So before anime my first love had always been cartoons, I only recently watched Hey Arnold! recently (I blame betaruga's art I've been sucked in ever since) and its been a hyperfixation for months now. I wanted to make a comic based on one of my fave fics of Shortaki.

I wanted to show my appreciation via this project, which has been fun and challenging so far (tell ya what my environment and angling of panels have never looked as good lmao). And I have fallen in love with pencil textures.

I've got so much bywheelclair brain rot on my mind so here's some of my favorite personal headcanons for the love sick trio

Lucas and Will started dating first and poor Mike was happy for them but he was also jealous that his two crushes started dating each other

It's okay bc how Lucas and Will start dating Mike is they do it without him noticing

Inviting him to hang out with them- taking him on dates, Will doodles all three of them, when they do go out either Lucas or Will will pay for Mike's food, and Lucas starts calling Will and Mike his 'favorite boys'

Mike finally realizes this all one day and is like ?? "Am I dating ya'll?" and Lucas and Will just look at him like?? are you just now figuring this out?

When they officially all start dating Max makes the remark "Poor Will, the only one in that relationship with a brain cell"

Mike and Will take turns wearing Lucas's varsity jacket- and they do fight over it

Lucas loves to spoil his boyfriends BUT Mike and Will always make sure to spoil him back

Mike and Lucas have whole collections of doodles Will has given them

They always sit together, like if it's just an armchair available they will find a way to fit all three of them in it

Sleepovers in Mike's basement every friday night, a just them hang out

Will is the middle spoon, fight me

They go the arcade and Mike and Lucas always see who can win Will the bigger prize, it's a competition for them

Speaking of competitions when Mike finds out that Will is her favorite boyfriend of Lucas's he's determined to win her over

And Lucas just laughs, saying that she likes Will more than she likes her own brother so good luck
