility) only goes to x40 (thanks to scaling from Super Sonic Powered Up and theoretically using the full power of the Chaos Emeralds rather than just an approximate quarter), and that’s well below an uncountable amount. Heck, some people have passed by more universes in their individual Ultra Space trips than that (such as this video, where someone passed by 89 of them, for a total of 90 alternate universes in this one trip).
And Arceus the Original One might possibly have created the entire multiverse rather than just the multi-universal structures that each game copy finds itself in, which would balloon the already clear power gap by millions, maybe even billions of times over.
So even if Solaris could defeat Arceus the Pokemon, Arceus the Original Spirit can merely create an endless stream of Pokemon at equivalent power for Solaris to fight through endlessly, ensuring that it loses the endurance battle. And as the creator of all Pokemon, it should have access to a greater array of specialised abilities than Solaris has ever had to deal with even as its base components.
Solaris vs. Arceus estimated win rate: 0%/0%/100% in favour of Arceus.
And… there you have it. An unfathomable battle between two deities, but in the end it can only ever end one way.

To the mod: What do you think about the lore some of the askers have dropped about their characters/worlds? I find Dusk's to be really interesting tbh (no hate to anyone else, I just vibe with the feral child's chaos energy)
That Thanatos Lore™️ she mentioned has me curious, what has the funky ghost fox been through to make him terrified of water?- I noticed some bubble-like markings on his face, maybe that has something to do with it? You got any theories about it?
I am eating up people's lore /lh
My theory with Thanatos is that he maybe drowned/watched someone he care about drown? Hence his fear of water.
That's all I could come up with, I didn't even notice the bubble markings until you pointed it out

okay so i was reading on speculation and theories on sonic prime
and i saw lots of curiousity (and appreciation too hehe) on shadow's eyes.
Tumblr media
theyre brown !! ⚆_⚆ he looks very pretty
here is a picture of his eyes being red before the whole shattering happened
Tumblr media
so what if, being in the void is causing some sort of chaos energy drainage. i am really not sure if chaos energy is a thing in prime but since chaos control exists then maybe? anyways, what if being in shatterspace for days, weeks or even months caused the color change (as we learn that time flows *really* differently. poor shadow oughh)
i thought about this because of the kind of generally accepted lore behind sonic's eye color. from black/brown in the classic version to the now vibrant green.
Tumblr media
the understanding is that sonic's eye color changed due to his constant exposure and harnessing of the chaos emeralds
so maybe being in the void, being unstable and being well, a void, shadow doesnt have access to chaos energy :(
i dont know if this makes much sense, i just wanted to put my thoughts out there. it could be just be the lighting or something but i dont think thats the case. tho there are some random shots where sonic has grey eyes (idk, im just including this since we are on the topic XD)
Tumblr media
thanks for reading, i would love to hear your thoughts on this. (❛◡❛)✿ have a flower and a good day! i guess we'll all find out when the series continues

Weird Sonic the Hedgehog theory?
So, with Sonic Frontiers out we got quite a load of lore.
And... well... this just occurred to me in this moment here and it's so... out there that I had to share? Bear with me as I'm horrible at explaining things.
You know how there's this kinda-rare-but-still-there AU where Sonic is an evolved chao? Not my favorite, but I do respect the points it explore for it to happen.
Aaaaand... Frontiers mentions that the Ancients did develop different forms on their planet, and that at a certain point they moved to Angel Island and became the Chao. Little creatures that can absorb the traits of little animals
Now, what if a small part of those survivors moved elsewhere and came in contact with their new home's animal population? And thus, we got the "mobians", apparently evolved animals capable of using tools, speak, and have complex thoughts and ideas.
Through the ages, they changed so much that they aren't "Ancients" anymore and lost their history due to having lost everything they had carried over from their planet to the Starfall Islands. So here they are, a completely new species composed by different subraces (hedgehogs, echidnas, foxes, etc etc) that thinks they have always been there.
Echidnas were possibly the first advanced civilization due to their proximity to Angel Island (at the time still glued to the planet below), but it has been mentioned somewhere that they were on a conquest path so there must have been other tribes surrounding them (case in point, the hedgehog statues in the desert levels of SA2 that eggman defiled. Not counting those on Angel Island as those seems to be the work of the Ancients that lived there).
Then we got the specials ones. Some mobians displaying strange traits and powers due to their adaptable genetics and Chaos Energy, which the planet seems kinda bathed in it due to the presence of the Master Emerald and the Chaos Emeralds. These mobians (using mobians for lack of a better term) are not rare, but they aren't common either.
And then... then we have Sonic. A hedgehog that is not only blue and can break the sound barrier, but has a penchant to absorb various energies and "mutate" accordingly (Super Sonic, Werehog, Darkspine and Excalibur if you want to stretch to those to the book series, the cyber form. It doesn't matter if he needs help along the way or not, the fact remains that in the end he is able to harness this power).
TL;DR: Sonic and any other character that is not human is a descendant of the Ancients. Kinda like the chao, but had better luck when it came to the evolution lottery.

Like the lore in Sonic Unleashed shows, Dark Gaia awakens periodically to break apart the planet and plague in eternal night as Light Gaia (Chip) stops him, Dark Gaia is sealed into the core to sleep for thousands of years the cycle continues.
There is no exact backstory regarding the two deities, many have theorized that they are relative to Chaos but there isn't really anything to back the theory up.
The minions of his can actually be created by him and controlled with his own evil will, his premature awakening though rendered him unable to control his minions when he broke a part.
His minions can also influence Mobians but not in the same way as humans, while the method for terrorizing humans takes a psychological approach what they do to Mobians is more physical, legend says that a mobian bitten, scratched or stung by one of Dark Gaia's minions are inflicted with his own energy which activates only in the dark of night by then the infected mobian is turned into a ferocious creature with only the instinct to attack anything in sight.
The affected mobians of course go back to normal when Light Gaia defeats Dark Gaia of course.
This was what happened to Sonic in the beginning of the game but luckily Sonic was able to retain himself and not given in to the murderous instincts.
His transformation was less shown as well as normally Were-mobians would appear more feral, each were-mobian would appear differently depending on the animal family. For a few examples reptiles or amphibians will change into the likes of either a dragon or some kind of dinosaur, Canines carry even more werewolf-ish traits than others, bats become cunning and vampiric while still being completely feral, insects or arachnids are by far some of the most terrifying as their form is almost unrecognizable from who they once were.

anyways following on from my last post I would like to introduce
The Space Cats
I have done the sun, the eight planets, the five undoubtedly confirmed dwarf planets and some choice moons. I have a WIP file for Ganymede somewhere but I'm on my phone right now so I can't get to it
each star system is like a big family, with the star as the parent and the generationality is determined by who orbits who. all the planets, dwarf planets and asteroids are siblings and their children are their moons. this gets weird for Pluto and Charon, I still have to figure out what their dynamic is, but overall, relationships within the same solar system are solely familial. I have to clarify this because someone on Scratch dot mit dot edu did decide to start shipping the space cats (I will have to find that comment thread, it was wild)
Tumblr media
the Sun, otherwise known in the Space Cats universe as Sol (he/him). (I tried to lose a lot of the geo-centric names for some of the astronomical bodies - IE, there are lots of Suns in the universe, our Sun isn't THE Sun, if you get what I mean.) A fun guy, a little too desperate to get with other Stars, if you ask his kids
Tumblr media
Mercury (they/them). Boy I would love to see them and Element Cat Mercury interact. (who am I kidding. I own both characters. I can do that) They are an oblivious little guy with a big imagination.
Tumblr media
Venus (she/her). A dapper, sassy and hot-tempered gal who is always uncomfortably warm
Tumblr media
Earth. The big E. Terra. Gaia. Home. In the Space Cats universe, her name is Tellus (she/her and he/him). Now, I drew this picture a while ago and I don't necessarily agree with how I characterized him here. Tellus is grouchy and sleepy, and only really has patience with her daughter. He has a lot of insecurities about his form because it keeps changing all the time in ways that she cannot predict. Changes to the planets' atmospheres don't make them sick, but he can see the green draining off his fur and that fucking terrifies him.
Tumblr media
The Moon, known in the Space Cats universe as Lune (she/her). She is full of energy and loves new things. She is always happy to inspect Tellus's new growths, but is not really aware of how uncomfortable it makes him. Lune was formed from a traumatic event in which Tellus and the protoplanet Theia collided with each other. Theia was destroyed, but was reformed into Lune. Tellus is haunted by this event and sees Theia whenever she looks at her daughter, but tries to shield her from his anguishes because he loves her
Tumblr media
Mars (he/him). edgelord. His villain arc is becoming frigid and void of life while Tellus has his moment in the Sun. A catty bitch who loves to gossip. He is jealous and can hold a grudge.
Tumblr media
Deimos (he/him) on the left and Phobos (they/them) on the right. Mars's chaos gremlins. He didn't ask for them, they just showed up one day and he cannot get rid of them. Deimos is a feral child who will attack you, and Phobos is a no-thoughts-head-empty child who will watch you while Deimos attacks you. Mars complains to Ceres about how annoying they are, but really, he loves them, and lets them go on with their shenanigans.
Tumblr media
Ceres (she/her). a little kitty with a big personality. She is plucky and can stand up for herself. She makes herself heard even when surrounded by massive cats like Jupiter and Saturn. The heart and soul of the asteroid belt. A queen, if I do say so myself.
Tumblr media
Jupiter (he/him). The big brother. Everyone admires him and looks up to him for advice. He is flamboyant and charismatic, if not a bit self-centred, but ultimately, his heart is big enough to contain love for himself and everyone in the solar system. As you can see with Metis (she/her), he carries smaller moons in his fur.
Tumblr media
Saturn (they/them). Look at that swag. oops! it's dead children. probably. Going off the theory that Saturn's rings were formed from a moon that broke apart under Saturn's gravity, this is the lore. They had lots of moons that they loved dearly, but eventually found them ill. "What's wrong?" "we are being torn apart." They were crushing their moons under the force of their smothering love and it broke them apart. As the debris coalesced into chains around them, Saturn vowed that this would never happen again. They distance themselves from their moons, much to their annoyance, and keep their rings as a reminder of what happens when they get too close to people.

Chaos Theory Primer
WHAT IS THIS:
An AU of an AU.
Once upon a time, I came up with a fighting game AU, where a bunch of series I like crossover. While this involves plenty of logistically questionable mechanics/character movesets, it also involves a story and Lore (TM)
Eventually, I decided to turn that fighting game AU into a story. As I am still on Act 1 of 3 and it’s been a year or two since the previous part, you can tell that that is going swimmingly. But, I got the idea for DLC for this AU. Eventually, as I picked up some new interests, and got deeper into the lore side of things, this escalated into what I like to call a “side B/Reverse-Side” of the AU: It’s still got the same fundamental key elements (with some new ones thrown in) but it’s gotten far beyond that: More SRW than fighting game, so to say.
Will I actually be writing this?
I dunno. I’ve got enough fics that I should be working on but aren’t. This project is just as much to unload the concepts in my head as it is to have it out there in some form. One could also argue that it’s also a bit much for a mediocre fanfic writer to handle.
If I get any particular ideas that I got an itch to write (I do have one idea in the wings, in fact) then I’ll definitely go for it.
But as is, think of this as more of a frame work. Maybe something akin to a TTRPG setting or something.
THE PLOT:
There is an overaching plot to Chaos Theory, as well as three different throughlines. Said throughlines aren’t fully thought out in regards to how they interact with the main plot so how it all shakes together at this point in time is… not too developed (cue AUs of an AU of an AU).
The overarching plotline revolves a mysterious space known as The Fantasy World or Minus World. This space twists and warps, creating new realms or shortcuts into existing ones. The result is a labyrinth, and later an “ocean” of structures such as shrines. This is due to the space being a hotbed for various types of energy, such as Star Power, Moon Power and especially Chaos Power.
Through some method, a warlock by the name of Xande found himself in the labyrinth. Seeking to recover his immortality, Xande began toying with the energies at play. While he was fruitless in directly making use of it, he came to understand the nature of the Chaos Emeralds, the Master Emerald and the space-time abilities of the rings. Thus, Xande began to experiment with the rings in hopes of drawing the emeralds to him.
Perhaps by fate, perhaps by coincidence, two parties found themselves within the labyrinth: The Warrior of Light, his four vassals and one of their allies, all of whom stood opposed to Xande previously, and an organization from the World of Darkness known as “World’s Eye” who bear similarities to the “Dark Cloud tribe”, a group of cloud-like aliens who control and corrupt planets, their callsign being their leader’s singular crimson eye.
However, not knowing of Xande’s presence, the two forces assumed that the other was up to some neferious plot. In the end, the Warriors of Light attempted to use Chaos Power against World’s Eye. However, it backfired and the four vanished. At the same time, five new structures arose in the Fantasy World: A treasure filled dungeon, a scholar castle, a lava-filled weapons forge, a manor atop a massive mountain range and a tower made of crystal, the lattermost of which creating a sea of light that makes entry towards it difficult, if not near impossible. One could also see massive airships flying around the space...
To make matters worse, Xande caught wind of his enemies being in the labyrinth and was able to secure biocells from them to create clones to search the world for anything useful. Mostof the clones are focused on their objectives, but other clones seem to be more self-interested. Then there are those that are so independent that it’s questionable if they came from Xande...
Time passes. Word soon spreads of the mysterious “Minus World”. Eventually it catches the attention of certain people. Some are explorers, such as Mag Launcher and Linear Cannon from Pannam Town or Rock Volnutt of the Skylands. It also catches the attention of power hungry people in high places, such as King Bowser of the Koopa Kingdom of Dr. Robotnik of the Eggman Empire. Some people enter for their own personal missions, such as Alex Kidd (& Stella!) of Radaxian, who enters in pursuit of the Bloom; A greedy star who has stolen the stars of planet Aeries. And finally, there are those who find themselves in the labyrinth purely by accident.
With so many people in such a place, chaos inevitably follows...
The three other plotlines/throughlines are as follows:
Plot A: A greedy Star known as the Bloom is absorbing all of the stars in the universe. When Planet Aries’ stars are absorbed, Alex and his good friend Stella set forth into the Fantasy World in order to stop it. But the Bloom isn’t the only villain who has their eyes to the stars…
Plot B: The age of Adventure is alive and well as all manner of diggers and adventurers strive to uncover the lost secrets of ancient civilizations. When the Launcher Clan (Mag Launcher and Linear Cannon) and Rock Volnutt find themselves in the labyrinth, they begin to discover a link between the ever present rings and Chaos Energy. Of course, while navigating the strange new world and unlocking the secrets, they’ll have to contend with ancient mechanisms, imperial forces and sky pirates and even secrets from their pasts...
Plot C: The odd interdimensional nature of the Labyrinth leads to some unforeseen results. When Kirby & Klonoa find themselves at an intersection between awakening and dreams, the two become fast friends. However, they quickly discover a threat that puts the dreams of all in jeopardy and the two set off to protect all good dreams everywhere. However, a certain Wizard is lurking in the shadows and is determined to make Klonoa’s greatest dream into a Nightmare of a reunion…
INVOLVED SERIES:
This rank has three categories to it; “Definitely” means that I envision it as a staple part of the AU. “Maybe” means that, had I been writing this for real, the series probably or probably not would’ve stayed. “Probably” just exists for the game that I want to include but haven’t actually played yet.
Definitely: Mario, Sonic, Kirby, Evolution/Evolutia, Mega Man**
Probably: Skies of Arcadia/Eternal Arcadia***
Probably Not: Pokemon, Legend of Zelda, Madou Monogatari* ***
* Probably the least likely on that list, but I’m putting it there anyway.
** The original AU this is based on had X as the Mega Man series in question. For Chaos Theory, it has been swapped to Mega Man Legends.
*** Have not played at the time of this writing.

hi lore hi hi hi you said hisui headcanon lore???? 👀👀👀 hisui hc lore please 👀 ty
HIIIII I was gonna draw some stuff for this but. Alas it is 6 am and god has seen fit to punish me for my hubris (cramps) so I’m just gonna distract myself writing this while I wait for the ibuprofen to kick in
So this is like. Completely out there bc it’s just me cherry-picking the series’ worldbuilding that I enjoy (and also completely changing it) for the sake of self indulgence <3
The Celestica people lived in ancient Hisui and were part of a trade network with the other regions. 3000 years ago, there was a war between Galar and Kalos that resulted in the darkest day and the ultimate weapon, and the news spread all over. A few centuries later, a traveller from Hisui came across the decimated weapon and its story. Idk who this character’s gonna be, probably a new OC bc I can't think of a canon character to throw this backstory onto
A bit of hc lore regarding how the ultimate weapon works: it's powered by infinity energy, the life force of pokemon, which is canon. I elaborate on that by having all infinity energy sourced from Arceus. Every pokemon is tied to it through the infinity energy necessary to live and exist (oh my god I just thought of the implications of this for manmade pokemon holy shit that's so cool I gotta think about this more), but some have more power than others. Legendaries (and maybe some mythicals?? I can't remember them all rn), which have power over nature/reality, have some of Arceus' own creation power tied into their infinity energy. All those mons are some of Arceus' thousand arms. This power can be harnessed by the ultimate weapon, which is how Lysandre intends to make the player immortal by powering it with Xerneas (so if someone powered an ultimate weapon with Kyogre, it could manipulate the oceans; if someone powered it with necrozma, it could manipulate light; etc etc)
So anyways -- the Hisuian came back and began building a new weapon, this time with the intent to create an entirely new world, just like Cyrus and Volo. Instead of a singular body like in Kalos, the three "petals" were placed around the region, equidistant from the temple of Sinnoh in the center. Each third was powered by one of the creation trio's orbs.
But tracking down those orbs was tough work -- the weapon-builder, who I'm just gonna call ZA for ease, reached out to historians and merchants to try and locate them (no one knew what they were up to at this point and what the orbs were intended for). Once all 3 had been found, the finders were told to bring them to a certain location at a specific time. At this point, ZA was at the temple of Sinnoh in the center of a region-wide weapon, and they fired.
Each third of the weapon created a crater, the three lakes. I made this shitty little representation like 3 weeks ago DHFJDKFK it's based off my vague memories of the nationwide transmutation circle from watching fma like 6 years ago
Tumblr media
The weapon tore open a massive rift that kinda threw everything to shit, like having a spacetime distortion covering all of Hisui. This is the threat that the ancient hero mentioned in-game solved (I like the theory that the hero is Alder <3 so he was dragged in by the distortion like Ingo was, just. A couple thousand years earlier)
As for the people who delivered the orbs and were caught up in the blast -- idk who the lustrous globe holder was tbh, maybe I'll make them another oc if I don't find a character to chuck that lore onto. The one who had the griseous core was Volo; Cogita had the adamant crystal. Like AZ, they gained immortality from proximity to the weapon, but also inherited other elements of their respective pokemon's infinity energy. Cogita can see the past and future; Volo can access the distortion world. The theoretical third character could warp space or teleport.
The weapon firing and ensuing chaos killed off a lot of the Celestica people, and the remaining few had no stability in Hisui and so left for other regions. A few centuries before pla, the diamond and pearl clans' ancestors arrived, taking up the title of Celestica and upkeep of the temple of Sinnoh. I'd like to think that Cogita had passed on some of the ancient stories to them, which is how they know about the rift and hero from the past, as well as Dialga and Palkia (even though things got. A little misconstrued there)

i'm new to it all so how come everyone is agreeing it's Carlos who has the secret child?
oh boy this ranges into the territory of wag lore that i don’t actually know much about (my judgment was based on vibes and age) but basically i think the key elements of the profile in most people’s minds are:
under 30 (seems like older 20s range, otherwise they would just say “in their 20s”; imo under 30 = 28-29)
he broke up with his long term girlfriend is(s)a more recently (i think) than some of the other notable long term relationships ending (i.e. charles which was like… a year ago)
he soft/hard launched his new girlfriend like… a few races ago? recently but he was seen with her much earlier (?? i think it’s the same person he was pictured with right around the time he broke with issa)
(the rude reason) some have pointed out that with his family’s wealth/background and political scheming he’s a prime candidate for secret hidden child
(for me) it’s about the aura. the vibes. the energy. you show someone a picture of carlos sainz with his classically attractive but frequently clueless face and tell them he has a secret hidden child and they’d be like “yeah that checks out”
(my personal theory) it’s simply funny to join in when the collective has chosen the joke that they are going with and carlos happened to be the “popular” choice
the ferrari boys have a strange and rather undeserved reputation for being red flags in their little red cars & charles doesn’t fit the timeline
but mostly bc it’s simply hilarious & i for one enjoy the chaos of deranged rumors (my reasoning)
