Indeed, who else but that little sea scented puppy of a mech? Wasn’t like Megatron was the most popular guy on the ship to have a lot of visitors, and aside the captains and Magnus, no one else seemed to have any interest in tracking the mech down for conversation.

Yeah, sure, the war was ‘over’, and he meant that quite loosely, but a little birdie told him Megatron still lived for the thrill of combat and Seacrest had spent a lot of time tracking down all their old deployments and mission report footage of the sheer chaos a bunch of wet jetskis could get up to against Autobots.

All of which, just goes dialup connection and Seacrest.exe has stopped responding at the fact that Megatron is enjoying his time cocked clocked off a little too much. Who did he find in the maintainence closets for that response? ... Was it Echo? It was probably Echo...

Maybe that look would have made Seacrest apologise and skitter back into the hallway were he looking at Megatron’s face. Nope. He is ... slightly optically distracted.

“..............Yes?” Sure, he has heard of knocking before but it was a pretty uncommon practise back home given how contact driven and touch starved these little fishy fraggers were. Something about schooling protocols in batches? Being alone made for sad soldiers.

Still .... He wasn’t all that alone right now, and worst case scenario is a ship wide restraining order which technically has an autograph on it.

“You want a hand with that?”

The intrusion was not something he’d been expecting, but then again, when had the former warlord been embarrassed about his body sexually? He was quite the specimen, and rather good in the berth. He had nothing to be ashamed of when it came to his skills (or looks).

A look of amusement moved across Megatron’s sharp, wartorn features. Most in Seacrest’s position would be sputtering and blundering, not knowing how to respond. Not just because he was Megatron, but simply because they’d barged in on a rather intimate scene. Instead, the younger mech was playful, and he could tell the way his optics lit up that he was not regretting having come inside his habsuit. That intrigued him, in the least.

Seacrest was--to put it bluntly--annoying. He was like a little sparkling, wagging his antennae and wingettes, about to dribble his processed energon down his legs. Even so, Megatron had been within the company of far worse.

Tilting his helm, he leant his cheek against his knuckles, laying back against the edge of his berth.

“I’ve got two hands, as you can see,” he replied, although a challenge in his voice as he spoke it. It had been a long time since he’d been with another someone, and why not take the opportunity considering Seacrest wasn’t walking backwards out of the room.

“Perhaps you’ve got another suggestion? Although, closing the door may be beneficial... Lest someone take you away from what you see before you.” He raised a brow, jutting his chin towards the still open door.

He was going to regret this... Megatron internally sighed, which didn’t end up being as internal as he thought when he heard his systems hiss and click as he let out an actual sigh.

Maybe it sounded more like a huff. Did he care? He shouldn’t. Seacrest would have jumped at joy simply by being in the same room as him, and he was, he could tell. It was like a sparkling was ready to burst out and scream inside that little head of his.

Megatron gestured his arm. “Well? Are you going to take me there or am I supposed to just find my way alone?” he said gruffly.

I noticed that, in the English dub, the ADA refers to Tanizaki by his first name rather often. It's actually pretty rare to hear his last name in the dub, and I wish I knew why.

It can’t be for the simplicity of referring between him and his sister, since everyone calls her Naomi in both versions.

It’s not a logistical (“mouth-flap”) choice either, I’ve noticed them saying it even when a character is facing away, and their mouth isn’t visible, so it’s not that.

I admit that I do like the choice, since Jun’ichirou is the same age as Atsushi—who also gets referred to by his first name by the rest of the ADA. It follows the trend of calling anyone 18 and under by their first names, too, since this also applies to Kenji and Kyouka.

It may be a small change, but it’s a consistent one, so it had to have been a conscious choice.
