Hi T! How are you? Hope you’re doing well, and that you have a fun summer planned ahead!

My summer’s pretty busy so far😅

The first week I basically do nothing, then the second week I’m volunteering at a church camp and then a basketball camp in the afternoon, and then I have another camp with my friend down in Cocoa Beach (hello from the Sunshine State! 🤗), then the weekend of the next week I have a girls trip planned, and then I drive down to Miami on the first of July and stay there for two days with my friends until we get on a Disney Cruise on the third (with more friends we’re meeting), that lasts five days.

That’s all I have so far (and what I remember).

*turns around like an evil business woman, stroking dog bc I’m allergic to cats* ohhoho. So you want me to drop the htid!Schlatt theory, yeah? Well, you’re in for such a mentally ill treat because I have multiple.

To start with my thoughts on our favorite wittle Schlatty watty, it’s pretty implied that home boy is an alcoholic and dilf (derogatory). Double homicide right there. Anyways. I’m betting money that he was the type of guy who peaked in high school and used that to his advantage. Schlatt was probably the President of the debate or stuco club and Quackity was probably some freshman who was struggling to feel validated at home or by close friends. It’s very easy for people with insecurities ti get wrapped up with people who offer the tiniest amount of admiration. (His parents weren’t supportive, but owemji girlypop was like “when he calls me fatty patty😍”)

Sorry, I’m a Quackity apologist, it’s my nature. Back to Schlatt. (I also imagine Schlatt came from money, which was also something that made him appealing to Quackity at a young age. this is relevant I swear) So thanks to peaking in highschool and probably loosing the last shred of youth he had left when Quackity finally broke free from that relationship, Schlatt probably found what kept him young was the aftermath of teen drinking. That buzz was enjoyable back when he was care free and had everything he ever wanted, so why stop now. There comes a point in alcoholism that it fucks up your life so hard that you drink to forget how hard it fucked you until you’ve just been fucked more. (Rip bro. Beer doesn’t use lube *laughtrack*)

When Quackity left him, Schlatt was probably broken. That was the last thing still tying him to being some life of the party highschool kid, and now his sugarpumpkin was getting to be a highschool kid while he was sitting through a college lecture about business with his best friend The Flask™️ since his dad told him to grow up. Speaking of growing up, that’s where our little Tubster begins. I bet Schlatt’s dad wasn’t involved too much with his life other than being a god awful role model, so Q was his only chance at a happily ever after and he destroyed that chance by mimicking his dads shit examples of how to treat your bitch. If I’m right, and Schlatt was expected to follow in his fathers footsteps (like most rich, peak in highschool, stuco kids are) then he probably just forced himself to drop any chance of being happy and upon his first year of working in some shitty office job, he made a fake ass love connection with the receptionist because god forbid the apple fall far from the tree.

Not long after, Schlatt was probably left with a newborn and a woman who no matter how hard he tried he couldn’t love because that just wasn’t him. Now it’s him and a baby and a bottle of bourbon and that’s his life now. All sad. Probably works at his dads office and will inherit the family business. He probably shows up to holiday parties with random girls he convinced he could love short term and he probably treats them just as all the other cooperate douche canoes treat their seventy second wives.

Schlatt mourns the loss of Quackity even if he knows he treated him poorly and did god awful things to him. He’s fully aware of what an awful person he’s been and he tells himself it’s all downhill anyways. He tries to pass these ideas onto Tubbo just like his father did to him, but Tubbo never cared for the Women his dad brought home (they never stayed long) or for the way that their liquor cabinet stayed more stocked than the pantry. They aren’t poor, but Schlatt thinks that means they are happy. He knows his mistakes, but if he has that glass in his hand then the mistakes aren’t there anymore.

Side note

I absolutely imagine that Schlatt had been called into a teacher conference once to talk about his son’s failing math grade, and is now banned from the school because he tried to (drunkenly and forcibly) (ever the charmer, eh?) rekindle something with his ex who was still coping from his fiancé being in a coma.

At some point Schlatt probably said something along the lines of “no one would ever have to know, sugar. Just me and you, like the good times. You remember those, right? I remember them. I wish you would’ve stayed, I never meant to hurt you. I’m a changed man now, baby.” Then there was a pause. “And you’ve changed to by the looks of how well that ass fills those pants.”

Quackity proceeded to press the office call button and make eret deal with this. That night he ordered new pants that were bigger because he hated feeling so objectified again.

Side side note

Wilbur has probably grabbed Quackity’s ass before and not understood why his boyfriend shuts down because Quackity shoved that trauma about as far away as Schlatt tried to shove the term gay back in the closet.

(Also I’m fully aware this isn’t relevant and will most likely never be used in the actual fic. I just like Schlatt because he’s such an interesting character when you take a step back)

I got covid. It was no worse than a cold, but it still felt strange to finally get it. All in all I guess I didn’t have a bad year.

Of course you can! I’m really glad you enjoy my work! Not going to lie, it took a minute to remember characters that weren’t reapers. In my ideal world, they’re the only characters, lol.

Grell (again):

She is surprisingly willing to catch and hold bugs with you.

Though, she definitely does it more to see how happy you look than anything else. It’s not really her thing.

But, she does enjoy whenever there’s a lady bug. She really understands the whole ‘black and red’ thing. 🐞

Expect, just, so many bug-themed pet names. So, so many.

Her perfume is very floral so bugs are constantly landing on her.

Will:

Overall, Will is pretty passive about the whole thing.

He definitely has a favourite. While looking longingly at a hive, you once heard him say that “bees are more efficient than everyone at the dispatch combined”. So that answers that question. 🐝

No matter what, he will always prefer watching and feeding the birds more than insects.

At the very least, he has finally stopped feeding the birds insects.

The two of you could watch dragonflies for way too long.

Watching him try and watch a dragon while it’s farting all around him is like when a cat is trying to chase a bug, just contrast head swivels and confused looks. It’s adorable.

Alan grows flowers in a small garden in his backyard. You didn’t realise how perfect it was until spring.

Every now and then, the butterflies will flock to the flowers by the dozen. Similarly, they’re his favourite. 🦋

On the days when he’s feeling sick, the two of you will just curl up in the backyard and let them land on and around you both.

When he is getting a little antsy, dates at butterfly gardens are a very common occurrence, given he’s feeling up for it.

It’s all about the beetles, man... they’re just so colourful and cool looking... 🪲

As a rule of thumb, he isn’t a fan of bugs. Except spiders, he fucking loves spiders.

Remember how I said Will would let birds eat bugs. Well, Claude skips the middleman and just eats them himself. It’s something about being a spider, I guess...

With her eyesight, she’s a great helper when it comes to identifying different species from afar.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for working up close.

But, she is more than willing to show you around the manor gardens, especially if her and Finny had seen an influx of insect life around the area.

She doesn’t really have a favourite. She likes all the colourful/fluffy ones equally. Especially moths...

Dude, seriously take the cake topper idea and run with it! I am all for supporting unconventional wedding ideas.

Our cake was actually giant brownies, mini cheesecakes, and (not pictured) rice crispy treats because one of our guests was severely allergic to eggs.

I still laugh at how big a brownie was needed to for Snorlax.

Tell us more about your new foster dog 😍😍😍😍 are their PICTURES????

He’s wonderful!!! Very new to being in a house and the concept of being a pet because he was a little street dog. We try to rehab these guys and it’s hard for us to find a dog that can stay in our house because I’m allergic to most dogs, but we are hoping not this one, he looks like he’s got some poodle in him...cross your fingers for me!!! But either way, it is just so heartwarming to take in a scared little guy and see him become so happy. I wish I could share pictures but I think my partner would prefer I not on my random anonymous tumblr, she’s pretty private.  He is sooooo affectionate. We literally can’t be in the same room without him trying to cuddle up. It is very much the way I am too so I appreciate it :D

"So guess what?” Iris said, looking at you. “Liam asked me about you yesterday, again" she said approaching the table where you sat with Caitlin, Barry and Cisco, the latter one rolling his eyes. "I think he really likes you" Iris told you. "Are you interested?"

"Oh, w-well, um-" you said blushing a little as you quickly looked at Cisco, who seemed to be the one that was paying more attention to what you were going to say. "No- not really" you said politely.

"What why not?" Iris said frowning her eyebrows.

"Well, he's not really my type?"

"What? Tall and incredibly handsome is not your type?" Caitlin said as she eyed the barista while he made your drinks.

"He's not that... tall" you said weakly.

"He's taller than Barry" Iris told you.

"Yeah, well, he's not that handsome" you said rolling your eyes.

"Are you kidding? Even I think he's pretty" Barry admitted.

"Whatever. I'm just not really interested, but thanks, Iris" you said nervously.

The truth was, you had been, well... seeing Cisco for about three months now. The problem was, you had no idea what you two were. It started one late night at S.T.A.R. Labs and it just kept happening. You hid it from Team Flash, not really wanting them to meddle in... well, whatever this was. To be honest you felt like Cisco didn't want to tell anyone because this wasn't something as serious for him as it was for you. You knew he wasn't that kind of guy but you couldn't help to feel that way since it was him that didn't want to say anything. And for Cisco, the bigger problem was, whenever you came to Jitters, Liam, the new barista, couldn't keep his eyes off you and he hated that fact.

"Here you go guys" he said walking to the table handing everyone their drink. "Cappuccino" he said giving Barry his cup. "Latte" he gave Cisco his as he kept his glare. "Double americano" he said giving Caitlin hers. "And cold coffee" he said placing your drink in front of you as he smiled widely.

"Um, thank you" you said politely as Iris nodded her head towards Liam from behind.

"Uh, I added this new hazelnut syrup that we just got, it's amazing and I thought you'd like it" he said winking at you. That pretty much did it for Cisco.

"Oh, um, that's very sweet of you but actually-"

"She's allergic to nuts!" Cisco snapped at him.

"Oh my God" Liam said quickly grabbing the drink from the table. "I am so sorry I had no idea- I just thought-"

"No, it's okay-" you started.

"Well, of course, you had no idea because you don't even know her!" Cisco said still upset.

"Cisco" you said widening your eyes at him.

"Dude, calm down. It was an accident" Barry said as confused as everyone else.

"Yeah, and he told her before she drank it. Everything is fine" Caitlin told him.

"Really, I didn't mean to I just thought-"

"You just thought what? It'd be fun to kill someone today?"

"CISCO!" you, Caitlin, and Iris said at the same time.

"No! Man, I swear I just-"

"Liam, it's fine. Really, you didn't know and nothing happen, it's okay. It was very nice of you" you assured him, knowing that he already felt like shit.

"Are you kidding me? You're taking his side? He almost killed you!"

"Francisco! That's enough!" you said getting up and pulling him by his arm so you two could go outside.

"So... we should probably get back to work" Iris said breaking the tension as she pulled Liam out of the scene and left Barry and Caitlin alone.

"That was... not weird... at all" Barry said looking at the door.

"Right... is not like we should... go... listen to what they're arguing... I mean, we shouldn't eavesdrop on our friends or-"

"There's a free table by the window" Barry interrupted her. Caitlin quickly grabbed her drink as did Barry and before they said anything else, they had front-row seats to Cisco and you arguing outside.

"Cisco, what the hell is your problem?" you asked once you were outside.

"My problem? My problem? That guy almost murdered you!"

"You do know that a murder has intent, right?"

"Oh, this is not a good moment for one of your lectures" he said glaring at you.

"Look, Liam had no idea I was allergic to nuts, he told me before I drank it and even if I did, Caitlin always has an extra EpiPen!"

"That's not the point!" he snapped.

"No? Then what exactly is your point, Cisco?"

"Why is he adding special things to your drink?" he asked bitterly and you let out a loud scoff.

"Oh, so you're jealous?" you said crossing your arms in front of your chest.

"What? No! Jealous? Why would I be jealous? I'm not jealous!" he rambled on.

"Say it one more time, and I might believe you" you said with a smirk and he glared at you.

"I am not jealous" he said glaring at you.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes! I'm sure!" he snapped.

"Cisco... it's okay if you're jealous" you said getting nervous.

"Don't be ridiculous" he said with a scoff. "Why would I be jealous?"

Your amusement suddenly turned into anger. Did you really mean that little to him?

"So, you wouldn't mind if I go out on a date with him?" you asked, trying to test him.

"N-no" Cisco said stubbornly.

"Really?"

"Yes, really, why would I care who you go out with?"

"Well, I don't know, just right now you were making a big fuss about Liam putting something in my drink-"

"Something that almost killed you!"

"So that's it? That's really the only reason you cared?" you asked, now feeling a little hurt. "Really, Cisco? You'd rather ignore the fact that there's something going on with us than admit you're jealous?"

"There's-"

"What? There's nothing going on with us?" you snapped. Cisco opened his mouth to reply but closed it back when nothing came out. "Wow" you said with a bitter chuckle. "Well, I guess that clears it out" you said with a sad smile. "Thanks for letting me know how you feel, Cisco" you said before walking back into Jitters.

"No, wait-" he tried to stop you but you were already back inside and talking to Liam much to his dismay. "Dammit!"

"Thank you so much for dinner" you told Liam as he walked you back to your apartment.

"I should be the one thanking you" he replied with a smile. "For finally saying yes to go on a date with me" he said with a chuckle.

"To be fair, you had not asked me out on a date before" you argued.

"Well, only because I didn't think you were into me" he admitted as you reached the entrance of your building. "I had a lot of fun tonight" he said holding your hand.

"Yeah, me too" you said with a sad smile. It had been two days since your fight with Cisco. You had never gone that long without talking to him and every second that passed just made your heart break all over again, thinking that he really didn't care about you. At all.

"But?" Liam asked and you looked at him confused.

"What do you mean?"

"Look, I like you... a lot" he said. "But I have the feeling you don't really reciprocate those feelings" he said.

"Liam, I'm sorry, is not you is-"

"Is that guy, isn't it? The one who almost murder me when I put hazelnut on your coffee?"

"How did you-?"

"Wild guess" he said politely before he leaned down to kiss your cheek. "He's a lucky guy" he told you. "And I really did have a lot of fun" he told you again. "I'm hoping we can still be friends?"

"I'd like that" you said hugging him. "Good night, Liam."

"Good night" he said before walking away. You watched him walk away and sighed to yourself.

"You can come out now" you said to no one in particular before you saw the bushes move and Cisco revealing himself from behind them. "So now you're spying on me?"

"How did you know I was there?"

"Oh, well, I don't know, I'd like to think that maybe after all these years, I know a few things about you, but maybe that's just me since there was really nothing going on with us so- goodnight, Cisco-" you said about to go inside your building but Cisco stopped you.

"No, wait" he said gently pulling you back. "Please. I'm sorry" he said looking down. You turned around and faced him, crossing your arms.

"I'm listening" you said.

"Look, I... I didn't mean what I said the other day. I was- I am jealous of Liam" he admitted. "I mean, how can I not be? I don't know, i-it's hard sometimes. Everywhere you go, guys hit on you, even if I'm standing right there. And they're all taller than me. Why is everyone taller than me?" he said getting upset and you held back a smile at how cute he looked rambling. "I liked you from the moment you walked into S.T.A.R. Labs and tripped and fell on me" he admitted. "And the moment that I finally kissed you three months ago-"

"I kissed you" you corrected.

"Whatever. That was the happiest moment of my life! Because I had no idea how you could want someone like me" he told you. "You are so perfect and I am just... me and I guess I just wanted to keep it from everyone because I was afraid that once it was out there, it would become too good to be real and you would come to your senses and you wouldn't want to be with someone like me" he admitted sadly. "You should be with someone like Liam, I mean the guy's perfect-"

"Stop it, Cisco" she said stepping closer to him. "First off, he's not perfect-"

"Oh, come on, even I know the guy is pretty-"

"I'm still talking, Ramon" you stopped him. "He is not perfect, Cisco. Not for me. You are" you added. "How can you think I would not be with someone like you? You're the best person that I know and I was beyond happy when we started... well, whatever this thing was but I just thought, it might have not been as serious for you as it was for me so... I guess it was better for me to not lose you because I felt lucky enough to just be with you somehow but I just..."

"Just what?"

"Well, I didn't think you'd feel the same way since you didn't care that much and you pretty much said there was nothing going on with us-"

"I know and I am so sorry. I didn't mean that. That was stupid because I love you! I just-"

"You love me?" you said, feeling your heart flutter.

"Of course I love you. Haven't you been listening to a word I've said?"

"Yeah, but you never said you loved me" you said with a nervous laugh. "I uh, kinda love you too" you said blushing a little.

"Kinda?"

"Well, I do but you've been kind of a jerk the past couple of days" you pouted.

"I won't argue with you there" he said getting closer to you. "I wouldn't think you would... give me another chance?"

"Hmm, I might have to be a little convinced" you said as Cisco wrapped his arms around you waist and you placed yours on his shoulders.

"I think I can help with that" he said before leaning down to capture your lips in his. You could feel his smile against your lips and you brought him closer as you deepened the kiss. "So, would you like to go on a date with me, love?" he asked once you broke apart but he still held you close.

"I thought you'd never ask" you replied with a smile before stepping on your toes and kissing him again.
