I feel like even in trans positive spaces trans men are seen as less authentic than trans women, because we supposedly have something to gain by transitioning or wanting to be men. (social power.) It's reflective of how we look at historical people that by today's standards we would see as trans men (Joan of Arc) or fictional characters that live as men while secretly being women. (Naoto from Persona, Sheik from Zelda.) And this is going to be an uphill battle until we get rid of gender essentialism in our spaces completely.

I just imagine oot Zelink as married couple and someone goes up to Zelda and is like "I saw your husband kiss a man!" and Zelda is all shocked and calls Link to the scene who of course denies that.

When Zelda asks for details she realizes something.

She had snuck out of the castle as Sheik to spend some freetime with Link.

Someone had seen them.

Zelda was the man Link was supposedly cheating with.

Link had cheated on his wife with... his wife.

And the both still laugh about it years later.

LOU'S 200 DTIYS!!

So, recently I got 200 followers, and after thinking about it a bit I figured I wanted to do a dtiys. And I was planning on including just the lineart as part of it so that anyone who was interested could participate with that, but after I was done with the lineart I so profoundly did not feel like coloring it that I chose not to.

If you want to draw your own rendition of this piece, go ahead! If you just want to color it, do that! If you're a writer or some other kind of creator that wants to do it in some other kind of way, go for it! All I ask is that you tag me so that I can see it.

This is just for fun, no prizes, no deadlines, do it whenever you want!

Biggest pity in MM was that they never went through with including fisherfolk Ganondorf, Sheikh/Zelda and Impa.

YES that would have been so funny and/or so unsettling depending on how they would have went with it (and knowing Majora's Mask, it could have easily been both).

Could you imagine their reactions on the night of the Final Day, as the moon slowly collapses and they have to face their own demise? I am just sooo curious about what their interpretation would have been like here, all three of them. Would it go in complete opposites of what their OoT characters would have done, or would it parallel hidden aspects we never get another chance to see???

I mean. It's all speculation. But. Can you imagine.

AU where Ganon surprise adopts toon Link the first time they face each other.

1- Link tells Tetra to free the girls while he focuses on Ganon and the Helmaroc King to keep them from being seen. But as he's fighting, the bird isn't really trying to hurt him- just grab him, which is admittedly difficult with the kid swinging the Master Sword at it, but eventually it manages and takes Link up.

2- Upon being deposited in the broken ship atop the fortress, Link quickly learns that the Master Sword will not bring down Ganondorf- who corrects him on the name- and doesn't even seem to touch him. Instead of explaining why, Ganondorf sits down and pats the floor, and begins using one of his secret skills: lying. Ganondorf is like "look, boy, I don't know who told you that old sword would kill me, or how you even found it, but they were using you. Was it those pirates? You should stop trusting people who shoot you out of cannons." Link is offended on the King of Red Lions and Tetra's behalfs, and his reaction tells Ganondorf enough.

3- "Ah, well, I suppose I can respect that. You know, long ago my people kept a fortress not in a sea, but a desert. Some hylians, fleeing the civil war or their kings' cruelty, would make it though the desert. Those who could survive that were granted protection, and those who could break into our fort were welcomed as warriors into our tribe. Not the first time they did, but if they continued trying after that first failure." Link is like "uh huh" and only half paying attention because he's trying to figure out if Tetra got all the girls out before he books it himself.

4- he does start paying attention when Ganondorf then says, "Welcome to the Gerudo tribe, vevko." At Link's confusion, Ganondorf just asks "Well, as the newest son of the Gerudo, who else could be your parent but me?" Link then has many protests, some about his grandmother but most about his sister, and Ganondorf nods. "I will let you decide then, if you agree to stay. Will your sister stay here with us, or would you send her away?" Link just wants Aryll safe at home, so Ganondorf nods and the Helmaroc King goes to frighten Tetra and Aryll to the ship, as the younger girl was trying to run to her brother instead of following the pirate. Ganondorf says it's very wise of Link, sending Aryll away means she can return to be welcomed into the tribe as well, as a warrior sister. Link does not want his little sister in danger or fighting at all, and Ganondorf recommends he get over that, because as much as he once felt the same about his kinswomen, reality demands more. The Ganondorf claps him on the shoulder and orders a few monsters to start helping prepare a proper child's room, discussing how they're going to get to get Link into some proper clothes, and eat some real food, because he can't imagine a child ate all that well on his own. Link protests that he's of age, and wears the hero clothes as custom. Ganondorf is like "hmm yeah no twelve is not adulthood, let's go vevko." and ignores Link's five attempts to attack him as he figures out a room situation for the kid.

5- Ganondorf's motivations are not as pure as he claims, as always. He does feel some gratitude for Link drawing the Master Sword and unsealing his full power, while also being sure the boy himself isn't a threat as the Sword didn't have the power it did in the hands of a true hero. Keeping the boy and the sword here might draw the Princess and the Real hero out, however, allowing him to collect the Triforce. Especially since the "collect children" plan didn't work, so the current daughter of the royal family might be an adult and harder to narrow down. Also, the kid genuinely impressed him with his breaking and entering skills and doing all of that for his little sister, so it's not like it's babysitting some crying brat all day. The Ritos', Valoo's, and pirates' attempts to get him away or hurt so they can grab Link also make Ganondorf dig his stubborn heels in: this crazy kid is his vevko now, if they wanted him they should have done better with the sword situation.

#vev= child. vevev= baby. vevhi= daughter. vevko= son. #Ganondorf IS going to try a lot of telling history from his current side (you know where he doesn't admit to using mind control on the #Gerudo who didn't want to go to war and didn't share his temporary wins to enrich his whole people just. got a lava moat installed at his #new castle) #but also with some very fair digs at the hylian crown and everything else going on there #however uh toin coss if Link is ever actually listening to him or just planning the next escape attempt #pocket talks to people #anon #ask game #hey quick question why was Ganondorf only kidnapping hylian girls when looking for the princess like #doesnt he remember the whole 'hiding as sheik' thing even if hes got some gerudo assumptions about how often girls are born into that line #well. if they are assumptions. considering Hylia the ratio could very well not be a average 1:1. but STILL even if 90% of royals are #princesses named Zelda. the whole Sheik thing! #anyway tangent over

Can you rank the heroes?

...this seems dangerous. There's a lot of Heroes, how is he supposed to rank them? Based on what? "I'm not exactly comfortable ranking the Heroes of Hyrule. So let's try a different aspect."

"The Hero of the Sky," legend? "Hylia's chosen Hero, the story that is painted in the textbooks, speaks of one of absolutely dedication and bravery. All the heroes have courage, though the way in which that ability presents itself is different for each of them. The Hero of the Sky wasn't handed a destiny like everyone else, he chased his path because he wanted to save someone important to him. He faced his future with courage that presented itself as the will to go further than anyone else. To not back down even when he's told he's not doing enough."

"The Hero of Twilight," what an odd title, "had to face obsticals that no one has ever been presented with before. He had to fix the mistakes that the Sages and his ancestor created. He had to experience physical and painful changes to his body that leave irriversable marks on them. They had to find the courage to become not only the Hero of Hyrule but an entirely seperate person and creature at the same time. Arguably, they went through the most changes of any Hero and they managed to overcome it and use it as a strength."

"The Hero of the Wild," a ridiculous title, "there is arguably nothing braver than failing and getting back up to face that failure. The Hero of the Wild was defeated, he fell and died--more or less." It is called the Shrine of Ressurection. It implies he died. "Not only did he fail and die though, but he found the courage to get back up and save the world not just once, but twice. With everything that was done to him, with the suffering, the anguish, the failure, and the loss of a limb. Courage and bravery don't always walk hand in hand, you can have courage and be absolutely terrified at the same time. I'm sure many of the Heroes would agree with me. But the Hero of the Wild I believe is the best example of both. Of overcoming one's faults."

"Link," the Hero of Time, "was a child." The perhaps most wellknown fact. "He was maybe, barely, ten or eleven when we dragged him into everything that was going on. A child who can't even consent to medical care let alone make the choice to run around battling monsters in the name of a Princess he probably didn't even know existed. Everyone seems to believe his journey started after he drew the Master Sword, but that's far from the truth. Even before he drew that sword, he had to run around collecting the tools to unlock the Sacred Realm. He had to watch the Deku Tree die and be blamed for it." he wonders, sometimes, if the Kokiri blamed and hated him for it. If he knew that.

A shaky breath is taken in.

"The Hero of the Wild spent his entire journey alone, that is horrible and sad, and arguably worse than the others. Sky had Fi, Twilight had the Princess of Twilight, and Link had Navi and--myself. However, I believe there is nothing more lonely than having people around you and being unable to reach out for them. Constantly, the Hero clearly wanted, needed, whatever comfort wanted help and I just shoved him away." It's hard to say which one of them was the lonliest. He thinks, in a way, all of them were just alone.

"Link was used by everyone around him. The Deku Tree, the Princess, The Goddesses... myself. Everyone took advantage of him and he selflessly continued to help the world because he didn't want to see anyone else get hurt. Because he was asked to. Because I manipulated and pushed him. And then, even after his journey, he ran off somewhere that treated him even worse and he still found the courage, bravery, selflessness to help people."

Platonic link and sheik for the bingo ask?

OUGGHHHHHHH Sheik and oot Link are so :(((( okay I'm pretty sure most people know, but still, I headcanon that they have a platonic/familial relationship as they're long lost siblings. But beyond that, I just love the idea that they find each other no matter what and are intrinsically linked in a way. No matter the length of time or distance, they always find and love each other, and they're so, so damn devoted to each other!! I think that they both represent what they're desperately needing, but at the same time, make peace with. oot Link struggles with losing his childhood and feeling out of time/strung between adulthood and childhood. Sheik struggles with barely having a childhood as he had to grow up so fast in order to survive. Both of them desperately want a family as their original family never quite accepted them. oot Link always had to struggle with feeling "othered" and not a true kokori while Sheik never had a family that actually trusted and believed him, except Impa, of course.

And Sheik blames himself so much for believing that he stole Link's childhood away and dragged him into everything when it was always out of both of their control. There's this constant vibe of them caring about each other so much, but constantly looking down on themselves that they always just think they're hurting the other. But, they can never quite make themselves leave each other's side and I think that they're actually really good for each other!! My personal interpretation is that after majoras mask and learning the importance of connections despite the possibility of loss and grief, Link returns to Sheik. Because they always find each other no matter what, and it takes a bit of help for Link to finally let himself move on from the grief and alienation he feels to finally become a family with Sheik.

Also they're just long lost brothers and are really protective and loving towards each other I'm very <33333 over them !!!! They're tragic yeah, but I feel like the most important part of their dynamic is that they're always there for each other no matter what and want the absolute best for the other. They're each others shield, sword, but most importantly, they're each other's brothers. oot Link realizing that he's always had a family out there and Sheik realizing that he still has a single member of his family left, what if I cried everywhere

Welcome to Lifelight!

Lifelight is an au (more of an original story than an au, really) of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate where the roster- mostly the Miis- is tasked with exploring the universe and learning about the myths surrounding its creation so they can rid the world of demons that have started to ambush certain locations. It’s a pretty simple outline of a plot, but I’m still working on everything going on.

There’s a chance I’ll make a Lifelight comic, but it’s slim- this blog is just where I’ll dump my ideas & art, and also an ask blog! Here, you can talk to the characters- sometimes accompanied with a picture! There will also be some in character posts

I’m not the most knowledgeable in every franchise represented in Smash- I play Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, Mario, Kirby, Animal Crossing, and Minecraft (I also am pretty familiar with Earthbound), so info on fighters from any other series would be helpful!

There are a few characters who aren’t playable in Smash/not in Smash at all that are in Lifelight because I can do what I want. These are:
