oh boy, isn’t today just a wonderful day for my tablet to just not work correctly! fun stuff!

shockingly the new f*lm theory video about dhmis isn't that bad. it's just. an extremely basic recitation of the "yellow is based on lesley's dead son" theory.

i don't even object to that theory much i think it makes sense. but the vid doesn't even explore the interesting questions that said theory raises like "what the hell are the other two then" and "what IS lesley" bc she certainly isn't human (even if you think she once was)

but besides those gripes here's my only true Hard Disagree: i do think the show will end with a hug, but he thinks that the hug will be between yellow and lesley. no. the hug will be between the three students. i will not explain and i will not budge

i don't know if you're familiar with little mix but i was a huge lm and 1d fan back in the day and every time even today i listen to a little mix song and then one direction it surprises me that the line distribution was pretty much non existent. little mix songs are so evenly distributed. their solos, screentimes in music videos etc. louis saying that producers tricked him and gave more solos to harry reminded me of perrie. they persuaded her to be the leader, the lead singer, allegedly offered a solo deal. but she said no, we're group and we're all equals. there's a vid of a x factor judge saying "perrie's the best singer in this band" and she's shaking her head like no ❤ anyways tldr what i am trying to say is that if perrie (in a similar situation; x factor band, around the same age, the same record label etc) could simply not hog her bandmates' spotlight and uplift them and stand up with them, harry could have too (and camila cabello too but that's another story lol). i think it's about who you are as a person tbh

and EVEN IF we accepted this idea of harry having no choice in 1d then what about after? when he's best friends with his manager and sonys ceo? why couldn't he support louis and the others after? especially considering how much it would have helped louis' credibility to have his support?

and all these questions can be answered pretty easily: the only person he cares about is himself, he was never interested in equal opportunities like perrie and he certainly would never support anyone unless it benefits him directly

Who’s LM in your DSMP Mafia AU fic? Ive been scratching my head trying to figure out if they’re a streamer I haven’t heard of or if it’s an abreviation for someone not revealed yet haha

Okay so, *digs toe of shoe into dirt sheepishly* so the worldbuilding on the mafia au is KIND of fast and loose when it comes to connection to canon— I started with Mafia badlands but then I needed more people so I just started adding more people and then I needed a slimy boss and I was like "you know who I've seen be slimy in vids" and y'know. We're not really directly tied to canon now. Velvet is also there. But bearing in mind that I reserve the right to change this, mafia au is very much "things get canonized when I put them on the page", LM is L'Manberg education, as the general group that's— the other guys in canon. Tubbo is class president (everybody else got sick and didn't show up for the debates and Principle Wilbur Soot just assigned him president).

the ONO livestream will get uploaded by someone on youtube at some point right? like not exactly uhh legally but it'll be there on youtube later I hope? because it's kinda expensive for me in my country and I'm sort of broke right now 😅 I hope it's not like that Apple Music youngblood docu, that one never got uploaded anywhere else 🥺

I'd say there's a good chance but it's probably going to be a matter of how stringent their label/that platform is about getting videos pulled for copyright. I've only used that service, Dreamstage, once before to watch the final Little Mix concert and I didn't check specifically but it appeared to be just a basic video player, without any overt safeguards against screen recording. However, in the months since that concert, I can't say that I've seen an abundance of vids of the stream (and always individual songs, never the full thing?) but LM's team is notorious for safeguarding their copyright so 🤷🏻‍♀️
