Sorry for being such a slow writer, it's because I [remembers that self-deprecating jokes are harmful to my mental health and make everyone else uncomfortable] was attacked by dark spirits and washed up on the shore of a mysterious island with no recollection of who I was

some silly robot designs
their silly lore:
Judicator is a Predacon who survived the Cataclysm with amnesia and a damaged T-Cog; he's vaguely aware that he used to have a different altmode, and also feels a bit...out of place among others, but he sets that aside in favor of focusing on his work. Hardly anyone knows his actual name; Judicator is his title.
Vent's just a normal musician, don't worry about it! The fact that he keeps singing songs about things he couldn't possibly know about or events that have yet to occur is just happenstance; he's a very good storyteller, you know.
Leafnode is a walking, talking terminal for Vector Sigma. This drew some unwanted attention from the High Council, who upon discovering her unique traits, quickly squirreled her away for "protection".
Tayef and Ahangar are, respectively, a clerk for the High Council and an architect. Both before and after the war, actually! Ahangar's not super happy that the planet had to get the scrap kicked out of it for him to get as much work as he does now; Tayef's just happy he managed to get his old job back.

I notice that sometimes your art is from a traditional format - how do you get it so clean and crisp? The lineart is very noticable and the background of the paper looks like it isnt even there!
I cant get mine to look like that, maybe im not pressing hard enough on the paper...
dON'T press harder noooo anon, that can cause really bad hand problems! whenever I scan in pictures that I have drawn in pencil (something I haven't done in a long time, but used to a great deal) I correct the black/white contrast using the computer. most drawing programs have an option to do this, usually something called 'levels', which means you can make the white of the paper whiter and the lineart darker. I also did this for when I was storyboarding because I was much more comfortable drawing that way!

You know that post that was going around a while back, talking about how one of the buckwild things about Transformers is that it's like a few dozen major players on both sides of the war and they all know each other?
Because that was genuinely hilarious (the idea of seeing the enemy general across the battlefield and thinking oh, no, it's THIS asshole again is just gold), but also, on a serious note: I think this is actually one of the real draws of Transformers.
It's warfare made intimate. Modern war stories usually depict it in all its vast, impersonal, mechanical real-world horror, for obvious reasons - and Transformers can do that, too, sometimes - but there's something so... awful and compelling at once, to think about what it would be like to fight a war where you come to know so many of the enemy by name. What it would mean to live for eons and eons and spend them all fighting this one guy. What it would actually be like to live that scene in MTMTE where everyone's talking about their personal archnemeses in the other faction - that strange paradox of not really understanding the enemy at all, and knowing them better than you know yourself. It draws on images from legend, of war as it probably never really was: it's Hector and Achilles at the gates of Troy, it's samurai calling out their enemies to duel on the battlefield, it's Hannibal and Scipio secretly meeting the night before one of their armies will annihilate the other.
And that will always be fascinating.
