Hi hi, i wonder if red son's parents (DBK and PIF) are gonna stop thying to conquer the world and mayyyybe try to pass more time with red son as family? maybe something happening to red son that made them go for him to assure he is safe or maybe they realized that, after all the time it happened, isn't it better try to fix their relationship with their son? or no hope for that? Also, how is the relationship between MK, Mei, Nesha and Red son?

well..... eventually, but it will take time. they have plenty of reason to hold on to their stubbornness and not change, but it's thanks to MK and the gang that they see how much they are hurting Red Son and by extension themselves with refusing to just, learn to let go and start over.

by the S1 finale, Red Son has a very emotional moment when his father is rescued, which is the first step for DBK and PIF to realize just how far things have gone. by S3 they help the gang to gather allies and support to face LBD and Macaque, and once that's done, they've pretty much resigned to just taking care of their own mountain home and renounce attempts to undermine Wukong's truce.

they are still hardasses and not as emotionally vulnerable as the rest of the gang, but tbh Red Son wouldn't want them to be. He just wants his parents' affection and care, just as they are, and that much they can do. At the end of the day, they are a family who love each other deeply; canonically PIF was ready to fight Wukong to the death in revenge for taking Red Son from her, same for DBK! they wouldn't do that if Red Son was disposable to them.

As for the group!! Red Son is an incredibly chill and direct guy; centuries of cultivating the dharma does that to ya xD he has his moments of flared temper and impatience, and he definitely is a bit dramatic, but nothing like we see in the show. overall him, MK and Mei get along quite well, the two energetic gremlins making him climb up the walls but affectionately xD

Nezha is technically Red Son's brother by bond; Muzha is also Guanyin's disciple of an older generation (by JTTW timeline), who is Nezha's second brother. they've met and interacted plenty of times in the celestial realm, and whenever Nezha had duties in the mortal realm, he often found the time to visit Red Son. Nezha cares about him since he knows he has a tendency to overstretch himself, but overall Nezha is still a hellraiser of a deity; if he can get along with MK and Mei at all, it's because Nezha primed him for a lot of bullshit lmao

Nezha, Mei and MK get along like a house on fire. Nezha knows them by name before the whole Monkie Kid business cus they prayed and left offerings to him so often, begging him to grant them some rare items on loot boxes and gacha games. so getting to know the two in the flesh is an amusing experience! Mei particularly prayed to Nezha for safety on her races and motorcycle joyrides, and they talk wheels a lot.

Nezha and Red Son are still celestial agents, and they can wear the serious face when they have to, but MK and Mei get to see that these two are pretty down-to-earth guys for deities.

COURTING!

Saris tends to show he loves someone with little affectionate gestures. Making favorite foods as a surprise. Giving little gifts and trinkets he's likely spent hours or days thinking about. Sometimes uses flirts or affectionate words for trying to woo people. This went well with Arcann, but back when he was dating Cytharat he was awkward as hell and pretty Niar wanted to beat him with a stick for having to watch that. Overall, he just softens up heavily around people he loves and all the prickly edges just fade away.

Nesha... was a trainwreck at flirting at first. I mean, her first love was another Jedi and her second love was a Sith Lord. (Lana should be happy Luca taught her a thing or two, could have been WAAAY worse!) Nesha tends towards actions rather than words however. A soft touch, a chaste (or more than so) kiss. Closeness and tenderness tends to be her method of courting someone. HOWEVER being with Lana for five years searching for Saris while he was in carbonite definitely made her less awkward and a touch more forward, much to everyone's surprise!

...Sirul doesn't know how he got Theron. Theron doesn't know how he got Sirul. The one that started this mess (me) knows that Theron found Sirul oddly charming if not strangely innocent for a Sith, and Sirul thought Theron was pretty cool with an endearing awkwardness. Neither one is great at flirting and honestly? With them it works.

Sorrel's been pining after the same guy for years and only managed to actually get that relationship because he could finally feel again (Scourge. Its Scourge. NO ONE is surprised!). Sorrel's wooing method, however, is very particular because of that. He tends towards things that Scourge may have missed while incapable of feeling. Favorite foods, certain sounds, touches. He takes Scourge places where he can help him remember the little things, and if neither are up for it, its just a quiet night in, slowly getting used to and learning things.

ATTRACTIVENESS!

Saris KNOWS he's pretty and does try to use that sometimes. Problem is, while he's very pretty, his personality can leave things to be desired. Either coming off as prickly or vain depending on mood and person he's talking to. ...Given that 90% of his actions are made out of spite, this should surprise absolutely no one. :')

Nesha doesn't really think she's pretty or ugly, and definitely doesn't use looks in any way. Many do think she has a calm and elegant look to her, however, if not outright attractive. With that alone, better at accidentally using it than Saris who does on purpose.

(Uhhh... note for my Sith Pureblood headcanons here that lean into hints of racism possibly more than hints). Pureblood Sith in my writings tend to be more attracted to those that look more Sith-y than not qhen going purely on looks. Thus, Sirul is VERY attractive and desireable appearance-wise to others of his kind. Sirul himself, on the other hand, doesn't really think of himself as attractive or desirable given his fear of them due to his Light-alligned nature. He doesn't try to flaunt things at all, preferring to lay low. Talking to a certain SIS agent he met in a bar on Rishi who lightly flirted with him happened to be a sort of "leap of faith" moment.

Sorrel falls into the same category as Nesha, but others don't really seem to comment on his appearance much other than being Chiss. His wingwoman and wingman (Kira and Zalea), ABSOLUTELY will put forth their best efforts to sell him as such though, much to the poor Jedi's dismay.

I’ve been thinking about this nursery since June 2021, and I haven’t gathered photos for aesthetics, because even though I see a lot of stuff that I think to myself, “This would be perfect,” I try to only use photos from sites that allow you to use photos free, legally. It’s a pain, because it does cut down on options, but I hate the thought of taking folks photos against their wishes, even if its just for stupid aesthetics that 4 people might like. Lol

Nursery Notes:

Woodworking Rick gets into his carpentry thing for nursery stuff. Whenever he and Beth are looking for cribs, Beth is super focused on getting a quality product (and she’s not worried about price, because even if she can’t afford something, her parents would assist), but Rick is more reserved about that type of thing. The stuff that falls into his preferred budget is not good enough and the stuff that is good enough he thinks is too expensive and insists that he could make something as good himself for way less, then that becomes his thing. (Later, he’s gonna let his kiddos help him build them a treehouse, too).

So David interviews Michael on his podcast and I loved the whole thing but especially the end…

He quotes T S Elliott’s words ‘these fragments I have shored against my ruin’ and he talks about how life is hard and as you get older you realise the importance of finding things, fragments that bring you joy and hold them close to you.

I feel like Good Omens, this fandom and our ineffable husbands have been such a huge part of what has kept me afloat lately.

It’s an easy dopamine hit which then takes me to the next and then the next. It makes me appreciate that I can still feel happiness and that I want it! I want to experience all of life’s goodness! So I take myself to plays and invite friends along with me. I take myself to art galleries and then invite friends along. I go on bush walks and then invite friends too. Haha I drive down to Dural and eat delicious French crepes and bask under trees and enjoy just being in a new place in the sunshine. I listen to music and find pieces of them in songs that break my heart and fill my heart with joy. I particularly am surprised at how easy it has been to invite people into my life in this way and then to be invited into theirs now… so I went to a dinner party last week with Nesha and this week I’m going out to dinner with Anna. I’m just way more open than I used to be when I was married… losing that relationship has meant I’m way more open to good things and good things from the many good people who are around me.

When I lost my marriage and had a miscarriage within the same week… I thought life was pretty much over. I ended up in hospital for 3 days to give myself space to sort out my head. In October that will have been 2 years ago. I can’t believe it’s been almost a year and a half since he left. I thought afterward that I wanted to sort all of Tom’s stuff and set it aside… just wanted to have our house reflect the fact that it wasn’t our house anymore. My therapist said there was no rush. It’s still no rush and I’ve let Tom put big art pieces in the garage to give Jacob and him more living space in their ‘cottage’. It’s been a much healthier process of slowly changing photos on the walls to reflect the passage of time. I’ve still got our wedding photos up though. I’m not ready to take those down because that really was one of the happiest days of my life. Haha Regardless of how it turned out. It gave us a beautiful son who has the biggest heart and most funny, creative mind. His dance moves these days bring me so much joy. :D

But I’m slowly sorting and changing my living space to reflect where I’m at now and I like it. I like that I can look after myself. I like that I haven’t been destroyed by this. I like that I have beautiful friends around me, lovely plants on my balcony and windowsills, can arrange Jacob’s toys in ways around the house that are functional and beautiful so that he can build and draw and create with everything he needs at his fingertips.

I am starting to feel like my place is getting back on track too in terms of me feeling at peace. I’ve had a bit more time at home lately with and without Jacob since school holidays were a week ago and I’m starting to remember that I love to embroider and do crafty stuff. I love selling stuff too on FB marketplace and seeing things I no longer need go to a good home. :D

I just fucking love life. I think I’m feeling a whole damn lot of contentment even if things are not perfect because I’m learning to damn well just enjoy the fucking moment and give up on perfect. I used to think my perfectionism wasn’t good for me but was worth it… but now I think that way lies burn out and madness. I’m enjoying finding a new way forward. :)

Okay, I know that this is kind of out of nowhere, but I’ve gotten all emotional again tonight and like... you know how I get. 😂 I know I say this stuff all the time, but I thought I should post something. Like, my brain treats posting with more reverence than it does just... saying stuff. 😂

So... @neshatriumphs, like... thank you for being you. I’m kind of struggling with finding the right words to say here, but I just want to say that you’re incredible. Your art and writing are absolutely and unbelievably great in every possible way. Like, your attention to detail in everything you do is literally jaw-dropping. The amount of times I’ve looked at your art and audibly said “holy SHIT” is too many to count. 😂 AND WITH YOUR WRITING, like, oh my God. What the fuck, where do I even begin. Your ability to not only analyze and understand existing characters but also create your own is unmatched, like, anywhere. I was literally trying to fill out one of those “favorite character bingo” things for my Instagram story the other day and halfway through I had to pause and go “wait, hold on. Literally half of these are Nesha’s characters.” 😭

If you look at my new music lists and think wow this guy just listens to Flint & Detroit rap all day well you’re not entirely wrong. That scene is so deep and insular with like 30-40 capable & entertaining rappers who record songs together in the same room, a handful of consistently dope producers like Enrgy, Sav, Marc Boomin & Pablo, and a few in-house videographers & youtube channels. As far as 2020 rap goes it’s really all I want to hear right now. 

Coochie is a song-of-the-year front runner and the only thing threatening this title are the 20 other coochie songs that YN Jay has dropped since. I will happily accept Thittie Man as the official Coochie sequel and now it’s time to move on. 

The most radio-friendly selection on here is from Gunna who has a batting average so low I stopped checking for him but someone threw Dollaz On My Head up on the discord and I’m glad I clicked; sometimes a guest spot is so fresh it can level a 5/10 song up to an 8 and that’s what Sada does on On Sight; not sure if “Tellin’” is Grindin’ on 45 or Sucker MC’s 2020 and it’s the same with YSR Gramz’s “Tweakin” I shoulda placed those 2 songs back to back; Lil Yachty should take advantage of Flint’s cheap housing market and and stay in town for a while because he sounds at home with these dudes on Flintana and Dookie Shoe which could’ve but didn’t make the cut.

I was agreeing with them about how people take terms related to social justice issues and misuse them, and how in the process, the movement suffers. The thing which Nesha mentioned. Which was why I replied to them specifically.

How do you suggest I reply to her if not by reblogging her post?

How does me replying to her alone stop anyone else from replying to anyone else? Is anyone required to acknowledge what I said if they don't want to?

If this were a conversation in real life, I would have said directly to NeshaTriumphs "yeah, I hate it when people steal and twist terms." and that would be it.

But if you have a better idea on how to talk to someone on this site (something nobody has figured out so far), tell us. Otherwise, sorry, but the fact is, people can have side conversations without it being "derailing".

What is your favorite thing about Nesha?

Her sense of humor. Whether it’s her dragging the hell out of someone one IG or Tumblr. Or in her stories. Nesha is hilarious. I can’t even count the number of times I literally laughed out loud at something she wrote. I mean straight up CACKLED!! Getting side eyed and erything because I was cackling 🤣😂😅

Funniest thing that Nesha has ever said in your opinion?

The phrase that sticks out the most is “Discount Dick”. I have been using that ever since when it applies, hell sometimes when it doesn’t 🤣😂😅 I laughed so long during that conversation. That shit SENT ME!!! And it just got funnier.

Has Nesha impacted your life in any way?

Over the last several months, many people are unaware of the stress this pandemic has caused me, due to my profession. I’ve never had anxiety before in my life but working with these positive COVID19 patients on a daily basis has been stressful as hell. But reading Nesha’s stories or going through her Tumblr pages and laughing at her jokes or comments has really saved me more than she could ever know. 2020 has not been kind to me or my family but knowing I can go to any of Nesha’s Tumblr pages at any given second and laugh my ass off really does make a difference in my life and my mental health. And I appreciate her so much just for being a break in this hellish year.

What is your favorite Nesha quote?

Trying to find a quote was hard because there were so many but I decided on this one because it’s a prime example of exactly how funny she is. I wasn’t involved in this convo personally but Nesha and I have had many conversations similar to this that ended with me rolling around on the floor, sides and jaw hurting from laughing so hard. So I thought this one was perfect because I died reading this whole thread. It was funny as fuck from beginning to end. Per usual

What is your favorite thing about Nesha?

i love everything about nesha!! she is one of the wisest people i know, her words always make sense and are so true and genuine. she is so kind and knows when and how to say something so it doesn't sound mean or selfish. she's a perfect human being and she's gorgeous too, inside and out!!

Funniest thing that Nesha has ever said in your opinion?

i hope this doesn't sound mean but when nesha cant see a message she genuinely just tells you and its some of the most relatable replys i've ever read.

Has Nesha impacted your life in any way?

she has made me feel better about myself in a way. her nickname for me (lil' dynamite) always makes me cry when i see it in a reply of message and i just love the way it makes me feel.

Canvas, hair, and road for Saris

Bling for Nesha

I'm putting this under a read more since I ramble and this is gonna be a LOOOOOONG post!

Saris Canvas: Saris doesn't have any piercings or tattoos but does have several scars. One on his torso from being stabbed by Arcann (Whoopsies), and then from the Zildrog fight he has Lichtenberg figures (though they probs wouldn't be called that in SWTOR-verse) from the tips of his fingers all the way up to his shoulders. Just barely missed having lethal damage from that and still working on the story that explains it as I keep vaguely alluding to it all the time. :'D Additionally, damaged enough that he can't hide the darkside corruption anymore after that so has the black looking veins and paler skin. (I do not reflect this in game since game's (mostly) not canon after that point anyway. :')) The scars are only covered on account of what he wears being long-sleeved, not revealing on his torso, and the fact that he often wears gloves, but he doesn't actively hide them.

And uhhh, here! Pics of how he's supposed to be looking! (please ignore cape glitch. :'))

Hair: Hairstyle is the same as in-game but actually butt-length because SWTOR hates me and won't let me have long hair that would TOTALLY clip despite several other clipping issues including his cape! I mean. What? Jokes aside! He'll also sometimes wear it in a long braid of either Senri or Arcann's making from chilling sessions with his family. There's isn't really any particular reason for how he styles it or the length, however. Just that he's a sorta vain little thing that likes to look pretty. :') Road: His traveling outfit is actually probably just something like the simple robes I used for recording him in chapter one! Add a cloak over the top though. Traveler's cloaks are COZY! And just important to the look frankly!

Nesha Bling: Nesha has her Akul-tooth headdress (that I kinda wanna redesign slightly from in-game but we'll see!) and a simple wedding ring from her marriage to Lana for easily visible jewelry. There's also a charm bracelet that contains charms based on people she holds dear, but that sometimes falls hidden under her sleeves. She's not really much of the fancy jewelry type for the most part and just likes simple things with a lot of meaning! Charms include: A lightning bolt made of purple crystal- Saris A small shard of bone- Qyzen A silver and gold microchip- Theran A holographic sphere with flowers and equations- Holiday A small sphere painted to look like Balmorra from space- Zenith A lily-like flower- Nadia A golden sun- Felix A heart made of green and pale yellow crystal- Lana A raindrop made of a light blue crystal with a heart etched into its surface- Noctiluca A silver snowflake- Thespesia A bronze book with the Jedi Order's symbol- Yuon A golden light rising from a crescent of obsidian- Syo

Sorrel Day: Sorrel tends to like whites in his clothes and back in his days in the Republic tended to prefer things he could be hidden in. At the start of his training as a Jedi it was a hood that hid his eyes from sight, and the later years up until being imprisoned on Zakuul it was his trademark too-large looking white cloak. Splashes of color were given by reds which he simply liked the contrast of. Whites for the color of his admiral uniform back in the Chiss Ascendancy as a small reminder of home.

Post-imprisonment is when Sorrel ends up being more comfortable showing himself entirely, and just more comfortable and more himself in general. ...And honestly he looks handsome as frick in this outfit so I love it! :'D

Other than those details though, he doesn't really put much thought into what he wears, and probably just has a casual robe or two lying around for hang-out/non-official times. Night: Honestly for nighttime/sleep clothes I haven't put a TON of thought into what Sorrel would wear since it hasn't come up too much yet. :'D HOWEVER! I feel like he's either the light fabric nightgown type, or the softest, fuzziest goddamn PJs you can possibly find type!
