"The Mission" by Lunawrayth - Rated M, Canon-Divergent AU, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. It wasn't that Hinata never expected to work with Naruto, just never on a mission quite like this.

-I check this one for updates so often. at least once a week, but more like multiple times a week.

"thus a silenced memory" by @keroppri - Rated T, Modern AU, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. Eight years flown on by and Naruto makes his return to the city where he once fell in love, only for him to leave hollow and broken after she was persuaded to leave him. Plagued by her memory at every corner, a chance meeting changes fates, minds, and hearts. Thus he tries to silence the memories. Inspired and based on Jane Austen's Persuasion.

-ahhh loving the yearning angst of unrequited love (but it's actually requited) in this fic.

"Amaranthine" by @opttagoyeo - Rated T, Various AU, Series of unrelated one-shots. A few drabbles/ideas ranging from fluff, confusing, humor, and angst regarding the most iconic and popular canon couple of Konohagakure, Naruhina.

-just started reading this! Full of cuteness.

"After Office Hours" by Pandora_Imperatrix - Rated M, Canon-Divergent AU, Multi-chapter, Complete. Naruto is lonely after Sakura and Sasuke left the village to travel together, he keeps leaving the office later and later, things start to change after one night when his secretary Hinata and him share a couple of vending machine beers. In this AU Naruto becomes Hokage a lot earlier than in the manga and The Last never happened.

-It's been years since this was updated, and recently Pandora updated and just finished it!!!!!!

"Friends with benefits" by @pastillesch - Rated T, Modern AU, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. "I'm dumping you" --Naruto blinked once. Twice. "But we're not even together". It was more a stress relief than anything romantic, really. A hobby one would say. And now it was time to search for a new hobby. Or at least a new partner for this kind of hobby.

-Another one that I was super excited to see updated again!!!!

"Casual Touches" by Lunawrayth - Rated M, Canon-Divergent AU, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. It's the casual touches that do it.

-Since I'm really feeling Luna's style, I checked out this story, too, and it's super cute. Love it.

"Fairy Tale" from "NaruHina Erotica Oneshots" by @makuro767 - Rated E, Fantasy AU, Two-shot. Naruto moved to an old family home to start anew and found an unlikely existence in his backyard...

-I am a total sucker for this type of size difference au. Like, it's just such a weird trope. It's just so weird. I love it. Makuro767 does a wonderful job with it!

"Love Is Not A Cage" by @nightowl27-writer - Rated E, Canon-Divergent AU, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. When Naruto comes back to his senses after the battle with Pein, the first thing he remembers are those baffling words she said just before she nearly died for him, and he NEEDS to hear them again. Will the truth set them free? Or are some confessions too much for the soul?

-that recent update killed me. In a good way. but oh man.

"Hinata (Mirror, Mirror)" from "Chicken Ramen for the Pervert's Soul" by @wickermayne - Rated E, Canon-Compliant, One-shot. Naruto rolled his eyes at the purchase asking why she needed it and complained about how much room it took up, but Hinata enjoyed modeling different dresses in front of it, loved how it let her see all the many different angles. And that seemed to keep Naruto quiet enough about the mirror.

So, I guess it's been months since I worked on this list. Because it's nearing the end of March 2024 now. And up at the top, apparently I was last working on this list in September 2023. And at that time, it had been "months" since the asker sent this. Well, here's the ones I've been reading recently:

"clash of possession - naruhina" by @powerful-niya - Rated E, Yakuza AU, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. -It's been awhile since I read an irredeemable Naruto, and Niya's not lying when she calls the characterization ruthless!!

"Prey" by @sessakag - Rated E, Modern/Gangs AU, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. Following a midnight chance encounter with Hinata Hyuuga, a smitten sociopath, Naruto Uzumaki, tries his hand at romance, determined to make her fall in love with him the only way he knows how.

-it's the mystery of Hinata's background that really fuels this piece for me. Icing on the cake is Naruto as a wonderfully sexy and dangerous stranger and the sexual tension between them that is absolutely exquisite.

"Paper Rings" by Its_Levioooosaa - Rated E, College/Soulmates AU, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. In a world where soulmates are found after a touch and after a brief moment of pain, resulting in a red loop circling the first knuckle of each person's pinky finger. Fating the two people together and leaving it up to them to decide what their relationship will be. Hinata had just stopped at her friends for a piece of pizza, little did she know that she'd be leaving with a soulmate.

-It's a cute premise and I can't wait to see what happens next! I love a good soulmate AU!

"Wanting More Than A Poolside View" by @bunny-hoodlum - Rated E, High School AU, Multi-chapter, Ongoing. Just a Sukumizu fetish scenario where Hinata is the target of a panty thief and recruits Naruto to investigate himself.

-I've been loving all of Bunny's updates this year, but I'm really hoping for an update on this one....or Narutoland haha, but I dunno what it is about High School NaruHina and their immaturity, it's just so fun!

After his almost 2-weeks overwork on his office, Naruto have decided to go straight home that night. He congratulated Shikamaru, from all those sleepless nights they have to endured for weeks since there's so many appointments, workload and papers to work on at the time but now— it's a free time that he want to enjoy alone in the comfort of his home. His so called home full of nothingness.

The woman before him emits a mature vibe. Shyness and stuttering now all gone, and what welcomes Naruto is full of elegance and warm. What he knows of Hinata were only from the Fourth Great Ninja War, so seeing her in this form was odd to see ; let alone be seen by him— her killer.

The indigo haired lady frowned, confusion written on her face, "Welcome home, Naruto-kun?" she still greeted even with the odd that her husband was too early to arrive from his mission.

He gulped, his lips dry and no voice coming out for him to greet the woman naturally. It's been so long since he have seen her, so so long that he scans her fully before he smiled warily..almost like a pained smile. "H-hey" his croaked voice visible. Shit. It was uncool of him as the older here, but what can he do!? He was infront of his dead friend— who died confessing her genuine love to her.

It took him years— years! Years to fully understand what love did Hinata gave to him, those little glances, the way she blushes and stutters whenever she's infront of him, or those efforts the girl always take for him that he just sees as an act of kindness back then.

Prompt:

7th Hokage naruto where he never married hinata bacause she died in the war, naruto after weeks of leaving on his office now went home with his empty house not until he was transmigrated to a timeline where hinata was married with him and now they're both put in an awkward situation. Naruto-kun of that timeline was away from a week, having a high rank mission given by the 6th hokage.

How will Naruto adjust to this new life with Hinata? Full of regrets, pain of reality, angst, drama, im in pain and you should be too, pain is real, im crying so do you, we should be in pain together.

This is an unedited note and naruhina drabble I have last year ago, which is specifically made on november 25. Let me know what you think?

funny, we had nh fair idea + plans wayyy back feb 2022.

it was supposedly for nh week (april) but considering we just finished nhmonth2021 and sunshine siblings week (jan) we thought creators needed a creativity break.

we were also considering the possibility that someone might host nhmonth2022 around may. bc last year, we had a backlash setting nhmonth2021 in december. some ppl told us it's overshadowing hinata's birth month and told us to move it around november instead or may since they told us it's naruhina's wedding month. but our main concern was for the participants bc they were the ones needed more time to prepare their entries for we announced it last september.

this year, that one anon ask ignited this to happen.

tbh i was hesitant at first to host again bc of last year's experience. it was fun but it was quite nerve-wracking bc i thought no one will participate considering there were ppl boycotting nhmonth2021. i was afraid it may happen again. very grateful for ate @quirrrky uplifting my spirit to continue hosting this event.

this year's celebration was a BLAST

i literally had the time of my life.

i did mention earlier that i experienced emotional stressed. it's bc of some internal fandom conflict but it wasn't related to the event. but some misinformation happened and the event was thrown in between, so i had to put myself in the situation and mediate. i didn't expect to be this emotionally attached to this fandom. i don't like seeing my mutuals fighting and it was quite hard for me to deal w the situation. it somehow got into me and derailed my momentum, so i took a break.

very grateful for all the entries bc it has kept me going every day. my heart swells w pride and joy seeing everyone's work. i enjoyed seeing and reading each one knowing the creator put their heart and soul into making it for naruhina. i wish i could express myself better w words and tell everyone i truly feel. i just hoped u feel our gratitude and our love and respect through our thank u cards.

i also loved seeing ppl commenting to the creator's post. sending their love. some got inspired to write or draw based on ones entry. i also love seeing ppl giving ideas according to a specific prompt and maybe someone will took inspiration from it.

how i wish i could have more entries. i only have 12 prepared before the event started. i wanted to draw the remaining days on the same day to challenge myself like i did last year, but i failed this year lmao. i was also anticipating some random things to happen that may inspire me to make art.

well, it turns out it did. one for the dilf thread and one from my crazy interactions w ate @bornonthebreakofdawn and @keycipo. i was just innocently scrolling through twitter, i did not expect to see that underwear huhuhuhu. i always send ate born anything naruto related and when i saw that post, i immediately sent it to her. didn't expect senny's posts abt giving naruto little hats. then suddenly both random ideas merged KLASHFKASHFSALKFA IT WAS CRAZY. i was smiling the entire day. i wasn't expecting @wickermayne to join in and write something too hahaha thank u sm for that wonderful, smutty fic. it was such a treat!

my total entry count is 16 but i have +2 more pending bc it's a collab w @keycipo. +2 more i didn't release; one is i decided to delayed posting for personal purposes. the second felt like it didn't fit the prompt. but i'll post these soon at the right time.

Hiii!! Okay first, thank you @ellaroundpanda for stopping by my ask box and sending me this request!! 🥺💖💖💖 So, I really tried to write up a concept piece that alone could work as a first chapter or the first half of one, but I've already had this idea in my head for the past week or so, and writing it out has been difficult. :( On top of how long it took me to figure out any story at all, I fear it'll take me too long to write. So here are my thoughts and then my loose outline of what this story would be. 😅

Bodyguard AU + "Mistaken for a Couple"

Naruto is a same-aged bodyguard to Hyuuga Hinata, the daughter of Councilman Hyuuga Hiashi. They hired Naruto in order to better disguise her protective detail, being him, as he can pass for a boyfriend or a friend.

Naruto is already a childhood friend and was asked to be her bodyguard. Maybe he was about to ask her out when Hiashi asked him for a favor. Naruto hasn't been able to get a job lately and Hiashi offers to pay him to stay by Hinata's side. Naruto at first loves the idea. He gets to be by Hinata's side more than usual, in fact, he gets to be by her side 24/7.

Hinata's mood is distant when she learns Naruto took the job. She understands he needs the money, but it puts a strain on what they had or were about to have.

Naruto takes his job seriously despite how he feels. Hinata is tempted to overstep the boundaries of his duties.

Hiashi is up for reelection and doesn't want any embarrassments, scandals, or attacks to occur during this tumultuous and stressful time.

Hinata has been a politician's daughter all her life and has a very business-like relationship with her father. She spent much of her time mothering her little sister.

Naruto is an orphan, his parents died in a fire. No one knows what started the apartment fire and he was taken in by a distant relative Nagato. Nagato's war-torn background belies his timid and cautious nature. The apartment fire that killed Naruto's parents was politicized, in that there had long been complaints of several dozen buildings (in the immigrant town of Little Uzushio) built during a certain era that were not up to code, had been neglected overall, etc, and the death of Naruto's parents was pushed as the government's burden to compensate.

So Naruto is among those waiting for a windfall from the ongoing class-action suit against the city. And Hiashi, as a DA, used Naruto as a prop back then.

That's how Naruto and Hinata met.

Loose Outline:

So the opening scene would be Naruto and Hinata together as normal showing their normal life. Naruto has feelings for Hinata and wants to confess to her. He's also struggling to get hired. Hinata offers to use her family connections but he's too proud to accept.

When Naruto gets pulled into Hiashi's home office, on the wall behind Hiashi is a framed collection of news clippings back when Hiashi was a DA running for Councilor. The most integral news clipping is when Hiashi fought for improvement in Little Uzushio where Naruto's parents died unnecessarily in a freak fire.

Little Naruto (5yos) is standing beside Hiashi in the photo.

Hinata is embarrassed of her father for using Naruto as a prop for his election campaign way back then up until Naruto was ten.

She feels sorry for Naruto in a lot of ways and admires him more often than that.

She feels like she owes him something, as if her father, their family name, has stolen away his personhood and dignity.

She feels bad when he evidently doesn't feel the same way. She thinks he has no idea that he's been used and moreso, she hates when he expresses even the slightest bit of gratitude towards her father.

Maybe they have an argument before Hiashi calls him in.

Naruto happily accepts the job.

Hinata is disappointed in him and angry at her father.

Hinata decides to be both difficult and tempting throughout their arrangement.

Their friends had always assumed they were already dating, so when Naruto is always staying overnight with Hinata lately, it's even more undeniable to them that they are a couple. And relative strangers make assumptions that lead to amusing misunderstandings.

I'm interested in making this into a short story sometime in the future! I think it could be quite fun! Thank you again! 💖

Naruhina AU Week Day 5: Arranged marriage

AU in which Hinata marries a man her father has chosen for her.

Unfortunately for Naruto and the rest, that man is not Naruto.

But as we all know, Naruto is a good sport, so he went to congratulate her and help her changing her clothes privately right after the ceremony. Actually he is that good of a friend that he remembers to congtatulate her frequently even after the marriage.

(Spoiler: All of my Naruhina AU’s have a happy Naruhina ending)
