Kakashi, had he been present, would have recognized this as a foreboding sign that Naruto was on the verge of losing his temper and potentially resorting to violence. "Crown Prince, I would advise caution before your inauguration," Naruto warned, his words carrying a weight of impending consequences.

brief context: Naruto Uzumaki is the CEO of a well-known company, a lot of people don't know.. even his present girlfriend, Sakura that he, has some sort of special talent.

Well you see, he has a special talent where he can read minds— or literally hear them in real life, without them knowing- without their consent.

Whereas, Hinata Hyuuga on the other hand, works under that same company, and has a suppressed feeling for her boss for almost 3 years now, without well, Him, knowing.

Naruto stilled, his eyes darting around to find the one who's voice is this invading on his mind, who keeps boggling his already chaotic infused mind, and there she is—

Silently, like the air, cupping her favorite blend of coffee against the office's kitchen,

Naruto ponders who might be this person, who might be on Hinata's train of thoughts as of right now.

'Stood a chance on him huh?'

He never thought that there will be a time that he'll discover this quiet woman's interest in men, they've been working for years, and he really do admire her work, perseverance, determination, and hard work.

So to see her, the ever so serious yet gentle employee of his show some soft side of hers , a tell tale sign of her having affectionate feelings, it made him wonder.

It sparked a different interest, a sudden bubbling curiosity to know more for Naruto. To know more, to discover every nook and cranny with his all might.

To know everything there is to this one of a kind woman, Hinata Hyuga.

' I wonder, if I, if I was just as determined as I am right now back then, would I.. would I approach him, earlier, even before she came to his life?

Before everything shambled and crumbled and bask into this sunlight freely without any shame nor remorse to myself?'

Wow.

Just, wow.

He was definitely speechless to say the least, like, no really, he's being honest right now literally.

She sure have loved this certain guy for at least more than a year, Naruto estimated. Why? Well excuse his mind but the way she sound so disappointed and just so melancholy about the whole ordeal she's thinking of, makes him think that she's been keeping her love all to herself.

She's afraid of taking risk but that's also what's creeping up now to her memories, eating her up with a lot of what ifs, and regrets mixed with heavy disappointments.

In return, it left a bitter taste feeling for Naruto, and an aching heart, because he knew so damn well that feeling, of not being chosen— of not being enough.

Well sure, him and Hinata faces different situation and circumstances but in a sense they're also highly similar for they both have the feelings that correlates with one another.

And that's enough.

For Naruto, he's adamant that what he have seen is enough.

But he's wrong.

It's nowhere near enough.

If he could only turn back the time right at this moment, to go back to that specific time where she's just sipping her favorite coffee, he would, hell, if he have to move the sky and the mountain for it to happen then sure he will do it in no time without any complain.

To know it and to fully comprehend and analyze it are two different things.

In his defense, how could he possibly know?

Who could've thought that all this time...

Here's Part 2.

But It's Just My Take before Part 3 takes Place! I think they're somewhat interconnected!

"Thank you Naruto-kun." she smiled before he felt her leaving his close proximity between her, that somehow made him feel empty, as if something was snatched away from what is rightfully his.

Naruto was confused, he studied a lot on human interactions or at least on social interactions that is suitable in every occasion or situation to ready himself as the next Hokage guided by his very own sensei, Kakashi, the 6th Hokage.

Based on that, he actually learned that there's a lot of meaning behind a 'Thank You'- he can't just wrap his mind around that just yet... isn't saying thank you just a sign of gratitude from someone who did something important for you? However, he did kind of understand it right at the moment.

Who was he fooling exactly?

Hinata's tone confuses him, is she implying that she's thankful about his compliment about her hair? Naruto's not sure either, or..

or..

or what?

He questioned his thoughts that seems to contradict his instincts and feelings.

Maybe..

Maybe she was saying thank you for all the times he helped her?

Naruto shook his head, immediately ignoring the very thought of that happening. That might sound as if Hinata's leaving him, letting him go, that's not just right.

Hinata leaving him? As if.

That would never happen even in his darkest dreams.

Naruto was so wrong he wanted to bang his head on the metal handle on his apartment's stairways.

He hasn't seen Hinata for two weeks now.

Sure, missions are back to back, but as much as he heard from his well known sensei Team 8 didn't gotten that much of missions and either Hinata too. Which increased his confusion and made his frustration grew.

Where is she?

Then this happened.

He was walking leisurely in the busy streets of Konoha, one Saturday morning, he was so focused on checking some stores that sells Cinnamon Buns and that's when he get a glimpse of dark blue hair on his right that made his heart warm immediately after seeing.

At first he thought it was just an illusion and so he blinked for several times before gazing back onto that same store, only to find that so familiar silhouette of her.

'He missed her a lot, it was so painful'

He jogged towards her before he shouted her name, "Hinata!" it was surely loud enough to be heard because even with this distance, he can saw her body tensed up.

Huh?

Tensed up? Naruto reasoned that maybe she's just shocked to see him at this place, at this time. Surely that's just it, right?

Safe to say he isn't entirely right.

Before his foot can enter that said store, he had saw how Hinata turned her body to face his direction and looked around. It made him feel an itch, a growing desire to be seen by that pearly orbs quickly or this itch will continue, this frustration will continue -

And then, she did.

Her eyes found him.

And for that, Naruto felt a satisfaction he never thought he would feel right at that point.

That very eyes he dreamed off, shrink, probably in shock and the familiar red hue painted her pale cheeks.

His grin doubled and surely the shine on his eyes too, he badly want to just run up fastly as he can to be with her maybe if he could just-

When he looked again to gaze at Hinata, he found himself dumbfounded.

Why?

It's as if Hinata wasn't even there in that position she was in moments ago to begin with.

Naruto is so sure, she ran away before he can sense it. Anger seeped from his veins and takes a root to his heart.

Devastated, Naruto stood there on his spot, the time seemed to not run for the blond male because his sunshine just left him.

Hinata, left him- more like, avoided him.

But why?

Why did she do that?

He stilled on his place just before the tiled floor of the shop, blocking some of the way.

It's as if he didn't noticed the time, everything became a blur because there's only one thing that on his mind right now.

Hinata...

The blond, wilted like a sunflower without any up most care from it's owner and an enough absorption of sunlight, figuratively.
