Curious to know how people found out about Whiteboard Fox since the only online drawing website I knew then was Drawpile, and that was much more tedious to start up.

Because i've been so stressed i decided fuck it if i'm not going to write anyway, i'm going to sketch. These two have sort of become comfort characters lately as i seem to sketch them every time i'm stressed or sad or just in need of a random sketch haha

Drawn in drawpile then edited in clip studio paint. i used the colorize tool for fun this time and lowered the opacity. :] ♥️

Name Change

Hi guys! So, I have some news. A few weeks ago we were doing a Drawpile under BananaPoop. Well, wouldn't you know, a mod came in and yelled at us because we had the word Poop in the title. We had to change it.

Honestly, since the purging of tags on tumblr a while ago, and 'poop' being one of them, I've been considering changing my name, lest my username was blacklisted. Its taken a bit, because I'm awful with naming things, but I've decided on iodotsys. You can keep calling me whatever you like, but my username did have to change. This will change across platforms where I am able to change my name.

Its extremely unfortunate something as innocent as poop is something we can't even say anymore on the internet for fear of being banned from the platform we're using. I'm not here to preach, I just find it. Well, sad. I guess just ask yourself whether the censorship is worth the fear it brings is all.

Anyhow, back to staring at this new name in confusion until I get used to it.

Joining Kyuushi fandom is so hard when you don't understand Japanese and are painfully shy... Is the discord friendly? I've never really used discord so it's all confusing

Oof, yah, I feel you buddy. It took me a hot minute to work up the courage to join the discord and a much hotter minute to ask for permission to join the smut channel f;foinaefaf

But yeah! the kyuushi discord's pretty chill and friendly! It's a very big server (about 6-700 people the last time i checked?), so it's kinda overwhelming, but i'd say only about 10% of that population are actually active. The mods are all really nice and responsible, easy to talk to. I basically just lurk and throw my art/fics into the sharing channels every once in a while, so i don't know if i'm the best person to ask?

But it's got a bunch of links to various sources and collections of information about kyuushi that will basically answer any questions about the series you may have. If there are channels you don't care for, for whatever reason, you can always just mute them. And there are roles in the server that you can add yourself to that give you a notification whenever something is happening or has updated (like if a new chapter dropped, or if someone is hosting a drawpile or smth). Discord is definitely a lot to take in at once, but for the most part you can just read around and you'll figure it out as you go :0

One tip i will say tho, since it's something i also didn't realize at first and it's easy to miss: there's a lot of extra information in the threads section of a channel (accessed by clicking the little spool of thread icon on the top of the channel)!

But yeah! Hope this helped at least a little ^^

Congrats, you saw all my posts!!

i rly liked how this one turned out even though i got lazy in a lot of aspects,,

i made it in this month's (july 2023) drawpile from the english puyo community discord, however i later slapped some colour balance on top with krita.

Just to note, i'm mid winter in my timezone but i thought it better reflected the "I SURVIVED MY FIRST SEMESTER AT UNIVERSITY, I GET TO BE LAZY FOR A MONTH" vibe. Also most students have vacations mid-year (july aka the drawpile prompt), right?

it says Dasta & Amulet (awkward) because i didnt know if i wanted to create an ig account for posting my art there too. Whats more, in the og post on the discord it had nann signed in the sea instead. I erased tho.

abt the names, most of my close friends know me as nann but i dont know if i want the peers (and maybe teachers) at uni learn abt that identity. In fact, Amulet is a fairly new pseudonymn made just for that case 💀

i think i can edit the posts later? it's my first time using tumblr for posting too (any social media at that, really). Maybe i'll add some screenshots of the "process" (i find it so hard to keep track of the process orz). The Nann sign should be in one of those too.

😭😭😭😭 Whenever someone takes an interest in my boy I cry for a million and one years… TYSM!!! I'm so happy you enjoy his design… 🥺 I would be so happy to talk about his lore!! It can be found below the break :3 <3 (I apologize for the length, I got carried away, lol...)

So! Lockout is a Decepticon seeker that I made for rp continuity soup. His lore was made through my improvisation in Drawpile rps I did with friends.

Before the war broke out on Cybertron, Lockout used to be a space shuttle known as F-12. His job was to fly between colonies and city-states on Cybertron to supply equipment and heavy machinery in bulk. He was close friends with Skyfire (considering him a brother) until Skyfire moved away to Vos to pursue his dream of becoming a scientist.

When the war began, F-12 took the side of the Autobots. Even though he sympathized with the Decepticons (being low-caste himself), he was more inclined to agree with the Autobots ideas of a peaceful shift in senate, rather than forcefully bringing it down with violence.

During a mission-gone-wrong, F-12 fell into the hands of Shockwave. F-12's big, sturdy frame seemed too useful to let go to waste, so Shockwave (with the help of shadowplay) reformatted F-12 into the stealth reconnaissance jet known as Lockout. He was given back to the Autobots to act as a spy; carefully delivering information back to the Decepticons in secret, until he was inevitably found out, and publicly branded a traitor.

Lockout would eventually be left behind in the frenzy to leave their dying world. He was soon found in the rubble by Shockwave, who put him into stasis-lock and stored him away in his laboratory. Lockout was then forgotten about.

It stayed that way for a long time until Shockwave started running low on energon. He remembered his past creation and figured he ought to extract the last of Lockout's energon for himself. Awoken again, and in a mad rage, Lockout overpowered Shockwave and tried tracking down the last known coordinates of his leader.

After one very long trip to Earth later, Lockout finally entered Earth's orbit. He crash-landed, resulting in his old shadowplay coding glitching out; leaving him dazed, confused, and heavily injured.

He was found sometime later by Starscream and his trine. He recognized them and was taken back to the nemesis to be repaired. Eventually, his memories from before the war and what was done to him resurfaced. He debated on leaving the Decepticons, but, having become desensitized to the violence, and finding companionship with a certain seeker, Lockout decided to stay. He began to bond with that certain seeker over their shared memories of Skyfire, leading to a spark between them that eventually kindled into something more.

And that's all his lore leading to present day! Hope you enjoyed :3 <3

4. favorite thing to draw - honestly I've been having a blast for the past however many months just drawing exclusively robots pretty much, the limb segmentation makes anatomy waaay easier tbh

6. warm colors or cold colors - i think the best design is one that can mesh warm colors and cool colors together in a way that isn't obtrusive, i like seeing purples and reds and oranges and greens work well together

15. if digital, what program do you use - I started using firealpaca in 2019 and now I'm experiencing the exact same shit that I experienced using drawpile as my main art program for 2 years. I cannot change to anything else because oooh ohh the ui so scary oooh ohhh so many options nooo nooooooo please if there's an animation program that doesn't have an abhorrent UI with so many buttons everywhere I need it firealpaca + sony vegas will kill me one day

Do you have a favorite youtuber or an artist youd want to collab with one day?

for some reason coloring others' art (or others coloring my art) just. doesn't feel quite right to me, i dunno why. i don't mind doing it with friends once in awhile i guess, and it's not exactly a collab but drawpile parties can be fun!

as for youtube, my fav youtubers tend to play different games and have much stronger personalities and wit than i do, so i'm not sure a collab would work out so well. ;v;

i do still enjoy playing among us and making silly videos of it now and then, and ofc i've thought it'd be neat to play a few games with the offlineTV/hafu lobbies - a little goofing around, maybe some impressive plays now and then, but mainly just playing a game i enjoy with some chill folks i look up to

Chapter 21 - "Mistake"

Lan Wangji watched Wei Wuxian’s figure in the window as he mindlessly stared out at the gentle blues of the closing summer sky. He wasn’t really looking anywhere, though. The ghost had gone further and further away, and his dissociation had only gotten worse the closer the next empathy session became.

“Wei Ying…” He spoke softly, trying not to startle his beloved.

The ghost turned his head and smiled slightly as if he hadn’t noticed the other until now. “What is it, Lan Zhan?” He looked so tired.

I'm having some art blocks with the brushes i usually use for gom, so this time i used a drawpile-like brush to line this (my usual lining brush but much thinner, the gom brush is actually a pencil!)

But this is like, the first time i've done a properly rendered picture for gom? like i have done pictures that arguably are better, but this is the first one i set out with the intention of rendering and not just making a sketch look over-the-top lol i hope you guys enjoy the chapter!! remember the next upload has been changed to the 25th to because of the delay last week!

oh yeah also, i have changed the GOM banner to be thinner? i think it will draw less attention, which is honestly the intention. I want it to draw in you guys so you know a chapter is being uploaded, but it was a bit too big so i've cut it, so it doesn't take so much space.

And here's the colored version! i'm using the black and red one for the fic cuz it fits the mood a bit better.
