Okay the follow up question

How often does the concept of princess besides all the supernatural stuff is essentially a captive woman that wants freedom affect your perception of the story?

I think it really hits hardest in the Spectre route. She seems so mournful, hurt, angry, and rightfully so. She genuinely just wants to get out and see the nonexistent world, and it’s so melancholy the way she sadly floats around, even if she’s willing to kill you. Frankly Spectre is one of my favorite vessels because she seems like she knows more than she’s letting on, like she’s an actual person outside of the situation she’s in.

Alot of the routes she straight up turns into a murder friendly monster (rightfully so, I mean we do try to kill her) but that makes it difficult to sympathize for her situation. In adversary she straight up doesn’t care about getting out, (ironically, the eye of the needle is pretty much the only one with multiple sprites of the woods when you fight her out there. Some of the others get out but get immediately nuked, thought that was interesting) and in witch she actively sabatoges her one chance at doing so.

Damsel is nice, but almost too nice. Too trusting of a random stranger. Her affection feels surface level at times, but she’s very fun regardless. You feel bad for her initially, but she doesn’t seem all that worked up about it (when you stab her she dies with a smile on her face) so even though you can see it probably hurts there’s not a lot of sympathy for her.

Prisoner really gives the ‘I’m just trying to get out’ vibes, mostly in how she is trying to collaborate with you to get out. She’s ruthless and unforgiving, but it makes sense. She’s unsure and doesn’t know exactly what’s going on, so she tries to mediate our character into a favorable position for her. If all goes well we help her escape. Whether by waiting for eons or carrying her head out, she fulfills that desire.

Drowned and burned gray are both what happens when you betray someone who thought they could trust you. I know that’s kinda witches thing, but witch got betrayed pretty soon after the first good thing we did to her. We helped both damsel and prisoner get out once, but then turned on them the second time, making them both very, very angry. (Drowned gray freaked me out the most, honestly. The bloated corpse got me - uuuuuuuurrrrrghhhhhhhh nooooooooooo) Much like Spectre, they’re ghosts of vengeance. Spirits of betrayal. She really just wanted to get out.

Nightmare was one of the first routes I saw, which was, you know, pretty spooky. In that case you really do get the idea that she’s a danger to the world as well as a captive who wants to get out. Both ideas simultaneously. Stranger is… interesting. You get more of the horror vibes from that route in the main game. Still wish there was something for og stranger idea (the hive) but ey what ya gonna do. She’s too spooky to think of her as just a poor girl trapped in a basement lol

It came a lot more when watching the first couple demos, where the game was still kind of unsure of what it was. The princess taking you aside after every thing you do to her and saying how much she loves you kinda dampens the effects of the individual vessels, I think. It also makes you think of her less as a poor captive, because when she ‘dies’ she doesn’t really die, when she gets ‘hurt’ she doesn’t bear the scars.

Part of the Experience

My fatal flaw is that I think Kiss Cams are romantic and I know they’re probably very problematic but for the sake of Huntlow fluff let’s ignore that for now okay thanks

“This is so exciting Captain!” Hunter exclaimed for probably the fifteenth time since they arrived. He was nearly jumping out of his skin as they finally approached their seats, Hunter carefully reviewing the section listed on the paper as though he didn’t have it memorized.

“This is gonna be awesome!” Agreed Willow, who had spent all morning getting them decked out in matching swag to support their favorite pro flyer derby team, complete of course with face paint. “Aw man if you think the Entrails are good you’re gonna freak when you see the Sirens!”

“I mean, they’re no Mirages but I guess they’re okay,” said Gus, referring to his favorite team who were off this week.

“I’m sure they’re both equally skilled,” said Hunter, taking his seat. “But did we have to get so many snacks? Won’t it make cheering more difficult?”

“Getting too many overpriced snacks is a part of the experience!” Said Willow brightly. “And we’re pulling out all the stops to make sure this is the best day ever for you!”

“Well, if I’m with you then it will be,” said Hunter simply before turning his attention to the field to watch the teams warm up. He genuinely meant it, but the sentiments still turned Willow’s cheeks a faint shade of crimson under her golden face paint.

“Alright! So the now that we have our snacks we need to find you a player to root for.”

“Wait, don’t I root for the whole team?”

“Well yeah, but it’s part of the experience to pick a player and root extra hard for them,” said Willow. “Sometimes the field gets crowded and you can’t see everything at once so you focus on that player. Like mine is number 8, Ariana Wingtip. She was on the plant track and is the youngest player ever to pull a triple trick which is-.”

“Oh! When a player captures three flags in the first three minutes before the other team captures any!” Finished Hunter eagerly, having been up all night reading up on flyer derby terms and history.

“Exactly!” Willow confirmed, her heart racing for some reason. “Now, which player do you think you’ll wanna root for?”

“Hmm, which one is the Captain?”

“Hunter, you don’t have to root for the Captain just because I’m your Captain,” said Willow, lovingly rolling her eyes hoping he wouldn’t listen.

“But the Captain is the most important player,” he said plainly, indirectly complimenting her. “They’re the backbone of the team, they’re a source of wisdom and leadership. Without them the whole thing unravels, their mere presence has the ability to inspire and brighten the whole-.”

“She’s down there,” said Gus, pointing out the Captain of the Sirens before Hunter could start monologuing about how inspiring Willow was. Again.

“Oh, okay,” said Hunter following Gus’ finger to find her on the field. “I should have known,” Hunter scoffed as though it was so obvious now. “She’s the Captain so of course she’s the most beautiful player.”

“What?” said Willow and Gus together. Willow was torn between being a little jealous that Hunter thought the Sirens Captain was beautiful and being flustered that he associated being a captain with being beautiful.

But Hunter was also painfully aware of what he had said. “I mean, not that you have to be beautiful to be captain I mean you just happen to be- I mean she is! I mean, n-n-not that I think she’s more beautiful than you! No one is! I mean, not in the same way, but that’s because-.”

“The game is starting!” Declared Gus, jumping out of his seat and saving Hunter yet again. Willow jumped on her feet as well, though she was a tad disappointed the rambling couldn’t have continued for awhile longer.

“Okay, so when your player enters the field you have to scream as loud as you can,” explained Willow. “To show your support!”

“Right, of course!” Said Hunter, clutching his overly sized soft drink in one hand and his flag donning the Sirens’ logo in the other. He listened to to the things exclaimed by those around him, as he determined the best phrase to convey his loyalty. Without a second thought, he yelled: “I love you Captain!”

Willow noted he never specified which one...

The game was amazing. It was faster and somehow more violent than at Hexside. The crowd was loud and obnoxious and Hunter quickly learned that it was common to yell at the referee but only when the call was against your team (even if it was technically right). Gus even helped him initiate something called “the wave” which he thought was a ridiculous pranks but soon the motion spread across the stadium and Hunter felt elated.

“Wait, now what’s going on?” Hunter asked as the players left the field. “It’s too early for the game to be over, right?”

“Oh it’s half time,” explained Willow. “Only pro matches really observe it. It’s to give the teams time to rest and strategize and the audience can like go to the bathroom and get more snacks without fear of missing any of the action.”

“Oh, well how long does it last?”

“Like 15 minutes,” said Gus. “But they do funny things on the jumbo screen to help pass the time, look!”

Hunter turned his gaze and saw the screen was finding people in the audience to compare to celebrities. Hunter wasn’t sure how accurate the comparison was, but everyone seemed to be having a good time.

“Willow has always wanted to end up on the jumbo screen,” explained Gus as Hunter saw the determination in her eyes as the screen changed to a new format.

“And this time it’s gonna happen!” She declared, summoning the oversized poster she had made and held it high over her head. “No one can deny I’m the Sirens biggest fan!”

“Oh! I can wave my foam hand around to help get their attention!” Hunter offered excitedly, standing up with her.

“It’s a foam finger,” Gus corrected.

“The whole thing is foam, Gus,” said Hunter as he continued his mission of helping Willow fulfill her dream. The camera seemed to land everywhere else until finally, they saw themselves.

“We did it, Captain!” He announced victoriously. “Look there you are! Gus take a picture! Look! And it says... what does it say?”

“It’s the Kiss Cam,” said Gus smugly. “It means you have to kiss.”

“That’s... not in any manual I’ve read,” said Hunter confused as he looked and saw him and Willow on the screen with a heart around them.

“It’s just a silly tradition,” said Willow with a laugh, waving at the screen. She went up onto her tip toes and leaned forward to give Hunter a gentle kiss on the cheek. The kiss cam accepted and moved on as Hunter’s hand hovered the spot she had kissed in disbelief. It’s just part of the experience, he thought to himself. What an... experience.

They watched as the Kiss Cam cut to other parts of the stadium and Hunter couldn’t help but notice that every other couple it landed on were clearly a romantic couple and who kissed enthusiastically on the lips. Had they not done it correctly?

As he wondered this, the Kiss Cam displayed him and Willow once again and Hunter saw her eyes widen in surprise. Was appearing twice unusual? Willow seemed to understand the reason as she laughed and gestured for the camera to pan away. It was her dream to be on the jumbo screen, why would she tell it to leave? Maybe they had done it wrong.

The camera obliged and found another couple as Hunter asked what the reason was for their second appearance.

“I think it wants us to like really kiss,” she explained, her voice trying to brush it off as some impossible hypothetical. “It must think we’re like dating or something. It happens sometimes, it’s just... part of the experience.”

“Oh, yeah sure.” said Hunter. “Of course, that makes sense.”

As though on cue, they were on the screen yet again. Hunter turned his eyes to the ground, knowing he couldn’t convincingly tell the camera he had no interest in kissing Willow. She took the lead and instructed it playfully to pan away, despite insistence from the people around them.

“Wow, it uh really wants us to kiss, huh?” said Hunter after the camera had left them.

“Yeah I guess so,” said Willow with a light chuckle.

“I mean... if it happens again... and you want to...” Hunter started to say.

“Oh, uh well I don’t think it’ll come again,” said Willow bashfully, but still an expert on how the sporting event typically functioned.

“You sure about that, Park?” asked Gus mischievously as he pointed up to the screen. Sure enough, there was her and Hunter yet again.

The crowd had become invested at this point. They needed to see the bit be completed. They watched the two teens exchange looks and could tell what was going on between them, even if they couldn’t. They starred to chant.

KISS! KISS! KISS!

The camera did not pan away this time, instead it actually zoomed in on them. Hunter worried the game wouldn’t start until they gave into mob mentality. He was also silently a part of the mob.

KISS! KISS! KISS!

Willow saw Hunter looking at her on the screen. He did not seem mortified or embarrassed, just as though he was concerned with how she felt. He was waiting on her but she couldn’t help but hope that he was ready to follow the prompt long before the peer pressure had started.

“Well,” she began, fumbling with her braid. “If you’re okay with it I guess we could-.”

The minute permission was granted, Hunter lunged forward and swiftly wrapped one arm around her waist as the other supported her head as he lead her in a dramatic dip. In one bold movement, he placed his lips on hers and provided the jumbo screen with a truly epic kiss.

The crowd went absolutely wild.

But somehow the sound of Willow’s heart beating was even louder than the roaring cheers of the fans around her. Her arms instinctively reached up as one anchored around Hunter’s neck and the other gently cupped his cheek as she happily kissed him back, much to his surprise and delight.

It certainly lasted much longer than the other jumbo screen kisses had and the operators used that to their advantage and made it the grand finale of half time, adding effects like hearts and fireworks around the edges of the screen. Soon, it was time to cut back to the field as the match was starting back up but Willow and Hunter didn’t seem to notice at first as they were... otherwise occupied.

“They cut away from you guys like two minutes ago,” said Gus with a smirk as he reached over to steal Hunter’s drink, having finished his own.

They both opened their eyes at the same time, not realizing they had closed them, and saw it was true and everyone was now focused on the field again.

“Right,” said Willow removing her arms from around a Hunter as she adjusted her glasses that had tilted in the... commotion. “Yeah we should uh, we should sit down.”

“Yes of course,” agreed Hunter with a nervous laugh as though he had forgotten whey they were there. “Sports! Yeah...”

He followed Willow’s suit as he took his seat and looked around in confusion as to where his drink had gone to.

“Thanks for uh, helping me get on the jumbo screen,” said Willow still trying to catch her breath as she settled into her seat.

“Yeah, of course. Any time.” said Hunter trying to focus on the game in front of him but his eyes could not be removed from the stunning girl beside him. He noticed that in his... haste, the face paint Willow had so skillfully applied for both of them had become smudged. But if she noticed, she didn’t seem to mind one bit. “I just, uh, wanted to make it jumbo screen worthy, ya know?”

“It was,” said Willow quickly. Boy, was it ever.

“Oh, well uh good.” Hunter said, clearing his throat. “I wonder why the camera kept coming back to us so many times.”

Slime HRT Bonus: At the Clinic

The woman with a blue tint stepped out of the doctor's office, she didn't seem very happy. She was about to leave the waiting room and go about her day, but then she stopped and noticed another. one who already looked so much like the kind of slime she wanted to become. The woman with the blue tint approached the slime. “Um, excuse me, could I ask you a question?”

The amber colored slime looks up from her phone and tilts her head - which had the facial musculature visible through a thin layer of slime - before replying “Um, sure, I guess?” She asks, adjusting her position to better talk with the other woman.

The woman with the blue tint reflexively braced herself. “I don't want to sound rude, we're taking the same stuff, I think, but, well um, do you feel better? With your new self? Sorry, that's probably rude to ask.

The other slime chuckles “Ah, that explains the coloring, I was wondering,” She replies “And yes, I definitely feel better - marked improvement over all that flesh and bone,” She held up her arm, the limb rippling like a wave to accentuate her point “If you exclude the ones stubbornly hanging on,” She added, gesturing to her torso, where her rib cage and spine are visible through her translucent slime. “And I don’t think that’s a rude question, it’s genuine for one, and you’re gonna be dealing with all this eventually, so of course you’re curious about it,” She explains “You’ve just started, yes? A few months in? If that isn’t rude of me to ask?”

“Yeah, I think it's been three so far. I just get really nervous about this sort of thing, it's not exactly a reversible change, but it's not one I thought would be so difficult, you know? Also I have to know if you can wiggle the bones in you. I'm just really curious.”

She chuckles and nods, looking around for a second before discretely reaching inside herself and wiggling her ribs a little, wincing ever so slightly “These don’t move nearly as much as the arms and legs did, and it does twinge a little since you kinda also jiggle your spine,” She explains, removing her hand from inside herself “But yeah, you can definitely wiggle all your bones once you get there,” She says with a grin “And yeah, I don’t blame you, I’d be lying if I hadn’t had concerns at the start too, but I promise it’s worth it, even if certain points are less than fun,” The woman’s eye twitches a little as she finished speaking.

“Would you mind telling me a bit more about it? Your experience I mean. If that's alright. I just have a lot of questions.” The woman nervously sits down next to you. “After your appointment I mean, or before, company can be nice when you're waiting.”

The woman looks over at the doctor’s door before looking back to the other girl “I’m happy too, I don’t know how long we’ll have before being called but I can tell you what I can now,” She replies “Good way to kill time,” She adds with a smile “What do you want to know?”

“I won't ask you why a slime, I think we both know it's not easy to put into words and it's just there for jerks to shame us… Do you also get a bad vibe from that quack doctor? Like it's not just me right, he's really rude all the time, like he doesn't even want to be there.” She dodges the question in her own mind but the one she sends you is charming enough.

“Yeah, he strikes me as an ‘ex-evil scientist’” The woman replies “And he does seem a little… reluctant to be doing this - but I’m not gonna worry about his reticence, the results speak for themselves,” She waves a gooey arm again “Also I don’t necessarily think ‘why a slime’ is such a bad question, so long as it isn’t jerks trying to shame us,” She offered “I mean, I think it’s kind of a fair question - why throw away your humanity? and why throw it away to become a gelatinous blob?” She says “I mean, ‘cause it’s freaking awesome and bones suck, but,” She mutters playfully with a slight smirk 

“But?” The woman hangs on your words, clearly interested in everything. She puzzles over the explanation of becoming a slime, but everyone has their own reasons, and there's always another time to ask hers.

“Well, I mean, but I guess humans don’t really see it that way,” The slime replies with a rippling shrug “Kinda helps me feel more like I chose right though - a human would never choose this, so clearly I’m not human,” She says with a grin “By the way, I can see you’re a different color than me, what kinda slime are you?” She added

“Oh? Oh! Right. Um… I am a soap slime, I think. I mean I know I am. It's like something close to soap, it makes me very slippery. To be honest I also came here to make sure I didn't get a concussion when I slipped into some cookware, heh heh.” She laughs like her injury was a lackluster joke at some two-bit pub. “I guess I never really felt human either, at least sometimes I don't. I guess I'm just really indecisive, being a slime lets you be anything you want to be, with some annoying limits, I actually somehow convinced that doctor to make adjustments for me to better shapeshift my color and texture. It's the one thing I let myself be adamant about.”

“Ooooh, a soap slime, that's neat!” The woman replies “But yeah, that slippyness sounds dangerous especially while you've still got all the fragile bones ‘nd stuff,” She adds, gesturing to the comparatively human slime before her “Also ditto on the indecision - while I'm absolutely loving the slime, I actually started this as a base for shapeshifter HRT - I wanna be able to be anything, and any mixture of things and while this-” her hand shifts into a hammer shape- “is very cool, it's not quite as good as I'd like,'' She confesses, shifting her hand back to digits.

“Shapeshifter huh? Maybe I should ask about it. Sounds like it could be nice, but what about it could be better? I mean it seems like you can morph yourself however you want. Sorry if that’s rude to ask, but I can’t help but get interested in this stuff. I think a dream job of mine would be to help counsel people like us, be the kind of person that could find the perfect prescription for those who aren’t sure. It’s a bit of a silly reason, but if I want to pursue something like that, I’d like to hear all the downs that come with the ups of being a shapeshifting slime.

“Huh, I’d never even thought about that, but yeah, I guess some people might need more guidance or help dealing with some of the changes - there’s been a couple where having a little help would have been much appreciated,” The slime confesses “And yeah, I wanna become a shapeshifter ‘cause while slime shifting/morphing is good, it’s a little limited compared to what I want,” She tells the blue tinted woman “As a slime I can alter the shape of my body, but not really the color or composition.” She explains “So I can make my hand into a knife-” Her hand changes shape once again, this time looking like a blade- “But I can’t make it metal, for example,” She says, shifting the limb back to normal “Nor can I alter the color - which reminds me I’ve been meaning to dye my hair,” She adds, brushing her hair - which was also slime - aside a little “Turns out it only takes food coloring for that,” They says with a smile “But yeah, as much as I absolutely love being a slime, I wanna go full slime shapeshifter - a slimeshifter if you will,” She finishes with a chuckle.

The not yet a slime woman laughs with you. “I get that, I’m actually kicking myself since I only learned about the food coloring trick a couple weeks ago. I’ve actually only recently tried looking up a bunch of tips for slimes, it’s a little hard with how few slimes there actually are, and even fewer who post about it on the internet. I’ve heard that some sleep in a bucket cause they can’t hold their shape when they sleep.” She smiles, seemingly feeling a lot happier just chatting with a stranger after a bad appointment. She receives a notification on her phone, but her attention is drawn to the time. “Oh beans, I didn’t realize the time.”

The woman chuckles “I fortunately haven’t had to deal with bucket sleeping, but I did have some leg based complications once those got goopier, and I meant to do the food coloring as soon as my hair changed, but I just kept forgetting,” She confesses “And yeah, no kidding, there’s so little out there for slimes, It is nice to talk to a fellow slime,” She adds, before the notification bleeps on the other slime’s phone, “Oh? You have to go?” The woman asks.

“Yeah sorry, I have a bit of a busy schedule to keep. Tell you what, we can exchange phone numbers!” the woman holds out her phone showing you the contact information for a person named Mayday. “Thanks for the conversation, call me and I'll buy you a drink sometime, you seem like you'd be a cool friend to have.”

“No, no, I get that,” The woman replies, taking out her own phone, tapping at the screen with a stylus to quickly add ‘Mayday’ into her phone “Yeah, I’ll definitely have to drop you a text, as I says, ‘ll be nice to keep in contact with another slime. Guess I’ll see you for a drink next time then?” She says with a smile, tucking her phone away.

“Yeah!... I hope you have a good appointment. Hopefully we can see each other soon. Sorry for taking up your time.” The woman named Mayday walks out the waiting room door, disappearing into the busy streets outside before the other slime can reply. Sometimes making friends can be as simple as the right place at the right time.

Fav epic song/saga (released/unreleased) GO

Hiya! Ooh, that’s so hard! I love this whole musical so much, and it’s really hard to pinpoint a specific saga that I love more than the rest. I honestly have no idea how to even begin to answer this question, so I’m going to interpret your question as fav released and fav unreleased sagas just to make it easier to choose.

My favorite released saga is probably the Ocean Saga, but the Circe Saga is a very close second.

My favorite unreleased saga… this is so hard! I’m gonna have to go with the Wisdom Saga. I love Telemachus so much and I really love Athena’s character in Epic as well.

If you asked me to choose between the two I genuinely don’t think I could, so please don’t.

I didn’t even try to answer which song is my favorite because you’d end up getting a list of at least 20 songs and a paragraph explaining why I simply can’t choose between them.

I love this whole musical so much and I absolutely cannot wait to see it all come together and one day get to finally listen to it all the way through! Maybe even see a Broadway or movie adaptation? That would be so freaking cool!

I don’t know how long I’m going to leave for, may be for a few hours to a few weeks, but I just wanted to share with you guys what I’ve been going through because I know you’ll listen.

I might not ever post on here again because im gonna be honest, I only made this account to talk to someone I trusted. That OBVIOUSLY didn’t work out, and it’s okay for things to not work out sometimes, but I can’t bring myself to come back here and look at their account or the messages they once sent me because they’re so different than the ones I just saw now. I am extremely hurt by everyone involved for the things they said about me, and im gonna be honest, I still don’t understand how anything I said was wrong. “She needs to kill herself now!” And they said nothing. The person that I’ve told everything about my life to, went to great lengths just to make sure they had a way to talk to people, and showed my most vulnerable side to, said nothing. I didn’t even know they were showing what I was saying, “she’s still yappin” which is crazy to say about when im showing you how I feel. When we talked in the supposed relationship I was in, I made it my biggest priority to let them know that they could tell me how they felt, and I gave them so many outs before I got attached. I have major abandonment issues and bpd, and I know that’s not their fault or something they should worry about, but it explains why I became so attached and quick to panic when they expressed the thought of leaving me. I don’t even care anymore about them not loving me, it’s just the things that they said about me and let others say. I know they don’t owe me jack shit, but i genuinely trusted them with how i felt and that sensitive and vulnerable side of me i try to keep to myself. I haven’t felt like this in almost four years, and maybe that’s why I started to freak out? It seems like everyone’s forgetting that I warn everyone before they get close to me, BECAUSE I AM A DAMAGED INDIVIDUAL. I am in the recovery process from being physically abused, and sexually used for things that I didn’t even want to do. Worst part is? The people that were saying bad things about me were saying all these kinds of accusations that they can’t even back up.

Like what the hell? You’re saying you have ‘screen recordings of me’ doing what? You say you have so many messages from a lot of people about me, but I never talk to anyone other than the person I trusted and one other friend? This isn’t to bash the person that left me, Im not like that and I have expressed that id like to stay on good terms, it’s to bash the people that said all those awful things about me. I would’ve never known if a friend of mine didn’t show me the screenshots, and if im being honest, I didn’t even want to see them. I would’ve rather been clueless because that genuinely broke me seeing the way they let someone say something so awful about me. Even if I was mad at them, I don’t think I would EVER let someone say something that bad. Because in that moment, reading that stupid message, I did want to do it. I’ve been struggling with suicidal thoughts for a while now and everyone knew that, but they didn’t think that I would see it. They didn’t think that maybe I would be able to see that they hated me so much that they’d wish id die. and that hurts. It hurts more than I can express. I’ve always tried to be a good person, ALWAYS, and even to the people I have problems with im still a big pushover and I take it in the ass like everyone else would’ve; I spend money on people who don’t deserve it just to get them to like me, which I know spending money on someone doesn’t mean you deserve jack shit, but yk.. I think that if you see someone is going out of their way to be friends with you and is trying to gift you things because they think your awesome maybe you shouldn’t say that they deserve to die. I felt so fucking sick reading that, I forgot about everything else that was going on and just centered all my attention on that one statement because i genuinely thought these people cared about me at first. I know I should’ve kept to myself like I always did, but I wanted to be like these people, I wanted to be cool and to be liked because that’s all I’ve ever longed for; I’ve wanted the feeling that someone would care about me. And it seems now that the people I trusted never even deserved to be close to me. That I deserved better. And I don’t want to seem selfish because when this first happened i genuinely thought that I was the worst person in the world because how could someone hate someone like this without a reason; but I know none of this is my fault. I know that I deserve better than to sit and wait for these people to come around and like me again that genuinely never will. I know that one day they’ll read this and get all mad and pissy, because im posting this to my tumblr as well, but i genuinely can’t care anymore about these people. Im not naming anyone out of respect for their privacy, unlike how they were with me. I hope that maybe one day, they’ll realize how fucked up what they said was. The worst part is, I still have a place in my heart for ALL of them because I can’t detach that easily. But maybe I’ll get over this sooner than I think, because im better than this. I don’t deserve to sit and wallow my life away because someone hates me. They don’t need to say sorry to me tbh, they need to say sorry to Sabine because she’s the one that had to listen to me sobbing on the phone for the last three days and tbh.. I think she’s more mad than I am 😭

A week and a half before the showcase and I feel like I’ve gotten a cold.

Went to a concert last night and got an email beforehand that the meet and greet was being canceled d/t the lead singer being on vocal rest/wanting to social distance from a cold (poor little nugget - they still sounded so good).

Went to the book store and Alpha Flight was amongst several books to be ruined in delivery 🥲

Telling myself a cold is nothing and I’ve met and greeted this band four times this year already (plus the show still was freaking awesome and I genuinely appreciate that they didn’t want to get anyone sick) also I’ve read digitally already and I can/will still survive if I don’t have a physical copy of everything I read 😂

Thank you for letting me be dramatic for a moment. I’m gonna nap now.

The Quarry: Playthrough w/ Friends After Thoughts (Spoilers!!)

I’ll try to keep this one shorter than the other one, but a lot did happen so I’ll summarize as well as I can. Also, I’m gonna be referring to my friends as simply A1 and D1 because yeah. This is mostly stuff they were thinking/saying, but I feel like most of it was Emma slander, so my sincerest apologies to any Emma fans who happen upon this.

Before Game

I was showing them the characters and the different ways that the game can be played and when we were on Dylan I stayed on his character for a whole of two seconds and A1 went, “Wait, is that Luke? Go back!” So I clicked through, got back to Dylan and then quickly clicked past, and A1 yelled, “That is Luke! Go back! Go back!” So I actually go back this time and confessed to them that we watched “Daniel Isn’t Real” because Miles Robbins was in it

Prologue

A1 and D1 believe Max and Laura are idiots. They are your typical start of horror movie characters that always die because they made dumb decisions. Like, splitting up? Why would you do that?

What is up with this cop dude

Chapter 1

Wow! Emma’s pretty, and Kaitlyn’s awesome

Caleb killed her in the lodge while they were hiding

But we still had 3 rewinds so I instantly used it on her

Most stressed I’ve ever been because I actually did things I’ve never done/seen before in this game at the beckoning of D1 and A1

They had me hide, and then we didn’t investigate and get the silver shell.

But they had me walking around forever so we found the toy in Abi’s backpack and were able to lock Caleb in the freezer

Our mindset after locking him in the freezer alone? “Yay! We saved Caleb and managed to keep at least one member of Travis’s family alive! Since, you know, we killed everyone else.”

We were actually so happy I kid you not

We saved Caleb

And then the outro thing happened

And the words “Caleb Hackett: DECEASED” graced the screen and a piece of us died with him

The devastation was real, not to mention the disbelief

We really thought we saved him

Like, killing Kaitlyn on accident was bad

But thinking we saved Caleb only to find out we hadn’t??? Whole other level of devastation

But we searched up how to save him and keep Kaitlyn and Dylan alive, so that may be in our future

Found all the evidence! So the charges got dropped (which, as annoying as the podcast ending may be, it wouldn’t have been possible without Grace and Anton, so everyone say thank you)

A1′s best boy is Ryan, and I can’t entirely disagree with that, but Dylan is personally my favorite so

D1′s best boy was either Nick or Dylan

But we all agree that Kaitlyn is best girl

Hannah was in bed when she heard Lazlo yelling about the burglar. She sighed, knowing what conversation needed to happen this morning.

She couldn’t exactly hide the belly from him; she was already showing quite a bit. So she got up and went into the living room. She found him sitting in the remaining chair reading a book.

“You can tell the TV got stolen when Lazlo Burns starts reading for fun,” Hannah grinned at him, trying to keep her tone light.

“Ha,” Lazlo muttered, closing the book rather abruptly. “You know what’d be even more fun?” he asked her suggestively. 

“About that,” Hannah said, clasping her hands together nervously. “Lazlo... I’m pregnant. You’re the only sim I’ve woohooed with recently so I’m pretty certain you’re the father.” 

“Wait, what?” Lazlo stared at her.

“Your child is growing inside my uterus,” she told him in the most obvious way she could. “Stop staring at me like that, I’m freaking out! I don’t know what to do, and I need you to just... be a grown up for a second.”

“Stop yelling!” Lazlo shouted. “Look, it’s all gonna work out. We’re gonna be awesome parents,” he added, reaching out to hug her.

“So you’re... okay? You want this?” Hannah wondered, looking genuinely surprised.

“Yeah! I’d enjoy being a dad, I think,” he grinned. “Of course I’ve never rolled any family-related wants... but that doesn’t mean I won’t love every second. Why? Were you really worried I’d leave you high and dry?”

“No! Of course not... You’re amazing and a lot more responsible than other sims give you credit for... I just...” she shrugged. “Never mind. I’m happy too,” she smiled and finally relaxed into his hug.

Tw for gore, because Corey DEFINITELY didn’t get away unscathed!!!

Cory’s story isn’t super complex, they mostly just wanted to provide for their family!

Corey was an adventurer for hire, in simplest terms. He would go and join other adventuring teams for short quests. They never really stuck with a single group for longer than one or two quests, always on the move, and only taking a fairly small cut of the reward as compensation. Corey’s mentality is that others have families they need to feed too, he doesn’t need as much for his small family than others may need for theirs. His family consists of his mother and his little sister. he loves them dearly. Corey knows the work they do is dangerous, but he genuinely enjoys what he does, and is the main breadwinner of his family.

When Corey was betrayed and left for dead in Dread Caverns, everyone thought they died. His mother and sister were distraught. They tried to murder him so they could have just that little bit more of the money. It was their greed that pushed them to commit murder. Obviously, they told the guild it was an accident in the cave that lead to his death.

Though nobody knew, Corey WAS still alive, technically. He tried for months to find a way to get out, but with his limited range of movement, it proved too difficult to climb out of the caves on his own. Though there was ONE good outcome from his being betrayed: now having no heartbeat, he was basically invisible to the beasts that roamed the cave system. The same beasts that feed off of the fear of their prey. The first person to find him came soon after they realized this. Some random adventurer, trying to collect minerals and resources from the cave in order to study it’s properties. Corey tried approaching this person to ask for help, but as soon as he stepped closer, they freaked out. Corey is, quite literally, walking death. He has his head smashed in, cuts all over him, his lip split in half, dried blood running down his face, and even the limping walk of a zombie. To be completely fair, seeing him come at you in a dark cave like that, I don’t really blame the guy for practically pissing his pants! It doesn’t really help that Corey is partially mute, only really able to get out short sentences at a time, so on top of it all, he was completely silent walking forward XD

The adventurer practically bolted out of the cave after that, and told the guild. Thus birthed the rumor of the “King of Fear”, believed to be behind the properties of Dread Caverns.

Many would come over the next few years, none of them willing to listen to reason. They tried to kill Corey. Out of self defense, Corey ended up killing them.

He would rack up quite the kill count before Brook came along. Corey hates what he’s had to do, and hates that he’s begun to kind of like it in a twisted weird way. They hate themself because of this. They feel evil. They think they’ve started going insane. Being isolated in the dark for years with only the occasional battle, it was akin to torture.

Brook, even while terrified out of her mind, was the first one to actually stop and listen to him. She helped him to escape and finally see the light of day after years underground.

To answer your last question, yeah I’m mostly working on schoolwork right now haha! But I’m also working on a new profile picture since the one I have currently was originally made for Halloween XD I’ll finish it soon and post it for you guys to see when it’s done!

HELLO. I PLAYED JEDI SURVIVOR TODAY

i just left coruscant and im chilling in the mantis. its late and i have a busy day tomorrow so i dont wanna stay up all night. heres my first thoughts

it is visually STUNNING!! i was genuinely so shocked at how beautiful the home page is. all of the uis are stylized similarly to jfo, but its polished and new in a way that i really appreciate. a standout addition in the options menu was an arachnophobia safe mode. i think its awesome how they’re making this game accessible to people with phobias like that. i don’t know what this spider monster will be like, but it must be kinda intense to warrant an option like that. but it also made me think, “why just arachnophobia?” because including something like this opens the door to other pressing phobias that can prevent people from playing. i have thalassophobia, and the venator crash section in jfo was very dimly lit and it was so much i almost wasnt able to get the 5 or so chests hidden away in there. underwater sections in games can be a nightmare for me if they aren’t lit well and it freaks me the hell out. i wonder if they considered other phobias like mine, or what exactly drove them to this decision. i guess i need to just wait and see.

the graphics and worldbuilding are incredible. its so beautiful and the level design is noticeably upgraded. i have only been through a short linear area, but it’s great so far. everything is very very seamless (the gameplay to cutscene transitions.. fuck its perfect). there were some portions where the interactable surfaces blended in a bit too well, and i was also not used to the way they looked, and i found myself a little stuck in some parts. not to where its an issue, this happened in the jfo tutorial as well, but it was all just very seamless. coruscant is fucking beautiful and the vast cities, neon lights, and other little design details made me so happy. half my gameplay was just me gawking at the scenery around me.

let’s talk plot. i noticed that a lot of these first cutscenes closely follow what we saw in the first teaser trailer. that man (forogt his name..), cals lightsaber in the case, him losing a battle to an inquisitor, beautiful beautiful coruscant. the only thing missing is the character that cody fern plays, who is clearly very important to this game. but despite his importance, they’re keeping every detail they can hidden from us. i havent seen him yet as i’m not even in koboh, but i can’t wait. i love cody fern and i know he will do a great job in this game. that aside, from what i’ve seen so far, i’m really happy. i absolutely love bode and was not prepared for how much i would enjoy his and cal’s banter. and knowing me, of COURSE i couldnt help but make jokes over and over again about romance between them. my worst one was probably, after the reveal that bode’s baby mama died, i gasped and said “YAY!!!” ..anyway. i FORGET HER NAME but the girl that was apart of cal’s crew stole my heart. i thought she was so cute and i loved her personality and dialogue. and then they killed her off 😭 i knew i shouldnt have gotten attached but i couldnt help myself!!! rest in peace girl whose name ive already forgotten.

the customization is such an upgrade. and it also leaves for some hilarious results. you know i went all out with the blindingly pink lightsaber and blade. i did it to bd too and he looked crazy and i felt bad so i gave him a pink and purple look. i got the deluxe version so i have the luke and han outfits along with some blue and green color choices, bd parts, and lukes lightsaber. im gonna hold off on customizing my lightsaber too much until i get some more parts. the joy of this game is being able to mix and match! and for cal, the no beard option is genuinely scary and he looks naked😭

gameplay is so smooth and SEXY. loving the two bladed sabers so far. i am a double lightsaber girl because of darth mauls influence but i know its better suited for crowds of enemies rather than one on one (in jfo at least). i might upgrade it a bit though because wow the animations are just beautiful for that stance.

i think thats about all i have to say. oh cal is absolutely GORGEOUS. excited to play more of this tomorrow and i am just really happy depression cured 10/10 game

I just wanted to say that your latest post really resonated with me, I first got into dangan ronpa at 16 years old by a friend who told about it and I’m now 22 years old meaning it been one my comforts and hyper interest for overs six years. It been interesting because like you my friend lost interest and we drifted apart until we were no longer friends and I did other meet with who enjoy the games but they two got bored of the topic over time, although I have other interests such Pokemon, Digimon and other games and I love talking animations and films. It just funny how this game series has been with me for over 6 years but I don’t regret it because it one the reason I got the courage to start posting my art online and one my first fandom I talk to people, yes it rocky here or there but I had a lovely time sharing my art and improving my art.

Sorry for the rambling but as a fellow autie or autistic adult, it really hit home ha ha I made jokes in my head telling dr so are gonna leave yet you done and it like nope I be staying rent free in your mind. I will say my love of dr focus more dr2 because that the one I most attached to. Yes,drawing the silly chef make my brain happy but that’s okay. Also I’m bit shy when sending an ask publicly.

First of all, I hope you had an amazing holiday too. It was a fun time. Made homemade peppermint patties, I got a few Murder mystery board games. It was a good time.

Secondly, I’m really glad someone related a bit to how I felt too. The thing about hyperfixation is that a lot of it makes me feel powerless. Being obsessed with something and hyper focusing on it in real time to learn all its ins and outs can be so fun. It helps you find friends in other fandoms and such. But then, when it’s all you can focus on, you start to alienate people around you without even realizing that you’re doing it. People are genuinely polite and they don’t want to cut you off. And by the time they tell you something is wrong and that you’re driving them away with your interests, it’s too late. They’re gone.

And like… it sucks. It’s a hard truth to swallow and I really struggle trying to be more about other people. I want to be more open about that since I’m an adult who has now reached her 30s. I think it’s very valid to admit that I’ve struggled with this my whole life. I’ve always wanted to relate to others, to find and keep friends and then be validated for my interests. But last year, things came crashing down hard.

A former friend wrote me an entire three page letter on my flaws and a good portion of that was about my hyperfixations and how I don’t listen or hear them. And it drove them away. I felt utterly crushed and I think from then on, I had been trying to lessen my love for DR.

Ultimately, I just don’t think it’s a good thing to lose what makes you happy in the world. Even some silly piece of media. Or even just a character you identify within a piece of media. Of course, we can’t bombard the world with it as much, but those things that we obsess over are still for us too even as we’re trying to improve ourselves and work out our issues: neurodivergent or otherwise.

Danganronpa is a series that I think has a lot of love put into it by its creator, writers, artists, musicians, and fandom. I think that’s really freaking rad. I think it’s characters have something for everyone. I think it’s heavily flawed, but also vibrant and brilliant. I think it’s revolutionized murder mysteries in gaming and visual novels as a genre. That’s awesome. I don’t want to ignore how I feel about that.

I am currently in Young Justice Season 2 and I want to give you my official verdict (unless things change) Young Justice is boring and a disappointment and I'm surprised it's even popular. I suspect it's popular because of the characters and not the because of the storytelling because idk it might be arrogant of me to say but I think the story-telling sucks. The last episode I saw had Artemis die at the hands of Aqualad who turned evil and joined his father supposedly...and it would've been so great if they continued with this ruse until by the end of the episode they reveal to the audience it is a ruse, one that Nightwing, Artemis, Kid Flash, and Aqualad are in, that Aqualad is actually a double-agent and that he's trying to gain his father's trust to get inside the Light and get more information for the team on who their enemies are and what their plans are and I'm like omg Kishimoto wrote a better storyline with Itachi (until he ruined it by justifying Itachi choices but I digress) by keeping the fact that Itachi was ordered to kill the clan by the village till the end and we find out through Sasuke instead. Here in Young Justice, they don't fucking do that. They don't keep us at our seats trying to figure out wtf is going on. INSTEAD THEY REVEAL EVERYTHING AND it's like omg you mean the only thing horrible to look forward to is how upset the rest of the team will be because of the deception!? I would've been content with watching and believing Aqualad genuinely turned evil in order to get close to his dad and Artemis was dead at the hands of him but noooo instead they just tell us in the end that no worries Aqualad is actually good and Artemis isn't dead. Like ugh. What's the point in watching this series (I'm gonna still continue because I'm hoping there's going to be something good in the future...but I doubt it. Everything is freaking boring and yeah idk what's going on but damn it it would've been nice to feel the tension and heartbreak of the idea of Aqualad turning evil, figuring out what his motivations are, and believing he killed Artemis like everyone else does and to see how the gang feels about. It would've been great to see Kid Flash not being in on this and being angry at Nightwing because he wanted Artemis out of the game because he and Artemis was going to have a normal life and that would've been awesome. I mean seeing the tension and anger because there's the "mission" and then there's your friends whom you put second to the mission. Seeing Nightwing struggle with that would've been cool, tying into his own issues he had as Robin and the trauma he experienced in the virtual reality exercise that went wrong where he was put as leader and sacrificed his friends for the mission because that's what he was always taught by Batman and how he came to the conclusion that he didn't want to be like that...to experience that sort of conflict and dilemma again as Nightwing when he puts the mission over his own best friend's happiness and desire to live a normal life, to keep information away from his best friend that his girl-friend was alive...there was like a lot that the writers could do but instead the conflict is between the new team (who barely know much about as an audience), several of the old team (M'gann and Conner) not knowing vs those in the know which includes Kid Flash...which I don't get because his reaction to his girlfriend's death would be a great tell on whether she's alive or not. His reaction and anger towards Nightwing which they hinted at in the beginning...only for it to lead up to nothing because apparently he knows the "mission" like wth ugh... you probably have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm just annoyed at how boring this series but I'm gonna continue because I'm an idiot...
