In 2022: My Chemical Romance performed their 58th show of the 2022-2023 Swarm tour in Inglewood, California, USA. At this show, "Fake Your Death" was performed live for the first time and only time ever, an unreleased song entitled "Sister to Sleep" was performed live for the first time since 2003, with new lyrics, and "SING" was performed live for the first time since 2012. Five tally marks were drawn on the drums. (🖤)

the death of tony and nat kind of also feels like the death of the mcu?

it’s all… officially over to me.

and yes i know there are more movies and shows coming out but it’s just not the same anymore. the thrill we used to feel will never be tied.

not even by another franchise, you know? there will never be another blip, another final battle, another endgame. there will never be another Avengers.

and that’s okay.

we got to live through it, now we get to remember it fondly. with tears and smiles. personally, i just can’t sit through more of these shows and movies that don’t give me half the joy as what i used to feel.

i mean, what’s the point of watching a franchise and constantly secretly wishing for steve rogers or tony stark or natasha romanoff to come on screen? i might as well let it die the same way they all did.

it’s a super sad feeling. i can’t even say it’s bittersweet because i can’t find the sweet part yet, but i guess i’ll get there soon.

rest in peace, mcu. i’ll remember you forever.

Caribbean Monk Seal (Neomonachus tropicalis)

Habitat- Caribbean Sea; Gulf of Mexico; West Atlantic ocean

Size (Weight/Length)- 250 kg; 2.3 m

Diet- Crustaceans; Fish; Squid

Cool Facts- Caribbean monk seals were an extremely social species of seal. Also called the sea wolf, these seals lived in colonies of up to 100 individuals and organized their group based on age. The pups would gather together in large groups, lazing in the sun, while their parents went out to hunt. Unfortunately, Caribbean monk seals were extremely chill and lacked any fear of humans. Early colonists saw the seals as an easy food source and thousands were killed for their meat and fat that was used as oil in lamps. The second blow came when the fish and squid the seals relied on were majorly overfished. The endangered Hawaiian and Mediterranean monk seals are threatened by the same threats the Caribbean monk seal faced, but luckily strict protections are limiting poaching attempts and vaccination against disease is aiding in the conservation efforts.

Rating- 13/10 (Last seen in 1952 but not declared extinct until half a century later.)
