Flurries
Winter 2014 (Maybe?)
I had never seen such beautiful, crystalline snow.
As in a dream, I watched
it stick to the window:
a snowflake garden growing on glass.
But they faded so quickly,
before I could commit their sinuous
forms to memory.
Gone without a whisper,
gone like a dream I can't remember,
gone like a wish long buried.
There are other flurries,
still blowing in the billowing winds--
yet I can't help but feel
from behind the cold glass panes
that I've lost something precious.
If only I could gather all the flakes in my arms,
toss them up in the sky,
make them my stars.

Redrew some old doodlesheet my teen self drew
It is 3AM I am going onto memory lane, remembering my early years of being a Vaati obsessive, what it was like to be a teenager writing poems towards him, staring at fanart until I fall asleep and doodling him in school 24/7. Even imagining him to accompagny me to school because why not lol.
I posted a lot of art online in that time.
I found this old doodlesheet I did in school while reciting every goddamn line he ever said ingame by heart and priding myself in having that knowledge (I don't anymore lol).
I made a gift to my teenage self and redrew her doodles in my much better skill. Im sure she would have squealed seeing my current artwork :,) my teen self deserves a headpat and a vaati plushie, seriously.

That sense of accomplishment when you think your writing's trash, but see that more than 10 people have your story bookmarked so they can read it over and over, because they enjoyed it so much

1, 28, 37, and 50 for the fic asks 😊
1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)
We All Have Our Excuses for a short one and as an introduction to the fact that I am a bastard who loves drama and hurting characters and readers. Or Watch the Tide Come In as an introduction to the fact that when I do an AU, it will be a weird premise, the worldbuilding will be good, and I will try and translate as much of canon to the new setting and versions of characters as I can.
28. Does anyone read your fics before you post them? If so, who?
Just me. I don't have a beta and I don't like people seeing my stuff unfinished for the most part. I have tried to get irl friends to read my works (if they are also in the fandom I'm writing for) to varying levels of success. I'm the only person I personally know who's read any of my stuff after my one Good Omens fic.
37. Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it?
Exsanguination. I love this fic. I love how it turned out. I love the mood. I love the pacing. Its the only thing I've written that I've re-read for my own entertainment. It came out to be everything I wanted it to be. Honorable mention is I Forgot to Remember, another 2nd POV fic in the IZ fandom that I personally think turned out pretty good.
50. Answer any question of your choice, or talk about anything you want to talk about! So I'm going to answer 41: Link a fic that made you think, “Wow, I want to write like that.”
Any of the fics by RustyPaperClip about Butch/Harkness, particularly Trouble and To Tincan, from Butchman. It isn't so much 'I want to write like that' and more of 'I want to make people feel how these fics made me feel'. I've referenced them a lot, specifically in Tide with the notes Hermes and Charon leave for each other and in the fallout au, obviously. I love these fics and they genuinely were inspiring for what emotions I want to get out of people as they read.
Honorary mention are two fics from the Pacific Rim fandom that were written in 2nd POV that blew my third eye wide open on how that point of view can be used. I can't find them right now, but they were newmann fics and were written before the rise of selfship and self-insert fics and Jesus-fucking-Christ. So fucking good and it showed me what you can do with 2nd POV when following an actual character with thoughts and motivations and I wanted to be able to do that.

So like i'm thinking
I'm indeed writing a book, but it's in french.
And while I'd love to see it translated, i'm not sure I would trust anyone other than myself translating it LOL
So i'm not sure it would even be possible, i'd probably rip all my hair out haha.
But ! I guess I can still talk about my book here because, like... Honestly ? tumblr is probably the best place to talk about it, considering everything I want to talk about, in this book.
So i might come and brainstorm here, sometimes...
