Its heartbreaking reading Roses diary.

Like even in the privacy of those pages she's trying to hold herself as an adult, and when she slips and acts like a scared kid she corrects herself with "You're the big sister".

She's writing over her drawings, she's putting sparrows needs before hers and attempting to put their wants too. Like she gets that piece of coal to write with, and scribbles out her thoughts but in it expresses that she wants to finish a story shes writing for Sparrow. She could have easily written more I'm sure theres more on her mind but shes saving it so her little sibling can get the end of their bedtime story. And because of Lucien she never gets to finish that story.

Rose is a little girl, playing parent to a sibling that can't speak, and no ones helping her.

She had a creepy man trying to prey on her, her 'shelter' barely even had a roof, and none of the adults in the town cared to do anything despite being there for at least a year. Like the people know her, thats shown with her interactions with Derek, but they don't care enough and the only people that did only cared to see them through the one winter they were in town for.

The way she's failed makes me so sad all the time

Grabbed a bagel and an iced capp after my eye appointment (intraocular pressure is ok! Recheck in 6 months) and found a bench to sit on to have breakfast

A sweet little brown bird hopped over and stared up at me and I was like "Hey there, little guy!" And then he hopped up on the bench beside me! Like 2 feet away!!

And I was like, oh my god, what a brave little bird! He must really want some of my breakfast

So I tore off a tiny crumb and tossed it past him onto the ground

He swooped down and snatched it, looked back at me for a moment, and flew away. How lovely to share breakfast with a little bird

Then I watched a bumblebee slowly making its way through the bushes nearby. All this right next to a busy city street.

What a lovely morning

Would an ancient survive ancient poison (and effects) like what's prescribed to Boreas ? Are there not drugs that could make him too sleepy to attack instead of paralyzed by pain ?

base dose most likely, yes! especially for an Ancient of his size and strength. i do feel like though that if he has some sort of immunity system, the dose would have to get stronger by time to combat him getting used to it n so at some point the stuff would become too much for an Ancient equivalent of him. the main thing why it hurts like a bitch even on the starting size is where exactly it is administered

usually the venom would be a localized thing, usually injected into a limb and that would make the thing go numb. not really all that painful. but Boreas gets it into his body through the tube which allows the venom to get into close contact with his puppet's main nervous system n also to circulate a bit through the body (especially the back) n that's when the ouchies come in. when the ouch eventually wears off it leaves quite sleepy which Is the actual thing the Houses r aiming for

#kiwi rambles #just me thinking #I’m trying to learn how to not kill plants #our garden this year is a roma tomato plant and a yellow crookneck squash plant #both are still alive and well!! #we also started putting out birdseed for the wild birds #and replaced the flowers in out hummingbird feeder so its more appealing to them #while i dont see a ton of hummingbirds the other birds absolutely love out backyard #i hope to get a nice birdbath for them at some point #and our chickens dont cause any trouble for the wild birds #we mostly see adorable sparrows as well as blue jays and mourning doves #I know there’s a crow couple living nearby buu i never see them in out backyard #in fact i have seen their baby in our front tho #it was fine thats just what they do with fledglings #i think they may have been nesting in one of the trees in out front yard #the cats love watching the little sparrows hop around the yard from the glass back door #dont worry they are indoor cats
