Au I made when in a ghostbuster discord that I never shared on tumblr :
In a casting for a planned sequel of ghostbusters, they were going to have Charlie day play a grown up Oscar. Also bc bill Murray refused to be in any ghostbuster sequel after the second one they were going to just flat out kill off his character and Oscar was going to take on the mantle of Peter Venkman.
So with this information I made an au where Oscar is now apart of the ghostbusters with ray, egon, and Winston after peters death. it’s just he’s the same character as Charlie from always sunny in Philadelphia.
Ray: Oscar can't read
Egon: he'll adapt
Ray: HE'LL ADAPT TO READING?!
Oscar: I'll count how much gas is going into the car
Egon: let me stop you right there, how exactly are you planning on counting a liquid?
Oscar: uhhh I know how to count I'm not an idiot
Egon: OKAY YOU DO IT RAY BECAUSE I CANT SPEAK TO HIM
Oscar: Look at that door, uncle ray. See that door right there? The one marked 'pirate"? Do you think a pirate lives in there?
Ray: you know that says private right?
Oscar:..

FICTIONAL CHARACTER ASK: WINSTON ZEDDEMORE
@spengnitzed @bixiebeet @angelixgutz @themousefromfantasyland @amalthea9 @thealmightyemprex @goodanswerfoxmonster @stantzed
@the-blue-fairie
Favorite Thing About Them: I like that fact that while he is meant to be an audience surrogate, at least in the first movie this was not used as an excuse to make him boring, but instead he felt like a real person with motivations and a personality: he is a down on his luck working class man who is intrigued by this booming Ghostbusters business who decides to become a new team member in search of a good job to survive, quickly believes what he sees and learns how to handle the new technology, becomes good friends with the other Ghostbusters, specially Ray, and starts to make reflexions about his faith as a christian the more he comes into contact with supernatural incidents, wich is a source of strenght and confidence when he goes to face Gozer and thinks that he may die at any moment.
Later, in the animated series The Real Ghostbusters and the IDW licensed comics, we learned new aspects of Winston’s character that made him a more palpable person: He loves baseball, is a huge enthusiast of mystery novels to the point that this becomes an advantage when he needs to investigate a new ghost activity, would sometimes go to save the day on his own, and even fell in love and got married!
Least Favorite Thing About Them: The fact that his role was reduced to “pawn that is there” when the sequel Ghostbusters 2 was made, rather than the writers taking advantage of making a sequel to further develop his character.
Three Things I Have In Common With Them:
* I have black heritage;
* I am curious;
* I also resource to fictional literature for information;
Three Things I Don’t Have In Common With Them:
* Unlike many portrayals of his character, I never did military service;
* I’m not US american;
* I would be way more pedantic in differentiate between a summerian and a babylonian deity;
Favorite Line:
From the July 1983 Script Draft:
“I’d like to see Dr. Venkman.”
“I saw your ad in the paper. You know, for a security man.”
“... after ECM school at Kelly Air Force Base in Texas I flew for S.A.C Command at Reese as an Electronic Warfare Officer. After the service I was head of Installations for Sentry Alarm Systems in Los Angeles, then I moved up to V.P. at their Pacific headquarters. Then some partners and I started our own optic beam manufacturing operation, but we got wiped out in the microlens flood of ‘82.”
“I have a ninth degree black belt in Wing Chun boxing. I have a Class 3 Federal firearm’s license and I have permits to carry anywhere in the continental United States. What kind of risk are you talking about?”
“Brave man.”
“Okay, now you could have three aces because you already had two and you got one out of your sleeve. But I’m not sure which card you took out of your shoe before.”
“I’m willing to take your word on this, Ray, because I respect you. But if we ever really do see the kind of stuff you’re talking about, I’m counting on you. I know these guys are your friends, but...”
“This bites it, man. We’re running out of ways to kill time.”
“Zeddemore. Z-E-D-D-E-”
“What’d you get?”
 “You guys look like shit.”
“Forget it, man! The phone’s been ringing off the hook.”
“Neutronize. System shut.”
“I have to get some sleep, man. I worked all night last night.”
“I can’t look anymore. It’s too depressing. What are they doing here anyway? I tought when you die you see a beautifull white light and pass trough it to the other side.”
“What’s the Tunguska Blast?”
“Sounds like the Russians detonated a hydrogen bomb.”
“I don’t believe we drove all the way up here and didn’t get anything.”
“You made a contact? Why didn’t you call me? What was it?”
“That figures. The head Ranger thinks it’s the spirit of a girl who was kept by the officers back in the 1830′s or 40′s.”
“Is there something you’re not telling me?”
“Must be a big fire, huh?”
“Look at that weird light by the river.”
“Oh... shiiit...”
“I’m Winston Zeddemore, your Honor. I came to work with these gentlemen when they first went into private practice... and I didn’t believe any of this either. I’m a highly trained engineer. I’ve done two hitches as a flying officer in the strategic Air Command. I’ve been all over the world and I’ve seen lots of strange things, so I can tell you with complete confidence that these ocurrences are real. Since I joined these men I have seen shit that would turn you white.”
From the September 1983 Script Draft:
“Let me ask you something. The ad in the paper just said "Help Wanted." What's the job?”
“Not really. However, if there's a semi-regular paycheck in it I'll believe anything you say.”
“Yeah, I heard that. Now tell me 89/89a Omitted what you really do.”
“Hey man. What is it you're so involved with there?”
“Busy time of year.”
“Right. We'll believe anything.”
“We're gonna get five years for this. Plus they're gonna make us retrap all those spooks. I knew I shouldn't have taken this job.”
“This is insane! You actually believe Lhat some moldy Babylonian God is going to drop in at 78th and Central Park West and start tearing up the city?”
“Maybe we should go downstairs and call first?”
“Well, she's not here. Let's go.”
“Let's get out of here!”
“Now he's mad.”
“He looks like my high school principal.”
“You should've said "yes!" He might have been willing to negotiate.”
“We did it! Thank God!”
“Good. Now we made him mad.”
From the 1984 Final Film Script:
“Ray, when someone asks you if you're a god, you say, "Yes!"”
“And we have the tools. We have the talent!”
“My mind is totally blank.”
“What did you do, Ray? Aw, shit!”
“This job is definitely not worth another eleven-five a year.”
“I'm all right. You all right?”
“I love this town! Ha ha!”
brOTP: Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, Janine Melnitz, Dana Barrett, Louis Tully, Walter Peck, Slimer, Buster, the siblings Megan and Kenny Carter, Alan, Elaine Phermon, Louise, Cyntia Crawford, DyTyllio, Bryan Welsh, Jenny Moran, Dani Shpak, Lou Kamaka, Melanie Ortiz, Kylie Griffin, Eduardo Rivera, Garrett Miller, Roland Jackson, Marie Laveau.
OTP: Ray Stantz, Tiyah Clarke, @spengnitzed OC Regina.
nOTP: Tiamat.
Random Headcanon: His parents camed from Lansing, Michigan, while Winston and his siblings (two brothers and three sisters) are born and growed up in the Bronx, New York City.
Unpopular Opinion: I find the IDW comics arc where the villain Tiamat (a sibling of Gozer) erases the memory of Winston’s marriage to his wife Tiyah Clarke of everybody except him unecessarily cruel, and prefer to ignore this event happened in favour of imagining they are still together and happy.
Songs I Associate With Them:

Se eu Quiser Falar com Deus
Never Giving Up
Have a Little Faith in Me

First Impressions
“Didn’t your mom teach you not to play with your food?” Peter wryly commented.
“Examining fungi is not playing with food,” Egon stated as he picked another mushroom from the noodles. He put it into a small jar.
Peter rolled his eyes and took another sip from the glass bottle. The earthy vanilla flavor of root beer was a sweet change from the liquor he usually sneaked around in his pocket. With how slow Egon was taking with finishing his lunch, Peter knew they wouldn’t be leaving soon. He slumped back into the booth and eyed his surroundings. It was more interesting than watching Egon perform surgery over his pasta. (No doubt, he’d ordered it because it had mushrooms in the sauce.)
The small restaurant had the familiar red walls, dark green upholstery and stained carpeted floors. Waitresses were bustling around with their trays stacked with water and breadsticks. It was warm inside with the savory scent of different Italian food which was comforting for Peter. It reminded him of his mother when she made different pastas for Saturday dinners; usually for the two of them.
“What did you get for Ray?” asked Egon. Now he was eating. Ray kept missing his usual eating out with his two close friends for over a week. He’d spent his spare time searching for a particular book in different libraries around New York City.
“His fourth favorite dish from here,” Peter said as he pushed his plate aside.
“Chicken marsala,” Egon said half to himself. The take out box was near his side of the table and he opened it with interest.
“Don’t think about it,” said Peter. He reached over and snapped the lid closed. “You’ve collected enough fungus for today.” He scooted the box closer to his side.
“I wasn’t going to take any,” protested Egon though his tone hardly changed. “Curiosity is just another-Peter?  Peter!” He noticed his friend suddenly wasn’t listening to him. No surprise, a woman had just passed them.
“Wow,” Peter murmured to himself with a dazed, love sick expression.
The lady that passed them wore a cyan blue dress with an A-line skirt and a black belt which emphasized her hourglass figure. Her strawberry blonde hair was pulled into a low bun with simple hoop earrings. Even though Peter only got a glimpse of her face, he noticed her profile; like the classic beauty an old Hollywood starlet.
The lady made her way to an empty table and sat down, her back facing them. Just when Peter had started to rise up and make his way over to her, a man came up and sat with her. He had a navy blue suit and plastered blonde hair. Peter sank back. Of course she’d already have a boyfriend. Well, it certainly wouldn’t take too long to notice another lovely woman…or so he thought.
It was almost frustrating throughout the afternoon that he couldn’t stop thinking of her. It’d only been twice when after seeing an interesting lady that he couldn’t shake the image out of his mind. It looked like she’d be the third. Give it until tomorrow and things would be back to normal again.
Things calmed down into the early evening. Since Egon had already graduated with two PhDs in Applied Physics and Parapsychology he was working for Columbia in paranormal experiences. Though he had an incredibly high IQ and graduated quicker than an average student would, some professors found his work questionable. (He and Peter had to meet with one of the departments earlier that day because they had inquiries for his projects.) He worked in the Paranormal Studies Laboratory in Weaver Hall with his name printed on the glass door. It appeared more as a basement than an official lab with the sparse lighting and stale scent. Since Ray and Peter were attending Columbia, even though it was currently June, they made themselves at home. Anyone who knew Egon would be aware that he didn’t read Captain Steel comic books or have a full body poster of Marilyn Monroe. Besides, there was promise that if all went well they could work along with Egon after getting their doctorates in Parapsychology.
Egon and Ray were spending their evening looking over notes for some prototype they wanted to build. Peter ignored their technical talk and with feet propped on his desk, read the newspaper. He skipped the boring columns of economics and went straight to the sports section. He took off his tie and tossed it to the desk where he left his blazer. He was vaguely aware of the soft knock on the office door and Ray’s quick footsteps to answer.
“Oh hi Claire,” said Ray being his usual friendly self. “Come on in.”
“I found the book,” said a voice with some triumph. “I was having lunch with one of my co-workers and he said he just returned this to the library. I thought I’d check it out for you.”
“Gee thanks,” Ray said taking the thickly bound book. “I was worried I’d be waiting two weeks and-Oh! Sorry! Where are my manners? Hey guys. This is Claire Teague. She’s the one I met at the library. Claire, these are my good friends. That’s Egon and Peter’s hiding behind the newspaper.”
Right on cue, Peter’s eyes lazily looked over his newspaper and his heart skipped several beats! Be it fate, luck or even a miracle, there she was! No mistaking it, the same lady from the restaurant was there in Weaver Hall. Having heard that she was with a co-worker and not a boyfriend made Peter all the more pleased. Egon took little notice, but Peter scrambled from his chair, newspaper tumbling to the floor and turned on his charm.
“Well hello,” Peter said smoothly. He leaned against the bookshelf, chin resting on his palm and eyes gazing into hers. “I’m Peter Venkman-uh, soon to be Dr. Peter Venkman.”
“Hi,” Claire said politely. She turned back to Ray and stepped closer to him. “So are you finally going to tell me why you were looking for this book?”
“It’s kind of hard to explain,” continued Ray as he flipped to the first page with interest.
“Tell me” said Claire with a smile. “You said you’re earning a doctorate in...you said, Parapsychology?”
Peter tuned out Ray’s explanation as he leaned back against the bookshelf and took in Claire’s beauty. She was a perfect combination of actresses he liked: The smile of Michelle Pfeiffer: the soft round face Jessica Lange: the blue eyes and defined bow shaped lips of Grace Kelly: the classic hourglass figure of Marilyn Monroe. He could say perhaps even tad more voluptuous since she wasn’t as thin as a rail.  When Claire sat in one of the metal chairs next to Ray, she crossed her shapely legs.
“Gorgeous,” Peter thought. He really hoped she was single. No chance Ray was dating her since he had just been asked out by another classmate. He’d been so wrapped into his thoughts that he didn’t hear Ray’s conversation end. It hadn’t been long, probably two minute. Claire looked at Peter and then back to his desk.
“What about you?” Claire said to him. “You’ve got some type of box on your desk.”
“You don’t want to know,” Egon said with some disdain.
“Have you ever heard of the ESP test?” Peter said giving his friendly tone.
“No,” Claire simply said with a head shake.
“It stands for extra sensory perception,” Peter continued. “Guess you could say it’s to figure out if you have a sixth sense and the test is based off of the psychologist Karl Zener.”
“What exactly are you testing?” Claire actually seemed curious.
“I’m examining the negative reinforcement of the ESP test with electrodes,” Peter simply answered.
“Not even scientific,” Egon muttered.
“How does that work?” Claire asked.
“Easy,” Peter explained since he thought he was gaining her attention. For full effect, he leaned over his desk and started shuffling some of the Zener cards. “Every card has a symbol on the back and-”
“There’s nothing scientific about it,” interjected Egon. He didn’t turn his back around from his project. “It’s chance! Each card has a plus sign, star, square, circle or wavy lines. You just keep randomly guessing to see if you get one right. It’s been discredited for clairvoyance!”
“Isn’t he cute?” Peter smirked. “Doesn’t have a doctorate in Psychology and he thinks he knows everything.”
“It’s not a bad idea,” said Ray who was trying to keep the peace. “Maybe if Karl Zener had just done more experiments it could’ve been credible.”
“I suppose that’s what Mr. Venkman is trying prove,” said Claire. “It just needs more testing and it could be a success that even this Zener couldn’t achieve.” She stepped a little closer to Peter. “Maybe you just need the right people to test it.”
“Funny you should say,” Peter said stepping closer to her. “I had one ditch a session tomorrow.”
“She freaked out when you told her about being hooked up for electric shocks,” protested Ray.
“She had another engagement Ray,” corrected Peter almost through his teeth. He wasn’t keen on Ray ruining his moment. He gazed back into Claire’s eyes, getting lost in the shades of blue. “If you’re interested in how the Zener test works, how about you be a test subject? I bet you’re one of the smartest ladies around; you could guess those cards so easily that you wouldn’t even get the tiniest shock.”
“I have a high threshold for pain,” Claire said after a pause. “I could be a test subject if it’s after my work. I get off at five-thirty.”
“It’d be a pleasure Miss Teague,” Peter responded. “An absolute pleasure. Six-ish work for you?”
“That’d be nice.” Claire walked around him for the door. “I’ll see you tomorrow. Let me know when you’re ready to check the book back in Ray. Goodbye.”
Right after she left, Egon muttered something and scribbled another formula for the prototype. Peter playfully slapped Ray on the shoulder.
“What?” asked Ray innocently.
“When you said you met some girl at the library you didn’t say she was a bombshell,” teased Peter.
“I told you her name,” said Ray. “We were just in the history section and I accidentally bumped into her.”
“She doesn’t seem to have the same interest as you,” Egon said who couldn’t help overhearing a little.
“Well no,” admitted Ray with a shrug. “She loves history and I was looking for that book about ghost sightings during America’s earliest years. So she said she’d keep an eye for it and I told where I’m at if she finds it. Nothing to it. It’s not like I was going to date her.”
“Did she mention being single?” Peter asked eagerly.
“I think she is.” Ray scratched his head in thought. He noticed the gleam in Peter’s eyes. “Oh come on Peter! Don’t tell me you’re going to ask her out after the ESP test.”
“Very good Ray,” joked Peter. “You catch on fast. You should’ve seen the look in her eyes when she said she’d volunteer. That’s the look of a woman who’s fallen under the Venkman charm.”
It would work out perfectly. Claire would get all the right cards; she’d be smitten by Peter’s “encouragement” to guess correctly and then a date. Who knew, maybe something extra later in the night? She seemed self-confident to have hinted being a volunteer. Peter already liked that. She didn’t give off too much personality other than the first things he usually noticed in a lady; that being pretty and nice. Either way, the usual plan was already up and running.
(Author’s Note: Finally! First ficlet up! BTW, you better be hearing Lorenzo Music’s voice when reading Peter’s lines here. 😉 Props to Spengs0 for suggesting Paire as a shipping name.

When They Point To The Pictures [ch. 2]
Word Count: 731
Warnings: Estrangement, broken friendships, feelings of betrayal, brief reference to notorious mass suicide, referenced PTSD, fear of dogs, past panic attack
Fandom: Ghostbusters
Pairings: Peter Venkman x Dana Barrett, Egon Spengler x Cathleen Paige
I love writing Mom!Dana. And it’s not just because Sigourney Weaver is Mother.
Enjoy!
————————
“Hey, Mom?” the voice of her oldest son interrupted her as she was tuning up her cello.
“Yes, Oscar? What is it?” Dana asked, setting her instrument and bow aside.
“Why don’t Uncle Egon and Auntie Cath come around anymore?” Oscar asked.
Dana looked at her son, wondering where this had come from. He had stopped asking questions about Egon and Cathleen less than a year after they had left for God only knew where, so she and Peter hadn’t anticipated it coming up again anytime soon.
“Even after we moved here, Uncle Ray and Aunt Willow still visit with Addison and Natalie, and even Uncle Winston and Aunt Tiyah come sometimes,” Oscar explained. “But... you told me that Uncle Egon and Aunt Cath moved really far away, with Aunt Janine and Uncle Louis.”
Then, he asked the question that even though she thought that she knew the answer, she still asked herself every single time she thought of them.
“Why did they leave?”
Dana sighed, moving onto the couch and taking Oscar into her lap-- something that she hadn’t done since before she was pregnant with Kelly. Oscar had been so insistent that he was too old to sit on his mother’s lap, but he wasn’t fighting her over it right now.
“Oscar, it’s... it’s a little complicated,” she tried that for a beginning.
Oscar sighed. “Mom, that’s what grown-ups always say when they don’t want to talk about something.”
“No, I do want to talk,” Dana told him. “You see... about a year after your cousin Marie was born, the both of them and your Aunt Janine started talking about these... nightmares that they’d been having. And over that time until Andrew and Addison were born, they started to... believe some things that were pretty... pretty...”
“Like that cult last year that killed themselves?” Oscar asked.
Dana winced, remembering how Oscar and Andrew had accidentally caught glimpses of the news coverage of the Heaven’s Gate cult’s mass suicide.
“No,” she quickly answered. “Not like a cult. But, they were starting to scare us. And... you know how I told you about how I met Dad? And how that’s why I get nervous around big dogs?”
“Yeah,” Oscar nodded.
“Well, Uncle Egon started to say some things that reminded me of that,” Dana explained. “And I started to have an anxiety attack, and your father got mad at him for causing it. He did apologize, but... the next day, they were gone. Cath left a note, but she didn’t tell us where they went.”
She purposely omitted how immediately after her panic attack, Cathleen had gone to Ray and Willow’s place to confront them on how they didn’t believe Egon, and she and Willow had gotten into a physical fight.
“So they left... like my birth dad,” Oscar said it as if it were plain as day. “I’m mad at them.”
“Well, you wouldn’t be alone,” Dana remarked.
“Is that why their pictures were taken out of my baby book?”
Dana nodded. “Yeah. Your-- your dad and Uncle Ray were so mad at them that they wanted to forget that they ever knew them, so... that’s exactly what they tried to do.”
She took a deep breath.
“Oscar... I don’t blame you if you want to be mad at Uncle Egon and Aunt Cath,” Dana said. “But, they were still a big part of our lives. When I was having a hard time taking care of you, they did step up to help me. And they helped me save you. If it weren’t for them... you wouldn’t be you anymore. You wouldn’t have grown into this amazing boy that you are, and I’m grateful for that. But it still doesn’t excuse how much they’ve hurt us. So, if you want to be mad at them, you can.”
Oscar nodded. “Okay.”
“But, remember... by forgiving them, that makes you the better person,” Dana told him.
“Okay.”
The door opened, and Peter walked in. Like Pavlov’s dog, Kelly recognized the sound all the way from where she had been playing and stumbled into the living room on her tiny legs to greet him as she squealed with delight. Andrew rushed downstairs, too.
“Hey, Osco,” Peter greeted. “So, you and Mom talking about something?”
Oscar looked down at his hands before looking up at his father again. “No, just... just talking about nothing.”

When They Point To The Pictures [ch. 1]
Word Count: 480
Warnings: Estrangement, broken friendships, feelings of betrayal
Fandom: Ghostbusters
Pairings: Peter Venkman x Dana Barrett, Egon Spengler x Cathleen Paige (mentioned)
Prepare for angst...
Oscar is ten years old at this point, so it’s 1998. Peter and Dana’s son, Andrew, is six, and their daughter, Kelly, is three. The family moved to Cortland when Peter got his job at SUNY Cortland.
Enjoy!
————————
Oscar Barrett-Venkman was no stranger to how much change that a person could experience in a short time.
His mother had remarried when he was barely a year old, her new husband Peter had legally adopted him, his birth father was constantly in and out of his life, he had gotten a little brother and a little sister, and his dad had gotten a new job that caused them to move out of the city and into Cortland.
Uncle Ray and Aunt Willow usually came up to visit once a month. Sometimes Uncle Winston and Aunt Tiyah would join them, but Uncle Winston was usually busy with work. He loved playing with Addison and Natalie, even if he thought the way that Addison looked at him reminded him too much of how Sally looked at Linus.
But each time, he always hoped that a few other people would come with them.
He remembered when Uncle Egon and Auntie Cath, then Aunt Janine and Uncle Louis had left. He remembered how angry Dad, Uncle Ray, and Aunt Willow had been, and how sad everyone else was. Addison and Andrew were just babies, so they hadn’t really cared, even if Addison’s face would turn red on the rare occasions that they were mentioned.
A month later had been his birthday. As was tradition, he and his mother would look through his baby book. But when they opened it, he realized that many pictures had been taken out.
When they had moved into the Cortland house, he had finally found the missing photos in the attic.
The photos of him with Uncle Egon and Auntie Cath and Callie and Marie.
He hid them away in his room, amidst the copious amounts of sheet music that he had collected since he started his music lessons.
Sometimes, at night, very much like tonight, he would take them out and look at them.
And it would hit him how much he missed them.
Uncle Egon, and how he never talked to him like he was a baby, even if he had trouble understanding what he was talking about sometimes.
Auntie Cath, and her sweet voice that his mother had mentioned had sung him lullabies as a baby when she was looking after him
Callie, and how she was always able to make any activity fun for him just because he got to play with his big girl cousin.
And Marie, who had still practically been a baby to him, even if she was only nine months younger than him, yet she seemed to be just as smart as Uncle Egon.
Sometimes, he wanted to ask his parents about them. He wanted to know where they were, and if they would come back to visit.
But, each time before he would, he would lose his nerve and say something else.
Maybe tomorrow, he’d try to ask again.

Lily Tully in the Bathroom by Herself
Okay, so, I don't know if I've actually talked about Lily, one of my Ghostbusters OCs.
So, in the Cathleen Lives AU, Lily Tully is the daughter of Janine Melnitz and Louis Tully. She's born not too long after the couple follows Egon, Cathleen, and their daughters to Summerville, and grows up as one of Marie's (Egon and Cathleen's youngest daughter born at the end of GB2 in this AU) only friends.
When the OG Ghostbusters reconcile and the Spenglers return to New York, Lily struggles to find her place among the slowly-reassembling family, especially as Ray and Willow's eldest daughter, Addison, isn't too keen on letting the Spenglers back into her family's lives. It all comes to a head at their first Thanksgiving dinner together in a long time at Winston and Tiyah's penthouse, as will be depicted in a later fic that I've had the idea for quite a while, but I'm going to wait until the new movie comes out to fully plan out.
Lyrics are below; if you want a voice reference, her FC is Mariah Rose Faith Casillas from Team StarKid (just picture her look as Melissa from the Hatchetfield series).
LILY: I am hanging in the bathroom In the Zeddemore penthouse hall I could stay right here or disappear, And nobody'd even notice at all
Just a comms major in the bathroom 'Cause the Spenglers went and left me alone So I'd rather fake pee than eat awkwardly And watch the Macy's Parade on my own
Everything felt fine when I was half of a pair Now through no fault of mine, there's no other half there
Now I'm just Lily in the bathroom Lily in the bathroom on Thanksgiving Shrinking so I'm not seen Just Lily in the bathroom, Lily in the bathroom on Thanksgiving All thanks to Auntie Cathleen I'm waiting it out 'til it's time to leave And picking at grout as I softly grieve
I'm just Lily who you don't know Lily flyin' solo Lily in the bathroom by herself All by herself
I am hiding, but they're out there, rediscovering this cool history Memories found but erased, and I'll get replaced With some newer, smarter versions of me
And I hear my dad singing acapella through the door "Who ya gonna call?" And my feelings sink, 'Cause it makes me think Now the girls and I can't make fun of our dads anymore
Now I'm just Lily in the bathroom Lily in the bathroom on Thanksgiving Ma says to face my fears Lily in the bathroom, Lily in the bathroom on Thanksgiving But I can't help the tears I'll wait as long as I need, 'til my face is dry Or I'll blame Kelly's weed, or Aunt Willow's burnt pie
I'm just Lily who you don't know Lily flyin' solo Lily in the bathroom by herself
LILY & KELLY: Knock, knock, knock, knock
KELLY: Hey, I need to use the bathroom
LILY & KELLY: Knock, knock, knock, knock
LILY: Of course, yeah, I'll be out soon
LILY & KELLY: Knock, knock, knock, knock
LILY: It sucks, they left me all alone
LILY & KELLY: Knock, knock, knock, knock
LILY: Here in this family drama zone
LILY & ENSEMBLE: Clang, clang, clang, clang!
LILY: I feel the pressure creepin' in
LILY & ENSEMBLE: Bang, bang, bang, bang!
LILY: I should've stayed at Hampton Inn
LILY & ENSEMBLE: Splash, splash, splash, splash!
LILY: I throw some water in my face And I am in a better place I go to open up the door But I can't hear knocking anymore
And I can't help but yearn for the good old times And then I look in the mirror And the present is clearer And there's no denying, I'm just
Lily in the bathroom, Lily in the bathroom On Thanksgiving My trauma, I'll downplay Lily in the bathroom, Lily in the bathroom on Thanksgiving Still not my worst holiday
I wished I stayed home in bed, 'cause I'm a worthless cog And my claim to fame is that my dad was once a dog!
I'm just Lily, Taylor Swift fan Latecoming Hugh Dancy stan Won't stay in the background Must forge my own path now Lily flyin' solo Who you'll say that you know Lily in the bathroom by herself All by herself All by herself!
All you know about me is my name Lovely dinner, I'm so glad I came

OTHER PERSONAL INFO:
During summers in her last two years of high school, she performed for tourists in Branson, Missouri, living with her Aunt Gracie.
She met Cathleen Spengler when they were in an off-off Broadway production of Kiss Me, Kate; Cathleen was playing Katharine/Lilli Vanessi and Willow was playing Bianca/Lois Lane. The two struck up a friendship, and shortly after Cathleen gave birth to her second daughter Marie, she introduced Willow to her friend Ray Stantz. After a whirlwind courtship, the two tied the knot on Halloween 1990.
She was nominated for Best Featured Actress in a Musical at the Tony Awards in 1991 for her role as Sister Ruth in a musical adaptation of Black Narcissus, but lost to Daisy Eagan.
She would later win Best Leading Actress in 2001 for her role as Polly Kern in Red as the Curtain, a Drowsy Chaperone-style vaudeville satire mixed with the blood and guts of Chicago.
Both of her pregnancies were rough-- her pregnancy with Addison was especially uncomfortable and the labor/delivery was fraught with complications, while during her pregnancy with Natalie, she was still dealing with the emotional fallout of the Spenglers' perceived betrayal.

OTHER PERSONAL INFO:
She received her bachelor's degree from Harvard University and attended medical school at Johns Hopkins.
She has had a crush on Oscar Barrett-Venkman since she was little, and he seems to have feelings for her, as well. There was briefly a rift between them after his fling with Bianca Jacquard resulted in a pregnancy, but she has helped him raise his daughter, Elly.
For most of her life, she held a grudge against the Spengler family for their perceived betrayal, and refused to forgive the surviving members of the family even after Gozer's return and subsequent defeat. It was only after falling under and freeing herself from Ariadne's control, as well as accidentally injuring her father, that she finally let go of her hatred.
Her best friend is Kelly Venkman, but her best friend outside of the family is her former medical school roommate and current colleague, pathologist Dr. Tabitha Rashid.
Addison is Elly Venkman's godmother.
