#Musa and Stella are probably the fastest of the Winx
charmixpower · 2 years
Note
Random but i have a hc that Musa is the fastest fairy in alfea, what with sound being the second fastest thing in the universe. Stella has the greatest potential to be extremely fast with her jurisdiction over light but she just. Doesn't like going that fast
Musa's a complete adrenaline junkie tho and can fly fast enough to cause major damage to anything she flies near due to immense pressure and her reaching terminal velocity when she flies.
Ohhh that's very cool!!
Actually part of the reason I like Musa and Stella as a battle pair so much is because I like to think that their the only ones that can keep up with eachother, speed wise. I've never thought about either of their base speed all that much, aside from Stella and Musa being notably faster than the others, but I do imagine Stella having a speed of light spell and Musa having a speed of sound spell to fly faster when they need to
Though I definitely see your point, Stella would probably prefer teleporting over actually going breakneck speeds 🤔🤔. What if she hit something and got an ugly bruise?? Horrible. She wouldn't be able to stand it
Plus her fear of heights is only mitigated because she can trust her wings but flying that fast would probably stress her tf out
I can see Musa just enjoying flying around stupid fast for as long as she can manage, before her magic stores are used up and she needs to get back lol
That would definitely contribute to her ending up the fastest because she's been accidentally doing speed training
Musa would probably hit "fastest at Alfea" in season 2? I feel like a senior would be faster than her until that point, then she'd claim her crown as fastest flier. Like Lolina, who has electricity powers, would probably be faster than season 1 Musa. Ohhh now I'm imagining them having a fake little rivalry to encourage both of them to try harder and fly faster 🥺🥺. Musa has a senior friend that she hangs out with during flight classes 🥺🥺
Ohhh Musa would ADORE the Enchantix wings the most then 🥺🥺 because then she'd be able to fly in high speed winds that would of blown her away before that 🥺🥺🥺
AHHHHH!!!! OMG!!!!! that's so cute!!!!
Imagine Musa grabbing Aisha to go flying with her 🥺🥰???? I am perfectly calm about this idea <- (lying) (they're so cute!!) (Ugh and Aisha would be so happy to fly with her so cute!!)
I can definitely see Musa as an adrenaline junkie, because she surrounds herself with adrenaline junkies dksksjskdn she's definitely one of them too
Musa being able to fly fast enough to break shit is super cool!!! I love that!!!

HARPIX!! wings are super fun but also evil
lore and design notes below
So just like Sirenix, Harpix is earned through a quest. Elemental quests are traditionally initiated through the corresponding elemental companion, but a “cheat code” exists in the Elementix Compendium to kickstart each of the quests with out a companion (if the fairy already has Harmonix obvi). The Harpix quest requires a fairy to earn a Feather, and present the feather to the Source of Harpix on planet Magix (like the sirenix pearls, the riddles to find the feathers are also in the Elementix Compendium). Each winx would decide to find the feather on their own planet, and probably bond with their respective Sylph. I’m still figuring out how the feathers work but I figure there are special places or birds that generate the feathers needed and the fairy has to pass a trail to earn it.
Design! I’ve described Harpix before when talking about Daphne and the elementix here but basically, half back hair, vest over bandeau or shirt, puffy/fluttery shorts or mini skirt(flora is the only one in a skirt here actually), tied sash or draped fabric, fabric wrapping on the legs, arms become wings, fairy wings resemble feathers and air currents. Though I’ve added: one or two feathers featured on the vest, sparkles on the bird wings, and more realistic wing types. the designs for these actually came to me pretty easily, I had some issues with Aisha and I wish I could have figured out how to push the asymmetry on Tecna more but otherwise I’m really satisfied with these.
Each girl has a different wing type!
Aisha: strong narrow wings for soaring and endurance(think albatross) she’s not as agile in the air as she is with sirenix
Flora: Short circular wings (pheasants or quails) being the most earth oriented of the winx Flora does not prefer Harpix even with wings she’s more comfortable with short bursts of flight and staying on the ground whenever possible.
Musa: Small and narrow, but extremely agile wings (humming birds) Musa is most at home in Harpix, Melodians have a strong connection to air elementals, Melodian cranes are a prominent figures in folklore, and are centrally featured in a Melodian creation myth. As a result, Musa gains tail feathers, extended feathery ears, clawed feet and altered skin texture going up the leg. (I probably went a little too hard on giving her harpy aspects considering she’s only half melodian and has no actual harpy blood but idc it looks cool)
Tecna: rectangular lift focused wings (vultures or pelicans) she primarily functions as a battle surveyor, circling the others as a look out. Zenithians have a decent connection to storms and air, and as a result Tecna has extended feathery ears in Harpix.
Bloom: powerful wings with decent agility and speed (Eagles or hawks) Bloom uses her hands a lot to channel her fire magic so transferring it to wings messes with her for a little while but she gets used to it
Stella: Long fast wings with decent endurance (falcons) Stella is the fastest flyer outside of Harpix as well and the skill transfers well. Solarians have a very slight connection to the air element but its not a lot so her ears have just a few feathers.

Me and @hiddenwarlock present to you: the losers club as winx club members
No, no one asked for it. Yes, the world needed it.
Bill as Bloom
C’mon. Look me in the eyes and tell me they’re not the same.
Readheads? Check.
Leader of their respective groups? Check.
Tragic backstory? Check.
Brave? Loyal? Impulsive? Check.
Even their names are similar. They’re the same person, I’m telling you.
Richie as Stella
This one is a little trickier but hear me out. They’re both chaotic children and the comic relief of their respective groups, but they go absolutely feral if someone they love is in danger. Do not try them.
They both tend to joke in the face of danger even thought they sometimes overstep their boundaries (beep beep Richie), and they can both be pretty stubborn.
Plus, you cannot tell me Richie’s Hawaiian shirts aren’t top fashion.
Stan as Flora
They both love nature, where they feel secure and safe, and seek out peaceful resolutions to conflicts before taking part in the group’s fight.
They’re both very shy and don’t open up to strangers, trusting only their group of friends. They both love to read and to do indoor activities. One of them probably hates humans in general. And it’s not Flora.
Mike as Roxy
Roxy is the last one to join the group, much like Mike in the Losers Club, and is considered the “outcast” of the gang because she’s the last Earth fairy.
She lives with her father and doesn’t know her mother, like Mike in the movie adaptation lives with his grandpa and often wonders about his parents.
They both have a dog (Mr. Chips is Mike’s dog in the book, while Arthur is Roxy’s) that they are very attached to, and they both empathize with animals (Mike refusing to kill the sheep and Roxy being the literal fairy of animals)
They’re both optimistic, generous and brave.
Ben as Tecna
Both Ben and Tecna are very rational and intelligent, but also very generous and sweet to their friends.
They may come off as distant to those who don’t know them (Ben’s loneliness makes him look that way when he meets Bill and Eddie for the first time in the book, but he quickly gets closer to them all over the summer).
They both love to investigate mysteries and solving riddles.
Beverly as Musa
Both Beverly and Musa are tomboys, they’re very brave and determinated, and they’re both creative people (Musa with music and Beverly with drawing fashion). They both fall in love despite saying they don’t care about boys in that sense. Plus, Musa and Tecna are stated to be very close (Iginio Straffi said Benverly rights)
Last but not least, they both were responsible for my gay awakening. I dare you to disagree. If Musa was your favorite as a kid you’re gay now. Sorry I don’t make the rules.
Eddie as Layla (Aisha in OG)
Because it’s the only one left out and I’m tired.
Just kidding.
Both Eddie and Aisha are brave, outgoing people, with a twist of proud and feisty character. When they get mad they do not mess around.
While Layla’s active nature might seem unfit for Eddie, the book does state that Eddie has an hidden passion for running, and that would genuinely like to attend PE class (Layla’s favorite lesson), if it wasn’t for his mother not allowing him to. Eddie is also the fastest out of the Losers Club and the most skilled with orientation.
They’re also both annoyed with studying (in the book Eddie has some problems with school and is annoyed by the extra effort he has to make).
And lastly, they both tend to unconsciously choose to be with people who are courageous and adventurous.

AND ALSO A STAT SHEET FOR THE WINX AND WINX-ADJACENT FAIRIES BECAUSE WHY NOT.
Bloom kept fit thanks to archery but she’s a below-average melee fighter in the group. Her magical defense is poor but she makes up for it with her resilience and raw magic. The pink squares are the power she achieves when activating her Dragon Aura, it’s then that she becomes a powerhouse. Has very minor healing abilities, but it’s limited to fixing minor injuries.
Stella is actually decently fit thanks to jogging a lot as a teen but she still doesn’t do well melee-wise without her staff. She has high resistance to magic and is a decent healer if Flora’s not available. The cyan squares are the power boost her staff brings, without it she’s somewhat weak speedster.
Flora can and WILL destroy you in a fight. She’s the one girl with formal combat training (aided by her fans) and can end you pretty fast in a regular fight. She’s pretty weak magic-wise, though, which is why she goes more for delaying or effects. Her healing abilities are the best of the team thanks to her upbringing.
Musa’s the second strongest physical fighter but she’s more of a street-style brawler, use of string sword notwithstanding. She’s as fast as Stella and is the group’s best magical attacker, but her magic resilience is horrible. She has a decent minor healing prowess but she’s of the mindset she will do more harm than good, so she limits it exclusively to scraps and shallow cuts.
Tecna is a long purple nerd noodle and she goes down pretty fast in physical combat. Her magic is the strongest of the team, however, and can dish out as much magical damage as she can take it. She’s also the fastest. Her healing magic is almost nonexistent.
Aisha does better on hand-to-hand combat than Bloom and Stella, but not by much. She’s middle-of-the-road in speed... on land and air. Underwater she’s the fastest of them all. She’s good at dealing magical damage, but not that good at resisting it. Has similar healing capacities to Bloom.
Roxy is similar to Flora in that she’s good at melee (though that’s mostly thanks to Roxy having helped at a barn in her spare time, building decent strength), bad at magic attacks, but that’s mostly due to magic being still pretty new to her. She’s probably an even better healer than Flora, but she’s much more familiar with animals than people so she doesn’t do much with that abilty when in combat.
Diaspro goes down with just a single light punch, the girl cannot take a hit. Her magical defensive spells rival Tecna’s, however, and while she’s not the fastest she can outlast a lot while also dealing decent magical damage. Much like Tecna, she can’t do much in the healing department.
Daphne has the upper hand in a) having a Dragon Aura, b) actually knowing how to use it, and c) having had Paladin-like training after being appointed Nymph of Sirenix. She’s not the best at hand-to-hand fighting, but does really, really well in magic combat. She’s decently fast and has above average healing abilities as well. Much like Bloom, the yellow squares are the boost she gets with her Dragon Aura activated, and unlike her sister, she also distributes it to defensive spells.

Okokokok so I wanna talk about the s2 Tecna/Timmy arc bc brain worms, this arc was really interesting and fun and slightly wasted in some places so I get to ramble about it
Tenca thinks the thing she values most is logic but this is blatantly false, and a fun little character thing because she actually doesn't know what the real thing is any substituting it for what people expect her to value most, told her she should value most, or the cultural consensus of what Zenith values most
There's a lot of examples of her ignoring logic for something else and they show a trend
It's stated that Flora and Musa have the best grades, and that Tecna is the smartest out of all of the Winx. This obviously means that Tecna probably skips class, doesn't do homework, half-asses assignments and more because her grades don't reflect how much she knows. It's implied that she spends this time making new technology
When the Trix have Stella captured in Season 1, Tecna is the most firm in refusing to give the Trix the ring. She was resolute in fighting the Trix, despite all previous encounters pointing to the fact that this was a beyond stupid idea. On top of that episode was to show off Bloom's leadership ablities, because she was able to think about this calmly without being able to rely on Tecna to give the facts
You'd think Tecna would be the slowest to act, waiting on the full information of the situation, but she isn't. In season 1 she shoulder bashed doors so she never had to slow down, girl isn't deliberate. Tecna prefers to work and quickly and efficiently as she can to mitigate future harm rather than understand the whole situation. As seen with the Avalon's Secret episode
Tecna realized that the Omega portal could be closed in a perticualr way, but instead of telling anyone, she decided the fastest way to deal with it was to do it herself. A additional note is that when getting their Enchantix's though sacrifice, Tecna is the one I'd argue had the least amount of emotional reason to act rashly. Her sacrifice is the only one that absolutely couldn't be interpreted as a panicked split second decision. Everyone else made they're sacrifice in emotional turmoil, Tecna walked to hers
From this you can see that Tecna clearly cares more about something else more than the logical decision. When someone is in danger, she usually tries to save them quickly. Prioritizing getting them to safety quickly over the best possible course of action. She HATES conceding anything to the enemy, enough that it makes her too angry to think straight. Tecna is ready and willing to give up her life, without any adrenaline making her act more rashly than she nomrally would, to keep people safe
It's not surprising that she'd be upset at Timmy. When given a similar situation, Tecna would pick die before she'd let the Trix walk away. It's clear that she doesn't know or care that it's stupid, she's too tied up in her feelings
And I think that's the thing that actually made Tecna mad. Tecna at this point was just staring to open up, so she really wouldn't have a way to express how she actually felt. I think she was mad because she thought Timmy wasn't committed to their shared principals and would roll over when someone more powerful than him entered the ring instead of still trying despite the odds
This is how Tecna functions, and it's fairly unsurprising that she'd be upset that the person she's in love with doesn't share this commitment to what she sees as their shared principals
Now, I fucking hate how Timmy's writing was handled and this arc. I hate it so fucking much. It's god awful. Just thinking about it makes me wanna grind my teeth
The consequence of Tecna seeing Timmy as uncommitted is that she also sees him as unreliable. So the show tackles this part of her upset. Which is dumb. Timmy's sudden burst of confidence thats completely contrary to how he acts in the ENTIRE rest of the show will get on my fucking nerves for the rest of my life. They just changed his personality for a few episodes so Tecna could realize she was wrong for thinking he was unreliable
The show takes the stance that Tecna was being unreasonable when she got mad at Timmy, and they immediately undercut this by having Timmy prove himself to her. Why? The show acknowledges the fact she's holding everyone around her to the same exact standards she holds herself to is irrational. So why vindicate her original thought by pulling him ooc and making him prove himself? Leave him alone and have her realize that she's expecting too much on her own, or have Timmy show bravery in a way he'd normally would and when Tecna gets snippy have him explain why her expectations are stupid
Timmy has stood up for himself before, like in s1 when he yells at Riven and Brandon to shut up. Her expecting him to attack the lady that nearly murdered one of your squad members who's the best at combat, is worth standing up for himself. Why they did not take this path I'll never understand
This would also make Tecna's arc so much better. Batting the writers hands away from Timmy. Leave him alone, who are you making him prove himself. He doesn't owe Tecna shit rn
In this argument he'd make her realize that her expectations are way too much, and that it's better to live another day than die and still not win. Tecna would argue back, being unable to let go of her world view, revealing that she holds herself to the same expectations. Expecting this fact to win the argument. Then she'd be hit with something along the line that she shouldn't do that to herself, or something to that effect. Which she can't comprehend. Giving her a complete existential crisis, and then Timmy fucks off bc he hates arguments and is stressed tf out
Looking at all of this makes me think that Tecna was raised with a very strong "cog in the machine" mentality, that stifled both her ability to express her emotions and gave her a lack of self preservation. Which could tie into her arc of learning to express herself, bc then it could be both emotionally and her individuality...
I think I've lost the plot a little bit, but I love Tecna's character arc and I think Timmy shouldn't of had to prove himself to her in s2 bc that's dumb lol
Anyways I like this arc a lot. Tecna just being wrong because she's so caught up in her own feelings is such a good character defining moment. I love her, she's so much fun

Ranking the girlies wings up to Harmonix: 🎶 Musa 🎶
1) Believix
Tumblr media
Musa doesn't have pure weird girl enegry like Tecna, but she does have alternative girl enegry which is why she has my favorite of the nonstandard Believix wings. Probably my favorite Believix wings. I really really love the dangly accessories. I think it does the dangle thing better than half of the Enchantix wings, don't tell Enchantix I said that, so this one is really high up there for me. They're also probably the least over designed of the Believix wings, striking a balance between interesting and busy looking
The only thing is for some reason, and this only happens with these wings in perticualr, the loop on top makes it look like her wings are turning and crossing over themselves instead of pinching in and out like I see Galatea's wings and I don't like it. I don't know why this happens, and it getting better, but it bothers me for like no reason
2) Magic Winx
Tumblr media
You can blame @nymphietonkslupin for this being so high, but her small thin wings remind me of active soaring and high speed bird wings which fits perfectly with the headcanon that Musa is the fastest flier of the girls. Her wings just look like they'd be good for flying fast
On a less headcanon-y note, I think she has the best nonstandard magic Winx wings (Aisha, Bloom, and Stella having classic, Musa and Flora having non standard, and Tecna being in a category of her own) as their thin the lack of detail doesn't make them look dull and boring. They also don't fall in the trap of Stella's, and especially Bloom's and Aisha's wings looking similar. So it makes Musa stick out, which makes sense as she has one of the more notable styles
3) Enchantix
Tumblr media
I really like them. It suffers from the same contrasting color problem that Flora has, where it just looks kinda not good color wise to me, but the shape of these babies. Her lower top wing is over lapping her top most wing!! It's so cool looking. And the Enchantix danglies my beloved, tho her Believix did it better lol. Musa's hair is like purple in her Enchantix, and the purple of her wings matches that which looks really pretty. I wish they would of gone with a more orangey yellow, but ya know
4) Harmonix
Tumblr media
While I think these wings are a little excessively big for Harmonix, it looks like a bunch of fish tails and fins on top of eachother. Like?? Look at them. They just look like fins. It's really pretty and I like it quite a bit, I just wish it didn't over power the rest of the design
5) Lovix
Tumblr media
They're boring and uninteresting, but they have a spike on the bottom wing, which is the only reason it's above Sophix because they equally bore me
6) Sophix
Tumblr media
I can't tell if these or Stella's Sophix wings are more boring, and I don't care

Hey! I love your winx reboot content. I saw on your bloomix post stuff about fighting styles and i was wondering if you had a separate post for that or if you’d elaborate on your headcanons for each winx’s battle strategy? I love hearing your ideas!
Thanks and sure thing! below the cut
Bloom: mele fighter, emphasis on short range burst spells. Has no serious training in combat but will wreath her fists in fire and just punch people/monsters out. Being the current holder of the dragon flame makes her fire a little more tactile than normal flame magic. often relies on emotion and adrenaline to carry her thru a fight rather than any real fighting tactics. her magic are very heavy on the damage side of things (burns, explosions, smoke etc), but she does have a low level talent for healing
Aisha: another mele fighter, aisha focuses on equal short range defensive and offensive strategies. She has a fair amount of combat training, and uses morphix made weapons and magic interchangeably. She has a lot of stamina and tends to focus on methodically incapacitating foes as quickly as possible. she has no problem targeting weak points in a real fight, and usually has to restrain her drive to “just win” in an spar or ceremonial battle. She has a high level of healing magic as well. Her magic inflicts a few different injury types: blunt force, slices, restraints, and suffocation if shes feeling particularity nasty, she usually tries to capture as opposed to kill.
Stella: Long range, probably the longest in the winx. Stella has some training with staff weaponry but didn’t really pursue it. She uses of course, light magic, and leans towards beams and rays to deal damage. While she really is the fastest flier in the winx, she also uses spells to manipulate the light around her body and appears to flicker or “glitch”, so shes very hard to hit. her magic is the second most powerful (after bloom) though this is mostly because she technically has two power sources. Her sun magic (her preferred) inflicts damage similar to bloom’s, and her lunar magic offers a total magic boost as well as some healing abilities.
Musa: another long range, though she fights pretty well close range too. She mainly deals with sound magic, which gives her a little bit of air magic too since that’s the carrying medium for sound lol. she uses deep/concussive sound spells(bass blast, most “sonic” attacks) for broad attacks and high pitched sound spells (crystal voice) for pointed attacks. she relies heavily on her disco ball style shield and is primarily attack oriented. She generally has a low level version of her shield (its actually air currents) around her. In addition to protection it also keeps her partially hidden from view and her sound muffled so shes incredibly stealthy. Her magic inflicts mostly internal damage, and can effect balance and cognition.
Tecna: another long range, Tecna works better from the background providing support and information to the rest of the winx. She uses a wide range of spells, mostly technological sourced. She has the most success with electrical or computer code attacks. Her attack skills aren’t super high but shes an all rounder. She doesn’t pursue healing magic, and it doesn’t come naturally to her, but if she pursued it she could become a decent healer. using her digital nets she can gather information from all areas of the battle field and uses a communication spell for keep everybody connected. Tecna’s magic inflicts electrical burns, chemical burns, mental damage and cognition.
Flora: healer, also does defense. though the third most powerful magic wise, flora prefers to focus on healing, defending, and restraining while on the battle field. She’s also incredibly good at mixing potions. She’s the primary healer, and usually uses her magic to boost everybody else’s during a fight. When Flora does attack she tends to use vines or flowery wind spells. She can tag team with almost any other member of the winx very well, and her convergence spells are always the most successful. Her magic inflicts a wide range of damage; poison, restraints, blunt force, slice, crushing, and piercing, but she rarely chooses to do any lasting harm.
