5/30/2024 - Costume

Today's prompt was literally perfect for my other (yes, another) NorRayEmma-fanchild, Luucy, in her first major role as Odette in Swan Lake, with her starring in a very feathery, light costume, despite being slightly lilac coloured, appearing snow white under the spotlight. The role of the entchanted Swan Princess is one of Luucy's most beloved, also heavily because of the simple, yet beautiful costume she did wear as a child.

a meme I did over on bluesky! let's break it down.

1. fav oc: probably Estella! she was my fav as a teenager and I've started drawing her again more often in the last few years. she's not "me" or anything, just mommy's favorite.

2. first oc: Cappuccino! her design has been tweaked here and there over the years (lop ears changed to perky ones, fucking with her eye color, adding freckles, etc) but she's mostly the same :')

3. latest oc: Daphne is a redesign for Mynthe! I wanted to rename her too. she still has the same personality and hair and eyes. and she's still an anthro sparkledog but I was never happy with her design, so I just recolored her, in sparkledog tradition!

4. easiest to draw oc: PeachyPeachy or Estrella, but I already used Estrella :b

5. hardest to draw oc: Tobias. fuck. like, pretend you never even saw this. it doesn't even look like him at all. fuck me!

6. the artist: I don't know the last time I drew a self-portrait, probably 2015. so here's my fursona. unlike Estrella, Dusty is me lol

It's apparently @ocweek so I wanted to do a thing for the Weapons/Powers day! Umbra gained a variety of powers when the fey miasma turned him/her into a weirdo elf person. But his/her original powers - darkness magic known as Obscura - still remain and were even enhanced.

Free Day/ Fun Facts!!

We are finally done! Yay!

This was a fun challenge. Thought I admit, it did distract me from writing about my other projects...so woops-

Anyway, to close this off, I wanted to give you guys some random fun facts about Taurn. Because I think it would be neat.

Past Developments

His original story was about him going to an East Asian inspired country, meeting the locals, and stopping his dad from colonizing it. His arc was centered around controlling his anger to not hurt his loved ones. Also, his dad... wasn't even an emperor OR abusive. He was just... a dick ig.

Actually, in some iterations, his father was cowardly? For some reason??

"Taurn" used to be the name of the country he was from. His original name? Taur. Yep...just the same name without the N.

He used to have a peace loving younger sister who dies in the story to help him learn to control his rage.

Other Details

Since it's pride month, ig I should say that Taurn is bi! I dont actually currently ship him with any male main characters, other than Leon, but uhh... yeah!

Taurn is based on Hector (Fire Emblem 7), Diamant and Alfred(Fire Emblem 17), Isabeau (In Stars and Time),Akihiko, and Kazushi (Persona 3), as well as a few other characters, maybe.

He's a bit too easy to fluster when it comes to receiving affection. He gets really red in the face. It's because he's not really used to it.

He’s really warm. Both his hands and body are warm to the touch.

His pockets are usually filled with snacks for his friends.

Paladin/House Emblem is the head of the bull with the sun in the middle of their horns.

In the Persona AU version of him, he would be named Taiyou. His persona would be Samson,Heracles, and/or Atlas.

In DND/Pathfinder, he would be a Paladin/Champion.

Day 1 ~ Introduction

Another start to @khoc-week​ and we begin with introductions! This year I will be focusing on Y! She’s an Oc near and dear that I haven’t focused on since the very first KH Oc week, though she’s been mentioned in others. Y begins her story in Birth By Sleep, where she is a Keyblade wielder training alongside the Wayfinder trio. Due to Xehanort’s plan though everything falls apart. And while the other three suffer their fates, Y is turned into a Heartless. For the time  between BBS and her return to the story she hides out in Castle Oblivion, keeping watch over Ventus. She comes into play once again during Days, where she finds new friends and her journey can begin again. Her main focus is usually helping out the heroes, while also trying to find her lost friends. But it all gets much crazier when she realizes she is a human incarnation of Light, a key piece in Xehanort’s game.

Y has always been a challenging character for me, as I find her to be very much my opposite or at the very least incredibly different from me. She is a character who on her surface seems very happy and cheerful but harbors a lot of anger. I’m hoping to be able to explore more of that over this week.

Day 5 of OC Week '24! | Weapons / Powers

Yuna and her blood summons: > "Ruby Shark" Armor: a full-body armor that is activated by breaking the skin of her palms, causing her blood to seep out from her tattoos and encase her entire form. Enhances her offensive and defensive capabilities. > Sword: Named "Samebito." A legendary sword said to have been wielded by the ancient war deity and therefore can only be held by one who's consumed the Pulse Pulse Fruit. Yuna was able to find the sword during the timeskip, which instantly accepted her as its new master. Its form can be altered into a spear or a whip and be split into two for dual wielding. Inspired by the Miasma sword and the Blood Sword from the Fear and Hunger games and the Heroes' Relics from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. > Blood Hound: Named "Argo." Is Yuna's companion, guard, and therapy dog. His size is dependent on how much blood Yuna uses when summoning him. Unlike the other summons, he has a personality and can maintain his form longer due to being possessed by the spirit of Yuna's old dog that passed away years ago. He has an excellent nose to assist with tracking. > Murder of Crows: Can be used as spies by looking through their eyes (though Yuna herself has to be in a meditative state). They can also be used as messenger birds or distractions by pecking enemies. > Blood Ghouls: A particularly dangerous summon due to its aggression, causing them to be difficult to control and likely to attack indiscriminately. Inspired by Shin Godzilla's 5th form, Clickers from The Last of Us, and Crimson Heads and Regeneradores from the Resident Evil series. > Red Coral: Sprouts from blood puddles to be used as shields or traps. Its surface is sharp enough to cut anyone who touches it. > Isonade: Not a summon but a colossal, shark-like monster that Yuna can turn into; her first transformation was triggered when Yuna was feeling extreme despair and rage, causing her to wreck havoc in a wild frenzy. It is also able to reanimate corpses with its blood, turning them into blood ghouls. This form can cause extreme fatigue, enough to put Yuna into a comatose state afterwards. She eventually learns to control this form, although it will still cause her to sleep for days straight. > Flowers: Any blood that Yuna spills turn into amaryllis flowers when she is done battling or when the summons have served their purpose. They can also turn into Bleeding Hearts if she is feeling sorrowful.

Idk what day this is for exactly. Relationships I guess. I originally wanted to draw a pose to show off my dungeon meshi oc's outfit but then I got lazy with this. dfhdfghdfgh

I decided I'd draw an oc I'd previously only mentioned Once to like Four people for @ocweek. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Meet Aelfwen or Alfie for short (xe/xir/they/them). I haven't read the manga but I've been spoiled on a lot. Depending on how the ending of the anime goes (or if dungeon meshi gets cancelled then I'll finally pick up the manga) I might headcanon that they're from a different dungeon, but if the ideas in my head don't fully align with how things turn out then I'll either call xir situation an AU or just headcanon a whole AU where xe's with the adventuring party from the beginning.

I do ship them with Laios.

Did not have the time or energy to give my cringefail guys proper refs last week so just some sketchy headshots for now

Vulture (he/they)is a VILE operative, and he just really wants to prove himself. He is cautious and level headed to a fault, but he finds that more risky operatives seem to get more attention than him and he is mad about it. He’s especially not fond of Paperstar. He feels stuck just making sure that there is no trace of VILE, and tries to make himself known by being especially brutal when he is given the chance to actually go out and do something. He is a massive suck up and everyone knows it.

E (placeholder name, she/her) is Vulture’s identical twin sister. E and Vulture do not know of each other’s existence.

E has become an international criminal just to prove she can. There’s nothing in it for her beyond the adrenaline and notoriety she gets. She’s unrelated to any organization, and would very much deny joining any sort of group. She sees herself as a solo act and that is very much her downfall. She’s honestly just a huge nuisance to literally everyone, and she is more then happy with that.
