I'm excited for NCIS: Origins. Mike Frank Alive and Probie Gibbs. I wish they introduce Ducky down the road too.
NCIS introduced different potential spinoff:
- LA 14x 17 one of my favourites. I like episodes with cold cases allowing you to go back on different times in the same show.
- I didn't like knight father. He can retire but it'll be a new Place rarely showed and new concept.
- I miss the early seasons of LA where the norm were going undercover to solve cases. Elite can be a mix of that and different natural of cases.

So Lucy doesn’t like the water…at all. I sense a very interesting conversation between her and Deeks in the crossover. 😂

Some fallout OCs
Terry - Actor who decided to just settle down and become a bartender in the middle of nowhere
Solomon - An ex-priest who is married to a ghoul cowboy. He's had a long life with a lot of different occupations, including sex worker
Tara - My courier six who wasn't shot by Benny but by my boyfriend's OC who was working for Benny at the time. (Not including details because he's not my OC to speak about). She forgave Benny for nearly getting her killed and travels with him and Boone
Loki (Uses the names Martie and Doe) - He's an OC that I'm really struggling to leave in the past so I'm dragging him along by his feet through every fandom I've become obsessed with. I'm not sure how he survived other than pure luck on his part to be honest. He isn't the smartest, but he does have charm on a good day

Sometimes I just sit and imagine what btvs could have been like if the women characters and their perspectives were TRULY centered and what all could have been.
How much wasn’t explored
How angel gets his own show but is completely reliant on the presence of Cordelia and the most interesting story lines revolve around her, darla, and drusilla. And how they needed Spike, the most female gaze male character, to even have a 5th season
How Riley gets to live and be a hero with a hot badass wife but Tara, Anya, and Kendra all are dead
How much xander’s abusive, toxic monologues passing judgment on everyone but himself often serve as the “facts or true reality” of the narrative rather than the rantings of a jealous, bitter, repressed, weak and pathetic boy
So much of the show is about a woman but still with men and men’s opinions, needs, desires at the center. We can see jane and marti’s efforts to center women’s narratives more especially in season 6 and 7 but much like I mourn what the first 32 years of my life could have been without patriarchy, what could have been for this show with so many incredible women that left so much potential unrealized.
Fan fiction is a reclamation of this lost potential. It’s a powerful and radical thing to do. Correcting the narrative to center who should have been centered all along heals the parts of us society wants us to neglect within ourselves for the sake of men (or straight people or white people or cis people) and their own narratives. It’s a way to decenter men not only in our real life spaces but our fictional ones too

I do often find Xander incredibly frustrating – especially in the high school seasons which I’m rewatching now – but I don’t particularly think the issue is that Xander is a “Whedon self insert” (whatever that means).  In fact, Xander is often at his worst in episodes written by people other than Joss Whedon, whether that’s Teacher’s Pet or The Pack or Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered or Dead Man’s Party.  If the self-insert theory were true, wouldn’t that be the exact opposite? Or is the problem that Xander is a Marti Noxon self-insert too?
No, I think the problem is a lot simpler than that: I just don’t think the writers are very good at writing sympathetic teenage boys (which is why Oz is painfully underwritten and why Xander is … well).  And in particular I think that the writers really struggle to work out who Xander is (beyond being the token boy with no magical powers or super-strength) after Season 1.  Other than his unrequited attraction to Buffy, what does he want?  What motivates him?  I genuinely don’t think the writers have a consistent answer to this question yet, and although The Zeppo (which I’ve not quite gotten to on my current rewatch) will start to address this, I think they won’t really have one until Season 4 at the earliest.  Yes, there are fragments here and there that you can build on if you want – the hints that imply his parents are abusive, a suggestion that he looks up to Giles almost as much as Giles look down on him, the occasional moment you can claim as evidence that Xander might be attracted to men –  but if you do start building on those fragments you’re ultimately engaged in fanfiction as much as you are analysis of the actually-existing material.  The writers themselves hadn’t put in the work to make those pieces coalesce into something cohesive at this point in the show’s history (and some of those hints will never be developed further).
And the other problem, which isn't quite unique to Xander but probably affects him more than anybody else, is that the show is still mostly very episodic in these three seasons.   So – even when we’re clearly not supposed to approve of Xander’s actions – the show never really allows them to have any long-term negative consequences for him. (Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered might have Giles rage at Xander for trying to cast a love spell on Cordelia for a few minutes, but it still ends with Buffy cheerfully thanking him for not sexually assaulting her – despite his admission that “for a minute it was touch and go” –  and with the popular girl he was actively trying to take “revenge” on at the start of the episode deciding she’s so touched by the romanticism of this act that she’d rather be with him than worry about the good opinion of any of her friends.  And the events of the episode are never mentioned again.) So it’s very easy to get the impression that the writers don’t particularly think Xander’s doing anything wrong after all, even when I don’t think that’s the case.
Ultimately, I think you just have to accept that Buffy and Xander are close friends and that this friendship means a lot to both of them for the show to work, in much the same way you have to accept a lot of the show’s rather silly worldbuilding.  Which … is fine, really.  If I can accept a magical human-detecting chip in somebody’s head or Sunnydale’s ever-changing geography or the nonchalant way everyone in school reacts to their fellow students being violently killed on a weekly basis or any of the nonsense the show says about the Watcher’s Council I can, I suppose, accept a teenage girl with poor social skills and a reputation that makes her something of a social pariah becoming friends with a teenage boy who is mostly well-meaning but often kind of sucks.  This aspect of the high school seasons is perhaps a bit like the Season 6 issue of Willow and Tara living rent free at Buffy’s house while telling her she has money problems and has to get a job: in order to appreciate the show the way you’re meant to, you just have to handwave away a lot of what the writers actually show happening.

“They totally have a crush on each other.” Her friend Jesy whispers, poking her arm. Marti, distracted, looks back at her with a questioning look. “Mr. Nelson and Mr. Spring. They totally have a crush on each other, don’t they?”
“They totally do.” Marti giggles. “I thought I was the only one who noticed that. (...) We should do something about it.” She pops her head up, leaning into Jesy’s shoulder to whisper quietly. At the friend’s confusion, she gestures with her head to the teachers, engrossed in a conversation inside their little bubble once again. “Try to get them together.”
“I’m not sure if meddling is a very good idea when we’re talking about our teachers.”
or
Martina can't help but notice the infatuated way her French teacher, Mr. Nelson, and her Music teacher, Mr. Spring, look at each other. The sparkles are definitely there and her idea is good, so she figures the meddling will be smooth and easy. She's right - it is easy... But not for the reason she thinks.

The Agent and the Fireman, Part 3
***
Marty Deeks sat down on the end of his bed, a business card that wore signs of being held multiple times in one hand and his cell in the other. He’d reached this point half a dozen times before, but been interrupted, or chickened out, every time.
Normally, he wasn’t shy about asking a woman out, but Kensi Blye did something different to him. She was blunt, fearless, funny, and absolutely gorgeous.
He smiled, remembering his initial shock, followed by amusement and finally admiration when she grilled him about calling. Even though her tone had been joking when she called him out, Deeks had a feeling he wouldn’t get another chance if he waited too much longer. Brushing his bangs from his eyes, Deeks thumbed in the number on the card.
***
Kensi got home, kicking off her shoes on the way and leaving a trail of clothes on her way to her bedroom. There, she she rooted around in the pile of clothes next to her bed until she found a reasonably clean shirt and tugged that on. After that, she collected a glass of water, a beer, and the pint of strawberry cheesecake ice cream from the kitchen, settling herself in front of the TV.
It had been an incredibly long, tiring, not to mention frustrating week. They’d finally pinned down the person stealing confidential information from multiple companies, as well as linked him to their two cases of arson. Kensi took his arrest personally after nearly burning to death.
Prying the lid off the tub of ice cream, Kensi settled in for a night of burgeoning supermodels and delicious carbs.
Her phone rang two and a half episodes on, and she picked up without looking.
“Nell, you had better not be interrupting my Tara Banks time with another case.”
“Hi, uh, it’s Deeks actually.”
Kensi’s eyes widened, words for escaping her for a second.
“You know, from LA fire department,” he added, like Kensi could forget the man who had literally carried her out of a burning building in his strong arms, like something out of a romance novel. “Please tell me this is the right number.”
“Yes, it is,” Kensi said quickly. “Sorry, I thought you were a coworker.”
Despite her teasing and pushing, she truly hadn’t expected him to call at this point. As though he could see her across the phone, she shoved the half-eaten carton of ice cream under the coffee table, and straightened her stained t-shirt.
“Thank god. That saves me the trouble of choosing a wrong number story.” He cleared his throat, and something in the background rustled. Kensi immediately pictured him laying down in bed, shifting among the covers.
Ok, get a grip, Kensi, she told herself before her imagination turned more inappropriate.
There was a extended pause, and even with the distance between them, she felt the tension grow.
“So, I believe you owe me a date,” Deeks said softly, the slight drawl sending unexpected warmth to Kensi’s cheeks.
“Um, if anyone owes a date, it’s you,” Kensi objected instinctively.
“I believe I saved your life, Agent Blye.”
“And I had to wait over a week for you to call me.”
Deeks chuckled, a throaty sound that Kensi was already a big fan of. “You make an excellent point. Alright, so Agent Blye, would you go out on a date with me next Saturday? World catastrophes notwithstanding.”
“Yes,” Kensi agreed without hesitation, and for once she didn’t even care. “And just for future reference, I like sushi, Mexican, and Korean food,” she added.
“Noted,” Deeks responded with a soft chuckled. “Alright, I’ll text you with the details.” He paused a beat. “I’ll let you get back to your important Top Model,” he teased.
Al Kensi got out with was a gasp of protest before Deeks signed off with a laugh filled goodbye.

A/N: Thanks for everyone who has expressed their enthusiasm for this story. I hope this less action filled chapter is still enjoyable.

I've been playing Wylde Flowers nonstop for the past two days and I just KNOW Hazel is gonna die as soon as I switch to summer so I'm just. Not doing it until I absolutely have to
She's so cool and sweet and I already lost both my grandmothers irl I fr can't take this shit! The mentorship situation with a shared talent feels like what I would've gotten from one of them too but she died too soon so I only really got to like,,, Have what little Tara did without the reunion and full initiation, only a bit of shared creation when I was really young before she got really sick and. Man, Tara and her life is actually so relatable to me even though she's mostly a fixed protagonist!
Given how uninterested I am in all of the LI, and from what I heard about him I bet I'm gonna love the werewolf man but first I'm going to marry and break up with literally everyone because I heard it's feasible and you get exclusives. Tbh Kim is the one I'm most into rn, they're really cool and sweet but I know they're bound to end up with Amira if they're both single so I'm just gonna date them both beforehand and then cheer them on. Honestly initially I wanted to go for Violet but I think it's mostly just because she kinda looks like my Stardew Valley wife Abigail lol. Also, to my surprise I'm kinda into Marty tbh, I can already see where they're going with him and I'm a big fan of that type of character but he's not an option either lol
Cameron gives off SUCH bad vibes I hate interacting with him tbh why the fuck is everyone just okay with joining his "exciting new religion" which is obviously just a creepy cult??? I'm like 90% sure Lina is the high priestess too, and seeing Parker falling for it is yet another reason why the witches should just stop hiding tbh. Also I think Amira and Violet are the cauldron witches (healer and potionmaker), the Farseer is either Bruno or Shelby (kinda leaning towards Shelby rn, he's being real cryptic but he was also talking about the moon so maybe he's some supernatural being?), and honestly there's literally no one else the last one could be other than Damon as they basically just have the same personality lol
Oh and also obviously fuck Otto!!!! It feels like there's gonna be an election during the game and honestly im so interested in seeing how that goes, like who's gonna run against him???I'm so curious about Vanessa too tbh, I'm like 50/50 about loving or hating her rn
