The Walt Disney Company Leads Nominations On Animation & Puppetry On  Inaugural Children & Family Programming Emmy Awards.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences  on Tuesday morning announced the nominations for the first annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards, which will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 10 (Creative Arts) and Sunday, Dec. 11 at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles.

The Walt Disney Company lead the pack of the ceremony with over 38 nominations with 12 in Animation & 22 in Live Action and 4 with Puppetry across their multiple studios 20th Television,Disney Television Animation,Walt Disney Animation Studios Vancouver,Pixar Television Animation Studios,Disney Junior Educational Resource Group,Lucasfilm Animation & The Muppets Studio.

Disney+ Sets Relaxing Vacations With LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation Coming August 5th.

At Star Wars Celebration, LEGO announced a brand new animated original special called “LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation”, which will be streaming on Disney+ on Friday August 5th.

Summer Vacation takes place after Star Wars Episode 9, and sees Rose, Rey, Finn, Poe, and Chewbacca taking a vacation after defeating Emperor Palpatine. They'll discover throughout the special that a number of other Star Wars characters in history have also tried to take vacations...which hasn't always gone well for them. And of course there will be a couple of musical numbers.

A whole roster of Star Wars favorites will make appearances during the special, including C-3PO, Lando, Boba Fett, Rey, Poe, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Rose, Jabba the Hutt, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, Finn, Han Solo, Leia, and Palpatine. We'll also see LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures characters Wick Cooper and Valeria return. 

The Special Is Directed by Ken Cunningham (The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, LEGO Star Wars: Terryfing Tales)

The Special also features guest apperances by Yvette Nicole Brown and Weird Al" Yankovic as Vic Vankoh

The Special is produced by LucasFilm Animation in association with LEGO Group

Lucasfilm Animation Sets Lego Star Wars Halloween Special: Star Wars Terryfing Tales For Disney+

Disney+ debuted key art and announced the cast for LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales, which premieres October 1 as a part of Disney+’s Hallowstream celebration. The all-new animated special continues the rich legacy of collaboration between Lucasfilm and the LEGO brand and is a seasonal celebration of the villainous dark side of the Star Wars galaxy — just in time for Halloween.

After the events of The Rise of Skywalker, Poe and BB-8 must make an emergency landing on the volcanic planet Mustafar where they meet the greedy and conniving Graballa the Hutt who has purchased Darth Vader’s castle and is renovating it into the galaxy’s first all-inclusive Sith-inspired luxury hotel. While waiting for his X-Wing to be repaired, Poe, BB-8, Graballa and Dean (a plucky and courageous young boy who works as Graballa’s mechanic) venture deep into the mysterious castle with Vader’s loyal servant, Vaneé. Along the way, Vaneé shares three creepy stories linked to ancient artifacts and iconic villains from across all eras of Star Wars. As Vaneé spins his tales and lures our heroes deeper into the shadowy underbelly of the castle, a sinister plan emerges. With the help of Dean, Poe and BB-8 will have to face their fears, stop an ancient evil from rising, and escape to make it back to their friends.

LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales features a talented voice cast that includes Jake Green as Poe Dameron, Raphael Alejandro as Dean, Dana Snyder as Graballa the Hutt, Tony Hale as Vaneé, Christian Slater as Ren, Trevor Devall as Emperor Palpatine, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as NI-L8 and Matt Sloan as Darth Vader.

David Shayne is writer and executive producer, and the director is Ken Cunningham. James Waugh, Josh Rimes, Jacqui Lopez, Jill Wilfert, Keith Malone and Jason Cosler are executive producers. From Lucasfilm and The LEGO Group, LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales is produced in collaboration with Atomic Cartoons.
