MY DEAR GIRLIES
Please please please keep working out and do something that requires physical exercise because it really helps with your period cramps.
I have pcod and had a surgery last August so I couldn't workout for at least six months at all, and trust me when I say I had the worst, most irregular periods ever. I missed mine for two months in a row, and had the worst cramps with excessive bleeding.
Just a month ago, I started basic cardio at night. Just walking on the treadmill, thats all. No fancy routines or anything. I got my period on time. I have no cramps and I feel healthy, which is something I haven't felt in a long time.
So please please please take care of your health and stay healthy I love each and everyone of y'all <33

This is for op with PCOD
Losing weight with PCOS/PCOS is hard but not impossible. I would recommend getting a food journal and write down everything you eat for 2-4 days (no restrictions) then count how many calories you consume everyday and then you can start lowering your calorie intake every week but don't go for a crazy 700 calorie deficit, 100-200 calories cut each week is enough until you reach a good spot where it falls into the normal range and leaves you satisfied as well.
Also lowering calories DOES NOT mean eating less, you can start looking for healthier alternatives of what you normally eat, find foods that you can consume in bigger portions but have less calories. And don't be afraid of having something sweet every once in a while.
Last and most important thing is exercise, you can start your workout routine with yoga it helps with the bloating so much (you can find tutorials on YouTube btw) and don't dive into intense cardio right away please. Find an an exercise that you like the most then start from there and add more gradually. And lastly find something you can incorporate into your daily routine (ex: walking to work/school or just walk while hearing your favourite playlist it's really fun) .
I hope this helps you and sending love ♡.
I'm not gonna say anything other than you guys are amazing for all the help you're providing to me and my followers

Exhausted After Eating? 5 Diet Hacks to Beat the Afternoon Slump
Tumblr media
Do you often find yourself feeling sluggish and exhausted after a meal, especially during the afternoon? You're not alone. Many people experience what's commonly known as the "afternoon slump," where energy levels plummet after lunch, leaving you feeling tired and unmotivated for the rest of the day. But fear not, because there are simple diet hacks you can incorporate into your routine to beat the post-meal fatigue and stay energized throughout the day.
Mindful Eating: The way you eat can significantly impact your energy levels. Instead of rushing through your meals, take the time to savor each bite and chew your food thoroughly. This not only aids digestion but also allows your body to recognize when it's full, preventing the energy crash that often follows overeating. Nourish Me, one of the best dieticians in Gurgaon, emphasizes the importance of mindful eating for overall health and well-being.
Balanced Meals: Ensure that your meals are well-balanced with a mix of carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats. Carbohydrates provide a quick source of energy, while protein and fats help sustain energy levels for longer periods. Opt for complex carbohydrates like whole grains, lean proteins such as chicken or tofu, and healthy fats like avocados or nuts to keep you feeling full and satisfied without the dreaded energy crash.
Hydration: Dehydration can exacerbate feelings of fatigue, so make sure you're staying hydrated throughout the day. Aim to drink plenty of water, herbal teas, or infused water to replenish fluids lost during digestion. Nourish Me recommends keeping a water bottle handy and setting reminders to drink water regularly, especially if you're prone to forgetting.
Snack Smart: Instead of reaching for sugary snacks or caffeinated beverages when you're feeling tired, opt for nutrient-dense snacks that provide a steady source of energy. Fresh fruits, nuts, yogurt, or whole-grain crackers with hummus are excellent choices to keep you fueled between meals. Nourish Me suggests planning ahead and keeping healthy snacks readily available to avoid the temptation of unhealthy options.
Light Exercise: Incorporating light exercise into your routine can help combat fatigue and boost energy levels. Even a short walk or stretching session after meals can aid digestion and increase blood flow, leaving you feeling refreshed and revitalized. We recommend finding activities you enjoy and making them a regular part of your day to reap the benefits of physical activity.
In conclusion, feeling exhausted after eating doesn't have to be a daily struggle. By implementing these diet hacks and adopting a mindful approach to eating, you can beat the afternoon slump and maintain steady energy levels throughout the day. And if you're looking for personalized guidance on nutrition and wellness, consider consulting Nourish Me, a trusted dietician in Gurgaon, for expert advice on achieving your health goals, whether it's weight loss, weight gain, or managing conditions like PCOS and PCOD. With the right strategies in place, you can conquer fatigue and thrive with vitality and energy.

These therapies are tailored to individual needs under the guidance of experienced Ayurvedic practitioners at Adyant Ayurveda.
In addition to dietary and herbal interventions, lifestyle modifications form an integral part of Ayurvedic treatment for PCOD. Adyant Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of managing stress, getting adequate sleep, and incorporating regular exercise into one’s routine to promote overall well-being and hormonal balance. What are the treatment options for PCOD?
Tumblr media
The treatment options for Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD), also known as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), depend on the individual's symptoms, goals, and health status. Some common treatment approaches include:
1. Lifestyle Modifications:Making changes to diet and exercise routines can help manage PCOD symptoms. A balanced diet, regular physical activity, and maintaining a healthy weight can improve insulin sensitivity and hormone levels.
2. Hormonal Birth Control: Oral contraceptives (birth control pills) can regulate menstrual cycles, reduce androgen levels, and manage symptoms like acne and excess hair growth.
3. Anti-Androgen Medications: These medications help reduce excessive hair growth and acne by lowering androgen levels. Spironolactone is a common anti-androgen used for this purpose.
4. Metformin: Typically used to manage diabetes, metformin can improve insulin sensitivity and regulate menstrual cycles in women with PCOD. It may also help with weight management.
5. Fertility Treatments: For women trying to conceive, fertility medications like clomiphene citrate can help induce ovulation. More advanced treatments like in vitro fertilization (IVF) might be considered if other methods are unsuccessful.
6. Weight Management Programs: Losing excess weight can help improve PCOD symptoms, as it can help regulate hormone levels and improve insulin sensitivity.
7. Surgery: In some cases, surgical procedures like ovarian drilling may be recommended to stimulate ovulation by reducing the number of small cysts on the ovaries.
8. Complementary and Alternative Therapies: Some individuals find relief from PCOD symptoms through acupuncture, herbal supplements, and other alternative therapies. However, the efficacy of these methods varies and should be discussed with a healthcare provider.
9. Counseling and Support: Emotional well-being is important in PCOD management. Counseling can help individuals cope with the emotional and psychological aspects of the condition.
The best treatment plan will depend on factors such as the severity of symptoms, the individual's reproductive goals, and their overall health. It's important to work closely with a healthcare provider to determine the most appropriate treatment approach for your specific situation.

Proactive Health Management: The Essential Role of LFTs, KFTs, and PCOD Profiles
In the journey towards overall well-being, understanding our body's intricate mechanisms and addressing potential health concerns is pivotal. Regular health check-ups are not just a formality; they hold the key to early detection, proactive management, and ultimately, empowerment over our health. In this article, we delve into the importance of three crucial tests – Liver Function Tests (LFTs), Kidney Function Tests, and PCOD Profile Tests – as cornerstones of a health-conscious lifestyle.
Unlocking the Mystery of LFTs:
Liver Function Tests (LFTs) play a pivotal role in monitoring the health of one of our body's most vital organs. The liver, often referred to as the body's chemical factory, carries out numerous functions essential for digestion, metabolism, and detoxification. Liver Function Tests (LFTs) provide insights into the liver's functionality by measuring enzyme levels and other markers. Elevations in these markers might indicate conditions such as liver disease, hepatitis, or even alcohol-related issues. Early detection through LFTs empowers individuals to make informed lifestyle choices and seek timely medical intervention.
Importance of Kidney Tests:
Kidney Function Tests offer a glimpse into the efficiency of our body's filtration system. The kidneys play a critical role in maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance, regulating blood pressure, and eliminating waste products. Creatinine and blood urea nitrogen levels in kidney tests help evaluate how well the kidneys are functioning. Detecting abnormalities in these levels can be indicative of kidney disease or dysfunction. Being proactive about kidney health through regular tests empowers us to adopt dietary changes, manage blood pressure, and potentially prevent irreversible damage.
Cracking the PCOD Code:
PCOD Profile Tests are essential for women's health, particularly those struggling with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOD). PCOD is a hormonal disorder that affects menstruation, fertility, and can lead to metabolic imbalances. PCOD Profile Tests encompass hormone assessments and other markers that aid in diagnosing and managing PCOD. Early identification empowers women with PCOD to collaborate with healthcare providers, adopt lifestyle adjustments, follow PCOD diet chart and explore treatment options to improve overall quality of life and reproductive health.
Conclusion:
Knowledge is indeed power, and in the realm of health, it equips us to take charge of our well-being. Regular monitoring through these tests transforms passive healthcare into active health management. Rather than waiting for symptoms to manifest, individuals armed with test results can take preventative measures and make informed decisions about their diet, exercise routines, and medical consultations.
By embracing these tests as allies in our wellness journey, we turn the tide from mere reactionary healthcare to a proactive approach that ultimately leads to better quality of life and longevity. So, let us seize the power to empower our health – one test at a time.

Empowering Women's Health: Your Ultimate Guide to Managing PCOD Naturally
If you're a woman dealing with PCOD (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), you're not alone. This common hormonal disorder affects millions of women worldwide. The good news is that there are effective ways to manage PCOD naturally without relying solely on medication or searching for a specific medicine for PCOD. In this comprehensive guide, we will delve into the world of PCOD, explore its causes, symptoms, and lifestyle strategies, and present you with a range of natural remedies to reclaim control over your health.
Understanding PCOD: Unraveling the Mystery
PCOD is a complex condition, often caused by hormonal imbalances in the body. It affects the ovaries and can lead to irregular periods, cyst formation, and difficulties in conceiving. While genetics can play a role in its development, lifestyle and environmental factors also contribute significantly.
Recognizing the Signs: Identifying PCOD Symptoms
Identifying PCOD early on is crucial for effective management. Look out for these key symptoms that may indicate you have PCOD:
Tumblr media
Irregular Periods: If your menstrual cycle is irregular, with unpredictable gaps between periods, it could be a sign of PCOD.
Excess Androgen Levels: Elevated levels of male hormones (androgens) might lead to symptoms like acne, facial hair growth, and male-pattern baldness.
Weight Fluctuations: Sudden weight gain or difficulties in losing weight can be linked to PCOD.
Insulin Resistance: PCOD and insulin resistance are often connected, leading to higher blood sugar levels.
Emotional Changes: Mood swings, anxiety, and depression may be more prevalent in women with PCOD.
Root Causes of PCOD: Uncovering the Triggers
While the exact cause of PCOD remains unclear, several factors contribute to its development:
Insulin and Blood Sugar: Insulin resistance affects the way the body uses insulin, resulting in higher insulin levels, leading to PCOD.
Inflammation: Chronic inflammation can disrupt hormone levels and contribute to PCOD symptoms.
Hormonal Imbalances: Fluctuations in hormones like insulin, androgens, and luteinizing hormone (LH) play a significant role in PCOD.
Genetics: If someone in your family has PCOD, your chances of developing it may be higher.
Taking Charge: Natural Remedies to Manage PCOD
Managing PCOD naturally involves making positive lifestyle changes and incorporating herbal remedies. Here are some effective strategies to consider:
Balanced Diet for Hormonal Harmony
Adopting a balanced diet is crucial in managing PCOD. Focus on whole foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Introduction to PCOD
PCOD is a common condition that affects the hormonal balance in women. It is characterized by the formation of multiple cysts in the ovaries, leading to various symptoms such as irregular periods, fertility issues, excessive hair growth, and acne. Women with PCOD often experience challenges in managing their weight and may be at a higher risk of developing conditions like diabetes and heart disease. While PCOD cannot be cured, its symptoms can be effectively managed through various interventions, including lifestyle modifications and holistic practices like yoga.
Understanding the Role of Yoga
Yoga is an ancient practice that encompasses physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation techniques. It promotes the harmonious integration of the mind, body, and spirit. When it comes to PCOD, yoga can be highly beneficial in restoring hormonal balance, reducing stress levels, improving blood circulation, managing weight, and enhancing fertility. Regular practice of yoga can also support overall well-being and help women with PCOD lead a healthier and more fulfilling life.
Yoga Poses for PCOD
Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation): Surya Namaskar is a series of twelve yoga poses performed in a sequence. It helps improve blood circulation, tones the abdominal muscles, and stimulates the endocrine system, thereby promoting hormonal balance.
Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose): Bhujangasana stretches the abdominal muscles, massages the reproductive organs, and stimulates the ovaries. It is beneficial for regulating menstrual cycles and relieving menstrual pain.
Dhanurasana (Bow Pose): Dhanurasana helps stimulate the reproductive organs, improve digestion, and increase blood flow to the ovaries. It also strengthens the back muscles and relieves stress.
Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Bend): Paschimottanasana helps relieve stress and anxiety, stimulates the ovaries, and improves blood circulation in the pelvic region.
Viparita Karani (Legs Up the Wall Pose): Viparita Karani is a restorative pose that helps reduce stress, improve blood circulation, and regulate hormone secretion. It also has a calming effect on the mind.
Baddha Konasana (Butterfly Pose): Baddha Konasana helps stimulate the ovaries, improve flexibility in the hip region, and relieve menstrual discomfort.
Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose): Setu Bandhasana strengthens the pelvic muscles, stimulates the ovaries, and improves blood circulation. It also helps relieve stress and anxiety.
Anulom Vilom Pranayama (Alternate Nostril Breathing): Anulom Vilom Pranayama is a breathing technique that helps balance the hormonal system, reduce stress, and promote overall well-being.
Benefits of Yoga for PCOD
Hormonal Balance: Regular practice of yoga can help regulate hormone levels in the body, promoting hormonal balance and reducing the symptoms of PCOD.
Stress Reduction: Yoga is known for its calming effects on the mind and body. It helps reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, which are commonly associated with PCOD.
Improved Blood Circulation: Yoga poses and breathing exercises enhance blood circulation, ensuring a sufficient supply of oxygen and nutrients to the reproductive organs.
Weight Management: Yoga helps in maintaining a healthy weight by increasing metabolism, burning calories, and toning the muscles. It also supports better digestion and reduces food cravings.
Enhanced Fertility: Yoga poses that stimulate the reproductive organs and improve blood flow to the pelvic region can enhance fertility and increase the chances of conception for women with PCOD.
Yoga and Lifestyle Modifications for PCOD Management
In addition to practicing yoga, certain lifestyle modifications can significantly improve the management of PCOD. These include:
Healthy Diet: Consuming a balanced diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats can support hormonal balance and overall well-being.
Adequate Sleep: Getting enough sleep and maintaining a regular sleep schedule is crucial for hormonal regulation and overall health.
Stress Management: Engaging in stress-reducing activities such as yoga, meditation, deep breathing, or pursuing hobbies can help manage stress levels effectively.
Regular Exercise: Apart from yoga, incorporating other forms of physical activity like walking, swimming, or dancing into your routine can further aid in weight management and overall fitness.
Precautions and Considerations
While yoga can be highly beneficial for women with PCOD, it is important to practice with caution and seek guidance from a qualified yoga instructor. Women with PCOD should avoid strenuous poses that may strain the abdominal area. It is advisable to start with gentle yoga poses and gradually increase the intensity as per individual capacity. If any discomfort or pain is experienced during yoga practice, it is essential to consult a healthcare professional.
Conclusion
Incorporating yoga into your daily routine can have a profound impact on managing PCOD symptoms and improving overall well-being. Regular practice of yoga poses, breathing exercises, and mindfulness techniques can help restore hormonal balance, reduce stress, improve blood circulation, manage weight, and enhance fertility. Alongside yoga, adopting a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet, adequate sleep, and stress management techniques can further support PCOD management. Embrace the transformative power of yoga and embark on a journey towards better health and vitality.

Reducing belly fat involves a combination of healthy eating, regular exercise, and lifestyle changes. Here are some basic solutions to help reduce belly fat:
Eat a Balanced Diet: Focus on consuming a balanced diet that includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Avoid or limit sugary and processed foods, as well as foods high in saturated fats.
Control Portion Sizes: Be mindful of your portion sizes and avoid overeating. Use smaller plates, eat slowly, and listen to your body's hunger and fullness cues.
Increase Protein Intake: Including an adequate amount of protein in your diet can help boost metabolism and reduce cravings. Good sources of protein include lean meats, fish, eggs, dairy products, legumes, and plant-based proteins like tofu and tempeh.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Water helps keep you hydrated, aids digestion, and can help curb appetite.
Reduce Sugary Beverages: Limit or avoid sugary drinks like sodas, juices, energy drinks, and sweetened teas. These beverages are often high in calories and can contribute to belly fat.
Engage in Regular Exercise: Incorporate both cardiovascular exercises (such as brisk walking, jogging, cycling) and strength training exercises (like weightlifting or bodyweight exercises) into your routine. This helps burn calories, build muscle, and boost metabolism.
Include Abdominal Exercises: While spot reduction is not possible, incorporating exercises that target the abdominal muscles can help strengthen and tone the area. Examples include planks, crunches, bicycle crunches, and Russian twists.
