OH SO MAYBE I'M NOT AS CRAZY AS I THOUGHT HOLY SHIT
So I was in bed yesterday, in the middle of the night, writting my random theories about what the heck was up with Quackity and ElQuackity. At first I thought "yeah no maybe I'm going nowhere with this" BUT MAYBE I'M RIGHT AFTER WHAT HAPPENED TODAY???
This theory stems from the fact that Quackity was already on other 2 smps: Karmaland, and the other one that shall not be named-
Thus creating 2 characters on their own universes and canons. But here is the thing:
We know one of them has been to quesadilla island before the series even began.
If you speak spanish you know what I'm talking about. One time during the Karmaland series, Quackity was gone for a while and his in-canon explanation as to why was: "I was on vacation on an island"
Which, if you are an Arg guy, you know it means something, cause he said it on a very suspicious voice.
What I'm saying here is: this is not a case of a clone going rogue, this is a case of 2 alternate versions of the same person from different universes
My theory is that somehow, they ended up on quesadilla island, maybe even founded the Federation! but something happened, and then one betrayed the Federation, and the other works under them full time.
My main basis of this theory is based around the idea of canon lives CAUSE REMEMBER the federation was investigating on Felps the idea of "infinite lives/respawns". And you know what character would be very interested in having that power.. Maybe a little Las Nevadas main character..
A character who only has 1 canon life left?
Sadly, I'm not that involved in the lore of Quackity to actually be able to tell which of the Quackitys is the D! Version or the K! Version. If it was only by language I would guess ElQuackity is the equivalent of K!Quackity, but I never watched Karmaland fully outside of some animatics, so I am not aware of what his character motives would be, all I know is that he got his memory erased and was trying to fuck Luzu at the start of the series so idk-
Hell, for all I know I could be very far from the truth, or maybe I'm extremely right and there might even be a Third Quackity that is native to quesadilla island.
Maybe D!Quackity isn't even a character in this and Q!Quackity is the one that wants to eternally respawn cause of some weird law of interdimentional nature!! Idk, I'm not smart enough to pretend I know

ive always been curious how exactly tailstube is made because the character art for those videos are vtuber models that are used for livestreams on the japanese sonic accounts . so when theyre used in tailstube are they animated by hand or do they have people acting out the character movements in real life or however vtuber stuff works. if its the second option are the people in question the actual voice actors or do the voice actors record their lines separately. actually no it doesnt matter tails himself made those videos

so.... how does one get into racing
hi!!!! SO many different ways, there's no 100% right way but here are some suggestions for some entry points!
there are a few docuseries on racing, for formula 1 there is drive to survive on netflix--this does have some criticism from fans, as it is dramatized somewhat and doesn't always paint a complete picture, but i DO still think its a great starting point to get a feel for the structure, the drivers, etc etc.
for indycar there is also a mini docuseries called road to 500 which is for free on youtube. this is much shorter and in my opinion not as well made as drive to survive, but if you'd prefer to get into indycar and are looking for something free to watch, i definitely recommend it!! i would also go to @champagnepodiums for more indycar questions, she knows way more than me :)
for formula 1, a free option i recommend is inside story, a series on youtube (and f1tv) that goes over particularly dramatic or interesting races! my favorties are: sakhir 2020 (sergio perez), hungary 2021 (esteban ocon), & monza 2020 (pierre gasly). there are more inside story episodes on f1tv for free as well~
i know this isn't the best ~get into racing~ list because i only seriously watch 2 series and i can only speak to what was great for me to get into the sport! there are a lot of good f1 for beginners videos on youtube if you need more help with the basics, and i'm totally willing to answer more specific questions! if anyone would like to add more suggestions in replies/reblogs please do!!

I see a lot of Dream x Ponk stuff and it's usually based on getting back at Sam, which is Inch Resting
this can be pretty interesting tbh when people play around with it--i definitely like some stuff ive seen just of them you know painting nails and bitching. it's kinda hard to talk abt otherwise tho just bc they didn't really interact much later on,, fun for Shenanigans but in terms of serious shipping, i dont have much to say ig?

you have been ASKED!!!!!! use this chance to go off about something fun that you want to rant about. it can be one sentence or be an essay. do whatever! live life!
hello. today i ask all of you gathered here to think about mushishi. this is a mushishi propaganda post. i was going to rant abt how a lot of people discredit anime as a whole bc they mostly only know of shonen and maybe shoujo, and more people need to give seinen anime a chance. but now it is specifically about mushishi.
fun fact about mushishi btw, i read once in an interview that the mangka created ginko, the main character, when she was in a dark and low place in life, and made him to be kind of the ideal friend that she thought would bring her out of this! and thats so cool. hes literally the friend ever!
anyway mushishi is a largely episodic (imo you can watch it largely out of order and be fine. a few characters show back up, and occasionally other events are referenced, but after watching in order a few times i now usually just pick and watch my favorites. you can do whatever you want!) about a man named ginko who lives in a world with creatures called "mushi" (literally means bug if you dont know!) which are invisible to the average human eye, and are kind of like spirits but if they were critters. they are often just living their lives, but sometimes they cause detrimental effects to humans, and ginko travels to help people with these problems, often simply by giving people assistance, rather than like. Fighting The Thing. imo it can be interpreted a lot of ways, but many times it speaks strongly to me as a person with chronic illness - sometimes there isnt one single simple kill it with hammers solution. sometimes you just do your best to mitigate the symptoms. it is a very down to earth and thoughtful experience overall, with some incredibly gorgeous visuals and sound design.
its my person opinion that there is at least one mushishi episode that will speak to any given person in a deep way. even if it isnt Life Changing for you, i still think its a very meaningful show with a lot of interesting things to say. it can be darker at times, but largely retains its hopefulness toward the world, and i think it can like. still help you feel better and more alright with things. but also it WAS life changing for me, and if you like more slower paced stories that dont involve perfect solutions or fighting your problems with fists, but rather learning to live with the world and talking things out, you might like it! give it a try :)

we started a new type of morning art activity at work, which is "stream a movie and then pause every once in a while for everyone to do a 5 min composition study together". so far we are like 20 minutes into blade runner 2049 (one of my faves!) and will probably be doing these for the rest of the week and then some 'til we finish the movie
hardest part is managing level of detail w.r.t. the 5 min time constraint. second hardest part is trying to correctly eyeball the placement of everything in the still image. even though i specifically matched my canvas' aspect ratio to the movie's, i swear my canvas doesnt look wide enough. its like dealing with an optical illusion... very distracting
i also need to figure out a better solution for exporting and collating these frames. if i was using photoshop itd be trivial to export all the layers/groups out all at once by selecting them and doing a right click -> export layers, but im using clip. next time im gonna try and use the animation system so i can easily export out an image sequence, but im not looking forward to dealing with the animation timeline. as for arranging them onto one image, im not even gonna bother figuring out an independent solution and im just going to use photoshop's file -> automate -> contact sheet ii.
the toughest part about trying to remove photoshop from my workflow is that ive spent over 2 decades working in it so im extremely familiar with its many obscure features 😔 i dearly miss smart objects, layer comps (personally i use the frame timeline for this functionality), how it treats layer masks (a grayscale layer you can colorpick transparency from / step inside to edit in isolation and paste stuff), and probably like a zillion other small things i bump into. the layer mask thing i relied on soooo much it was such a huge loss for me when i moved to clip. but i simply did not want to continue paying to use photoshop on my home computer
