people forget that trump attempted to ban tiktok via executive order for the same reason that the house is doing it now: naked xenophobia (and a desire for the us intelligence to be able to install a backdoor, as is customary in other web apps). brute force isn't the right approach here because the app is simply too popular, and a ban would also raise serious first amendment concerns. rather than picking up the bill, i expect that the senate select committee on intelligence is gonna do some research (saber rattling) and eventually force a marriage with microsoft or something

I just wanted to write in and let you know what you wrought, as I discovered the visit through your podcast I have since run a comedy one shot very loosely based on its premise, but with the caveat that someone murdered Alfred Ill before the arrival of the billionairess. so i just learned about Booth's Diagonal through your podcast. immrdiately i envisioned a person attempting to maximize their theatre curses by standing on it and shouting the name of the Scottish Play, but it occurred to me that you're only supposed to not block a scene on Booth's Diagonal, and the name "Macbeth" is only cursed when you're saying it outside the context of a performance. if that's the case, the curses might actually be mutually exclusive to execute; you could stack them by mumbling the name "Macbeth" under your breath before going out to perform a scene entirely on the Diagonal, but then it would be impossible to do them at the same time. DYING to hear your thoughts on this

Really enjoying this idea of a chaotic stage actor cursemaxxing their production. Saying "good luck" as they walk onstage, wearing yellow underwear, whistling as they do. Keeping their makeup bag nice and tidy. all the usual bits.
