If you never take a shot, how will you ever win?🎱⁣ ⁣ Playing a mini-pool game left Bubs excited and a bit frustrated. There was a lot of new things for him to learn - how to hold the cue stick, which ball to hit, moving around the table - it was a bit overwhelming. At one point he wanted to give up and not finish the game. ⁣ ⁣ I sometimes feel (and do) the same thing. Sometimes life gets really hard. With work, school, kids, friends... It can become totally overwhelming and I feel like throwing in the towel and moving to remote island somewhere with my family. 🏝️⁣ ⁣ But I have to remind my kid (and myself!) that if you never try, if you never take a shot, you will never know how much you could achieve. Canoeing with kids 🚣😅 ... The kids had a blast canoeing with daddy today. It was their first time in a canoe and so water safety rules were a must to review with the kids. Bubs went first (as we only have one child life jacket) and baby girl had a crying fit when she realized she couldn't go too. She only stopped when she was finally able to plant her little bottom in the canoe 🤣 It was amazing to see how brave both kids were getting in the canoe and being out on the water. Bubs held on tight and didn't move an inch, but baby girl did try to get up at one point. One firm word from the hubs (and a lot of rocking) made her understand that standing up in a canoe is not an option 🤪 I have to admit, as a kid I didn't really like canoeing as my older sister would always rock the boat and I was afraid of falling in, so I'm so glad to see both kids loving the experience.
