what im referring to generally speaking is specifically the word Soft getting miscommunicated as meaning soft spoken, nice, submissive, shy, cute, wholesome (morality flavor) whatever in contexts where it very much should only mean soft colors, pastels, wholesome only in terms of being not punk/edgy.

And then from there the people who are using soft to mean quiet/shy stick their word soft onto other things and imply that soft=feminine (see "softboy" ). It's generally a lot of not self aware either sexism or sometimes racism (example: hmm why are you calling an east asian character soft when there is also the stereotype of quiet passive and submissive asian characters)

Essentially if you notice something soft also implying that the person or character who is soft cannot get angry ever or is babied when angry thats like- not what soft is supposed to mean. I hope this makes sense?? The main thing is don't worry about it you're all good.
