Cutscenes #41: Relentless

Another unfortunate day for Orso Knox as he remains mutated and captive at Sycorax.

Now here he laid on the cold, hard floor of his cell, lifting his larger head to see who had come to see him, but they were still in the elevator. Orso then lifted himself onto all fours, slinking back some as he prepped his body into a pouncing position. The green and silver doors of the lift opened up a few seconds later to reveal a tall blonde woman in a red dress and high heels followed by a tall dark-blonde man in a mint-green shirt and jeans, who currently was carrying a coffee and a lemon blueberry muffin.

Liv and Chris were people he was very well acquainted with by now, which is why as soon as they got within 15ft of his cell, he leaped at them with such amazing strength; sadly, like every attempt, he wound up hitting against the orange security doors and falling to the floor in pain. He did this almost every time either of them came by, but they were smart enough to know what he was doing and never opened his cell without fully sedating him first. The mutated man huffed as he slowly got back on his feet, glaring at his captors as Liv and Chris both smirked in response.

“Aren’t you getting tired of that old trick Orso?” Liv snidely remarked as she logged into her giant computer.

A random thing I’ve noticed while watching bh6ts is how they’re kinda inconsistent with how they draw Orso Knox’s hair

So I put together a little example on how I think it should look compared to how it looks sometimes

Here are the episode titles and synopsis for episodes 1- 10!

1. Back to Reality - Hiro's first day back to school gets awry when his newfound friends accidentally uncover his superhero identity. Meanwhile, someone else has other plans.

2. Friends In-Training - Determined to help their Big Hero 6 friends on a mission, Rishi and Aiko train themselves.

3. Baymax and Rishi - Rishi looks after Baymax while he and his friends prepare for a parade.

4. Dolphin Date/Professors Two:

Dolphin Date - Hiro and Karmi went on a date to the aquarium.

Professors Two - Professor Granville tells Aiko and Megan about how she worked with Professor Callaghan years back.

5. Bad Luck Alley - Regina's friends are worried when she decides to go to Good Luck Alley by herself.

6. Jack Return - When Fred goes on his first date with Olivia, he nearly exposes his superhero identity; The Mad Jacks return to their life of crime.

7. Nega-Globby Strikes Back - After an argument, Aiko and Nega-Globby find themselves trapped in the hounds of Muirahara Woods.

8. Call of the Woods/Tumble Fight: (Takes place after e10)

Call of the Woods - Hiro and Chief Cruz retell the story of how they got stranded in the woods when their vehicle breaks down.

Tumble Fight - When the base gets infiltrated by the Fujitas, Aiko must overcome a looming past.

9. Knox's Revelation - When Hiro visits Orso Knox, he discovers something; Regina tries to fix her friendship with Honey Lemon.

10. Super Sleuth Megan Cruz - When Megan agrees to help the team investigate tech-related burglaries, they discover a new trio of villainous sisters: The Fujitas.

Episode premiere dates: Time depends on when I will be available, and I will post a batch of new episodes (Except the season premiere) every saturday followed by a hiatus.

Writing Snippets--10/21/2022

Good news, we’ve broken 300 pages on the time-travelling Obake AU, we’re riding this energy until it peters out and honestly I’ll be kinda sad when the juice finally runs dry.

Anywho, post monster attack, finished “Big Problem” last night and have now gone into the aftermath:

“At least the tasers work,” Tadashi said, ruffling Hiro’s hair.

“No they don’t,” Hiro protested. “They didn’t even slow the thing down!”

“Hiro, you were calculating for a non-lethal zapping of a guy that would weigh maybe a third of that thing. The tasers work.”

“I mean they did stop the monster from eating Dr. Amara,” Gogo observed as she hauled Obake upright.

Hiro perked up at that. “Think she’d be willing to listen to my presentation now?”

Ah. Had to smother the wince as he recalled how that conversation before the monster attack went—started at Karmi going “Dr. Amara, Professor Granville!”

“Is everyone all right?” Professor Granville demanded, running over to them. “Is anyone hurt?”

“No one has suffered any severe injuries from the: monster attack,” Baymax announced.

“Good. Now what were you children THINKING you could have been KILLED!”

“So this is weird hearing this from someone besides Tadashi,” Hiro offered.

“So this is how it feels,” Tadashi mused.

“At least it’s down now,” Dr. Amara observed, peering at the unconscious monster. “Good work, Karmi—those are your nano-receptors, are they not?”

“I—yeah thanks but—team effort,” Karmi muttered, not looking up, ponytail tugged in front and being wrung nervously.

“It’s still impressive,” Dr. Amara said. “But now we’re left with the question of this monster.”

“Professor Knox: has suffered no permanent injury from the altercation,” Baymax offered.

That caused dead silence from everyone present, all of them staring at Baymax. “Uh, you want to run that one by us again, bud?” Tadashi asked.

“During my scan of the: monster, I found that the eyes matched the scans of: Professor Orso Knox.” Blink. “I have no medical explanation for his current condition.”

Continued dead silence.

“The monster was a person?” Hiro asked finally.

“Oh—ohh no I’m dead,” Wasabi said, brushing himself off. “I’m dead, I’m so dead that thing spit on me—”

“There is no indication that Professor Knox’s condition is contagious,” Baymax told him. “It is unlikely that you will suffer similar effects.”

“Unlikely, he says.”

There was a moment where Granville could quote the movie and I took it. XD

Since thanks to Obake’s actions Big Hero 6 didn’t form, it was basically a bunch of college students that took the monster down and that probably didn’t do much for Granville’s blood pressure.

Finally it's here! (repost as I've adjusted the clips a bit)

I present my first AMV, a.k.a. one that I've wanted to do for ages: a CoM arc AMV using Kaibutsu as the song of choice! Hope you enjoy (I have up on animating the whole thing myself bc I didn't have the time and energy), and I might make one version with English lyrics (this is in Japanese bc the song is in Japanese, plus I'm learning it)

Fun fact: I've put a sentence in the second half of the video (at 2:21), that's what Di's line of "Hang on a little longer... We're close" in the Japanese dub.

Been going through the series lately and like I said before, I like to pause to see what the animators put into the wording/backgrounds. ^_^ These news articles are either just from the 70s or are spread throughout a couple decades.

1. Mentions Baron von Steamer attacking Torii Gate Bridge.

2. Shows the Shimamoto statue at SFAI (I think mentioning the rivalry week statue grab) as well as SFIT hiring the youngest dean of students ever (possibly talking about Granville if the article’s not from the 70s, either that or she’s older than we thought o_o).

3. Mentions Krei’s dad winning the “Mayor for a Day” bid that we see Fred do in Season 3.

4. Wow. Truly shocking that cupcakes are just smaller cakes. XD

5&6. Looks like Orso Knox purchased the Noodle Burger Factory that we’ve seen the team visit a couple times when it was just starting out. Don’t know if he still owns it, but it’s just very interesting to see him mentioned in something not monster related; it might also have helped keep him wealthy beyond his trust fund. O_O

Writing Snippets--10/20/2022

Good news, everyone! After a week of fighting a blue screen of death I’m back on my big computer! Stupid Windows update....

Anywho--still working on that time-travelling Obake AU, since we’re only about six pages away my goal today is getting it up to 300 pages. Stay tuned, we’re getting close.

Tadashi started at his pocket buzzing. “Uh, hold on I have another call.” Tug out his cell phone, answer it. “Hey Fred, what’s up?”

“My dude I have excellent news,” Fred said, sounding totally jazzed. “So I told you about Professor Knox and how he’s a Shakespeare fan—we tried his office at SFU and then we heard that he hadn’t been to work in a while so we went to his house and—”

“FRED’S MONSTER IS REAL!” Wasabi shrieked into the phone.

Tadashi winced as he put the phone back to his ear. “Wait, what?”

“The monster is REAL we totes saw it I have an EYEwitness this time,” Fred said, sounding like he was practically vibrating apart in excitement. “I mean Wasabi’s not handling this well but I think it just startled him.”

“It’s a REAL monster it had spit,” Wasabi said, sounding like his whole worldview was falling apart.

“Also it said—hold on—it quoted The Tempest again it said—”

The landline squawked again—Tadashi winced, put the other receiver to his ear, holding the cell a little away from his mouth. “Yeah I’m still here.”

“Mr. Hamada, if you’re done,” Cruz said, sounding testy.

“Actually I’m not—my friend Fred just called, said the monster showed up at a Professor Orso Knox’s house.”

“My dude who are you talking to?” Fred asked.

“So I really think maybe the police should get over there? Because apparently Professor Knox is missing?”

“Oh dude yeah we should probably have called them the place looks trashed.”

“’Looks trashed’ he says THERE’S A BIG MONSTER-SHAPED HOLE IN THE SIDE OF THE HOUSE NOW,” Wasabi squawked.

More season 2 stuff sneaking in there...also I’m entertained by the fact that Tadashi’s handling two conversations via a cell phone and a landline. XD

Also I love how Tumblr doesn’t keep formatting so no underlining for me apparently. *throws brick at Tumblr*
