How Mavado stole his Boy Toy Belt Buckle.
Jamaican Superstar Artiste of Dancehall, Mavado quickly the Boy Toy Belt Buckle has stolen and wearing it up below on the jeans, he was up behind the fictional character and artist Cranky Kong as the Assistant.

I wonder if the Kongo Bongo Festival of Lights in the DKC Cartoon Season 2 episode of the same name was inspired by "La fête des Lumières" ("The Festival of Lights") that are held in Lyon around Christmas time, according to my French teacher. Especially since the French name of that Season 2 episode is "La fête des lumières des Kongo Bongo", and is a Christmas-themed episode. It would make sense since the show was produced in Canada and probably had some French culture leak into it.

The Worst of All Possible Worlds #121: Donkey Kong Country The Animated Series
The lads hop on Funky Kong’s biplane bound straight for Kongo Bongo as they banana slamma their way through the nightmarish musical that is Donkey Kong Country: The Animated Series. Topics include the origins of televised 3D animation, the staying power of the hit-or-miss songs, and the innate memeability of Eddie the Mean Old Yeti.

I know Valentines Day was over but I just want to let this one out of my chest of Diddy x Dixie in my AU.
It was valentines day and Diddy Kong just left his home getting something for Dixie who he's been dating recently while his big buddy and uncle is spending Valentines day with Candy Kong. While Lexie was hanging with Tiny, Dixie was about to leave her home to get something for Valentines Day. Tiny the sneaky one she is decides to go check it out. Lexie tells Tiny it was a bad idea but Tiny replies that Dixie might be hiding something from her. Confused but curious, Lexie tags along. At the Jungle of Kongo Bongo, Tiny and Lexie sneaks behind the log to see Diddy holding some flowers and Dixie was holding a box of Banana Chocolates. Diddy was quite shy and very nervous despite trying his best not to embrace her. But then Dixie has kissed Diddy show how much a lovely and silly he is. Dixie really loved that silly dork.
Fact: Tiny and Lexie at the back of the log was surprised and realized that Diddy and Dixie are in love with each other.

i once thought about not including Bluster but a user named @bewitchedbunny (thank you btw) gave me a rather interesting idea that changed my mind Bluster Kong is the owner of a barrel factory, he's snooty and a major perfectionist. Unlike in the original cartoon, Bluster has a bit of a rivalry with Funky Kong instead of Donkey Kong because they both have different philosophies when it comes to their works. Bluster is rule driven and strives to be perfect while Funky is more creative and laid back, Bluster finds him lazy and unruly and Funky finds him too uptight and boring. However, Bluster kinda has some respect for Donkey Kong but thats only because he's royalty and doesn't want to embarrass himself. (also Bluster doesn't have the hots for Candy anymore) Eddie is a large yeti that lives alone in the snowy mountains of Kongo Bongo, he's very protective of his home and he may look scary but he's actually kinda nice once you get to know him. Eddie was once happily married to a lady yeti but she passed away however from illness and has remained lonely and heart broken ever since, it wasn't until he met DK and his friends who were able to fill the void in his sad heart. now for the designs, i gave Bluster a a fancy vest and gave his head more hair cuz i thought it was weird when he had a comb over but the rest of his head was bald. as for Eddie, in the show he just looked like a recolored Donkey Kong with a hat on, for the reboot i made him larger, gave him an underbite and gave him a scarf to go with his hat.

As soon as the puzzle pieces are poured out onto the table, Luigi worked on pulling edge pieces from out of the mix. Sometimes a puzzle was easier to put together quickly if the edge was completed first. Of course, there were always outliers.
Tumblr media
He only partially paid attention to DK trying to do the puzzle with his huge hands. What held his attention more was the fact that if he'd gotten the puzzle from his own kingdom, it would've surely come in an appropriately-scaled size. Had he gotten the puzzle from Toad Town? Or elsewhere? At DK's question, Luigi paused what he was doing and set the edge pieces he'd found into their own little pile by his leg on the floor. "Well- It's one of two things," he answered. "Either people think that's Mario'n I's mom's name... Which it's not. Or someone got wind of the name the yoshi I met gave to me."
If Luigi ever did go poke into some shops around the tourist hot spot, Kongo Bongo, he'd probably be surprised to find-...Kongs did not peddle puzzles over things like arrowheads, fancy fruit, clay pottery, and anything practical woven out of dried reeds or sturdy vines. One had to travel to the Mushroom Kingdom to find some time-passing knick knacks. Kongs were too proud to spend free time fumbling with something like a puzzle when there were only so many hours in a day to spend training muscles at the gym and minds at Kollege, not to mention getting enough food throughout the day to sustain both.
If it weren't for his occasional alliance visits with Peach, then he probably wouldn't have such an item in his possession, but upon finding that his smashing moods often flatlined when watching the princess fix a smashed up image by lining up all the little broken pieces, DK found that watching someone piece together the useless things helped him smooth down ruffled fur and clear his head.
Not that a calmer DK was any less of an instigator. "...a yoshi called you that?" Snorting, the Kong swivels his gaze to the side to steal a glance at the other's work in progress. "Well. Guess there's some resemblance. Green with a big honkin' nose." He explains as if it's a fact over an insult, though technically it's both.
Tumblr media
"Nah, but you probably wanna keep some distance from those dudes. Otherwise you'll be callin' them Mama..." Don't ask him how he knows-

I mentioned a headcanon a while back about how each village on Kongo Bongo/in the Jungle Kingdom had a council of elders that served as a local form of government or lords of the land. While I don't necessarily have a thought-out plan for the one in Kong Village in present day, since I do a lot of thought-processing for the island when Cranky and Wrinkly were younger, I do have something of a plan for the council of elders of that era.
Behold, the then-current elders of Kong Village during Cranky's prime. Better known as the fruit juice trio, since their main clothing colors invoke those colors.
There's some more info beneath the cut. :)
-Gahrm
Second oldest of the elders
Has Kindly Old Grandpa Energy; local village grandpa because of it
Really only harsh with the king and those who cause disturbances in the village
Makes a mean batch of cookies
Big fan of theater
-Aiko
Oldest of the elders
Also the second oldest sister of Cranky's grandfather, the king before the previous one
Butts heads with the king more often than any of the other elders, even the ones from different villages
The main target of the pranks pulled by the king's sons
Generally not well liked by the village as a whole
-Mischa
Youngest of the elders
The only elder of the village who owns the king's full respect
Always ensures all the village children are keeping out of trouble by providing safer alternatives and help where he can
A kindly old man only outmatched by Gahrm
Tries to see things from everyone's point of view
