How To Plan For Your Arcade Gaming Den
What is the foremost thing that comes to mind while planning for any business?
It is the budget.
Don't rush the process; get into it thoughtfully.
Your expenses will change significantly based on the type of arcade business you start. A conventional arcade machine game center might be able to function in a small area if its expenditures are kept under $250,000. Costs could reach $1 million for a larger entertainment complex like Dave and Buster's.
The game itself is usually the biggest part of an arcade's startup cost. Costing from $6,000 to $9,000, even a modest selection of 20 games eats up almost half of that low-end $250k budget.
You will also need to lease a space, and that cost will vary depending on your location and the size of your arcade games console. A rough estimate for a space between 3,000 and 5,000 square feet would be in the range of $1,200-$2,800 per month.
The computers and cash registers, renovating and decorating the space, and licensing fees will take up your remaining budget.
You'll also need to pay the staff that you employ around the arcade machine games console. Moreover, if you serve food or beverages, you will also have additional costs for vending machines and supplies in your arcade machine games center.
These investments are the costs you will bear while starting your arcade machine games business. But these are not everything that will cost you. There are certain ongoing expenses. Let's have a look at them.
Rent and machine maintenance are the main recurring costs. Utility costs may be more than you anticipate because electronic equipment runs continuously throughout the day. For instance, the smallest site of a popular arcade chain costs $15,000 a month in utilities. Monthly costs also cover things like paying personnel and keeping the place clean.
There might not be enough storage for all the consoles you buy to store. Maintaining a rotation of machines would necessitate a storage area for unused machines, although this is uncommon for small arcades and wouldn't be a problem at the beginning of your business.
After indulging in these, you need to know your target audience.
Know Your Target Audience
Depending on the type of arcade gaming machine you manage, you may have a different preferred clientele.
Families and kids both frequent traditional arcades; for families, arcade gaming may be a way to strengthen relationships, and for youngsters, it's the perfect place to spend money on fun when there aren't many other possibilities.
Meanwhile, "barcades" cater to hipsters who enjoy playing vintage pinball while drinking artisan beer.
Last but not least, arcade/restaurant combos like Dave and Buster's draw a mix of patrons, including families and business people eager to unwind after work.
How To Choose Your Video Arcades Console?
When it comes to buying video arcade machines, you have a few choices.
You have the option of investing in brand-new equipment
Purchasing old arcade machines
Hunting down vintage arcade machines from the 1980s or 1990s
Classic arcade machines have become popular to capitalize on people's nostalgia. However, you should be aware of all the work involved in maintaining older machines, including where to find parts and technicians who are experienced in fixing them. If working on these devices and bringing them back to life is your passion, join the community of enthusiasts.

I have a pressing Bakugou question that I’ve been pondering about all day, so I came to seek an expert opinion on the matter…what do you think is bakugou’s ideal first date? MWAH 😽
When I’m asked questions like this I become incredibly selfish because I just give the answer that I like and not what I think he’d actually enjoy😭😂
But I think activity based dates? Either the movies, or bowling, axe throwing etc. Something where there’s a distraction between you and he doesn’t have to focus on conversation. Because no matter how much he likes you, and how excited he is that you’re going out on a date with him— he’s absolutely terrified about being able to hold down an actual conversation with you. So watching a film, or playing a game in between gives the perfect excuse to be quiet for a sec, and also allows you both to comment on the activity instead.
But Bakugou also doesn’t care that it’s a first date, he’ll still be so competitive that he’s hellbent on beating you whatever the game is.

Finally, pictures of the shadowbox I ordered to hold my latest miniatures! I have another shadowbox I bought back in college, which holds all the minis from *then*, but it's full and I needed somewhere safe for these guys.
It was advertised as for rock collections, which meant the cubbyholes are big enough for all the oddly sized minis like Boone and Legate Lanius, who are bigger than 2" on at least one dimension. It's got a hinged clear plexi door (on left) so that they're less likely to get dusty or fall out somehow.
Top row is all Fallout New Vegas: Craig Boone, Vulpes Inculta, Legate Lanius, Lucius, and Arcade Gannon.
Next row is Rowan Dane (The Outer Worlds), a character I haven't yet talked out (oops), Gunnar Volk (Fallout New Vegas, and who I want to redo next time I have spare cash to throw at Heroforge), an earlier Arcade Gannon I made from a vintage Ral Partha whitemetal figure, Willow Ironwood (Fallout 76)
Next row is an NCR soldier (another vintage Ral Partha repaint), a large white dog/wolf, and Nick Valentine (another vintage Ral Partha repaint). The Ral Parthas are slightly smaller scale than the HeroForge plastics.
I still have room for 12 more, and I want to do more, I just have to get the minis :)

Did you know that the Tamagotchi Uni has lots of seasonal content?
