Jummah Mubarak TO YOU ALL dear friends. I had couscous like we always do on friday (moroccan tradition). This means I had couscous twice this week. I'd dedicate a whole side blog on couscous.

This is cute, especially since now I got TWO nieces and I'm living the baby love without actually having to have one! Which is great beacause it sounds horrific.

Uh, since I don't really know which Saiki you're talking about - I'm going to write for most of the family.

The Saiki Family + New Arrival

Kusuo thought his parents were joking when they asked him if he'd like a little sibling, but in hindsight, he should've known better

he likely even finds out before his mother does, giving her a rudimentary look over when she's displaying some worrying symptoms of nausea

it's kinda worrying since he and Kusuke weren't exactly normal so there was no telling what to expect, but he knew that he was going to be around them a lot

decidedly, he keeps it to himself and lets his parents just tell him and everyone the happy news

even then, it doesn't really sink in until then when Kurumi squealed out that he was going to be a big brother

the next few months were a whirlwind, repurposing the old room into a nursery and baby proofing - making sure his mother was in good health and well

he also keeps his grandfather from buying unnecessary items or receiving occasional heart attacks during their visit as Kurumi is getting a feeling or moving around a bit

she had the easiest time giving birth to him(because he’s a psychic) and Kusuke(he was out fast) but that doesn't mean it was the same for this baby

speaking of Kusuke, he came home almost immediately upon hearing the news about a new little sibling - bustling and ready to create some toys and tools to make things easier on their mother

he even updates Warp with several specific things meant to help them keep the baby safe and able to alert emergency services if necessary

... Kusuo supervises him just in case anything fishy is going down

honestly, he was pretty nervous when his mum went into labor but he restrained himself to just tapping his feet and looking at the clock

when he sees you for the first time, you were so small and fragile and... appeared in all respects, completely normal - no cognitive thoughts just yet

there is a pang of envy before something familiar seeped into his veins - he was already intensely protective of his family but you were only but a fragile little baby

and anything could happen at anytime and you would be powerless to stop it

every inch of his body fired up in realization

he will never let that happen

once allowed, Kusuo spent a lot of time holding you and watching after you when he could while Kurumi recovered and Kuniharu worked - it was pretty easy since he was a psychic

much to his relief, Kusuke seemed uninterested in doing anything shady as it might seem that you would end up like just a normal person

if anything, he is equally protective of you - hence the house is completely baby proof

even after his mother is recovered, Kusuo doesn't stop using his bathroom breaks or just breaks in general to teleport home to check in here and there

his heart is all happy whenever you get all excited to see him too

the softest, most gentle of big brothers and absolutely coddles you in concern

... probably will use spending time with you as an excuse to get away from his over bearing friends

you cry every time you have to be laid down for a nap and he's not there and when he hears about it, he complains but he's not really complaining?

mostly because he's taking pride in the fact that you only really nap when he's around and keeping you safe

"Stop making things so difficult for mom while I'm gone."

he says all of that but pops in for a second so you can see him before you fall asleep

once you learn how to crawl, you always come to the door whenever the door opens to see if it's him

much to his annoyance though, he can't keep you from meeting his friends forever and his protectiveness lingers even around them

he just wants to give you a normal life and hopefully, you won’t ever be envious of his powers...

thought that goes out the window though when you touch Kuniharu’s hurt arm after a trip injury and your father just stares in shock as you yawn and giggle before exclaiming; “The baby just healed my arm!!”

Kusuo heaved a sigh, “Good grief.”
