Now is the time for confessions.... I did not like the 2002 Red Dragon movie and actually consider it a bad adaptation (and a mid movie)....
So sorry to Edward Norton's Will Graham, he was cute, but he was not my Will Graham 😞

Well, things have really dropped off - after watching 33 movies in January, I only saw 3 in February. I guess there goes the goal of '365 in 365 days,' at least for this year.
This movie was disappointingly 'meh,' pretty much along the same veins as it's predecessor and well below the level of fun/excitement/energy that the first Kingsman movie gave us. And I can't really tell why.
I mean, Ralph Fiennes was great. But like, I don't know if it was the ridiculousness of the story arc with his son, or how the trailer was entirely about Rasputin the villain and that arc ended so ... abruptly and quickly, well before the end of the movie, or ... I don't even know. It just all felt kinda 'meh,' right from the start, and never really left that territory. And the way the story arc with the kid ended - the how and the when, considering what we had just witnessed - was also just a bit over-the-top? Unnecessary? Too much? I'm not even sure.
I still have hope for the franchise, of course. The 3rd one, hopefully, will bring us the return of the rest of that class he trained with (whom they stupidly "killed off" immediately into the 2nd one). And I guess this sorta works as an prequel/"why does this exist" type story, minus the 'oomph' that the first one gave us.
Or maybe, and I hate saying this, this should've just ended with the first one? Because they've really struggled to find that same level of fun two time and counting now.

Transiting Venus enters Scorpio
November 7 - December 1, 2017
During my secluded rural youth, we knew of only one color of topazt:
Tumblr media
Now that Mars and Mercury have entered their detriment signs (Libra and Sagittarius, respectively), it’s Venus’ turn! Astrologer Isabel Hickey wrote, “Venus in Scorpio or in Aries is not happily placed for the animal self (Mars) overpowers Venus.” Later on (in her book Astrology: A Cosmic Science) she elaborated, “Venus cannot function well in a domain ruled by Mars, for Mars is everything that is aggressive, forceful, and outgoing, while Venus draws to herself through the power of love. She represents the attraction principle while Mars represents the repulsion principle.”
In other (and less potentially insulting) words, Venus’ main “job” of attraction malfunctions in the Mars signs, in which actively going after what we want is the task. Similarly, Mars (how we assert ourselves based on getting what we want) isn’t comfortable in Venus signs, where it must lie back on a divan and allow things to happen.
We also need to keep in mind that Venus is still in her “Lucifer-direct” phase - i.e., she’s placed earlier in the Zodiac than the Sun. That position makes her desirous of covering up her true feelings, in order to fit in better - and right away we see how that could go awry in resentful, vengeful Scorpio. Our ability to “shrug off” disappointment is still there, just more difficult to perform.
Venus in Lucifer-direct mode is also highly idealistic. People with this natal placement (raises hand) “are often involved in promoting new values, ideals, outlooks and ways of life created or exemplified by others.” (Michael R. Meyers, link here.) Look at my beloved Keith Richards, who basically infused himself with Chuck Berry guitar riffs! Unfortunately, this idealism when filtered through Scorpio will give us an “all or nothing” attitude - which is an impractical way to navigate through life.
How will this affect the typical Venusian domains of money, beauty and artistic expression, relaxation, and romance? The transit lasts only 25 days, which doesn’t seem like enough time for a lot of damage. The danger would be more in having a kind of “scorched earth” tantrum - in the heat of the moment, destroying everything.
Money: Scorpio isn’t the kind of sign that spends lavishly. I don’t think we’ll be in any hurry to start the holiday gift shopping, much less go overboard with it.
Beauty: This transit is actually perfect timing for a makeover!
Arts: Also will benefit, from the deepened and intensified emotions. We don’t want lightweight, flimsy music (for example), we want full blast. (My own favorite way to purge myself is loud music.)
Relaxation: This is difficult when the Scorpionic refusal to let go blends with the Venus tendency to hang on. It’s almost as if we don’t trust ourselves or the world enough to ever relax. (Is this Alastor Moody’s natal Venus, I wonder?)
Relationships: Perhaps some pressure to commit before we really want to, or to “prove it.” Grrr. This isn’t a very manipulative sign, but it can go to extremes. On the other hand, if everyone is ready for the next step….
Celebrities with Venus in Scorpio: KEITH RICHARDS, Leonardo Di Caprio, Jodie Foster, Mahatma Gandhi, Bill Gates, Vladimir Putin, Jay-Z, Jim Morrison, Bruce Lee, Drake, Hugh Jackman, Snoop Dogg, Steven Spielberg, Marie Curie, Denzel Washington, Marie Antoinette, Ava Gardner, Gordon Ramsay, Serena Williams, Ralph Fiennes, Sigourney Weaver, Agatha Christie, Paul Klee, Martin Scorsese, Voltaire, Patti Smith, Neil Young
Wednesday, November 8, Pallas Rx/Taurus opposite Venus/Scorpio, 2:06
This is especially directed toward our artistic self-expression, if we have any. If we don’t feel we have the “right” mentors, this could bring about the “scorched earth tantrum” I warned about. On the other hand, if we’re pursuing an artistic path that isn’t right for us - it happens - this opposition may give us the nudge we need to change course. With so many of these Venus/Scorpio transiting aspects, the Moon involves herself (butts in?); the potential impasse may arrive on the 9th, when Moon/Leo turns this into a very temporary fixed t-square.
Planets/Points affected lie between 1:06 and 3:06 of the fixed signs Taurus*, Leo*, Scorpio*, and Aquarius*; and between 16:06 and 18:06 of the mutable signs Gemini*, Virgo*, Sagittarius*, and Pisces*.
Monday, November 13, Jupiter/Scorpio conjunct Venus/Scorpio, 7:20
Well, gosh, this is just about the Holy Grail, isn’t it?! The one aspect we all crave! If it’s affecting you, do enjoy the good vibes; if it’s goading you, well, control yourself - the vibes will fade all too soon. The day before this conjunction matures finds a supportive Virgo Moon sextiling both planets - a memorably good time with friends, perhaps.
Planets/Points affected lie between 6:20 and 8:20 of the signs Taurus*, Cancer, Leo*, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, Aquarius*, and Pisces.
Thursday, November 16, Neptune Rx/Pisces trine Venus/Scorpio, 11:28
I really prefer this trine to that conjunction - even with the addition of unrealistic and lazy attitudes. “Issie” wrote about this natal aspect, “Neptune does not operate directly on the physical plane, so this aspect is not much help materially. A spiritual blessing not always recognized by individual to whom material things are important.” All of our Venusian efforts - art, beauty, relationships - are elevated and sanctified by Neptune. This will be especially evident around 06:00-08:00 UTC, when the Moon in Scorpio joins in.
Planets/Points affected lie between 10:28 and 12:28 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Sunday, November 19, Ceres/Leo square Venus/Scorpio, 15:48
The weight of family obligations is heavy. In the US, we celebrate Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, and it’s one of the more notorious holidays for enforced familial bonding. I have to ask - if you don’t enjoy it, why are you still doing it? We don’t have any obligation to make ourselves miserable! Considering that this square also carries implications of low self-esteem, we may want to spend time with congenial friends. In the immortal words of Lucy Van Pelt, “Just because you’re related to someone doesn’t mean you have to like them” - or even have them in your life at all.
Planets/Points affected lie between 14:48 and 16:48 of the fixed signs Taurus*, Leo*, Scorpio*, and Aquarius*; and between 0:00 and 1:48 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*.
Tuesday, November 21, Pluto/Capricorn sextile Venus/Scorpio, 17:33
Pluto rules Scorpio, and this sextile/nudge it makes to Venus can take on a cold and calculating quality. Conversely, we might just have a lesson about what love really is. Issie describes these planets’ interactions as “the choice between self-indulgence and self-mastery.” The sextile gives the opportunity to “purge the individual of possessiveness and selfishness.” The Moon is in Capricorn and brings the lesson home, particularly strongly on Wednesday.
Planets/Points affected lie between 16:33 and 18:33 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Wednesday, November 22, North Node/Leo square Venus/Scorpio, 18:59; South Node/Aquarius square Venus/Scorpio, 18:59
In his book Yesterday’s Sky, Steven Forrest describes “the possible projection” of a Venus-Nodes conflict as, “a judgmental ‘sour grapes’ bitterness or a blindly one-dimensional kind of worshipfulness and longing.” That sounds particularly like an awry Venus/Scorpio to me. His advice to people is to “actually make grown-up love work.” On the heels of that Venus-Pluto sextile, we know how to pull this off.
Planets/Points affected lie between 17:59 and 19:59 of the fixed signs Taurus*, Leo*, Scorpio*, and Aquarius*; and between 2:59 and 4:59 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*.
Friday, November 24, Juno/Capricorn sextile Venus/Scorpio, 21:41
Not a bad time at all to tie the knot. The urge is to be half of an officially sanctioned relationship, ‘til death do we part. If you’re in an established relationship, enjoy! If you’ve just started out together, think about the long-term - what will you and your partner have to do, to have this kind of partnership for yourselves? And if you’re all alone in the world (raises hand), go for the Juno as “protector of the powerless” and Venus/Scorpio as secret generosity: go out and find a “kids’ Christmas wish list” and play Secret Santa. (My grocery store always has a Christmas tree with gift tags - now that my own children are adults, who don’t have kids, this is how I can still experience some of that “childhood holiday delight.”)
Planets/Points affected lie between 20:41 and 22:41 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Sunday, November 26, Chiron Rx/Pisces trine Venus/Scorpio, 24:21
We may be more likely to “feel” this one late Monday, when the Moon/Pisces conjuncts Chiron and trines Venus. It has a strongly redemptive flavor. Remember that Chiron is the “wounded healer” - it deals with its own wounds by helping people in similar circumstances - and that Chiron is in Pisces, where Venus is exalted. There’s also some “doing it my way” energy, some resistance to being forced into societal constraints - the trine makes that easy.
Planets/Points affected lie between 23:21 and 25:21 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.

I hope you're having a beautiful day, you lovely human!☀️ could you post that list here?:)
Thank you, I hope you’re having a beautiful day too @mmmondegreen asked for this too so here we go - my list of Bi Rep in Stories I Love, complete with my weird rambling notes
Couple of other notes - by coded bi i mean characters shown to have non-platonic relationships of some kind with people of different genders; by explicitly bi, i mean stories that use the word “bisexual” to describe the character; by word of god, i mean creators have confirmed outside the scope of the show that the character is bi. Also, this is [very loosely] ranked by the explicitness of the rep/my personal attachment to the story.
Books
The Passion - Jeanette Winterson [one of the mains has significant relationships with men and women that are explored in-depth]
Cloud Nine - Carolyn Churchill [okay this one is kind of bizarre no lie but there’s like tons of interesting gender/sexuality stuff; also it’s actually a play but i would still highly recommend]
Fire - Kristin Cashore [second book of a trilogy; protagonist is coded bi]
Mrs. Dalloway - Virginia Woolf [protagonist is coded bi; explicitly kisses a girl in her youth and is said to love her current husband]
The Goldfinch - Donna Tartt [protagonist is coded bi; hooks up with his best friend at some point]
The Secret History - Donna Tartt [i guess by that definition secret history also qualifies? protagonist kisses a dude at some point]
TV shows
In the flesh [Kieren Walker the lead confirmed bi/pan through word of god; his sister is also confirmed bi through word of god]
Orphan Black [Cosima one of the mains confirmed bi through word of god; Sarah Manning the lead and Delphine, cosima’s love interest, are coded bi]
The Get Down [Dizzee and Regina confirmed bi through word of god]
Legend of korra [korra and asami confirmed bi through word of god]
Shadowhunters [Magnus Bane]
Grey’s Anatomy [Callie Torres is explicitly bi, but i haven’t watched this show extensively so idk if it’s rec-worthy]
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend [haven’t watched this one either but there’s an explicitly bi character and i’ve heard good things about it]
Movies
Rent [I never finished it but that’s because i was drunk not because I didn’t want to lol anyway idina menzel’s character is bi i’m p sure]
The Hours [this is kind of ambiguous i think but all three of the leads have some sort of romantic relationship with someone of the same gender]
Grand Budapest Hotel [Ralph Fiennes’ character is mentioned to have relationships with men and women]
Webseries
Coupleish [lead explicitly bi and also nb; i think maybe a couple of the other characters are also bi? regardless definitely worth watching if you’re into that sweet fake dating content]
Twelfth Grade or Whatever [modern adaptation of twelfth night. pretty much everyone is bi. There’s literally a line near the end about this explicitly confirming it]
All For One [genderbent modern adaptation of three musketeers; lead is explicitly bi]
The Roedell Project [out of the main cast, i don’t think anyone is straight, and there’s a pan character and a bi character, both explicitly confirmed]
The Grey Tarmac Road [modern adaptation of wizard of oz. p everyone is queer if i remember correctly and i know at least a couple are explicitly bi. Note that the production value of this one is a bit rougher than the others but i still highly recommend it because it’s v charming]
Middlemarch [so I’m currently watching this one and i don’t think there’s been any explicit confirmation yet but there’s really good lgbt rep overall so far and i’m 90% certain the lead is going to be confirmed bi at some point]
Webcomics [i would highly highly recommend all of the following btw; they’re some of my favorite stories hands down]
Les Normaux [tons of good LGBT rep everywhere!!]
Sharp Zero [same]
Rock and Riot [same]
TJ & Amal [one of the mains is bi; i don’t remember if it ever says in the comic but def word of god]
Heartstopper [lead’s love interest is bi, as confirmed outside comic]

Batman is back–but not in the way you would think so!
The Caped Crusader has taken on Lego form to bring us yet another action packed and humorous adventure as he takes on the criminals of Gotham City. In Lego Batman, the Dark Knight has yet again saved the day, defeated most of rogues’ gallery, and managed to break The Joker’s heart. “Hell has no fury like a ‘Clown Prince of Crime’ scorned” as the maniacal villain plots Batman’s demise after seeing Superman’s Phantom Zone Projector in action. Meanwhile, a new commissioner, Barbara Gordon, assumes her father’s mantle and wants to work with Batman to eradicate crime from the city. When the Joker invades the city with a horde of new villains at his command, it will take more than Batman to save the day, but can he face his deepest fear in time to save the day?
Normally we look at humorous Batman movies and cartoons with contempt, but this one was actually worthwhile. Where else do we get to see The World’s Greatest Detective take on villains like the Krakken, The Wicked Witch of The West, Sauron, and flying monkeys. It defies logic, but Batman will always find a way. More importantly we loved the inclusion of other members of The Bat Family–Robin (Dick Grayson), Alfred Pennyworth, and Batgirl (Barbara Gordon)–albeit with convoluted background stories in this tale (LOL)–who are highly important to the characters’ mythos no matter what story or genre he is in.

Ralph Fiennes, Mariah Carey, Billy Dee Williams, Will Arnett, Conan O’Brien, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, Zach Galifianakis, Channing Tatum, Riki Lindhome, Jonah Hill, Zoë Kravitz, Adam Devine, and Jenny Slate in The LEGO Batman Movie (2017)
You will laugh so hard your sides burst, but like me will find yourself wanting a Lego Batman of your own! Be sure you catch this hilarious and heartwarming. You might just walk away a lot happier and a lot more appreciative of the family you have. Lego Batman is in theaters everywhere today!

Transiting Vesta enters Virgo
July 17 - September 18, 2017
Virgo is a congenial place for Vesta, due to her connection with personal integration, focus, work (in the sense of “path of service”), and devotional activities. Not a single slacker on that Celebrity list, is there!
Vesta in the birth chart shows (first of all) our capacity for personal integration, the “inner union with (the) self.” Transiting Vesta, therefore, is going to give us opportunities to expand on this. Transiting Vesta in Virgo? The sign’s motto is, per Bloch and George, “my need to analyse, discriminate, and function efficiently” - (Ms M wants to get “sustainability” on that list, too.) Getting our individual acts together not only makes us more effective beings - it makes us worthy partners for the Vesta/Libra autumn headed our way.
Vesta also shows how (if) we commit ourselves to some ideal. Perhaps her jaunt through Leo was “talking it;” the subsequent Virgo passage shows the “walking it” phase. Specifically, we had that awesome idea/inspiration when Vesta was conjunct the North Node in Leo; it’s now time to push up our sleeves and work for it.
Most of the aspects Vesta will make are of the “flowing” variety, so let’s use those in a positive way and purify ourselves.
Celebrities with Vesta in Virgo: MOZART, Katy Perry, Jodie Foster, Bill Gates, Justin Timberlake, Natalie Portman, Aishwarya Rai, Prince Harry, Jake Gyllenhaal, Alicia Keys, Michael Jordan, Salma Hayek, Chris Evans, Tom Hiddleston, Louis Tomlinson, Warren Buffett, Nicolaus Copernicus, Ava Gardner, Liam Neeson, Robert Plant, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ralph Fiennes, Agatha Christie, Kevin Spacey
Friday, July 28, Juno Rx/Capricorn trine Vesta/Virgo, 5:10
In Asteroid Goddesses, Demetra George describes the overall feel of these Ladies’ interactions: “This combination suggests an evolutionary path that begins with the autonomy of the self and ends with a joining together of others.” It’s easy (and practical) to find a balance between autonomy (Vesta) and partnership (Juno).
Planets/Points affected lie between 4:10 and 6:10 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Wednesday, August 2, Mercury/Virgo conjunct Vesta/Virgo, 7:05
First of three, with the second one taking place next week (just before Mercury goes retrograde) and the third/final one not until October 4 (and in Libra, to boot). Although this is a classic aspect for beginning some kind of study, the timing is off - we lack crucial information. The Moon in Sagittarius will square this conjunction before it matures, making us very eager to get the studying underway. Nevertheless, what we should do now is “hold that thought” and wait for better stars.
Planets/Points affected lie between 6:05 and 8:05 of the signs Taurus, Gemini*, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius*, Capricorn, and Pisces*; and between 21)05 and 23:05 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*.
Wednesday, August 9, Venus/Cancer sextile Vesta/Virgo, 10:37; Thursday, August 10, Pallas/Taurus trine Vesta/Virgo, 11:07; Friday, August 11, Mercury/Virgo conjunct Vesta/Virgo, 11:33
Here’s that second Mercury/Vesta conjunction, with the addition of supportive Venus/Cancer and Pallas/Taurus. (And, on Wednesday the 9th, a triggering Moon/Pisces.) The fact that two of the participants, Mercury and Pallas, are both in their retrograde zones, emphasizes that the timing isn’t right, yet. Venus in Cancer values security and can help to put the brakes on developing your idea too soon.
Planets/Points affected lie between 9:37 and 12:33 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Tuesday, August 15, Neptune Rx/Pisces opposite Vesta/Virgo, 13:24; Uranus Rx/28:27 Aries sesqui-quad Vesta/13:27 Virgo
This is a Very Big Deal, as it triggers the Uranus-Neptune waxing semi-square just underway (with a duration of two years). The conjunction between the two planets, back in 1992/3, ushered in the technological revolution as well as the dominating “oligarchy” of the 0.1% that dictates how the world must turn. Although the first exact semi-square is on August 11, this is the first opportunity for us to “feel” the shift. “Think globally, act locally” is a good motto for Vesta, here. On August 16, the Moon in Gemini may see this impressing itself on our consciousness.
Planets/Points affected lie between 12:24 and 14:24 of the signs Taurus, Gemini*, Cancer, Virgo*, Scorpio, Sagittarius*, Capricorn, and Pisces*; and between 27:24 and 29:24 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*.
Wednesday, August 23, Pluto Rx/Capricorn trine Vesta/Virgo, 17:09
Demetra again: “This combination can signify a sense of destiny and personal commitment to the transformation of society.” It speaks more of working within the system to transform it, although since Virgo is mutable working around the system is also a possibility. The day before this aspect peaks, the Moon joins Vesta in Virgo, giving us a sense of how and where the trine plays out.
Planets/Points affected lie between 16:09 and 18:09 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Thursday, August 31, Ceres/Cancer sextile Vesta/Virgo, 21:11; Saturn/Sagittarius square Vesta/Virgo, 21:12
Mixed messages. Ceres is supportive of Vesta here, nudging her towards a safe base of operations. Saturn, though, increases both the workload and the self-doubt. Rome wasn’t built in a day, the saying goes; neither Vesta nor Saturn has any difficulty thinking in the long-term. The Moon will trigger the Saturn-downer side on August 30, and the Ceres side on September 1.
Planets/Points affected lie between 20:11 and 22:12 of the signs Taurus, Gemini*, Cancer, Virgo*, Scorpio, Sagittarius*, Capricorn, and Pisces*; and between 5:12 and 7:12 of the fixed signs Taurus*, Leo*, Scorpio*, and Aquarius*.
Monday, September 11, Chiron Rx/Pisces opposite Vesta/Virgo, 26:53
This could bring into our lives a teacher/healer - if not a specific person, then some situation. We may have feelings of “what’s the use;” we may feel especially isolated as a consequence of the necessary choices we’ve made. We can work through this when we (begin to) stop seeing life as black/white, either/or, true/false, and start a deeper, more subtle understanding of existence.
Planets/Points affected lie between 25:53 and 27:53 of the signs Taurus, Gemini*, Cancer, Virgo*, Scorpio, Sagittarius*, Capricorn, and Pisces*; and between 10:53 and 12:53 of the fixed signs Taurus*, Leo*, Scorpio*, and Aquarius*.

Transiting Mean Node into the Leo/Aquarius polarity
Mean Node: April 28, 2017 - November 16, 2018 True Node: May 9, 2017 - November 6, 2018
As you see from the above dates, the Nodes change signs approximately every 18 months, moving backwards through the Zodiac. The first thing this should alert us to, is that for the next year and a half, the solar and lunar eclipses will fall in Leo and Aquarius. If we consider the plane of orbit of the Earth around the Sun like an LP record, and the plane of orbit of the Moon around the Earth like a 45, the Nodes represent those places in the Zodiac where the two records/planes intersect. And what that means is that, when the Earth, Moon, and Sun are aligned just right, we get eclipses.
Next, note your Leo and Aquarius placements, as well as those in Taurus and Scorpio. Those pieces in Leo are what you need to strive toward developing; the Aquarius ones can help you reach for Leo, but (at this point in time) aren’t going to grow or stretch or develop; the Taurus and Scorpio placements show where you’re liable to get in your own way.
Collectively, this shows (via the South Node) what problems and issues we’re particularly susceptible to, as well as the steps we need to take to reach for (let’s say) improved circumstances. (As Stevie Wonder put it, our “Higher Ground.”)
The flaws of an Aquarian South Node include (per Bloch and George) “excessive detachment” and “being too erratic and inconsistent.” Ms M has a specimen with this natal placement at her disposal, and has noticed a tendency for the specimen to want to blend in with the crowd. At least not to start with, many of these natives don’t want to stand out too much. There’s an iciness to them as well; Aquarius can be the most cold-blooded of signs, when push comes to shove.
The main issue as I see it is alienation. It’s almost impossible to feel any connection to/with other people in placements affected by Aquarius, but rather we get an overpowering sense of not belonging. Actual exile in one or another form is possible. Coming to terms with this gaping disconnect is part of the work of the South Node in Aquarius.
We have also the connection of Aquarius with Uranus and, hence, with computing and the Internet. We’re all wired! All the time! We walk around with the sum total of all accumulated human knowledge in our back pockets! How is this a bad thing? Well, the South Node shows what we’ve become too attached to, that’s how. My little iPhone 7 does so much of my work for me - it wakes me up; it reminds me of appointments and birthdays; it keeps me “virtually connected” to hundreds of people; it calculates sine, cosine, and tangent (i.e., the math I can’t easily do in my head). It offers evidence that I am, in actuality, participating in my world.
But: am I truly participating, or is my iPhone participating? What would happen if the power grid collapsed? Or if I dropped the phone in water?
Let’s look at Uranus, too - right now it’s in Aries. We can see how that Internet keeps us independent, and maybe reinforces our self-images as rebels. Letting my phone do all the work allows me to avoid having to actually deal with real humans when I don’t want to. Therefore my notion of “virtual connection” serves only to reinforce my core feelings of isolation.
In other words, the Node going through Aquarius is “just” going to emphasize one particular way you’re messing yourself up. What house(s) will it travel through? Note also the position of Aquarius’ ruler, Uranus (transiting between 24:34 Aries and 2:33 Taurus). Your natal Uranus will shed a little light on what’s going on, as well.
What we’re supposed to be doing is using that technology, as well as the innate Aquarius friendliness, to reach for the Leo North Node. We need to recognize, and revel in, our unique individualities; we need also (in Bloch and George’s words) to “serve a larger group or humanitarian purpose.” We must do both so that we can “develop warmth” and “relate in a more personal way.”
Leo means we need to consider our natal Sun’s position and potential, as well as keep track of what the transiting Sun gets up to. This is how we’re going to personalize the Leo North Node - how we’re going to individuate with it.
Celebrities with North Node/Leo, South Node/Aquarius: KEITH RICHARDS, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Tom Hiddleston, Barack Obama, Beyonce, Princess Diana, Mahatma Gandhi, Justin Timberlake, Natalie Portman, Jim Morrison, Mick Jagger, Robert De Niro, Jake Gyllenhaal, Dave Gahan, Alicia Keys, Roger Federer, George Harrison, Chris Evans, Janis Joplin, Paul Newman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ralph Fiennes, Malcolm X
Tuesday, June 13, 2017, Uranus/Aries trine North Node/Leo, sextile South Node/Aquarius, 27:32
This is a time for finding our inner “outlaw genius” - Uranus in Aries is tremendously supportive of individuality, you know. If we make the effort, we could find that group, that “congregation,” where we belong. Stay honest, and be committed most of all to your own integrity. At the same time, don’t succumb to your own contrary-ness.
Planets/Points affected lie between 25:32 and 28:32 of the yang signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius.
Wednesday, September 6, 2017, Jupiter/Libra sextile North Node/Leo, trine South Node/Aquarius, 23:03
Jupiter brings us success, privilege, and abundance; in Libra, that’s going to work through one-to-one partnerships, artistic endeavors (which Leo just loves), and social justice (Aquarius). The temptation will be to slack off, to feel that we’re “close enough” to winning. Luckily for us, the following aspect (maturing almost simultaneously) should keep us working hard.
Planets/Points affected lie between 22:03 and 24:03 of the yang signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius.
Tuesday, September 26, 2017, Saturn/Sagittarius trine North Node/Leo, sextile South Node/Aquarius, 22:00
Combined with the Jupiter influence above, we may end up emboldened enough to pursue far loftier dreams and goals. On the other hand, our limitations are mighty comfortable (see above, “close enough”), and we may feel additionally some quasi-, phony “moral” sense of keeping to our “place.” We need to carry on, keep fighting, and see our plans to completion.
Planets/Points affected lie between 21:00 and 23:00 of the yang signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius.
Sunday, December 31, 2017, Jupiter/Scorpio square North Node/Leo and South Node/Aquarius, 16:54
This will probably get a more extensive write-up in December - transiting Mars is nearby, also in Scorpio, and the combination of impulse (Mars) with excess (Jupiter), on New Year’s Eve, in Scorpio - yikes! This situation is about not only being a courageous fighter, but a victorious courageous fighter. For now, just write a big “CAUTION” sign in your planners.
Planets/Points affected lie between 15:54 and 17:54 of the fixed signs Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius; and between 0:54 and 2:54 of the cardinal signs Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn.
