#I’m starting a new job on Monday #my last day at thsi job is today #I’ve turned on my out of office message #and now I’m just sitting at my packed up desk #I turn 30 tomorrow #literally end of an era isn’t it #I’m fucking sobbinggggggggggg #I loved this job #or at least I loved my coworkers #how am I just supposed to… move on #😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Finally, on Friday night, after my last day of work where I had to get up at 6:45 every day (and 6:30 if I didn’t want to be late), I am in bed by 10:30

#but I find solace in the fact that it’s because I’m so goddamn tired #BECAUSE I have been getting up at 6:45 for four months and haven’t been able to sleep #so. it’s fine actually #I can’t wait to start working at like 9 AM on Monday like a normal person #but also what IS my new job going to be like #I get to be A Linguist again but how does it work!!! #everything about this company is so proprietary and so secret!! #I had to sign an NDA and a couple other contracts that were like ‘no seriously. N D A.’ #but I do get an allowance to set up my wfh office so I better put that to good use.

Advice of the day… never overwork or stress yourself out over a 9-5 job. It doesn’t matter how bright-minded, hardworking, and innovative you are. A corporation cares more about their bottom line and filling a position than you.

So the next time you think about how you didn’t “do enough”… look at your paycheck and look at your mental health. Nine times out of ten this assessment will show you it isn’t worth it. Do your best and be done until those two variables improve. :)

#my spouse is going through a really rough patch #they’re spurning any attempt I make to comfort them #they’re not angry at my but they’re depressed and angry over life shit #but the sullen muttering and radiating aura of anger #is triggering really bad anxiety for me #it’s been days of this #they’re like a volcano #rarely upset but when upset they stay that way for long periods #I don’t even really want to be near them right now #I’ve got my own stressors (I’m starting a new job Monday and has to say goodbye to all my coworkers yesterday) #I just want a peaceful home for the next day or so #but when I try to comfort or reassure them they just INSIST I’m wrong #that everything is terrible and will never be okay #they’re clinging to their negativity and anger #I guess it feels better to be angry than accept that life sucks sometimes

I will be honest. I am having a hard time.

#last month we had to move my boyfriend very quickly into a new apartment because his lease was not renewed #and I had to use almost all my savings on that #my mom got married last week and she’s really bad at planning #so I had to pick up a lot of slack for her #I got shafted on my shift bid and am starting it today #it’s 12:30 to 9 Monday thru Thursday #this is the worst shift I could’ve gotten #which means my stats are terrible and I’m lucky I’m keeping my job #but also they tell me they like me? Idk how to feel #plus my bf works nights and has trouble waking up #so I’m terrified he’s going to get fired if I’m unable to be there to wake him up #I still work my second job one day a week which does not pay nearly as well #but if this new schedule destroys my life I will have to go back to it #I feel like such a failure #also don’t remember when I got my period last #I’m terrified of everything right now #I’ve taken a few pregnancy tests in the last couple weeks and they’ve all been negative but my god #idk what I’m gonna do if that happens #personal

#the person who invented hair dye has done so much for us unstable girlies #I finally found my perfect ginger shade bc while I love bright ginger hair it doesn’t feel right on me. so now I’m darker hehe #and I like the colour so much and feel calmer as feel :) I start a new job on Monday and I’m nervous bc it’s a completely new field #but dying my hair made me feel so much more in control. and the result is good so I feel like a new chapter should be good #I’m completely delusional
