You're folding clothes into a suitcase in preparation for a business trip to Okinawa when your husband comes into the bedroom.

He lingers behind you with a solemn expression, hair brushing the top of the doorframe. If there's one thing he hates most, it's your business trips to Okinawa, because he can't ever tag along (and he's tried. He's clung to your leg at the airport before.)

It's just two days.

But those two days are two days too long for him. He watches you serenely packing your suitcase for a little while longer, his lips skewed into a sad curve, and then does what he always does when he's upset and slowly embraces your from behind.

"Angel." you jump a little. This man is as quiet and stealthy as a cat when he's sad. That's already a telling sign that he's upset — silence. Gojo Satoru is hardly a quiet man, especially around his wife.

"What's the matter?" you ask softly, still nimbly folding clothes with your hands. His arms vine around your tummy and he lowers his face to rest on your shoulder.

"Nothin'." he lies very unconvincingly. You can hear the lack of liveliness in his voice.

You turn around in his embrace. Lips still stuck in a sad curve, he looks down at you like a lost puppy. A tall, lanky, moody puppy of a man.

"C'mere." you beckon for him to lower himself into a kiss. He listens and when he feels the press of your lips, he melts like butter.

He licks his lips savoringly after you pull your face away. Feeling your hands cupping his cheeks is just what he needed right now.

"It's only for two days, Satoru. You're so dramatic." you tease.

He groans, "Two! Whole! Days! It annoys me. I wanna go with you so bad."

You tilt your head at him adoringly. Folding and packing has completely ceased, now you're giving full attention to your pouty husband and that makes him happy. He's relishing in it, bathing in the way you look at him with so much love.

"You know you can call me, right?" you tell him, calming his twittering nerves with each soothing touch across his shoulders and arms.

"But I want more than that. I want you right here." he groans and then does the most Gojo thing possible and purposefully topples his weight on you so you're pinned to the bed underneath him.

"S'toru, can't b-reathe!" you giggle shortly, feeling his body press to yours.

"I'm staying like this 'till the plane leaves 'n then you'll have to stay."

"You're ridiculous."

He smirks into your neck. "Call Nanami and tell him he's just gonna have to do all the work himself."

You laugh. Your husband rolls off to the side, realizing he's very slightly crushing you.

"So jealous." you remark. Gojo flares up defensively.

"I'm not jealous! — okay, a little — you know what yes! I am jealous! So fucking jealous."

You laugh again. He's furrowing his brows, clinging to your body like he does when he prepares to nap. A very cat-like posture. And then he paws for your attention.

"How did I marry such a damn goof." you tease.

"You married me because I'm a goof." he muttered.

"True. That was one of the first reasons I crushed on you."

His ears perked up. You'd began stroking your fingers through his hair, and he was relaxing against your body just soaking up the affection. "Oh really?" he smirks. "What were the other reasons, tell me."

You have to roll your eyes. He pesters you until you start telling him the long, long list of reasons why you fell in love with him. Gojo's smiling into your skin, happily listening and dozing off.

"Angel? Did you fall asleep? Of course you did." you sigh, looking at your half-filled suitcase and the clock; your plane was going to depart in an hour.

Xavier stood still and silent. The sight of your precious face capturing his undivided attention.

He was alone with his thoughts, all jumbled and chaotic. He couldn't find it in himself to move away. Or allow himself to sit down.

He really shouldn't have- what the fuck was he thinking? Doing something as pathetic as this? But he just couldn't take it anymore. He really couldn't. Oh the things only you could do to him. He really didn't deserve you, did he? Flashing memories blotted his vision. Your coworkers constantly taking up the space around you. As if they deserved to be by your side. Deserved your precious attention. Something even he was self aware enough to know was too good for him. The fleeting touches. The subtle glances at you. The wary looks they gave him when he came near. All the things they must have been whispering to you about him. And how you didn't seem to notice the obvious scorn towards him, how they were trying to manipulate you. To bring the both of you apart. The rising fear that they might hurt you. It all coagulated together. Forming a sick, blistering poison in Xavier's heart. A suffocating pressure squeezing every last shred of rationality out of his husk of a body. A feeling he just couldn't push down any longer. He just couldn't let you go.

It's so selfish- He knows. The guilt burrowing into the marrow of his bones. But after everything... all of the loneliness. The isolation- Couldn't he just have this? Couldn't he have you? You so kind. Too kind for your own good, really. So precious, and patient, and oh so perfect- The first time Xavier had met you, your cheerful smile and clear eyes had captivated him instantly. But his heart was truly yours once you showed him what an open-minded and attentive person you were.

And he knew he didn't deserve you from that moment onward. Xavier looked down at your sleeping body, in his guest bed. Well... it was your bed now. He... he couldn't let you go after what he'd done. He hoped that you'd forgive him. No no no... he knew you'd forgive him. He was just protecting you after all. From the people who wanted to separate you from him, from the people who could hurt you, from this damned town full of untrustworthy snakes- Xavier would make it up to you. You'd see. He would spoil you with gifts, comfort you whenever you felt sad, provide you the warmth, care, and comfort you needed. He would give you his all. Cradling you in his arms; peppering soft, affectionate kisses on your forehead. Your heartbeats intertwined.

He just wanted you to stay here, with him, where you would be safe and happy.

First off.. congrats— It’s not an everyday occurrence that Keito gains feelings for someone, as a matter of fact... He’s kinda bewildered on why and how he feels the way he does with you, yes he's known you for a whole year now. yet, the way his heartbeat gets faster when he is around you... and how he can’t stop thinking about you from time to time during work.

At first, he assumed it was just a one-time-only occurrence: but then it started to happen every time he saw you. When he sees you being the playful person you are he can't help but clutch at his own heart without even noticing it.

He doesn’t acknowledge or admits it's a crush at first because he's the more logical type of person. Maybe there's some logic behind his feelings too. That is what he'd say to himself.

As a result of not knowing what these feelings are or how to control them, he ends up trying to distance himself away from you. As maybe it could make these feelings go away, but it only made his urge to see you stronger.

And oh, he finds your playfulness, rather cute! At first, he was confused even by the slightest boop on the nose! It has grown on him and now he likes it a lot ^°^ sometimes he even boops you back on occasion! as he turns his face away, crossing his arms and slowly walking out to prevent you from seeing his flustered face. (≧▽≦)

“boop !” as you leave a small tap on his nose, you could notice keito’s confused face but it was a tint rosier than usual. his mind is going “w—what are you doing?” . But he ends up booping you in return.

If you end up teasing him for doing so, he’ll turn his head being quite flustered! “w— what are you talking about..”

He'd say while adjusting his glasses nervously. You being extremely affectionate, and especially with him. Made his confused feelings, no better than they already were! Only made them more neglected and stunned! And... Also bigger— But it was still that clutching feeling at his gut.

He likes to observe the things you do and or say, and he ends up taking a deep liking and consideration to it! ( ꈍᴗꈍ) Remember saying you liked a certain clothes brand? He's going out right now to go buy you something from it!

When he's working , you can sometimes see him write your name on the computer or paper. When he acknowledges this mistake, his ears get just a tint redder (✿^‿^)

Occasionally while he's out shopping, he'll find something that reminds him of you and he insists on buying it as a gift! Or to keep for himself as a small token that reminds him of you.

Expect to see gifts on your work desk when you arrive every day! ( ╹▽╹ ) little sticky notes saying to take care of yourself, to eat well, and stay hydrated! And not to use all your very playful energy on anyone else but him..

You can't help but smile forwards those notes every time you see them!

Eichi was the first one to notice something's off with him, He wasn’t focused like he usually was and he was getting more and more ... Softer— each day. When he saw Keito buying flowers for you, that's when it clicked.

Keito has a love interest.

He didn't even need to tell Akatsuki because Tori just had to dish Keito out the second Souma and Kuro happened to step in the door and that's how they found out.

It took a long time for Keito to finally figure out these emotions properly and to admit it was something romantic, but after a few weeks .. he did it!

He's buying you flowers, your favorite chocolate, and a card for you to read in your free time.

If Keito knew no better he would confess to you inside that letter, but he chose not to and decided to do it face to face with you.

If you look close enough, you can see Tori, Kuro cheering him on and a very nervous Souma watching him confess to you underneath the cherry blossom tree.

bonus: eichi catches Kuro and Tori and it ends up embarrasses both of you good luck getting out of that one with Keito !!!

I just wanted to say I absolutely love your writing so much. kinda taking a bit from a lil happy rant I had to a friend about your fics- how leshy can't remember who the talking cards are but still has the same feelings from them, his panic and desperation to keep you alive and well enough to keep playing slowly turning into a comfortable, loving obsession, his neglected life outside of anything and how he behaves as if a deer in headlights when he now holds no power beyond that of the stats of his cards. the readers chill attitude to it all, perhaps using it as a form of escapism to ignore the fact they're stuck here and that every time they look outside a window it makes them feel sick, like something's wrong. they're all shrouded in mystery, guilt, confusion, but they're just making do. the small things get better. the game gets bigger and more exciting. it all continues, different this time, a lil happier. AAA the reader x leshy series is so COOL

also like!! your writing style and the literary devices used and the words and everything makes my brain so happy. I love analysing text and seeing all the methods used to make the story the story it is is so fun!! excited to read more in the future ❤️❤️

The isolation, the quiet maybes and unsures, the feeling of "this isn't right, but I don't want it to change". Leshy grips his player like a life line, as long as they are having fun an happy he could care less about anything else. Love is complex to speak of but easy to feel and Leshy really, truly, falls in love with his players.
