gwen when she first finds out that lena didn’t succeed in murdering someone: pathetic. embarrassing. you can’t even kill a man with your bare hands? couldn’t be me.
gwen after finding out that she may have inadvertently caused the death of a few people:

I've just finished episode six of the magnus archives for the first time and i feel absolutely betrayed. I was so used to the formula, that the main character lived and was fine that i didn't even think about someone dying after they gave their statement. I feel the same way i did when i first saw Halloween and realised Michael was immortal and jamie lee curtis was never going to be safe, suddenly I'm worried about the protagonist of all the other stories so far. I thought (for an embarrassingly large part of this episode) that the woman was going to have been possessed by a snake and I've decided that parasitic worms are one of the worst monsters ever to be on this podcast because they actually exist. horrifying. excellent. love this show. people keep telling me it's going to get wild but doesn't seen to have happened yet idk we'll see

Episode Thirteen. Lucky for some ... ?
Nope. No, probably not, actually. This *is* The Magnus Protocol, after all.
Enjoy!

Okay so Im a bit behind on TMAGP so I started to catch up and I just listened to ep 10 with Mr. Bonzo and this is the first time I’ve ever been so viscerally freaked out by anything on this podcast so I was like let’s check tumblr and commiserate with strangers on the internet about how scary that was and instead I see that you FREAKS have made it a FUCKING MEME god I love you all so much

i find tmp very hard to listen to, because of all of the distortions. I tend to zone out when the robotic voices are reading statement and cant properly understand the muffled recorded conversations. I feel like its gotten better, but I dont really know what was going on in the first few episodes
im really enjoying alice tho

I like how many statements in the magnus protocol we've gotten so far where I feel no sympathy for the person giving the statement. Like I wish that did happen to more crypto bros tbh. Ur the one who decided to roll those dice dick fuck around and find out. Makes it much easier to take delight in their downfall. I'm having a great time.

Leitner borrowed from a friend who later seemed to have no memory of it: a book of dinosaur facts, affiliated with the End. Entranced its victim to the point of obsession.

I've just finished magnus archives episode 7 and i think you guys have been getting to me with the reblogs saying it's gonna get crazy because I'm sure something was wrong with this episode. Why was it from the 1920s? why was it so deeply tragic rather than scary like usual? Where do i recognise the name Joseph rayner from?
i know that name as soon as he said rayner i knew i should recognise it but I just can't remember who he is. I'm actually going insane you guys

Less a theory with evidence and more my personal pet way of sorting fears BUT
What if fears were sorted slightly differently in this world? What if instead of being sorted by the what part of the contents of the encounter were scary, they were sorted by what might cause someone to be scared by them?
“Hey Jack, what do you mean by that?”
I mean that in this scenario, Mr Bonzo would be filed under childhood. People that have skewed relationships with their own childhood tend to get more attached to spookies that have a similar theme. Think dolls and five nights at freddy’s and spooky nursery rhymes.
A lot of the statements occurring in The Magnus Protocol seem to stem from insecurities of some kind of another, whether those insecurities be financial, social, medical, etc which I think fits nicely with this more personal sorting system. Less about the spooky itself and more about who might be affected by it
Idk if any of this makes sense. I’m just sorta spewing words at this point. I would love to hear your thoughts on this
