i remember the younger primes being outcasted/mistreated by the older primes after the battle w/ unicron in the covenant of primus, though i don't remember if thirteen was also mistreated since i haven't read it in a long time

so i was thinking maybe a short story about thirteen being mistreated? but like, marginally more since he's thr absolute last of the thirteen

Giftless, powerless, without purpose. That was what they said about him nonstop. They did not mean to be cruel, Thirteen could see it in their optics. They were merely stating what they saw as a fact. That didn't stop it from hurting. That didn't keep him from wandering aimlessly in order to escape their backhanded words.

Most of his siblings ignored him or otherwise regarded him distantly. He was a decoration at the best of times and a roadblock on days when the patience of his kin was limited. Prima threw him out of the way once, and Quintus threatened to drop him in a vat of acid just to see if an energy being could melt. If he wasn't a waste of space, he was a training dummy. There really wasn't much of a choice on his end. he didn't feel pain, so of course it was only logical that he assist in things that had him performing as an object rather than a person. Thirteen was not their equal, not in the optics of his fellow Primes.

The only one who treated him well was the most unlikely of the Primes. The only other partial outcast.

"Thirteen, my little Prime, what have they done to you this time." Solus ran her digits along his armor, the armor she made for him when she saw how damaged his original shell had become. It was a gift forged with love after she finally witnessed how carelessly he was being treated.

Where before she had largely ignored him, now she coddled him. Perhaps it was the fact that Thirteen was being damaged, or maybe it was simply because she had been mostly unaware of his presence. It could have even been because she saw another outcast in him. Whatever the case, she tended to him.

"Another scorch mark..." She sighed as she pulled him into a hug. It was a new thing for him, but Thirteen melted into her embrace all the same. She was the only one who understood. She was the only one who cared.

"I'm sorry they cannot see your light as I do." She shook as she caressed his helm so lovingly forged for his use. He could feel her tears trickling onto his armor. He wanted more than anything to wipe them away, but there was little use. She was the only one of their number who did not match the mold set by the others, and Thirteen was the broken Prime lacking in power and frame. They were outcasts, and neither of them were going to cease being scorned for their oddities any time soon.

"I promise you, I will change things for us. We will be seen, and when I can convince the others, I will personally make you a seat at our table." Solus cupped his face, her violet optics burning bright with passion. She would do as she promised, regardless of the cost. Thirteen wished he had a voice to deny her wishes with. He was fine being discarded so long as he had her. He needed no seat at the table of the Primes. He needed no respect or honor despite how much he longed for it.

He just needed Solus, and he needed her to be safe. Standing up for him would only make her a target. Her oddities already had her position hanging by a mere thread. If she were to act out on his behalf...

"Don't, please don't. they will hurt you as they do me."

His words meant nothing. She could not hear his pleading thoughts as she comfortingly began the process of touching every new scar upon his frame. It did not hurt. He was incapable of feeling pain. But by Primus, did every mark feel like a scorch on his spark.

"I will speak with Megatronus. If all goes well, we may gain him as our ally and fix things. Don't you worry Thirteen, this too shall pass." She pressed a kiss to the crest of his helm, a motherly gesture that Thirteen cherished. He prayed that she would endure, that her passionate spark would last forever.

And yet, he had a feeling it was not to be.

Cybertronian Colloquialisms - Primes Edition

So we've all heard "By the AllSpark!" or "What in the Pit?" or "Oh Primus" in our TF media. However, I feel like TF writers are missing out on the goldmine that is colloquialisms invoking the different Primes. So, here is a small collection of such colloquialisms, and please, feel free to add more if you have any of your own you use.

"Primus below!" - Exclamation similar to "God above!", invoking the fact that Primus is the core of Cybertron.

"Vector give me patience" - Often paired with "because if Prima gives me strength, I'm going to need bail money." The go-to for when somebot if getting on your last nerves.

"To Alchemist!" - A popular drinking toast, to thank Alchemist Prime for inventing high grade.

"The Three Below" - Refers to Solus, Onyx, and Micronus, the three Primes who formed the Well of AllSparks

"Maximum Blessings on you" - a stealth insult/curse from some dialects, where "Maximum" and "Maximo's" are nearly indistinguishable. As Liege Maximo was the Prime of Lies and Trickery, it's a fitting way to wish someone ill.

“Solus’s slag pit” - Used for something incredible, awful, and incredibly awful. Often used to refer to the latest high society fashion mess.

"Find peace or take it up with the Fallen." - In other words, calm down or screw off.

“As you say, my Liege” - A condescending remark towards a person who’s attempting to lie, cheat or mislead.

Again, if you have any primal colloquialisms you use for your fics, reblog and share them with the rest of us.

The Halo of Primus is made out of the sigils of all of the other primes-- With the only exception being Thirteen’s sigil, which is missing. 

I added the names of each Prime here (somewhat poorly in Paint, lmao) because the version of this image on the TF Wiki doesn’t specify which sigil belongs to who, although you’ll notice these sigils are used on the Wiki on any pages that relate to a given Prime. 

The reason why Thirteen’s sigil is missing is likely because he requested that all evidence of his existence/identity (prior to his “reincarnation”) should be erased, which Alpha Trion agreed to (although somewhat reluctantly).

If I could write the 13 I would have Alchemist and Onyx hate each other. Since Alchemist represents civilization and its expansion and Onyx represents nature and instinct they had very different worldviews and butted heads a lot.

Oh yeah, I can see that. I have the headcanon that the Guiding Hand in TFP is the dominant triad of Prima, Alpha Trion, and Alchemist as they can represent the pillars of society: law, religion, and science. Plus, they were the ones that remained behind after the war that killed or scattered them.

Personally, I view Alchemist as one of the moderates of the Thirteen as he has a flawless mastery of chemistry since he's the original alchemist. He has a deep understanding of the world on a material and spiritual level. "As above, so below." The very metals and composites he worms with come from the world, so he would push for sustainability measures, which Onyx, Megatronus, and Solus will throw their considerable weight into it.

This Onyx would have howling matches with Prima's focus on just the bipedal mortals to the point of destroying the natural world they have created on their Father's, especially after Prima declared that civilization will lie ahead with city-states. Even after Onyx's death in Solus' grave to help power the Well, the conflict will continue as the Predacons and other Wilders will scorn the "Forceful Hand."

Without Megatronus, Onyx, Liege, and Solus and the eventual loss of Amalgamous, Micronus, Quintus, and Nexus to combat the immense influence held by Prima's court, it's no surprise that Cybertron lost so much of its natural state (exacerbated by the Quintesson occupation) as there was no powerful blockade to counter the Eldest's strict, unforgiving rulings.

It started out as a fanart doodle of Solus prime but the recent upload to @lets-try-some-writing and @spreadward's fic - A Vision of Past and Future has got me hooked. I had more fun as it went.

It is a great fic and I can’t wait for more chapters. Thank you for the effort you guys put in I wish I could kudos it every chapter.

I have a TFP au idea.

Optimus being a reincarnation of The Thirteenth is canon. The special-ish thing about The Thirteenth's death is that he went down the recently-created Well.

Solus' death created The Well in the first place when she sank through the ground into Cybertron's core after dying. Iirc Onyx and Micronus went with The Thirteenth. So logically at least Onyx, Micronus, and potentially Solus should also be able to be reborn like The Thirteenth was, right?

What if the original Primes were needed to put Unicron down? Not necessarily all of them (the Primes who died in other ways mitght not have even been reincarnated?), but more than one?

Thinking about my concept where Shockwave is actually Onyx's reincarnation (you see his beastformer thing in Aligned?). Not sure who would be Micronus, or Solus for that matter. I think TFP Alpha Trion was supposed to be one of The Thirteen, but idk if he'd still be alive during season 1's events?

Ooooo???? That'd be fascinating, and yeah alpha trion was an original thirteen prime member but he definitely died before our series of events so he'd have to go through the reincarnation process

I can definitely see Solus being reincarnated into a TFP Hot Rod / Rodimus, just as a treat (blame Reforged for that, great fic I need to finish) (this is also because I've been thinking about Roddie but in tfp)

On Cybertron, metallurgists who work primarily with the surface layer of a Cybertronian's body are sometimes known as "skin specialists" or "scratch doctors", as they are most often seen when repairing superficial damage like scratches, cracks and dents. Certain versions of Swerve, Fixit, Alloy and Dermis have worked in this field, and—rather more disparagingly—some medics such as Knock Out are referred to as scratch doctors, to imply that they focus more on cosmetic maintenance than actual medical engineering.

Personally, I have never needed to visit a scratch doctor; my status as one of the Thirteen Primes grants my living metal a certain regenerative quality that most 'bots lack, and when I have need of more thorough repairs, I can rely on Safeguard or my siblings like Solus, Alchemist and Energoa to patch me up.

drew the two members of the thirteen that catch my interest, mostly because of blehgh :P

in my mind's eye, solus prime didn't straight up get shot to death, she just got her creation lathe broken, so she punched her way back to the core along with onyx, micronus, amalgamous, and thirteen so that they could forge something new also the thirteenth never exactly reincarnated; instead they used their spark to help ignite the well of all sparks, splintering themself across all who would ever be born from it

you're probably one of about 50 people that still care about the thirteen primes so i have to ask; have you ever drawn Thirteen or have any hcs for them? :)

I've never drawn 13 before or even thought about them that much, so, here goes!

Number 13, also known as Optimus Prime.

Optimus is the youngest of the 13 primes. I saw many people imagining him as in more of a toddler age, but in my head he's a young adult teenager (about 18-19 years old).

Optimus was Prima's special boi. Prima forgave him his quirky little adventures quickly and easily, because he always had his sibling's best interests in mind.

His quirky little adventures usually included taking the Star saber and without anybody's knowledge and only Micronus' help charging into battle with whatever threat was looming over his family.

While Optimus was very fond of the Star saber (that he couldn't possibly use in a proper manner), he had weaponry of his own in form of a supernova revolver and the hope dagger.

Both created by his beloved sister figure, Solus. Solus even trusted 13 with her hammer so Optimus can make bullets for himself whenever he needed.

Sadly, 13 was a part of the reason why the primes started falling apart. Prima got paranoid and overprotective of Optimus and forbid him to contact Megatronus in fear that he might hurt 13.

Ironically, if 13 had a chance to complete his physical development in time of peace (as he was created in his middle life stage instead of fully formed), he would turn out to be the most Unicronic prime ever created.

His abilities started to show themselves very early on, as he brought Prima back from her total shock on the Unicron battlefield. Later, that ability began evolving to the point when 13 could bring back people from near death, if they had enough spark energy.

During the war of primes, while everyone was busy trying to rip one another to shreds, he dragged Liege's dying carcass close to Solus and tried bringing them both back. Dying Onyx followed him and thanks to the spell's light was saved from looming death. It is however unknown what happened after. When Onyx woke up, his wounds were halfway healed, and the skies had cleared. There was no Optimus in sight, and only a silhouette from where Solus and Maximo once were.

And so the cybertronian legend says, that Optimus prime might still be around.
