Found BWOC on YouTube

Edit: I’ve just realized that the episodes on YouTube are presented out of order. I did not realize this until I started season 2. No wonder some things didn’t make sense timeline-wise... So, yeah, just FYI the episodes presented in this are in the order the encore+ people put them in.

Ahhh, childhood. And also, hello again to one of my very first slash pairings (Tommy/Merton). Big Wolf on Campus aired from 1999-2002 (3 seasons).

So, I realize that this fandom probably hasn’t been active in a while, but I was rewatching the show and... wow, was there a lot that went over my head as a kid (full disclosure I was 11-13 when this originally aired). Apparently, I also still somehow picked up on it anyway.

So, I decided to create a list of my favorite questionable moments from Big Wolf on Campus Season 1. Keep in mind this show was meant for kids...mostly. Think Teen Wolf TV series light. The show is campy as fuck, but still kinda hilarious.

This list does not include all the times Tommy just generally touches and moves Merton around to wherever he wants him to be- which is A LOT- and leans over Merton and just tends to act somewhat... casually possessive? Like, the kind of casual, thoughtless touches to the arms and torso/back that you might see couples use. It also doesn’t include all the times Tommy protects Merton from a monster and/or T’N’T.

Honestly, this list is mostly just for me, but hey if someone else finds it interesting, sweet.

Episode 1: Uhh, see something you like there Tommy?

Episode 3: ...Pretty much the whole thing actually. Tommy gets pretty protective of Merton in this one (for good reason though). HOWEVER, at the dance, Tommy tries to talk up a girl (Stacey) and the she so very much implies that she thinks Tommy is there with Merton. Romantically.

And then there’s this line- “I was a little bummed about losing my role model, but I- uh, I had something even better.” CUT TO MERTON TALKING TO TOMMY. “And that’s good enough for me.”

Episode 4: Tommy convinces Merton to throw a party. And then he subsequently messes it up by being a typical jock with his jock buddies to Merton’s face. To make it up to Merton, he does the classic high school romantic moment and announces to the school, in the lunchroom from on top of a table, that he thinks Merton is pretty great. He spends the rest of the episode defending their friendship. (Also, Stacey is kind of a bitch in this episode. Becky has some pretty great lines, though.)

And apparently Merton gave him a flea bath?!

Episode 5: Tommy, not looking happy at Vesper (Muffy) kissing Merton.

Episode 6: Tommy monologuing about there being someone perfect for you out there. “But, if you’re lucky, if you’re really lucky, that person could even be in your third period English class.” Camera pulls back to reveal Merton (then Stacey and Tommy doing a scene together).

Also, Merton sounds a little sour about Tommy’s continued crush on Stacey during the bowling scene.

(Sidenote: Merton! Why would you put that in your mouth?! Bad goth boy!)

Episode 7: That scene where Tommy is about to bite Merton’s neck. (But, before that, the guy that thinks Tommy is coming on to him.)

Episode 8: Tommy is so upset at Merton being bullied by Tim and Travis that he “wolfs out.”

Detention- He’s, like, pretty much leaning right onto Merton.

Later- Uhh, your shirt is unbuttoned a little low there, Tommy, for going to see your friend.

Funny moment- Merton, unafraid to kick Tommy in the junk to get him to change. That’s true friendship right there.

Episode 9: Tommy wants to room with Merton in college. Is upset when Merton has plans to go overseas for higher education.

Episode 10: Merton is apparently very familiar with Tommy’s pro-bowling fantasies. Lmao.

According to Tommy, Aerosmith has a “hypnotic gaze”.

Episode 12: Did...did Merton just give Tommy a prostate exam?! AND WHAT ARE THE OTHER TESTS?! AND WHAT ARE THESE PHOTOS?!

Book scene. You’ll know. (ALL the double-speak.)

Episode 13: Merton is such a good (boy)friend. Buying Tommy ALL the fried chicken. And being so supportive of his seasonal weight gain.

Contortionists club Merton? Oh, hey, Tommy.

Tommy: “You were right. I was wrong.”

Merton’s rack in the dungeon. I mean lair.

Episode 14: Kind of like episode 6. Tommy says he isn’t normally interested in history, but something about this class...(Merton napping in the background while Stacey gives a presentation). Tommy continues to seem interested during Merton’s presentation as well.

Can’t bring himself to hurt Merton, who’s possessed by a ghost that wants to strangle Tommy.

Episode 15: I swear they’re trying to get rid of Stacey at this point. Merton backseat gaming. So adorable! Also, dear god, they’ve picked up each other’s habits.

Tommy- asks Merton out for a drink. Seems kinda bummed when Merton says he can’t because he has a meeting.

WHAT LOVE TRIANGLE TOMMY?! MERTON, MARGARET, AND WHO TOMMY??!! YOU’RE THE ONLY OTHER PERSON IN THAT ROOM!! Plus, Tommy did not look thrilled at the mention of her being Merton’s girlfriend.

Episode 16: Tommy takes Merton’s words about individuality to heart and takes off his letterman jacket. Apparently, Merton’s opinion of him matters a great deal. Awww.

Tommy’s reaction when he realizes Merton is completely naked. Priceless.

Episode 17: Another one of those where pretty much the entire episode is an ode to how much Tommy values Merton.

Episode 19: Tommy- “buying flowers for your girlfriend”- Camera is on Merton

Episode 20: Was Tommy about to bite Merton on the neck?

Bad Tommy...still kinda likes Merton when he doesn’t like anyone else?

Episode 22: Tommy freaking out that he might have hurt Merton.

And yeah...that’s pretty much it for season 1. I feel like there was one scene I missed (something about some male celebrity being hotter for some reason, according to Tommy), but I can’t find it now. Oh well.

However, there are a lot of sweet little moments that didn’t make it on here as well. Tommy and Merton have a really close friendship, and there’s plenty of subtext to imply something else if that’s your thing as well.

So I was thinking about Yasha’s secret crush and I wondered if it was possible to narrow down and determine the moment where she fell for someone. Because I live for being able to see The Moment™ of a starting crush in romances. So I rewatched episodes 9, 10, 14 – 46 (I believe that’s when her first playlist dropped, after 46? I’m new.) And I paid close attention to Ashley when she was actually there, particularly when she was talking with someone to try and gauge her thoughts and read her expressions.

…Unsurprisingly given the improv nature of the show, as well as Yasha’s character in general, this is extremely hard to do, and we’ll never be able to know for sure until Ashley confirms it. So I don’t have the answer, but I do have some theories. Here’s my list of the most likely moments where Yasha first got a crush (and why I think it’s on Beau.) I’m gonna focus on these 34 episodes, but will use more recent ones as emphasis.

(Also I started this in June; this had nothing to do with the recent discussion of Beau maybe-catching-feelings for Yasha, tho yes, that is some immaculate shit.)

To start I’ll do some housekeeping and explain why I don’t think it’s any of the guys. (Aside from the fact that signs point to Yasha being gay, but I won’t at all count out the possibility of her being bi/pan. We won’t know until Ashley says.) Her playlist says “sometimes it’s hard to hold a stare. Even a conversation. It’s best to keep them at a distant though, she decides.” So these were the body languages I was looking for – which actually was kinda hard to narrow down because Yasha is already awkward and distant naturally, so there was a lot of “is this a crush, or her 7 charisma?” But in general Yasha isn’t that bad around the boys.

It’s not Molly. We know it wasn’t Molly. Ashley wouldn’t have phrased it like “Yasha’s gonna stick with Molly for now, but whoops, someone new is making her feel things” if it was.

She has no problem talking to Fjord or looking him in the eye. Their relationship is pretty surface level in those early arcs. There’s also a moment in a more recent episode where Yasha uses healing hands on him, and when Jester makes a - pretty icky - joke that she might grope him, Yasha gives a look and goes “not my thing.” If she did have a crush on Fjord this whole time she probably would have been more flustered. She seems to have no problem with Fjord/Jester as well.

Caleb…… She is actually really awkward and stilted around Caleb, but I feel this is likely more a result of their mutual “I don’t know how to people.” If we measure her crush by oh-man-this-is-awkward then Caleb is probably the most likely male, BUT, I’m going to stop thinking about this because if it ends up being true I would stop watching the show. I have to tell myself that it can’t possibly be Caleb to stop myself from becoming viscerally upset. (Iiiiiiii don’t like Caleb much. I don’t ship my faves with my leasts.) Plus,,, I dunno, I don’t think she would have encouraged him to act on his own mystery feelings if she liked him. That conversation probably would’ve just ended.

Not only had Yasha not known Caduceus long enough during these episodes for a crush to be likely (Ashley’s only there for like three episodes, one of which being their first meeting, and Yasha was pretty frosty to him) but the placement of the song in the list implies that the crush formed before Molly died. I probably could have stopped watching at ep26 for this but, eh, I like the pirate arc.

So that leaves Jester and Beau because let’s be real, it’s probably not Nott. (Aside from there being no romantic chemistry between them, we know that Yasha still has that crush and I find it unlikely that she, as a widow, would hold on to feelings to someone who is married with a child. Besides, pretty sure they all thought she was a kid herself in the early arcs.) I do not think it’s Jester, because honestly Yasha seems to like Fjord and Jester together, with moments like “Jester will probably hold your hand ;3” and Ashley being very concerned for Jester when his Avantika ship tease started. (And I could be biased because if they reveal that a FOURTH person has a crush on her I’m gonna revolt, they can’t all like her jesus fUCK two is one thing but FOUR?? it’s too much) BUT in the interest of fairness, cuz it is still very much possible, and I’m an “anything’s possible” kinda gal, I will list three moments that stuck out to me.

3) Episode 34: “We’re like a strong….. couple of women.” It’s the amazed tone she uses.

2) Episode 46: The talk about her past and the Zuala reveal. Both this, and the above, happened after Molly’s death which make them unlikely, but this one was the most significant character moment Yasha had had at this point, and she had it while talking primarily to Jester and that’s certainly nothing to sneeze at! But that’s also a point against it too, because not only does she have very little problem looking Jester in the eye and having a very long talk with her – and this goes for Caduceus too, tho he stayed mostly quiet – something that’s supposed to be hard for her to do when early feelings were evolving, but I kind of don’t think Yasha would form a crush on someone while in the same breath saying her lost love will always be hers. Before or after, sure, but not during. Frankly I don’t think this talk would have happened at all if feelings for either of them were involved. But I’m also not going to discount the importance of the moment.

1) I don’t remember the exact episode – it was during the harvest fest, so 17 or 18 – but at one point Jester says something nice to Yasha and Ashley specifically points out that Yasha starts blushing. Now given we know that Ashley was not looking for romance with Yasha early on, I feel like if this really was romantic, she would not have pointed it out, she more likely would’ve have Yasha quietly think about it. But,,, a blush is a blush, a pretty significant “oh” indicator, and I think it was the first time anyone had gotten a reaction like that out of Yasha. The timing works out too, that’s why I put it at one, over the Zuala talk.

(Sidebar, I didn’t watch episode 1 for this because I felt there’s no way Yasha got a crush on anyone that early, but wouldn’t it have been fucking hilarious if Ashley was like “my character is a widow and is not looking at all………… Failed step one.” Edit from a week after posting this: I also didn’t watch episode 4, because I honestly completely forgot Yasha was even in that. So there could be some character things I missed, but like with ep1, I find it unlikely feelings happened so early on. Ep4 was only Yasha’s second encounter with them.)

Ok so with that out of the way, I really do think its Beau. I could go more into why exactly, and how differently Yasha talks to Beau, but this isn’t a relationship analysis post, this is a Moment of Realization™ analysis post. All of that above was just to be fair to the others. (Plus I’m trying my best to stick to the 34 episodes I watched; the really good Yasha-likes-Beau stuff happens later.) Now I’ll start the top 5 most likely moments Yasha went “o-oh” for Beau:

5) Episode 34: During their talk in the tavern, Beau asks Yasha if she’s doing okay twice. It’s one of the first things she asks, and notably she’s the only one to ask how Yasha’s handling her best friend’s death in that whole conversation. Not even Jester does; just “I don’t comfort people” Beauregard. (Unfortunately, no real mention is made of the fact that she was kidnapped and beaten, and unlike Fjord and Jester, didn’t have a friend group to help, but, I think Beau asking how she’s doing is the closest we get to that.) She doesn’t say much, but both times asked Yasha seems affected by it. Beau also says she’d be willing to buy Yasha expensive wine, and excitedly tries to include her in their puppy training, and ass kicking. This is good shit and honestly the only reason it’s #5 is because the timing doesn’t really work well; I think Yasha already liked her at this point. Kinda surprised I don’t see more people talking about this moment.

(Also the episode after this is the start of “Travis makes Yasha clearly in love with Beau” and wouldn’t it be so funny if Ashley was like “no, he’s right. Yasha really would slice a man in half after seeing Beau in danger.”)

4) Episodes 15&16: I’m including both of these together because they happened in the same place on the same day, but the fights with the cube and Siff. Bit of a weaker example, but these fights stuck out to me compared to others Yasha had been in, because she sticks to Beau a little more and they seem much more excited to fight together (I believe the cube was their first time using Sentinel together?) realizing that they work extremely well together when they flank. Beau also does that thing where she parkours off of Yasha’s shoulder and I don’t believe for a second Yasha didn’t feel at least a little something. I think it’s very likely that a crush on Beau could’ve started during a battle, and something’s telling me it’s probably one of these two. I also can’t help but feel like Yasha started becoming more socially awkward right around this time. Compare how she acts in episode 9 vs 18. Could be just a character thing, Ashley finding her groove, but I still “hmmm” a little.

3) Episode 25: The healing hands scene. A classic, you love it, I love it. The healing itself aside, what I personally find most interesting is that Yasha looks a little put-upon, her “okay…” sounding a little like she’s thinking “are we really doing this right now?” but Ashley confirms on Talks that Yasha actually thought it was funny, she got a kick out of it. It’s the first time Beau’s flirting got a genuine reaction out of Yash, in a way that almost almost feels like flirting back. Makes me wonder what would’ve happened if Ashley hadn’t left, what they would’ve been like from episodes 26 – 34 if they’d gotten more time together. (I also wonder,,,, if Yasha thought a lot about this last moment of playful affection while she was captured. The last time someone messed around with her and got her to laugh before things went to shit.)

2) Episode 18: The scene where Beau joins Yasha to talk with Oremid and Trent and puts her hand on her lower back. This almost passed me by at first, because other than being near each other, not a whole lot happens; they just talk to some old guys. But then I thought more about it and wondered “… when do you think someone last did that to Yasha?” In this moment she becomes noticeably more flustered, nervous, and stumbling over her words. Now this is probably just because she was told to lead a conversation with two people she doesn’t know and her 7 charisma was showing, but she honestly was never that bad when talking to people in earlier episodes, she actually had quite a bit of confidence. I find it pretty believable that having an attractive woman putting her hand on a frankly rather intimate place, something that probably hasn’t happened to her a long while, would have an effect on her.

1) Episode 19: The Church Youth Group flirting watch. And I actually don’t mean the “huddle for warmth” part – although Yasha offering her shawl is pretty significant – I mean the little talk they have after that. Even after a bit of very awkward flirting, Yasha decides to reach out, talk about something on her mind. Beau immediately stops trying to make a move, her tone becoming genuine, and just engages with Yasha. She doesn’t pry or push, just asks questions. How long had she been away, what was Xhorhas like, did it still feel like home? And Beau ends it by saying she’d like to see it someday and she seems to mean it. She just learned it was a barren, marshy, unpleasant place, but, it’s where one of her new friends is from, and that’s enough. (In hindsight, it might’ve even struck a chord in her about her own home.) Then it becomes weird again – but in a silly way – and they go to bed. It’s a very quick conversation, like 2 minutes, but it does so much for both of them. Because I could be wrong, but I do believe this was the first time anyone stopped and asked Yasha to talk more about herself and where she came from. Hell, it might be the first time Yasha had a one on one talk of that degree with someone other than Molly. Beau was the first to think to ask “what was your home like for you?” and there’s something kind of intimate and special about discussions of home.

It lines up because, if the beauyasha compilations I’ve found are right, this is their last real moment of significance until healing hands. They still talk, they interact, but not to this level again until episode 34. It would make total sense if, after all those little moments from before - “Will you hold me through the show?” the flirting, the looks, the hand on her back, watching Beau - after this moment of real connection, something clicked for Yasha. And, just like the playlist described, she pulls back, keeps just a little bit of a distance. They’ll take watch, but the conversation’s a little weird. She’ll cast healing hands, but she won’t really look at her as she does. Because it became too real. (And maybe she’ll spend most of an underground fight against merrow following Beau around and trying to heal her, but, she won’t say that’s what she’s doing.)

That, I believe, that genuine “I hope to see it someday” was Yasha’s oh.

Rough Changes.

AU where the bullying Sal recieves from Travis, his school crush, gets so hard to him, it almost kills him, so he decides to close some cycles and get the hell out of the situation. Cw: mention of self harm, bullying, graphic violence, strong vocabulary, polyamorous relationships, mild (really really mild) implied sex scene(?, heavily loaded with angst. Fandom: Sally Face Words: 4800 Hope you enjoy it!

The first time Sally went out around Nockfell he used to wear a beanie to hide his bright, long, electric blue hair and wore discrete clothes, but as the time went by and he started hanging out with Larry, Ash and Todd, his confidence slowly started going higher and higher until he started going to school with his signature hairstyle, some hairpins and his favorite clothes, he was a cis guy, and he was bisexual, but who cared, everyone who saw him thought he was a girl and probably a lesbian since he hung out with Ashley so much. And he didn’t give a flying fuck about it, he wouldn’t make an effort to change his voice to make it sound “more feminine” or go to the women’s restroom because he didn’t feel the need to, he was a guy, period. Some people didn’t seem to agree and thought he was a trans guy or something, which was terribly stupid and Sal and his friends would always mock the people that harassed him on the streets “you will never be a real woman, you tranny!” or “no matter how many chemicals are in your body, you will always be a girl!”, people never knew if he was a girl or a boy, and that amused him a lot. But then, when they got to the middle of 8th grade, a new kid was introduced to his class, he was a tall, brown boy with shiny blonde hair, he had what appeared to be a bruise on his left eye but Sal thought it was rude to stare, so he lowered his head, wondering if it was a bruise or a birthmark. The kid got to sit beside him, they didn’t talk at all, if not just the common “hi” from when a new kid gets introduced to the class and you’re the one sitting next to them. Dear diary: Today in class there was a new kid, he is cute, I wanna be his friend and maybe share drawings or stickers or even Pokémon cards, what if he collects them too? I could find the ones I don’t have and he could benefit from mine too. He’s my age, his name is Travis. I think he’s religious, so not cool, religion is boring, I always sleep in religion class. I’m gonna ask him if he wants to sit with me at lunch, he might be lonely since he’s a new boy at school, I wanna be his first friend, I could even introduce him to the group!

Alright, gotta sleep, Sal out.

The alarm clock was buzzing, letting Sal know it was time to get out of bed and ready for a heavy Tuesday of school, he hated Tuesdays, no band club, no art classes, nothing, just geometry, math and a lot of history, Spanish and English, oh, and religion too. He got up and went to take a quick shower, it was cold and he didn’t really like turning the heater on, it was too noisy for being 6:40 in the morning the time he showered for school. When he got out of the shower, he put on his underwear and with a towel around his hair he sat on the sink to take care of his reddish scars, that day they were way more tender than usual, it stung and even hurt in some places the q-tip touched with the lotion. He sighed, getting back down from the sink and finding a meowing Gizmo on his bed, who stretched as soon as he saw his owner, asking him to pet him and rub his belly. “Aw hi little guy! Did you get some good sleep?” Sally asked in a tiny voice, thoroughly shaking Gizmo’s big belly, he earned a purry meow from him, who got up and walked out of the room to get food. Sal let out a breathy giggle and started going through his closet, thinking what he should wear; he found a white skirt he thought was really cute, tried it on but found out it was way too short and it showed the scars on his thighs, he didn’t want any more visits to the school counselor for self-harm even though his scars were a combination of cuts made by him and scratches made by Gizmo. He decided to stop thinking so much and just grabbed a pair or ripped black skinny jeans with patches and chains Larry had gifted him for his 15th birthday and a pastel blue gloomy bear t-shirt to go with it, by the time he tied his usual blue converse he thought of grabbing a hoodie, so he grabbed a red zip-up hoodie and threw it on before he went to get some breakfast, some peach slices and Greek yogurt did the job and after a little bit of him styling his hair with his dryer and iron, he went to brush his teeth, he grabbed his bag after putting his prosthetic on and headed out. On the way he found Larry, with whom he went to the bus stop while chatting a little bit. “hey Lar, did you see the new kid?” Sal asked, eager to hear the answer, he was so interested in him, he was excited to know him. “uh yeah, that Travis boy? He’s chill, why? Larry said, munching on a chocolate chip cookie that might be his breakfast, he had his hair tied back in a messy bun which showed he didn’t shower, and those bruise-like bags under his eyes made clear he didn’t sleep either. “huh? What do you mean chill, did you talk to him?” Sal’s eyelids perked up, surprised by his friend talking about his interesting future new friend. “oh hell no, he’s religious, I would never get near a religious guy, they’re scary with all their crazy ‘god loves you’ shit” Larry shivered jokingly, earning an annoyed sigh from Sal, who playfully punched his friend’s shoulder. “he can’t be that bad bro, he’s 14, he probably just uses the cross necklace because his dad makes him.” Sal tried to shrug it off, then the bus came and they got on. While looking for a seat, Sal spotted a blonde head, and when he got closer, low and behold, it was Travis. He was talking to another blue haired kid that attended their school, but they suddenly locked eye contact and Sal smiled to him, only to remember he couldn’t see it, so he shakingly waved until Larry softly pushed him to sit behind Travis and the other boy that was there. “come on dude, you’re gonna fall if you stay there!” Larry tugged on his hoodie, which made him sigh and sit next to his friend, his face red as a cherry and the blush spreading to his ears. That was so embarrassing… “woah woah dude are you okay? Do you have like a fever or something? Your face is hot as fuck and your so re- AH DUDE NOT COOL!!” Larry said worried, getting elbowed on the stomach by his flustered friend who was literally shaking on his seat. “i-I am- I’m okay it’s j-ju-just I-… fuuuuck” Sal stammered out, not being able to form a sentence from how hard he was shaking, then he hear a gasp from the

seat in front of him. “what? Are you- are you a boy?” a flustered, weirded out Travis was looking at him, he looked disgusted and scared. “uh m-me? I- I… yes, I’m a boy…” Sal stuttered again, scared, the first words they exchanged and they were not at all the ones he expected. “what the- ugh, boys don’t wear skirts, you shouldn’t wear that kind of attires, it’s ungodly.” The disgust in Travis’ face was growing with every word and Sal was literally at the verge of tears from how scared he was, even though he had picked a gender neutral looking outfit he got a bad comment, from the boy he wanted to be friends with. Sal tried to talk but the words were stuck in his mouth, when a sudden movement startled him to the point he yelped. “yo, clothes don’t have gender. Go fuck with someone else smartass.” Larry had jerked up from his sit, completely angered and with a threatening stand. Travis got scared himself and he just turned around mumbling something under his breath. Sal was silently crying, little sobs slipped from under the mask his day didn’t start well at all and he had heard what the boy in front of him had mumbled.

He called him a faggot.

His day went on horribly, boring classes, all of them where he sat next to the boy who he had a little crush on, it was all wrong, all he wanted to do was go home and curl up in a ball to cry, and cry and cry. Before lunch started, he got up rather quickly, Travis used the opportunity to trip him and he fell over, he scratched both his knees and it wanted to make him cry again, and it did, he just ran to the restrooms and locked himself in a stall, hugging his legs and silently crying again, what a shit day, he just wanted it to end already. The urge was suddenly unbearable, he needed to get himself off of that situation, he reached to his hoodie pockets and pulled out a little envelope that contained a stainless steel blade he hadn’t used in a while. He then pulled his sleeves up and angrily started making multiple deep cuts in every dimension, that made him sob and gasp, and when he was done, he was just a mess of blood and tears, he reached for the toilet paper and luckily for him, there was, so he quickly put it on the wounds and made some pressure until the blood was almost gone, he pulled the sleeves back down and sighed, he wasn’t relieved, but he wasn’t around Travis so he was good for a while. Then he remembered his next class was religion, fuck no, he was going to the principle to ask him to call his dad, he needed to go home, he couldn’t resist any more time with Travis let alone it being in religion class, fucking religion class, that was the last thing he wanted to happen to him. After he decided he was calling his dad to go home, he got off the toilet and opened up the stall door slowly as to not find any “unwanted guests”. Once he double-checked and triple-checked he was able to get out of there an run to the principal’s office, only to blink and open his eyes back up at a hospital room, surrounded by Larry, Ashley, Todd, Todd’s boyfriend (he didn’t remember his name) and his dad, all looking both worried and relieved. “oh my god, he’s awake!” Ashley almost yelled, rushing to hold his friends hand. “huh…? Wha- what am I doing here?” Sal asked, looking around, noticing his arms were uncovered, showing his fresh cuts and the catheter where the liquids where flowing. “uh, you passed out and Larry found you completely splattered on the ground, your hoodie was soaked in blood so he told us and we rushed you to the hospital. It seemed like you lost a lot of blood, Sally, what’s wrong?” Todd talked, looking concerned. “Salvatore, please tell me you’re not going to start cutting yourself again, I already signed a document to refuse your admission to the mental hospital, I know you don’t wanna go back there and I don’t want you to go either, that place only drugs you and prevents you from everything…” Henry spoke, worry and sadness gushing out of his mouth while he talked. Tears started falling down Sal’s eyes, he was mortified, and now he was in the fucking hospital, he was sure this was a nightmare, he needed to wake up, he needed to fucking- “SAL, WAKE UP!!” Larry said, worried and scared, it had been a day since Sal got out of the hospital and he stopped going to school for a while, Larry was taking care of him every day after school to make sure he was eating and cleaning himself, he was worried his best friend would kill himself if he spent too many time alone and he wasn’t risking losing another loved one. Never again. Sal jerked awake, all startled by his friend’s yelling. “what do you want Larry…” annoyed by his sudden awakening, Sal rolls over on the bed and starts falling back asleep. “I brought you some pancakes and chocolate milk… I know you like them…” Larry sighed out, he was sad to see his best friend like that, he hated it, he fucking hated whatever was going on with him to make him that depressed. Sal sat up and started eating bit by bit, the bandages on his arms were getting loose and a bit gooey, so after Sal finished eating, Larry carried him piggyback to the bathroom to clean him up.

That was only the beginning of the worst four years of his life, days of never ending bullying, depressive episodes, fights, detentions, panic attacks and breakdowns.

Last break of their last year of school was nearing in, that was the last day of school before break and they’d be back for a month and a half more of school and everything would be over. Sal was excited because he was going on a field trip with the squad, not knowing those plans were going to be completely crushed by goody two-shoes blonde fuck Travis, who had woke up that last day of school and chose complete violence. That day was living hell for Sal, he never stopped mocking him and calling him names, but Sal just pretended to ignore him, until… “Hey freak, you faceless faggot motherfucker, did your mommy do your hair for you? It looks shitty! Oh wait, no she didn’t. why, you ask? OH YEAH, BECAUSE SHE’S DEAD, SHE MUST BE CRINGING AND CRYING IN HER GRAVE BECAUSE SHE’S ASHAMED OF YOU, ABOMINATION, UNGODLY MONSTER” Travis was following him around, tugging at his hair and pushing his head around, until Sal snapped. He didn’t say anything, just a hit, square in the nose, a loud crack and a scream followed, Sal just kept hitting and hitting until Larry had to physically drag him away, he was frozen, scared, absolutely terrified of himself, of what he did. Luckily it was finally break time and he got to dip out of there, he locked himself at home and ravaged the tree on his backyard, then when he was tired of it, he decided to go back inside and look at himself in the mirror, he then found himself staring down to a pair of scissors on his nightstand. His breath became shaky and anxious, he didn’t want to do it, he made him do it, it was all his fault, all his fault, he fucking did it. “LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID, TRAVIS FUCKING PHELPS!” he cried out, yelling and shaking after he looked at himself back in the mirror, his pretty blue long locks were completely gone, leaving him with a mess of hair, he didn’t want it anymore, he didn’t want to look like a girl, he didn’t want to be bullied anymore, he didn’t deserve it. “I am a man, I was born a man, I will die a man, and if I am a man I will fucking behave like one. Did you fucking hear me, Phelps!? IM GONNA BE WHAT YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO SEE, A FUCKING GUY, NOT THE UNGODLY FAGGOT YOU ALWAYS SAW ON ME!! ARE YOU HAPPY? ARE YOU GLAD?! FUCK YOU! YOU MADE ME LIKE THIS! ME! THE ONE WHO ALWAYS THOUGHT FONDLY OF YOU, THE ONE THAT THOUGHT YOU WERE JUST SCARED OF ME! The one who… the one… the one who fucking liked you…” Sally couldn’t speak anymore, he was shaking, sobbing and crying out loud on the bathroom floor, just to stare back up and find Larry and Ashley looking down at him, both crying, completely worried and scared of what they were looking at. Larry picked him up as he drifted away, passing out from all the crying. They let him sleep, he was sleeping soundly as the other two were slowly falling asleep by his sides. When he woke up he found them sleeping there, he woke them up too since he had an enormous headache and needed some assistance. “Lar… b-bring me some medicine please my head hurts like hell…” He went to grab onto his locks and all he found was a nest of tangled up short hair, he found himself scared but then remembered what happened before he went out and tears started gushing out of his eyes. “fuck, I really did it, I cut my fucking hair.” Sal unbelievably laughed, a melancholic laugh. Larry got up and Ash stayed there, hugging him softly. “don’t worry, blue, I’ll take you to a salon after you take your medicine and we’ll get that mess fixed, alright?” Ash held his hand, reassuringly squishing it softly. Sal nodded then looked up when he saw Larry pop out of the doorframe holding a pill and a glass of water which he gave him to drink. “So dude… after you get the haircut… do you wanna go get some food and maybe get high at the abandoned house down the hill? I know Ash is out of this because she has to babysit her brother but we can go if you want.” Larry asks rather shyly, trying not to give Sal any strong emotions. “I’ll take the food offer, but no weed for me today, this headache will get fucking worse if I even get near the stuff” Larry nodded, joining the hug

after Sal had swallowed the pill, closing his eyes at the pleasuring hug. After the pill kicked in and Sal was no longer in pain, the three young adults went to the hair salon to get Sal a haircut, then the other two sat back reading awfully boring magazines. Mid haircut, Sal asked the stylist to dye his hair black, he wanted to change himself completely, never look back at himself how he used to be. They finished washing his hair and he went to show his friends who looked completely dumbfounded by the new look, so dumbfounded Sal started to worry. “guys? What is it? Do-does it look bad? Do I change it or-“ he was cut off by a wave of NO’s from both of them, they were both in love with what they saw before them, they rushed to hug him and cradle him, Larry cried, because he loved him, he loved every single piece of his existence and now he looked so different, not happier, but completely different, he was proud of him, of his baby, not blue anymore.

The road trip never happened, but they stayed together at Sal’s house the whole break since Henry was away for a business trip that meant a lot of money coming to them afterwards. The three spent the break like a little family, they tried doing all sorts of things, like cooking, hiking, stargazing, burning all Sal’s “feminine” stuff as a symbolic sacrifice (even if Ashley wanted to keep the makeup and some stockings he had) and well, other kind of stuff between the three of them. The day they had go back to school went… not so badly. The squad had agreed not to talk to Sal a lot at school so people thought he was just absent or something, and it worked out until some person started to suspect. “hey, you, uh… Salvatore?” Travis approached the guy shyly, tapping his shoulder. “yeah?” Sal tried to lower his voice to confuse the oblivious blonde even more. “well I wanted to talk to you about something, in private, so… do you mind going with me to the school’s auditorium? I promise it’ll not take long.” Travis stepped a little further from him as to not scare him. “uh yeah sure, why not.” He nodded and followed behind, not too closely, while he texted his partners about it, he was shaking, scared and stressed about what might happen there. Porcelain doll: school auditorium, quick, heading there with Travis, apparently he wants to talk about something.

Sal sighed in relief knowing his boyfriend and girlfriend were going to be around if something bad happened, so he ruffled his hair and jogged a bit, trying to keep up the pace. When they got there, Travis pushed the big doors to the entrance, the dim lighted room was scary enough with the theatre people in it, let alone it being completely empty, except for Ash and Larry who were hiding in the console room.

Travis cleared his throat, he was… nervous? Maybe Sal was imagining it, there’s no way that motherfucker was nervous.

“so… what did you wanna talk about?” Sal spit out rather venomously, stressed and annoyed by Travis’ presence.

“I promise it wouldn’t take long so it won’t. Salvatore Fisher, Sally Face, I wanted to tell you I’m absolutely sorry for what I did to you, all those years of suffering because of my fear of… of… uh… of…” Travis was struggling to take it out, he was disgusted by his own words though he knew he had to say it somehow. “of liking another man, of liking you, Sal… I was taking it all out on you and you didn’t deserve it, I’m working on myself, on becoming a better person for you, because I know how much damage I caused you on the outside, but on the inside, I know I left you a wound that is rotting and I will never know how deep it is.”

“Bro. You waited four years. Four fucking whole years to apologize for something you did to me every day nonstop, the words, the names, the hits, the hair pulling, all of that, and now you’re just telling me that you’re sorry? What do you expect? That I fall on your arms, begging you to hold me and forgiving you right away? Fuck no. Totally not. I will never forget what you did to me, and you know what? Fuck you. You’re the fucking faggot, you’re the one that deserves to get your shit rocked every single day of the rest of your fucking existence. You’re the sissy, little blondie piss baby, what’re you gonna do, huh? Cry out to daddy for him to save you? Only sissies cry, Travis, man the fuck up and piss your pants anywhere else but near me.” Sal gushed every word that came out of his mouth so naturally it was like he had rehearsed that speech a thousand times. He pushed him, making him trip over his feet and fall to the ground before he left, fuming, at the verge of tears, and before he closed the doors of the auditorium he yelled “FUCK YOU TRAVIS PHELPS, EVEN IF I STILL LOVED YOU, I WOULD NEVER TOUCH YOUR FILTHY FLESH IN MY MISERABLE LIFE, Y’KNOW!?” and with that said, he slammed the door behind him, actually hearing rushed footsteps from the other side. Todd and Larry were waiting for him outside but Sal ignored them, he was too busy wiping the tears off of his face as his legs gave in and let him sit on the floor, resting his back against a stack of lockers nearby. Travis barged out of the auditorium, tears desperately streaming down his face, yelling out for Sal. “SAL PLEASE FORGIVE ME, I LOVE YOU WITH MY LIFE AND IM SORRY I HURT YOU SO MUCH PLEASE JUST GIVE ME A CHANCE I PROMISE I’LL BE BETTER!!” Travis was full on begging, he needed him so bad but Todd and Larry stopped him, Larry had hit him square in the face while on the floor Todd kicked him on the side, completely angered to see how poor Sally was crying too, with Ashley by his side hugging him and comforting him, they would never let Travis get near Sal, ever again. Since the principal actually knew Sal and Travis situation, he didn’t end up expelling anyone and didn’t give them detention, Travis, Todd and Larry were given a warning and Ash was congratulated because of how good of a job she did comforting Sally while he was having his panic attack. Finally they got to go home and do their homework and onto the next day.

Finally, the school year, graduation and prom had been completely over, and Ash, Sal and Larry were moving out of Nockfell to live together in the city since Larry had gotten a job and Sal was planning to start university with Ash, they were both planning on enrolling in art school even though Sal wasn’t too excited about it since he wasn’t as good at art as Larry and Ashley were, but they both always reminded him that he doesn’t need to be good, he needs to be passionate. That way he would finally get better.

The news of the moving got to Travis, so, as a goodbye present, he left a letter and some candy for Sal in his letterbox, promising him and himself that they would never cross each other ever again. Sal thought it was a cute gesture, maybe in another life they would’ve been together, but in this one, they just peacefully drifted away after all the suffering they felt throughout the years. He went in to smoke some weed, he took the letter with him and read it out loud, he cried a little while, and after that he just burned the letter and went back into the empty house. Ash greeted him with a soft kiss on the lips and smiled. “The moving crew called, they’ll be here in ten minutes. Lar is upstairs saying his last goodbyes to the house.” Ash kissed his forehead and let him go with a playful spank on his butt, making both of them giggle. When Sal went up he found Larry crying, he softly approached him and sat beside him, hugging him tightly.

“hi doll, sorry you get to see me like this, I got nostalgic and I was thinking of how glad my mom would be to know that I found a job, that I have a beautiful loving relationship and that I’m moving out with them, with the beautiful people I love.” Larry sobbed onto Sally’s chest and he howled as soon as the words left Larry’s mouth.

“I’m sure little old Lisa is really fucking proud of you, of me and of Ashey, like, we’re both successful young adults and we’re taking off, we’re living our lives just like Lisa, my dad and Ashley’s wanted, so never doubt it, they’re all pretty proud of you, bear.” Sally reassured him with a big smile, Larry kissed him softly then pulled out with a huge smile.

“good god Torey, I love you so fucking much.” They ended up cuddling on the beanbag they didn’t pack, it was big enough to fit three people there, so they were comfortable, kissing and cuddling there. They started getting heated up and kissing more aggressively. Rough kissing and hickeys, until Ashley interrupted them.

“I knew I was hearing my little porcelain doll moaning, why am I not invited again?” They all laughed and pulled her onto the beanbag, but then again there was another interruption, the doorbell rang, the moving crew was there, they started loading the stuff to the moving truck and the other stuff inside Larry’s truck, then took off, they were leaving, finally leaving that damn town, the memories, the suffering, off to a new life, a better life where they had love to give and receive, wealth and success, so they weren’t sad. Obviously they were nostalgic, but never sad.

They finally got to the new house, it was big and pretty, the furniture looked perfect and the bedroom was cozy and welcoming. They were so tired that day, they just slept through the whole night and the next half of the day.

There their life started, their new life, where the worries were different and the old problems were nowhere to be seen, and they were happy, they were completely free. Free, loved and happy, just how they deserved.

As the protagonist, Jolene was a member of the Chaos Pirates. She was given a chance to prove herself to Morcubus but ended up crashing and suffering amnesia. She was then rescued by Derek and Selena and taken to Skyforce headquarters, whom she sided with. She later realized her previous allegiance in a dream sequence and acted as a double agent when she given a chance to "redeem" herself by Morcubus, she was able to turn the tides on the Chaos Pirates and save the skies from their reign.

Her Japanese voice is Hitomi Nabatame, the voice of Mana Aida aka Cure Heart. It was originally going to be Kiyono Yasuno, voice of Elena Amamiya aka Cure Soleil, but this was changed.

MySims Skyheroes is the only game where Jolene and Buddy don't have an established relationship

Jo in MySims Agents is similar to Kim Possible, being a red-headed hero with a blonde bumbling male sidekick and having a romantic relationship with said sidekick after they've been best friends for a long while. She even hums the theme song to Kim Possible when she's idle. In fact, the comic series that Buddy made based off their adventures is called "Jo Possible".

The only difference between the two is that Kim is a freelance hero while Jolene is part of the MySims Protection Agency, which is an organization.

She's also similar to Sam from Totally Spies, being that they both have similar personality traits, work for a organization dedicated to the protection of civilians (SPA and WHOOP) and even have a blonde partner that wears red (Clover in Sam's case, Buddy in Jolene's case).

It's implied that Jolene might have a singing talent, sometimes when idle, In MySims, she'll hum the MySims theme song. In MySims Agents, she'll hum either the theme tune or Kim Possible's theme song from Kim Possible.

The basis of her personality was that of magical girl protagonists, since she has a strive to protect and help others while carrying a fondness for romance and fun. She even mentions the genre in one of her quotes in MySims about "Those girls you see in shows". She even has the voice actress of Cure Heart from Doki Doki Pretty Cure in the Japanese version.

In one of her quotes, she mentions that most of the spooky Sims are "jerks" She was referring to Morcubus, Yuki, Esma, Vincent, and Brandi. Who are antagonistic and have the Spooky interest. Being that she's friends with Violet (since she likes fun Sims), she's aware that not all of them are mean, just some of them.

Hamtaro is often referred to as a “golden hamster”, albeit his fur being cream-colored like pretty much all males in the series, and he sports an orange semi-circular stripe that runs around his forehead. He also has an orange spot in his butt and his back is orange up to the tail.

Hamtaro's personality is the embodiment of childish innocence, kindness and adventurous. He is also apparently oblivious to love matters, as he considers them “too complicated”. That, however, doesn't stop him from becoming a great friend to anyone that spends more than 2 minutes talking with him. Hamtaro likes to help his friends, and he is also a natural born leader, that all the Ham-Hams run to him to ask him for an opinion or decision on a subject. Hamtaro is also very dumb not only to love, but other stuff that should be quite obvious for many, but to be honest this is a common occurrence between all the Ham-Hams You could say many of them are just small furry 5 year olds though that might be a given due to the target audience. During the series he keeps growing up, if only subtle, and sometimes we can see an slightly annoyed or a blatantly angry Hamtaro, but these times are quite rare.

Hamtaro lives with his owner Laura Haruna, the human side protagonist of the series. He is a good friend to Brandy, the Haruna’s dog . The series starts when Hamtaro's family moves to a new town, and he goes out to explore. However, before that, he lived in Sumire Town together with Laura. Hamtaro is the only Ham-Ham of whom we know his parents are, more specifically his mother. He was born to Yuki, a white hamster that was a pet to a kindergarten in Sumire Town, which Laura attended.

However, and we won't go too deep on this, the Hamtaro manga originally gives a whole lot of different family trees for Hamtaro (there's 5 of them in different generations!). Hamtaro's Japanese name is Hamutaro-kun, which it's pretty much a direct translation. The “taro” part is a common suffix for boys names. For example think of Momotaro (Peach Boy). Hence, Hamtaro's translated name would be “Hamster Boy”.

In the Japanese dub, Hamtaro finishes most of his sentences with “nanoda” or “noda”. This is just a cute addition to his speech, emphasizing his childish portrayal as it is mostly used by kids. He also refers to himself as “boku”, which is mostly a young boy’s way of saying “I” or “myself”. Compare to Boss’ “Ore-sama” which is more smug and thinks very highly of himself.

Hamtaro's birthday is once again another Goroawase pun. Same reason as Cappy is the fact that the words for 8 and 6 can be read as “Hamu” or Ham. According to some interviews from Ritsuko Kawai, Hamtaro’s creator, Hamtaro's original birthday date before the anime started was July 24th! (That might be why Prince Bo’s birthday is that specific date now.)

Relationships

Hamtaro is an involuntary stud. For a guy that literally has no interest on love, he has quite a bunch of ladies after him.

Bijou, naturally, is the main one. Albeit Hamtaro only sees her as his “best friend”, multiple media and merchandise like to picture the two together, sometimes even in clearly couple situations, for obvious reasons, as they're both the main characters of the series. They interact in pretty much any episode, and they even have a “date episode”. However, Hamtaro is too dense and never really officially reciprocates Bijou's feelings. This is the most supported pairing from the fans, but sadly the series never offers a proper conclusion. There is, however, the third movie, in which Hamtaro appears to be really focused on his task to “retrieve” Bijou from the pirate gang. This can be interpreted as he being jealous, or he just being his usual goofy self of “don't be mean to my friends”.

Sparkle comes a close second. Although she was very abrasive to the Ham-Hams at first, in later episodes she develops both a crush on Hamtaro and a rivalry for Bijou, which given her straight-forward and fighting nature, makes her a quite obvious contender for the hamster’s heart.

Continuing on, and to far less degree, we have a whole array of secondary hamsters that one way or another fall in love with the hamster, but we won't get on much detail: Oshare, Bijou's French friend, apparently out of nowhere, develops a crush on Hamtaro that is not hard-pushed as she is only officially in love with him for one episode.

Lapis, although not ever really developed, is very close and friendly to Hamtaro, and that makes Sparkle put her under the radar of possible love rivals. The kiss she gives him in the cheek (which make him blush like crazy) doesn't help either.

Lazuli, Lapis' sister, also falls in the same category in early episodes, however she quickly leans towards Snoozer.

Barette, in her original episode, appears to be interested on Hamtaro, but that fades away later on.

Penelope, apparently, has a crush on Hamtaro, but we don't know if this is short lived or not. In the presentation audios and also in the Love Love Attack Plan song, as well as a bunch of episodes, it is implied that Penelope has a crush on Hamtaro. Given how easily she crushes on many other creatures, this might be just a phase.

And then, we have two other contestants, although these are up to debate as they were probably more meant as a joke than actual love interests:

Jingle, who apparently can't ever remember Hamtaro's name, is always around to offer his jammin’ support, and even take care of him when he was sick. He also pushes Hamtaro into becoming a wild hamster and travel with him a few times, so clearly has an interest in the golden boy.

Bo, who considers Hamtaro his best friend, clearly expects a lot from the boy and acts a little embarrassed and nervous about him. Their relation in the third OVA clearly shows there's something going on. Now, although I have been pointing out that Hamtaro clearly has no interest in love, this has two exceptions. Both are exclusive for movies, so it is debatable whether we should consider them canon or not since Hamtaro acts pretty ‘non-canon’ in these movies to be honest.

First, and this one is also featured in the series, is Laura. Mainly in the first movie (but also in later episodes), Hamtaro develops a clear crush on Laura. And we're not talking innocent “I love my owner”, he really loves Laura romantically. The whole plot of the first movie is how he wants to spend Laura's birthday with her and he is sad and jealous when she goes out with her friends, but specially freaks out when Kana mentions Travis. In the anime he also worries when Laura tells him she is going out on a “date”, and he stalks her to see with whom. We can discuss if this is some kind of innocent love, but it is undoubtedly romantic love.

Lastly, we have Hamtaro's only love for a same species critter: Princess Cye-Ra. In the second movie, Hamtaro falls in love the very same moment he sees Cye-Ra in the flesh for the first time. This is painfully clear as he gets awe struck and then nervous and blushy around her. Later on he gets a kiss from her on the cheek, and he pretty much freaks out and ponders why his heart is beating so fast. Later on, Cye-ra reunites with her fiance, and Hamtaro is truly devastated. But, to date, this is the only time Hamtaro has truly loved someone.

Episodes

Now, since pretty much all Hamtaro episodes focus on the boy one way or another, we will only highlight a few. Episode 1 – Hamtaro!

Naturally the first episode of the series is a very important one! Hamtaro gets to explore his new house and meets a few new friends!

Episode 24 – Hamtaro, please come home!

Hamtaro gets trapped in a box inside a truck that is going to some place far away! Laura and the Ham-Hams frantically look for him but will Hamtaro ever returned?

Episode 114 - Hamtaro, the Knight A typhoon blocks Laura's parents from getting home, so Laura and Hamtaro spend a scary night alone. Hamtaro decides to act as a Knight and protect Laura!

Episode 135 – Hamtaro gets Cold

Hamtaro overhears Laura wrong and thinks she doesn't like him anymore, so he goes on a journey with Jingle. But he catches a cold, and Jingle has to take care of him!

Episode 251 – Oh no, Hamtaro!

Hamtaro is stuck at Mindy's house after playing, and he has to return, but Boss decides to pretend to be him so Laura doesn’t get worried!

Episode 271 - Hamha-Man the Justice Hero

Hamtaro dreams that he is a Hero of Justice and have superpowers! Who will he fight?

Movie 1: Adventures in Ham-Ham Land!

It’s Laura's birthday, and he prepares a lot of gifts for her! However, Laura leaves with her friends, which makes him really sad. And a bit angry when he learns that Travis is there too. Later, the Ham-Hams learn of Ham-Ham Land, when there's a magical seed that allows a hamster to speak the human language! Hamtaro wants to use it to wish Laura a Happy Birthday!

OVA 1: 3000 Hammy Steps on Search of Mommy

It is Hamtaro's birthday and he decides to go search for his mother! She is apparently in a far away place, but his friends are there to help! Meanwhile, the Ham-Hams that are left preparing his birthday party!

Hamtaro's birthday is a very special day for everyone! Happy birthday!

Critical Role?

What happens when Critical Role and AI Dungeon meet? Stuff get weird and confusing really fast.

Note: AI Dungeon is a “Game” that lets you have kind of a D&D solo experience, but the GM is AI. The story will be below

"Hello everybody and welcome to Critical Role, Where a bunch of us nerdy-ass voice actors sit around and play Dungeons and Dragons." Matt Mercer says as the show starts. They look at each other and then back at Mercer who is now looking over his shoulder. You can't help but notice that he has some sort of device strapped to him which you assume is a radio or something similar.

> Travis speaks, "I would like to go get some supplies for Fjord"

You both turn your attention back to the screen where Travis is speaking. He looks very nervous and you can tell he's not used to this kind of situation.

Travis: I would like to go get some supplies for Fjord. Can we do it in person?

> Matt looks confused, "Um, Travis we're live. Can you wait until we finish playing D&D?"

Matt: "What are you talking about? We're live! What are you talking about?" Travis: "Uh, well I was just wondering if we could do it in person. It'd be much easier than sending people to bring stuff from far away.

> Matt just turns to someone else, "Jester what are you doing" he asks Laura

Laura: "Nothing, just getting my mind off things." Travis: "Well I'm going to go talk with Fjord, she wants to come too." Laura: "No!" you say. Travis: "She doesn't want to leave?

> Matt looks confused at what Travis said, "Is Fjord talking to himself?"

You both look at each other and shrug. Travis: "Yeah, but I think we should all go together." Matt Face Palms

> Matt turns the Sam, "What is Nott doing?"

You both turn your attention back to the screen where Matt is still talking. You don't know why, but you feel compelled to ask him.

Matt: "Nott, I think you should stay here and guard the door while everyone goes out there.

> Sam looks at Matt, "Why are you taking control of my character?" looking upset

Sam: "Because I am the best DM ever!" You both shake your head.

Travis: "So you think you're better than me huh?" You both shake your heads again.

> "No one said that Travis" they both say

You both continue to shake your heads.

Travis: "Alright alright, I'll take over, but only because I want to see how good you really are." They both nod and agree.

> The camera crew of Critical Role look fucking confused as all hell

The camera crew of Critical Role looks completely baffled by everything that is happening. This includes you. You can't believe you were so caught up in the game that you didn't pay any attention to them. You try to ignore them though and keep on watching the action unfold on screen.

> Marisha stands up, "Guys, I think were losing focus of the game. Can we please get back on track?" She tells everyone

Marisha continues to stand up, "Ok guys, let's get back on track. Let's not worry about who is in charge or anything else right now. Just concentrate on having fun and enjoying the show." Everyone nods their agreement and start focusing again.

> Matt tells them they in the city of Nicodranas and are on there way to the Lavish Chateau to see Jester's mom

The Mighty Nein enter the Lavish Chateau and see Carlos the bartender cleaning some glasses. Carlor, "Jester, it's good to see you. Does you mother know you were coming?"

> Jester, "No I wanted to surprise her" Laura says as Jester

Carlos: "I should have know. Do you want me to let her know you are her?"

> Jester just shakes her head, "No, that's okay. Is she in her room?" she asks Carlos

Carlos: "She isn't, no." Laura: "Good then she won't be home when we arrive. Well anyway lets get this party started! The first thing I'm going to do is make sure everyone knows how to play a musical instrument." Everyone laughs.

> I keep watching the show confused at what is happening

You watch the show for awhile and realize that you aren't really paying attention to what is actually going on. It seems like every other sentence someone says another one pops into your mind. "Oh he has a sword... Wait did he kill his dad? What happened to his family?"

You begin to wonder if you are even listening to the show anymore. Suddenly you hear a voice from behind you, "Hey! You're not supposed to be here!" You turn around and see Marisha with a dagger in hand. She notices your presence immediately.

> I turn to face her, "HOLY SHIT MARISHA RAY IS IN MY HOUSE!!" I say with excitement, complete ignoring the dagger she has in her hand

Marisha: "What the hell are you doing out here?" You: "I'm trying to find my sister Laura Ray, she was supposed to meet me here!" Marisha: "Where the hell did you come from?!

> "I should be asking you that Marisha, how did you get in my house?" I say

Marisha: "Well I don't remember you being here before..." You: "Yeah well I'm here now, so ask me where I came from then!" Marisha: "Fine, but you better tell me the truth or else I'll cut your throat!"

> "DAAAAMMMMNNNNN!!"

You: "Daaaaaaamnnnn!!!" Marisha looks at you with disgust, "Alright alright alright, calm down. First off I didn't mean any harm by it. Second of all why would I hurt you? You've been helping me out a lot lately."

> "I mean I just watch the show, but I'm happy to know that helps"

"I mean I just watch the show, but I'm happy to know that helps.

Alright fine, but you better help me out if you want to stay here."

You: "Okay, but only because I feel obligated to help a nice lady who's obviously been struggling with money problems."

Marisha: "

> "Wait, why did I say that? I mean I'd be more then happy to help you in anyway I can Marisha."

Marisha: "Because you're an idiot right? Because you think because I'm nice and have money that you can get me to let you stay here?" You: "That's not true, I just feel obligated to help out a person in need.

> I stare at her confused, "I have no idea what is going on anymore, do you?" I ask her

Marisha: "No, but you seem pretty interested in me so maybe we will soon enough." You: "What do you mean?

> "Whoa, not interested in that way or anything. I mean your married to Matt and all. So how can I help?"

Marisha: "Oh, I thought you were into guys too." You: "No, I like girls as well. But thanks for clearing that up." Marisha: "So...what do you want to do?

> Stare blankly, "I think my brain just broke" I say

Marisha: "Well, I guess we could go out sometime." You: "Hey wait a minute! What about Laura?" Marisha: "She said she wanted to see you first, so I figured we should start there." You: "But she's dead!"

> "WAIT WHAT?!? Where did that come from brain?" I look so shocked

Marisha: "It was implied in one of her letters to me. She wrote that she had a crush on you when you first moved in here." You: "WHAT?!

> "I've never even met her, how would she have a crush on me. I'm just a fan of the show."

Marisha: "Well I suppose it makes sense. The guy that played your character died and his girlfriend left him after he died. That's pretty tragic stuff right?" You: "Yeah, but...

> "Okay... When the hell was I on Critical Role, because you think I would remember something important like that." I say

Marisha: "Look, I don't really care about Laura, but I'll tell you this much. If she wants to talk to you, I'll be glad to meet her." You: "Great. Well thanks for the information Marisha.

> "Marisha Laura's your friend how could you say something mean like that about her?" I say somewhat upset

Marisha: "Don't worry about it, I know you meant well. Anyway, I'll see you later tonight." Marisha leave your home and head back the show. As you walk down the stairs, you hear a knock on the door.

> I just sit there completely stunned with what just transpired before me

You sit there completely stunned with what just transpired before you. After a few moments, you slowly open the door. It's Laura who knocks on the door. Laura: "Hi." You: ...

> Thinking to myself, "WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING!?"

You: "W-wait, Laura..." Laura: "Why are you sitting there like a dumbfounded idiot? Did I do something wrong?" You: "...no, nothing happened." Laura: "Really? Then why are you acting weird?

> "Um, because you and Marisha have visited me today and I can't understand why?" I look dumbfounded

Laura: "What the heck is wrong with you? Are you jealous?" You: "No, no, I didn't mean anything by it." Laura: "Then what the hell is going on?" You: "I dunno. Just calm down and let me explain."

> "Look how are you even here right now, last I check Critical Role was live. HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET HERE SO FAST?!" I start freaking out

Laura: "I get here early, then I stay at the hotel until late. Then I go to your house. Usually I sleep over there too, but sometimes we hang out somewhere else or just hang out together." You: "Wait, so you're not actually staying at the hotel?"

> "I-I... I just..." My brain blue screens of deaths on me

Laura: "Oh come on, calm down. Look I'm sorry if I offended you." You: "But... But how and why are you here?"

> I walk over to a wall and hit my head against it to see if I am dreaming

You wake up from your dream. You stand in front of a large room filled with people. There is also an old man standing next to you looking very stern and serious. He looks like he has been crying for quite some time, which gives you the impression that he might be dying.

> "Okay, so is this a dream within a dream?" I look around confused

You: (sigh) Okay, so is this a dream within a dream? Because I feel like I've had one before. Old Man: *Sob* No, it isn't my fault! This is all YOUR fault!

> "How is any of this my fault!" I shout back at the old man

Old Man: Oh don't be so angry. It's all your fault. The only reason why I am still alive is because you put me into this coma! You did this to me! You: ...

> Walk over to old man and punch him, "No."

You: "No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that." Old Man: *Sob* Please, please don't blame yourself. It wasn't your fault. You: "Well okay then, but why am I still here?"

> Go over to the nearest wall and bash my head against it trying to wake up from this nightmare

You: "WHY AM I STILL HERE?" Old Man: "Because you were supposed to kill me. Now stop being such a baby and do it." You: "YOU KILLED ME AND YOU ARE GOING TO PAY FOR IT!"

> "I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON ANYMORE! I JUST WANTED TO WATCH CRITICAL ROLE AND RELAX!!" I YELL

Old Man: "Shut up! Shut up! Don't talk to me like that!" You: "Fine, fine, whatever. I'll do it anyway. What's the point of killing me when I won't die?

> Look for an exit

You turn around and leave the room.

You walk outside and find yourself in a field with several houses surrounding you. The sun is setting behind them. You notice that they all seem to be abandoned buildings, but then again maybe that's what makes them more creepy.

> I pinch myself to wake up from this dream

You: "Pinch me to wake me up from this dream." You: "Alright, alright, I'm awake now. So where am I exactly?

> I'm in front of my computer, which has Critical Role playing, "I must of dozed off" I resume watching

I see the Mighty Nein going onto the Ball Eater to get ready for the party

. You see some people sitting on chairs and tables talking about something or other. Then suddenly a voice comes through the speakers, "Hello everyone, I'm Matti Newell and welcome to the first episode of Critical Role!" You: "Wait...what?

> I emotionally break down

You: "Oh god, I can't take this anymore. This isn't real! I just woke up from a bad dream and now THIS is happening! How can this be?!"

The next scene shows you standing before the group who are dressed in their full battle gear.

> I just stare at them lost for words as to what is happening anymore

You: "What the hell is going on?! Why am I here? Who are these people?" They: "We're your friends. We're the cast of Critical Role.

> "I wish!" I say

You: "I didn't sign up for this!" They: "But we thought you would. Besides, you said you wanted to relax after the long day of work...

> "How did I get here?"

They: "Well, you got into a car accident and ended up in our town. Well, we were wondering if you could help us out by taking care of the crash victims while we went to the party." You: "Wait, WHAT!?"

> "None of this makes any sense. Car Accident? WAIT AM I IN A COMA?!?"

They: "No, no, it was an accident. It's not like you had anything to do with it." You: "WHAT!? What the hell is going on? Are they trying to kill me?

Am I dreaming all this? Please tell me what's going on!

Silent Hill Origins spoilers

Very long pointless ramblings. Just sharing what I think I guess, not super positive though, so maybe don't read if you really like the game!

This game doesn't seem particularly scary but it's kinda whatever. It feels too short and it's fine too I guess but even then it just doesn't feel like it has enough... story? Idk how to explain it but it's like Travis just wanders around collecting items and killing enemies and all cutscenes are just, short and insignificant somehow. Also the game didn't seem to have much music or interesting sound effects...

I do like Travis actually and I've seen people complain about his lack of emotion about all the awful stuff around and that's fair but like, do you remember Henry? Lmao that guy just didn't emote at all. Anyway some suggested that lack of emotion was bc Travis was repressing his memories and that it was executed poorly and I think that makes sense. But yeah, he doesn't react much to anything and doesn't ask others about it, like nothing's going on. All he cares about is Alessa and it makes sense in a way, considering how his mother was towards him, I guess he'd feel for a girl being burned alive with uncaring mother but, hm. Still kinda... weird. Like I wish it was explained in the game more, his motivation to keep doing wtv he was doing. Because otherwise it feels like it makes no sense and is forced.

Oh and yeah the things about Travis's past... didn't hit that hard? It was heavy, and I'd say it was indeed sad to watch Travis go against his mother or that part with him going to fight his father, the flashback to young Travis and then instantly we see adult Travis that goes "Daddy..." and it's just sad, but idk I wish we saw Travis experience more emotion and actually comment on all the things like that instead of going with the flow.

Like I just wish the game put more effort into making the player care and get emotional and feel for the character rather than just... learn this new info and disregard it 5 minutes later because no one cares apparently, Travis just doesn't? Only once he seems to show emotion about this when he speaks to Alessa about how she used his parents. It also felt odd and abrupt how Travis's connection to Silent Hill was revealed? I think especially because it didn't feel like he was getting affected.

The interactions with other characters felt... not enough. Unfulfilling? Lisa was weird... Also I think the Butcher would be ok if they didn't make him so similar to Pyramid Head. They could have made him more different and interesting...

The final boss battle... weird? Also Alessa "projecting" herself to disrupt the ritual and get Travis to do things... I don't know? I guess it makes sense to me but felt out of place somehow. Unnecessary? I feel like it just shouldn't happen.

It seems the game has some annoying glitches and the finishing move should be done only when you're standing still which is not intuitive and wasn't in previous games I think.

I also remember seeing someone point out how the game would introduce almost every new enemy which takes away from the creepy/scary factor and it wasn't like that in the earlier games (aside from bosses and such) and I have to agree.

The good ending is just?? He goes home and that's all? Unsatisfying. Travis, did you beat all your childhood traumas and idk accepted things and are ready to move on or are you just glad that you punched that demon and I guess helped Alessa in a way? Oh btw I do kinda like how Travis can just punch the shit out of enemies, that's neat. I don't remember the previous characters doing that.

But yeah like, the other games have these odd abrupt endings too but yeah. The bad ending? Idk about it at all! Even more unsatisfying! Someone said it implies he becomes the Butcher but if so, I wish it was more clear... Did enjoy the UFO ending tho. Kinda wish it also featured Harry and James like in SH3, it would be like this entire continuous AU lmao.

Overall the game felt a bit boring and dull and I wasn't really immersed in the story... so, yeah. It feels like Travis's character should be deep enough but he doesn't actually come off as deep.

Also the entire jumping between worlds by going through the mirror? Actually cool imo but looks really annoying when you have to run long distances each time to get around obstacles in another world.

Also tbh the Otherworld just forcing itself onto you is... creepy! You don't expect it and it's not under your control and then it just happens. But being able to travel between the worlds just takes away this one more horror aspect. And no previous character could just do that...

Generally I get why people dislike the game and don't even consider it canon. Tbh I don't either. It's looks more like speculation of what could have happened or an AU to me.

It does feel like there was a lot of potential to it though... like I do wish more effort went into it! And I do like Travis! I even got a crush on him tbh. I don't hate the game. I understand the hate but I don't hate it myself. Generally I tend to think that any additional interpretations, etc., have their place in various franchises. Because in my mind I can kinda separate things as different universes/canons, idk. But it does feel not as well done as previous games!

Also I've seen people talk about how it's implied Travis is a serial killer... or idk has violent urges? It'd be an interesting part of his character if the game actually explored that!
