A girl who lives a privileged yet completely dull life. After making her wish, she finds the adrenaline rush from both seedy parties and witch hunting to be addicting. She is the heir to a large family fortune but finds such an occupation to be boring. She hates anything that bores her.

BACKSTORY

Ever since she was young, Otsuyu was raised in the lap of luxury. Anything she wanted - be it toys or sweets, was hers almost immediately. But after a while, she got bored and more bored of her life. She faced no struggle at all. Nothing stimulating happening and she was simply coasting through life.

When Kyubey approached her, she immediately wished to know true excitement. That night on her walk home, she found herself attracted to a dark pub. She immediately found herself dancing, conversing, and even singing karaoke. She found it truly exciting. And on her first witch hunt, she got a taste of the adrenaline of the hunt and she was hooked.

She spent the next months parting or witch hunting. Seeking even more excitement, she faked her age to enter the pub as a hostess. She would would spend even more time in the pub, listening to her client’s stories and serving up alcohol. She began to see life as a game, and began to indulge in dangerous activities such as defeating a witch with a cloudy soul gem, fighting other magical girls blindfolded, it didn’t matter. She adored the excitement.

She became a witch when she became too wrapped up in the excitement and her challenges became too dangerous. She became a witch who still seeks out excitement and pleasure.

WITCH DESCRIPTION

CECIL

The witch of elegance. Her nature is debauchery. A hedonistic witch with a desire for excitement and pleasure. It does not matter what she indulges in, as long as it gives her an adrenaline rush. If she finds a magical girl, she will immediately fight them, seeking out the excitement of battle. Holding the ability to manipulate blood, she is able to utilize her wounds as extra limbs and weapons. Staying in her domain for too long can illcit feelings of drunkenness. She once possessed refined beauty, but discarded it long ago. Only those who exercise restraint can successfully defeat her.

ENNUI

The minions of the witch of elegance. Their duty is to upkeep the party. Within their witches’ barrier exists an eternal party for the witch to enjoy. These minions fuel the party with the life force of their victims by using their lips to suck the soul out of anyone who gets too close. When they die, more appear in their place.

Doppel Description

“Entertain me!”

The doppel of debauchery. It takes the form of elegance. The master of this emotion is incredibly hedonistic, looking to maximize her pleasure. Likewise, the doppel happily bounces around the battlefield, looking for anything that can entertain it. This ranges from television screens to ongoing battles. Those caught in it’s way are sent into the spirit world, never to be seen again and the saliva it drools out can curse one into a state of permanent drunkenness. The doppel doesn’t remember almost anything about it’s victims, but is does remember their taste.

french (creole) in the 1700s, has a crazy Ultra-Catholic brother that he builds a cathedral for on his property out of love, in which he gets turned i to a vampire after setting the place on fire in a drunken stupor because he was sooo damp lestat (insane vampire, also catholic but also not, it's complictaed) just couldn't resist, fire motif continues (he burns a lot of places to the ground, fire kills vampires, etc); denies himself human blood not because killing is wrong but because drinking human blood is a pleasurable experience (drinking blood is also how vampires have sex, so take this how you will), finds himself baby trapped in a toxic patriarchal nuclear family setting with lestat (not exclusive to catholics ofc but, come on) louis would not identify as catholic/religious but literally everything he does comes down to his immense catholic guilt complex and he believed genuinely for a very long time that he was going to hell for existing as a vampire (it's a metaphor)

episode 1 he has a whole breakdown in a confession booth about pimping, drinking, gay sex, etc. then his priest gets immediately murdered by a vampire and he then agrees to be turned by that vampire and to marry him (in his defense lestat is VERY dreamy) and keeps doing the same shit and worse but feeling extreme guilt about everything constantly. he keeps this up for 144 years and counting

He battles with faith so hard dude he spends like half his book being Catholically Guilty for his vampirism. It slaps

she literally watches everyone she knows die over and over and over again just so she can save madoka, the one girl who showed kindness towards her. when madoka ends up basically becoming god in order to stop the cycle of death and violence, homura RIPS AWAY THE HUMAN PART OF HER SOUL so that she can create a world where she and Madoka and their friends can live happily, effectively becoming the devil to madoka's god

She has so much religious symbolism when it comes to her relationship to Madoka. Madoka is God and Homura becomes Lucifer so that she can save Madoka and give her happiness. She literally rips God from heaven and rewrites reality though. The way she sees her self and shapes reality is through the lense of Catholicism.

Okay homuras entire fuckin arc is stemmed from the fact she is Catholic. Look at her trying to save Madoka over and over again and suffering for it because she thinks if she suffers enough and works hard enough Madoka will stay. Normal people do not go into time loops willingly. Catholics will.

Witch: Prologue

A cheery and enthusiastic girl, able to light the room up with a simple smile. She always wears a smile on her face and has a large following of friends and is very popular in her school.

BACKSTORY

A gloomy and down trodden student. She spent all her days alone and desired the company of friends. She would look at the most popular girl in school; Jane with envy. She seemingly did nothing, but managed to attract the attention of people around her.

When this student was approached by Kyubey, she impulsively wished to be Jane. And the next day, she woke up as Jane. It was like she never existed in the first place. No tears were shed upon her disappearance.

Over time however, she began to truly realize what she did. She also erased the existence of the true Jane.

In regret of her actions, she began to act like a perfect version of Jane. She made sure all her connections were strong, and made sure she always feigned happiness. She could feel her heart slowly decaying from the amount of stress put upon it as she tries to resolve everything she comes across.

She began to envy her past self, able to act as she pleases. She envied the freedom the other students had to be themselves. But she couldn’t afford to slip up. She murdered the true Jane, and this is her punishment. When she finally reached her limit and wasn’t able to defeat witches, she became a witch.

Witch Description

PROLOGUE

The bookmobile witch. Her nature is envy. Travelling within an old bookmobile, this witch gorges herself on jealously and spite. She is well aware of the grand forms other witches possess and is painfully aware of her plain and simple existence. She targets people who she believes is radiant, and seeks to devour them whole and assimilate them into her body in the futile effort to become as grand as a whale.

EPILOGUE

The familiars of the bookmobile witch. Their duty is to be friends together. Paper dolls that link together to create rings of best friends. They sing and dance happily much to the witch’s annoyance. They don’t seem to notice the witch, and generally disregard her existence.

Doppel Description

“I guess this is my punishment…”

The doppel of green-eyed envy. It takes the form of a bookmobile. This doppel is a direct manifestation of the master’s deep envy. It despises the attention everyone else gets and will mercilessly devour anything it views as stealing attention from it. The master on the other hand loathes this doppel, viewing it as something so uniquely hers, it’s disgusting. It’s well aware of it’s much more pitiful appearance and will try to devour other doppels to take on their attention via morphing into a shoddy copy of it.
