#link click #lu guang #cheng xiaoshi #i knew last episode ended too much on a happy tone #so we're up for angst #since the start of s2 they showed how Cheng is tempted to change the past #and i expected something to happen to Lu that would push him past the boundaries #I'm afraid that tinkering with the timeline drains your life power or if you try to undo a death it will turn on you #the person destind to die will still die #but the person trying to save them will be punished #that would be the ultimate bad end #please dont let it happen

im just realizing. lu guang changes the future to save cheng xiaoshi. liu xiao (liu mins brother) mentions that "[he] wants to bring more parallel lines together. to turn all uncertainties into certainties".

in their original timeline, cheng xiao shi dies. thats a gurantee, that lu guang goes back in time to change. we dont know how many times hes tried to do this, but its probably been a few tries at least, and this, our canon, was the first time he succeeded. meaning, cheng xiao shi was meant to die in all the other timelines.

because lu guang changed the future, he doesnt know whats going to happen next. ie, uncertainties.

so, potentially, liu xiao knows that cheng xiao shi shouldnt be alive. and just about almost every relevant character to the plot has some form of special ability. i would believe that liu xiao somehow can detect changes in the timeline, or has access to the memories of his other selves in other timelines.

and, potentially, hes going to do something to "turn" the uncertainty that is cxs being alive into a certainty.

Okay so for me

"He's like an old man" is because he is much older than them

The fact his hair is white isn't quirky character design but related to him using his power

The fact his eyes have slit pupils is not just character design but related to his power (i swear there's a moment of his pupils becoming slits but i cant find it)

and my big question

Is Lu Guang changing the past so Cheng Xiaoshi doesn't die, is he delaying the deadline of Cheng Xiaoshi's death, or is he just looping the same period of time to see Cheng Xiaoshi?

Personally I dont think it's the first one because he seems very set that death isn't something you can overwrite made clear by his reaction to when Cheng NEARLY saved Emma, but that reaction could be recontextualized with more information

General Opinion: YOSANO AKIKO!! I LOVE YOU!! i actually didnt care much for her at all until season 4 and her backstory (dare i say best one in bsd) was shown. then i was like WOAV. and she rose up my ranking so fast. i love that shes KIND and a protector and not afraid to be fierce, and i also love that she cherishes life so much. youd think being able to bring life back so easily means she’d disregard it more but NO! gestures to her fight with kajii. i think she deserves the freaking WORLD shes my everything <33

SO MUCH EMPATHY. and of course that could be because of his powers but i also think that it’s because cxs is HIMSELF. yes he has access to the person’s feelings and memories, but not everyone can really put themselves in other peoples shoes so easily you know? they could feel it, but cxs understands it. id destroy worlds for him haha…

and that ending!!!!!!! waghgg i have so many questions. so is lu guang really repeating everything to save cheng xiaoshi?? how would cheng xiaoshi die? how far in time did lu guang go to save him? what are his true powers?? and how does people get powers in the first place? we saw they can be transferred from one person to another but apart from qiao ling i dont think thats the case for the rest.... i also really wanna know more abt lu guang everything abt him is so mysterious but ig we will know more on the next season as things seem to be..... i cant waittttt
