So I noticed that Columbia university is trending and I know there has been pro Palestinian protest there. I get that the protesters care about the Palestinian people and don't want innocent civilian to die. I don't want innocent civilians to die either but I don't think camping out on college campuses and shouting thing like "we are Hamas" and "Death to Israel/Death to America" will help the Palestinians. I think that if these people truly want to help the Palestinian people they will call for the release of the roughly 100 hostages Hamas has been holding since October 7th as well as organize a fundraiser in coordination with charities like the red cross and salvation army in order to make sure that food, water, blanket and clothing makes its way directly to the palestinian people as well as work with the IDF, Egypt and other neighboring countries like Lebanon and Qatar to make sure we get as many Palestinians in order to make sure that we get as many civilians out of harms way as possible before the IDF does a strike against Hamas.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should resign, calling him an obstacle to a two-state solution.
THE BIG PICTURE: Speaking about the aftermath of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack and the prime minister's counteroffensive, Pelosi said Netanyahu is ultimately responsible.
• "We recognize Israel's right to protect itself. We reject the policy and the practice of Netanyahu. Terrible," she said in an interview with RTÉ's Six One News in Ireland. "What could be worse than what he has done in response?"
WHAT SHE'S SAYING: Pelosi said he has been an obstacle to peace in the region for years.
• "I don't know whether he's afraid of peace, incapable of peace, or just doesn't want peace, but he has been an obstacle to the two-state solution," she added.
ZOOM OUT: The comments come after the House on Saturday voted on a bipartisan basis to pass a $95 billion foreign aid package, that $26 billion in aid for Israel and for humanitarian crises in conflict zones, including in Gaza.
• Many House Democrats grappled bitterly about the vote over concerns with Israel's conduct in Gaza and the inclusion of aid for Gaza and other humanitarian crisis spots.
GO DEEPER: U.S. urges Israel to "be careful and strategic" regarding response to Iran attack
Editor's note: This story was corrected to show the $26 billion for Israel includes roughly $9 billion for humanitarian aid (not $26 billion for military aid to Israel).
Reminder that in Gaza alone, around 90-95% of the water supply is contaminated and unfit for human consumption...

Leaked comments from a meeting between released hostages and Netanyahu reveals rage towards the israeli government. During this meeting Netanyahu was heckled and shouted at by released hostages, who accused him of wanting to topple "the Hamas government, to show that you have bigger balls... You put politics above the return of the kidnapped.”
They speak of being shelled by IDF helicopters, of realizing the IDF is considering flooding the tunnels where hostages are with sea water.
A man with released family members said “They were under constant threat from the IDF shelling. You sat in front of us and assured us that it does not threaten their lives. They also roam the street and [are] not only in the tunnels. They are mounted on donkeys and carts. You will not be able to recognize them on the street and you are endangering their lives. It is our duty to return them now.”
"When Netanyahu said Hamas was to blame for the end of the truce, an individual identified by ynet as a family member of a released hostage replied: 'Nonsense.'”
