Costume Notes: A new Jerusalem design! His costume consists of sandals, braided head band, brown trouser a brown short sleeved shirt with a patched worked leather like vest on top. He also has a band around his right wrist. This design stays consistent, so even the most recent production looks like this.

Production Notes: So I know there was a 1994, 2001 Jerusalem production but I’m haven’t really found much on them so I’m unsure when this updated design first was introduced. Additionally, it’s possible this production began in 2008 as I saw some info that there was a Jerusalem production in 2007 or 2008.

There’s a trailer for this version on YouTube with parts of Kanamori’s Heaven on Their Minds and “Judas’ Death.” His “Superstar” and “Judas’ Death” from his run as Judas in the Japonica ver. in 2009 you can find clips posted on YouTube by user xmenetv. My guess is all of these are Shiba, the right and left is from 2013 and the center from 2007

Costume Notes: So these are the only photos for the Japonica style “Superstar” I can find. I have no idea if earlier versions looked different or not. He only wears this for the number and changes back to his regular costume for bows. His trousers look the same to his regular costume’s but it has some design on the upper left leg he also  seems to add a thick black belt on top. Aside from being shirtless he also has a braided band that drapes over his left shoulder and wears the thorn crown on top of his head.

You can find a blurry recording of “Superstar” with 金森勝/Kanamori Masaru as Judas from 2009 posted on YouTube by user xmenetv, they also have Herod’s song and Judas’ Death recorded
