#still... I am not joking.. every time I post things like this it is so hard to narrow them down #I am almost as obsessed with the sky as I am with cats. I have a folder of just cloud pictures with like 650 photos in it right now #I don't post them all because I think it'd seem repetitive probably but just know... lol #that could be an entire blog or something.. hundreds and hundreds... #Like the same way that I cannot explain my obsession with cats or why they've imprinted into my brain so heavily - clouds are the same way #anyway.. .still have the costume photos and stuff like that I just havent edited and posted yet lol.. There's like 6 different things going on but for what I'm dealing with I recently made a post a couple months ago because someone who had terrible experiences with it at cons it worked at wanted me to make a warning post that it would be working at Anime Boston and this reignited Station publicly deadnaming, misgendering, harassing, and spreading wild lies about me and my friends (it had consistently been doing this on its shitty sideblogs for years but now it started dm'ing my mutuals on SEVERAL sideblogs for simply liking my posts) and has threatened to run my friend's whole art catalog and oc through AI to "reclaim" its original character and contacted someone who isn't even in my life anymore in an attempt to pry my legal info out of her and is claiming the sideblogs are all run by someone else when there's several pieces of evidence that they are run by Station

currently reading: william shakespeare’s othello for my lit class (it’s dense. first year of sixth form so haven’t grasped shakespearean era language yet and i keep having to look things up it’s rough i’m sorry william) + wolf in white van by john darnielle (john is my #1 writerguy his stuff’s always fun to read. so sure i’m biased but wolf in white van’s been super fun so far and in terms of themes and such it really reminds me of tsn especially in its handling of time. so been enjoying it!) + the accidental billionaires by ben mezrich (autism is a real thing. bought her on a second hand books site for 3 bucks and its actually been a really fun read it’s written entirely like a novel so reading it post-social network it just feels like a deeply canon compliant piece of fanfiction. tsn nation get a copy it’s a good time) + they can’t kill us until they kill us by hanif abdurraqib (doesn’t really count because i’ve kind of been skipping around but his prose is absolutely wonderful he’s one of my favourite writers ever :) his essay fall out boy forever is an absolute joy. go read it it’s brilliant he’s brilliant)

Hi hello, its Agent. Y'all recognize me for making digital art (mostly sapphic stuff) and i wasnt able to post any new nowadays and its killing me.

the reason for the lack of activity is due to being kicked out from my family home. i thought life turned around for the better by the start of this year but since the start of Feb, i got laid off unexpectedly by the company and mental health plummets. the result of that is getting kicked out by my parents, with no funds available to survive by the streets and left my pc and drawing materials behind.

i've desperately tried so hard to find temporary housing but due to my lack of documents (as i was only able to pack clothes, hygiene and phone w charger) especially being lgbt, its not possible. plus, i couldnt find a new job or anything as i havent got my clearance from my prev company and having no permanent residence.

i dont want to be super desperate online as im paranoid abt my family monitoring but at this moment, i have no other choice but ask for help publicly. i wish i could explain more abt my situation clearly but my brain is scrambled due to being sleep deprived.

little donations help a lot to survive, and hopefully being able to find a temporary place to stay. i really want to live on. i really do.

hoo boy. yeah. tldr: alive!

quite a fair chunk of shit happened i think. when i redownloaded the app i weighed up if i was gonna make a post abt what's happened, but ultimately decided against it bc i wasnt sure how active i was gonna be. looks like the answer is very, so i might as well for anyone who's curious (:

on with the details in no particular order!

just before we stopped posting, we mentioned how the company we worked for announced big profits, an expenses-paid trip for the top employees, and also the tiny small news that the team we were on was getting downsized from 20 ppl total to about 3 (6 to 1 for my role specifically). well, we did end up losing our job completely because the company was unwilling to make reasonable adjustments so we could move to the same role in a different team (we don't have any legal grounds to take action unfortunately). but this was fine for us bc we grew jaded with how management was doing shit anyway. they also laid off about 700 people from across the company a few months later.

we spent months trying to find a job, and eventually applied to university on a whim. we got in! we're studying game design and are currently in foundation year (level 0) of the course. we were pretty worried about "fitting in" and suff but honestly we made friends instantly and it turns out a lot of lgbt autistic folks are studying game design foundation year. strange! (/s). its a little weird being part of the popular clique now.

we built a site. a real one! with colours and scripts and all that! a couple sites, actually, but only one is what we're comfortable sharing publicly (other site is sys member info for friends to reference). the site is on neocities, available here. we got really into coding for realsies around the time that we stopped posting. we also got into something called choicescript, but the site took priority as we use it as a digital portfolio. we also started practicing API work by making little tools for the discord bot pluralkit, but they are. uh. far from finished

we got an rgb bulb that actually works with shortcuts, so it inspired us to actually code shortcuts again. they're pretty advanced now; we have a series of them dedicated to forcing us to sleep (it obviously isnt working given i'm still awake at 4am !!), but they're really smooth and helpful

we started drawing properly again (i know we've posted a lot of art on here but most of it is low effort memes. and also none of it was trad art, which we got back into), in order to prep for being asked for a portfolio for uni. which we eventually didnt even get asked for. we opened an instagram account to post it to while we work on getting our art on our actual site, and recently a deviantart account for crossposting.

i stopped writing. i also largely stopped building on my ideas for games and comics and such. this was more because i had More Pressing Things to be writing about, like our CV, and our applications, but i havent really picked it back up. in a bit of a plateau of inspiration rn. wanna fix that though.

we started playing hotline miami, which we'd been meaning to do for years. completed the first, got halfway into the second before a TERRIBLE AWFUL THUMB INJURY (dramatic. didnt even need glue) rendered us entirely unable to use a controller. it healed but we havent finished the second yet. today's actually the first time since august that we've even touched a controller, let alone played any games.

we got back into making music. we decided the system was going to start releasing music as a collective, so we set up a whole youtube channel and stuff for it. videos'll start january 1st, we hope.

i convinced two people to watch red vs blue. my token cishet guy friend who was my colleague at Shitty Workplace (i sent him slutty locus from earlier and his only response was "amazing") and one of my new uni friends (very autistic i think they will go feral for it). token cishet just finished season 8 and uni friend is in season 3 i believe.

health wise has been. a ride... our normal gp stopped practicing entirely, and we dont trust the other gp's at our clinic, so we've been entirely unmedicated and unchecked since november of last year, barring OTC stuff. except for the part where at the end of october we finally saw a rheumatologist (after being referred in 2019!) who said we probably had fibromyalgia. earlier this month we also caught some Mystery Illness that lasted two weeks and nobody knew what it was. our voice still hasnt recovered fully and the whole experience was weird, but the hospital nurse wasnt concerned and it didnt come back as positive for That One Illness That Got Really Popular In The Last Three Years so its honestly likely that it was just the regular old flu, which we werent used to after only really suffering from Disabled Person Sicknesses for the best part of the last 15 years.

we met steve downes and jen taylor, the voice actors of halo's master chief and cortana! got photos & signatures (: steve complimented my jacket and jen Really Wanted A Nap.

WE GOT THE GRIFBALL PLUSH (: i would make this bigger if i could. it's just one of those Material Gains that has a lot of sentimental value to us. and i found my glow in the dark ring which i cried about. again: material gains of high personal significance.

so yeah! a lot. im probably missing something because i have the brain of a sieve. but we're alive and thats the important part.

I havent actually been following songbird!wilbur for a significant amount of time, really, the impact was being friends and sometimes friends of friends of people who were running the anonverse and bedrock verse. I feel like I’m overstating my connection, I’m often just following bloggers who are friends with the rp ers, and they are some of the most passionate people they’re totally insane and I love being witness to it

hell, I only started following a couple of months ago, and I didn’t even see whatever meat of conflict that has happened. I’ve just watched it unfold on my dash whatever’s been happening. I don’t think I’ve even sent in an ask.

so that’s to say, I have such a lack of connection to this story, no complex history, no deep understanding, which makes it so much more impressive that the little parts I’ve seen are so emotionally beautiful to me. Even just like the blog header. I’ve been hearing about this story for so long that part of it is the thrill when I do figure out something that’s happened

but more of it? Maybe even most of it? Is because of how much dedication and soul has gone into this story. There is a reason that so many people are passionate, there is a reason that some days I see more fanart of songbird on the dash than like cwjlbur or ccwilbur combined. Because you have made something exquisite with this story and what an honour right? To bear witness to it, even this late, even this far behind.

I think the message, the little scraps of it that my colander brain (system lol) can pick up and I think the message of that. Getting better. Finding community and trust. Finding yourself. I think it’s wonderful.

(What’s embarrassing is that i am for all intents and purposes a fake fan </3 not caught up on any lore I just stare at your header and feel Emotions, so all of this could be entirely 10000% wrong which is why it’s a bit of a like… maybe don’t publish it but perhaps I deserve public punishment for being a clown on anon and sharing emotions)

so yeah uhh you’re amazing I love your rp character and I hope to one day be one of the people posting about them when a particularly cool thing happens. I thank you and applaud you for the amount of work that you have put into this story. Good job. Happy new year to you and happy new year to songbird!wilbur too.

it's been a bit rough writing on songbird-sunrise lately. Nothing I write feels good, and it all feels like such a chore most days. But hearing that you, someone who only recently got involved, loves this silly little character I've made so much absolutely warms my heart. It reminds me of why I do this in the first place

songbird-sunrise is, in a way, my love letter to the dreamsmp and c!wilbur. I know you said your analysis on songbird's themes was probably wrong, but you're actually completely right. We want to show the messy, complicated, hard, and beautiful parts of healing and finding yourself. And the fact that it's conveyed to you without even seeing everything is just. fucking amazing. it's nice to have a direct reminder that I'm actually good at what I love to do for lack of better words

all this to say, thank you. thank you for sending this ask, and thank all of you out there. Whether you're an old fan, a new fan, someone who sends a lot of asks, someone who likes to lurk, someone who makes art, analyses, all of you. thank you, and I promise that there are still some big things planned. Hello! I saw about the wordgirl rewired project you have and im interested. Im aware there is a forms document for artist, but I have some questiongs about stuff that may affect my performance it and would like asking for them, mainly that I havent finished the show jet (Im binge watching it but theres only so you can do having school and that, so Im still mid season 2)

theres also that I- while I have a couple examples of animatics Ive done, the most recent one (as Ive only made like 6 in the past 2 years and the older ones dont really represent my current performance) is the storyboard for a multi animator project that wont be released until into around a month more, and I dont have authorization to show it until its ready, so maybe I would be able to show it once its ready? Not asking to be let in without references of my work of course, just wanting to know if my contribution would still be wanted in that time
