Les Petites Sœurs Disciples de l’Agneau, or The Little Sisters Disciples of the Lamb, was founded by the “joining of two vocations,” Mother Line told CNA in a translated interview.

In 1985, a young woman with Down syndrome — Sister Veronica — met Mother Line. Sister Veronica had already received her vocational calling to become a nun but had been turned away by several religious communities.

Mother Line recognized Sister Veronica’s call to become a nun, so the two began living together — hoping that other young women with Down syndrome who felt a call to religious life would join the community.

Mother Line said that at the time, the Church and religious communities did not understand “how a person with Down syndrome could have a call from God” to join religious life.

But Mother Line, who had studied psychology and taught the Catechism for many years, saw that the people she worked with who had Down syndrome were “very spiritually inclined.”

As time went on, more women with Down syndrome joined the community, and the Church saw the need for its existence.

In 1999, the Little Sisters was established as an official religious institute of contemplative life by the archbishop of Bourges, Pierre Plateau.

By 1995, the community moved to Le Blanc, in the Indre region of France, where the sisters reside now. Today, seven sisters with Down syndrome live alongside Mother Line and Sister Florence, where they fulfill their vocations together.

I would just like some clarification if you can help! I see you post excerpts from the web novel and say uncensored on them. Does the web novel follow the books with extra info or are they the same? What is the difference between the two?

There is a lot of new content in practically 80% of the novel revised version, right? In the uncensored version there are only the scenes that were actually censored. Some new content in the revised version:

Characters like Lang Ying (the ghost child) and Prince An Le were cut.

Xiao Ying recognizes Xie Lian and calls him "prince" before she dies, so I have a theory that she replaced Lang Ying's role (I haven't finished reading it yet).

Xie Lian chose Lang Qianqiu as a disciple to protect him from Qi Rong, who chased and haunted him when he was a child. As for the Gilded Banquet massacre, Xie Lian knew that it was Qi Rong's work, and at the time, he suppressed him.

Xie Lian cannot enter the Xianle Imperial Mausoleum because the place's enchantment recognizes Xie Lian as the prince who destroyed Xianle.

Xie Lian's feelings towards Hua Cheng are also much more intense, in the Ganbler's Den arc, for example, their interaction is hotter than in the original, with lines like Xie Lian asking Hua Cheng to spend a night with him and Hua Cheng replying that "it would be my first time".

In the Qi Rong arc, Hua Cheng doesn't take Xie Lian straight to his lair, but rather takes him to wander around different cities for days under the pretext that he needed Xie Lian's help with something. It's in this new content that we have Hua Cheng competing for a golden flower and, upon winning, he gives the flower to Xie Lian.

Mu Qing appears to be much more concerned about Xie Lian as well, he's always teaming up with Feng Xin to help and protect him. When Hua Cheng "kidnaps" Xie Lian, for example, in the original the only one who appears together with Shi Qingxuan is Feng Xin, in this version he, together with Mu Qing, ask for Shi Qingxuan's help disguised as Nan Feng and Fu Yao to find he.

Jun Wu's influence is also sharper. For example, his influence on Ling Wen is more apparent than in the original, with her always saying that he's good and fair and that he is "someone who forgives easily", always trying to convince Xie Lian that everything will work out for him cause the final decisions are in Jun Wu's hands.

The censored version cuts kissing scenes and other hot scenes, while the uncensored version has more freedom, although it's still a little censored. In the Mount Tonglu arc, for example, in the uncensored version, Hua Cheng is practically touching Xie Lian's entire body, while Xie Lian cries during the kiss.

The audio drama even adapts this revised version, so if you've seen any scene from the ad, or are following the updates, know that it's the same.

I've been thinking a lot lately about fandom's penchant to take male characters who are funny and/or chaotic, or perhaps might be known for throwing a good punch, and then create fanon in which said character is stupid/constantly does stupid stuff. I'm particularly thinking currently about Quinlan Vos, but this is by no means unique to Star Wars fandom. There was a period there in Les Mis fandom during which the Broification of Bahorel was a thing. It happened to Caleb Brewster in TURN fandom. Sometimes Zeb in Rebels fandom (which, Star Wars again, but different part of the fandom). It happens A LOT. And like, just because a character is funny, chaotic, or has a penchant for a brawl, it doesn't mean that they're stupid?? I don't understand why this is such a trend.

Back to Quinlan, specifically. I follow the Quinlan tag. I follow the QuinObi tag and the things I have to see where Quinlan is just?? Dumb?? All the time??? Extremely not sure what about his sarcastic sense of humor and chaotic plans (that work! He has a plan in the new comic that is objectively hilarious and also EFFECTIVE) gave anyone the impression that he was stupid, but I see?? So much of it?? He's?? A spy?? A Jedi Master?? He's a really GOOD spy, as a matter of fact. He goes undercover a lot. He IS funny and he IS chaotic but that doesn't mean he isn't smart! Sometimes characters like this also might use humor as a shield, which can be a super intriguing thing! Quinlan in the comics definitely (in my opinion at least) does this, and he does it in Dark Disciple too. His psychometry can be a traumatic kind of power, and he has to get closer to temptations around the dark side a lot more than other Jedi, and that is something he struggles with while being such a good person even when he falls and has to get back up again.

Anyway, Quinlan is a really compelling character with a lot of facets to his personality. He IS funny (I am often writing him being funny!) but he's not JUST there to be comic relief. He has his own things and his own arcs. There is some truly great Quin fanwork out there! Maybe it's the incorrect quotes getting to me, but I hope the trend of making him stupid will end, because he deserves better.

We doubt that his challenge will will be accepted, and that this kind of "compared portraits" will ever make the fortune of any artist. The witty author of the Private Life of Animals believes nonetheless to owe some part of his success to this secret that he tells us today. But the knowledge of such secrets is of little use to disciples if their master does not give them, as they say, the manner to use them.
