In the new Madoka trailer I noticed some of the digital runes that appear on screen actually use the English alphabet in an unusual font. The words I can spot are Wraith and it was pointed out to me that Legendär Bestie is German.

Witch Font collection Part 1 - Madoka Magica
This font collection was still in its infancy when i first started making it and i've come a long ass way since i first remade the few fonts i had and the ones that were lost.
Musical Font Runes is the only one i revectored to add new letters to it. the others were hand done by me or remade by hand.
I will be making more fonts in the future but for right now heres the handful of them i made.

Text in white with cyan outline. "I'm sorry..." in an Arial like font. "I promise to be Better next time" this is in a font called Special Elite. The text is on the left side of the image. To the right is Madoka in black and white from the Puella Magi Madoka Magica manga. Outlined in teal, she standing facing the left, hands clasped in prayer over her heart, eyes closed crying teal tears. The back ground is pink blue and green watercolor like clouds with white sparkles and heart shaped bubbles.

“I could only be grateful for the audience” Takarazuka Flower Troupe Top [Star] Yuzuka Rei-san Retirement Press Conference
(Source from Asahi)
Takarazuka Revue Flower Troupe Top [Star] Yuzuka Rei will retire next May and had her retirement press conference in Osaka city on 16th [of August]. "I truly want to express only gratitude to my fans. Whenever the time, I was able to share the time with the audience. [The audience] would always be supporting me warmly. Everyone's words, your presence and your applause and anything that I have received in that space [of the theatre]…"
Her intention of graduation came in February as she told the revue. The reason was "I was raised well in the Revue, and I received love from so many people, and since I've only known about Takarazuka Revue, and I am only thankful, and I also hope to stay that way [to know only about Takarazuka], but I want to meet myself from the outer world that I haven't known about yet."
Yuzuka-san started her debut stage in 2009, being one of the many stars in the "Glamorous 95th class". With her gorgeous stage presence, her beautiful and dominant dance, an acting with depth and sexiness, she radiates a unique existence.
Born in Tokyo City. Raised as a "Hanaotoko" in Flower Troupe. Being the lead role for 3 newcomers' performances, she has garnered attention since she was a lowerclassman.
She became the Top Star in November 2019, but was met with the coronavirus the next year. Her grand theatre Top (Star) debut performance "Haikara-san ga Tooru" was suspended and they had a period of frustrating days to wait until it was finally opened 4 months later.
Despite those situations, she would encourage the Flower Troupe companions one by one to bring their unique colours to their roles, delivering stages that would motivate fans with energy.
Her vibrant dancing as a beast image in the revue "Cool Beast!!" The bright "Genroku Baroque Rock", the graceful and powerful dancing in "TOP HAT", her premiere of playing piano in "Years of Pilgrimage~The Wandering Soul of Ferenc Liszt". And also this year, playing as the sorrowful Crown Prince Rudolf in "Mayerling", the cute "Singing Lovebirds" with a exquisite Japanese style.
She is a Top Star who shared font trust in the Flower Troupe companions and got together with them through the difficulties. She was a Top Star that was always so warm when she gave the speeches warmly and sincerely for the Senshuuraku.
Her partner Top Musumeyaku Hoshikaze Madoka-san will retire with her together.
Her graduation performance is "Arc en Ciel ~The Rainbow over Paris~", a new production written by Koike Shuuichirou-san. February 9 to March 24 at the Takarazuka Grand Theatre and from April 13 to May 26 at the Tokyo Takarazuka Theatre.

As of currently, this blog is not planned to sell food, but it will be buying food from OFA blogs and otherwise interacting with them.
As a disclaimer, this blog and the character Orikiri has nothing to do with the Madoka Magica ship also called Orikiri or Madoka Magica in general.
Orikiri and Friends
"But wait! Who's Orikiri, and who are her friends?" I hear you cry. Fret not, for here is a handy (and very long) list of everyone's names and text colors for your own convenience!

i still have other accessibility stuff i need to put in, i need to figure out how to make the font sizes work on mobile again (they broke in the last updates and idk why..... they broke before i upgraded the engine so it's not an engine thing, and i've always had a hard time with them idk how i made them work at all for mobile >.<)
i also want to add in a toggle for fast moving and disorienting images, so the speeding lines, spinning rainbow in the group cg (i already have a static version in the game i need to code that in), the full screen blurring/wobbling, and screenhshake as well (like when characters yell and stuff and i make the screen shift quickly for emphasis?) I have a code for it it came with some of the other options i put in but i didnt figure out how to work it yet lol
And I'll probably put in a link for the warnings in the game as well. stuff like just cutting out scary elements isn't really doable like some of this is just straight up The Plot Of The Story like theyre fighting monsters, characters almost die lmao? but i can still just put in the warnings lmao
and i think since a lot of ppl have this idea that girly media and magical girls are always suppper fairies and sugar and no sadness all the time unless its a madoka type thing, and they get easily surprised and don't expect scary elements <:)

Honestly I don't know if it was Madoka that's made recent kids' shows darker (well, maybe it did for SU? idk). At first I thought it was more due to Gravity Falls and/or Adventure Time because I know those shows get really dark later on. Oddly enough even though there are shows I've seen that are much darker than Steven Universe for some reason it's only Steven that feels like Madoka again. Like sure with some other shows I'm like "oh holy crap thats fucked up" but with Steven?Straightup Madoka.
It's complicated, but I think I can give my 2 cents on the matter...
While MadoMagi did certainly contribuited to the popularization of Tragical Girls (Raising Project, Yuki Yuna, Magical Girl Site, Daybreak Illusion and SpecOps Asuka), it didn't got people thinking about how fucked up it is to rely on minors to do the dirty work and clean up the adults' messes.
I mean, nothing has changed; I still keep seeing children/teenagers getting into the most traumatic experiences ever. BNHA, JJK, and KnY, for example, are high-grossing shounen series with teenaged MCs witnessing the most horrendous shit ever, and actively have their joy and energy sucked right out of their bodies in the process.
As for Steven Universe, well, I wouldn't say it's "straight up Madoka", despite the similarities that they may share. At first, it was marketed as some spiritual successor to famous series such as Sailor Moon and DragonBall, having the strong potential of going down as one of the most memorable cartoons in TV history with its heroines with diverse body types and actual queer relationships...
...but the truth is way more complicated than that.
You see, Steven Universe is one of those series that didn't knew which demographic to be aimed at. It wanted to be child-friendly with SatAm-esque scenarios and a Monster-of-the-Day/Week routine, but it wanted to be serious and appeal to older audiences with the Gem War, the Diamond Authority, the Cluster, etc...
The staff was amateurish and black-and-white in their approach of nuanced themes, not to mention the irresponsibility and laziness with the amount of fillers and hiatuses. They have bitten more than they could chew, and all became one big neo-liberalistic mess in the end. Steven Universe was more worried about looking visually good than actually telling a good story.
Meanwhile Madoka just straight up lied to its audience. They have used the Magical Girl genre as bait to get a public to watch their anime. I mean, the title is written in a curvy and cutesy font...
Tumblr media
And its main heroines are constantly marketed as a team and are always looking as if they were besties (emulating the likes of the Inner Senshi)...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...except that Homura was indifferent to anyone who wasn't Madoka, Mami was devoured right after her debut (and became the target of a 10 year joke that's no longer funny), Kyouko was territorial and aggressive to Sayaka on their first meeting (and both girls became shipping fodder despite having the worst first impression ever), Sayaka was treated like a guinea pig to show the audience how Witches were born, Madoka ascends to Nirvana and stops existing, and Homura becomes a test subject and attempts suicide and becomes a yandere when her plan fails.
Oh, and let's not forget the alternative timeline where Mami loses her composure and kills Kyouko after witnessing Sayaka become Oktavia, and is then killed by Madoka before she could do the same to Homura.
And when these girls are FINALLY seen working together, it's later revealed to be all a fabricated lie.
So much for friendship.
Anyways, so long story short: Steven Universe was highly ambitious in theory, but utterly incompetent in practice. Madoka Magica actively lied to the public with their façade of cuteness and frills. Even though they have their places in pop culture, we must also acknowledge that their executions were made in really bad taste.

You go limp like a rag doll as your consciousness is shunted into cyberspace.
You're still vaguely aware of yourself and your surroundings, the heat of the stasis gel sinking into your bones.
The whir and hum of machinery.
Slowly
Slowly…
They fade away into the background until it's just you, just your thoughts loose in a sea of ones and zeroes.
You're met with the standard warning screen that comes with basically all video games of any persuasion, and you swiftly ignore it as is your habit.
The game loads in pretty much immediately afterwards, no dev logos or extra fluff or anything.
"Ursumbra Online" fades in, written in big bright bubble letters with different colored patches held on by stitching; the "online" bit is written in a more pixelated font on a piece of masking tape slapped (almost haphazardly) onto the bottom of "Ursumbra".
The title screen is unassuming, a cardboard and craft supplies collage like Yoshi's Crafted World.
Soft and childish.
It reminds you of Doki Doki Literature Club and Madoka Magica.
That specific brand of soft pastels and cuteness laid thin over something dark and vaguely traumatizing.
Like flower petals over a spike pit.
You're prompted to make a new account, and you do without hesitation.
Wait for the verification email, punch in the code.
Bing, bang, boom.
You're in.
A disclaimer pops up next and physically forces you to read it (see: scroll to the bottom as fast as you can) before you're allowed to progress any further.
It's charming the way the different sections of the UI drop down on colorful strings or pop up on popsicle sticks.
For a moment you think that there's no way this game could be tied to what's going on past sheer coincidence.
There's a meter at the top of your screen, detailing the process you must follow before you're allowed to enter the game.
The boring stuff is behind you already.
Account creation.
TOS agreements.
Disclaimers.
Sensory input calibration (that tickled).
Now comes the fun part, character creation.
You are presented with two choices, to make your own character completely from scratch.
Or to use an avatar created from biometric scan.
The game pitches the scan to you as "a way to show your true self in Ursumbra and make your play through truly unique and personal!"
… your play through would be unique and personal regardless of what avatar you chose, cuz that's how MMO games work.
Curiosity creeps into the back of your mind like smoke through an open window, and you feel some invisible string around your throat tug you towards the biometric option.
"If you don't like it, you can always make one from scratch." Says a slippery little voice in the back of your mind.
You click OK and the display turns black for a bit before cartoonish laser grids scan you up and down while goofy beeping noises play.
Your skull itches from the inside, and the entire program seems to rattle and buffer as a child's drawing pad drops down from up high on a piece of brightly colored string.
A red crayon rolls out of the gloom and floats up to meet the pad, slowly it scribbles and sketches and erases until it finally seems satisfied with what it's drawn.
On the paper is a black rabbit with big dark eyes, nubby little horns, sharp claws, and little fangs.
A devil's tail curls towards the edge of the paper.
A piece of cardboard pops out of the gloom, taped to a popsicle stick and smothered in stickers.
"Are you happy with this avatar?" It reads.
You press "ok" before you can really think about it and all the craft supplies drop into the void without a word.
A mirror appears next, rising out of the blackness and cradled in dozens of inky hands.
In the mirror is a shape.
White cotton fluff condensed into the vague shape of a teddy bear without skin.
Skeins of fabric drop from above and behind you like curtains on a stage.
Scissors and needles merrily dance around you, trailing ribbons and thread.
Snip snip.
Stitch stitch.
You watch as your fabric skin is cut and sewn around you.
A chest of buttons and bobs appears and two dark eyes fly from its clattering depths, smacking full force into your face where they stay.
You blink in surprise, batting huge feathery lashes that weren't in the original sketch.
Shiny sharp claws sprout from the tips of your paws.
A tail is pinned to your rear
And the tips of the scissors glide across your face to give you your mouth, somehow already toothy and grinning.
You know this is just a cutscene but… it makes you feel giddy.
Makes you feel NEW.
A silver pocket watch is tucked into the fluff of your chest, just before the last few stitches make you whole.
The process is complete.
You get a moment to check yourself out in the mirror before the floor drops out beneath you and plummet into the abyss.
The mirror waves a solemn goodbye as it shrinks into the distance.
