Racetrack’s relationship with the Delancey’s. He doesn’t know about their past. He doesn’t really get why Jack hates them sm. But he trusts Jack. Time and time again Race notices things so similar to his own mannerisms and has to reign himself in not to talk to them. Part of him wants to be their friend. The rest of him hates that part of him. Jack would hate that part of him. Even so, that part of him is so curious about the Delanceys that sometimes he can’t help asking questions. “Jack what do we know about them?” This only earns him a scowl that he thought was only reserved for enemies. He doesn’t like it when Jack looks at him like that. “They’re monsters. That’s what we know.” Race nods, not wanting anymore trouble. Alas Race has never been one to keep his mouth shut. “But why are they monsters?!” He says this louder than he intended, earning looks from the other Newsies and- wow this is turning into a fic. that’s so. yes. like. race is a curious person. he’s not one to let things lie and he’s also SO observant. he picks up on little things he knows damn well he shouldn’t ask about but he can’t help it. oscar has the same restless gaze as jack. morris fidgets on his feet like albert. the two of them watch weasel the way race used to watch his father and he just wonders because he can’t do anything else. race has been through shit and he knows the world affects people and he won’t take ‘just cause’ as an answer even if it gets him in trouble. the world isn’t so black and white to him and sometimes it frustrates him when he can’t understand because he wants to so much. and sometimes oscar and morris don’t look so bad, when he see them talking to each other or play fighting. they don’t look like monsters that much? not good but not evil and he wants to know why

Help in making the plot! Coming up with ideas and keeping it alive. I’ve had to be the one so many times keep the rp going good and alive. Roleplaying is a team effort and I would like us both to bring in ideas and all. Of course please ask before doing anything and I’ll do the same. This includes asking me to do big timeskips! Ask and I’ll usually always say yes. I just want there to be enough communication between us :).

Oc’s do not have to be in wikis for me! I love coming up with new characters all the time for roleplays and all! I also do not mind animated or realistic face claims (depends also whether the fandom is animated or realistic). I’m a bit picky when it comes to drawings, especially traditional just bc it’s hard for me to imagine. (No hate to anyone that uses their art work! Honestly that’s so cool just I’m picky about it myself). Under no circumstances will I ever rp with a gacha oc OR furry. (If the fandom is something like bastard then I’ll maybe make an exception, but fandoms like that I usually humanize the characters bc I feel uncomfortable otherwise).

I have school and work! Yes I have a life outside of roleplaying and all that. So please do not spam me or constantly ask when I’ll reply. When I can, I will. I love doing double ups, yes it can get a bit overwhelming but I do love them! Especially for fandom roleplays. For doubles ups I please ask that you don’t put more effort only to your side and not to my side. I’ll keep things even all the time and I ask that you do so as well so the both of us are happy :). I can do ocxoc, ccxcc (depending on the cc), or ccxoc! I can usually always play any cc so don’t be shy to ask.

I will only be doing double ups for ocxcc, I won’t play a canon character for your oc and receive nothing back in return. If it’s not a double up then I will only play MY oc. But I don’t find that really fair either so I’m more than open to doing a double up! (If you'd prefer ccxcc for your side then that's totally fine with me). I'm open for doing double ups without it being tied to a fandom as well!

I do all gender pairings. MxM, FxF, NBxNB or other; but i will say I’m more comfortable playing the female in fxm roleplays. But in a double up I’m more than happy to play whatever gender and pairing for you!

No ‘uwu subs’ or ‘Mary-sue emo’ or super op characters😭. I can not stand these types of oc’s. Please give me characters with actual stories to them and not ones that just want to be babied bc I won’t baby your oc like that. And pls, you’re oc that looks and acts like a f-ing child isn’t gonna be paired with one of my ocs that looks and acts like an adult. I’m warning now I’ll honestly just leave if I see this starting to happen :P.

Depending on the fandom and storylines, triggering topics will be brought up throughout the rp. So please tell me any triggers you have beforehand as I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. My only triggers are weird kinks like necrophilia, vomit, scat, anything with kids like age play, etc.

I'm very open to writing out NSFW content BUT it can't be the whole premise of the plot. There has to be an actual story before we get to the NSFW side.

Please let me know if you're going to be leaving or if the roleplay isn't what you expected. I don't want to be wasting my time either coming up with a plot, talking ooc, getting into the story then you disappear and leave. You mean before you start poking the person? Idk maybe a week and a half? When I poke someone I personally ask them if they're ok, cuz it's usually due to some external irl reason. Often most Muns will say something before you need to poke them.

BEST EXPERIENCE: How am I supposed to choose just one ?! Gosh I have met and interacted with so many people that choosing one doesn’t seem fair to me. For any of my muses to get replies and asks from those relationships they have developed. I think this is what makes rp so fun and full of live, being able to create bonds between characters to the point that you even get to mention them on threads.

uhhhhhh so i guess we start with picking a character u really Vibe with tm? I KNOW THIS SOUNDS LIKE COMMON SENSE BUT LIKE ive been considering making a genshin ask blog for a while now but i never really got to it cos i couldnt really decide on a character (plus the fact that their outfits are. so intricate. is also a hmm since i try to follow details to a t) (at first i wanted to do zhongli, but i feel like to be able to muse him well u need to know the lore super super well, which i dont n im too lazy to research on that aha. n u know how much i respect characterizations, especially for such a complex character like him. i also considered xiangling for a period of time mostly for guoba but also like i have 2+1 blogs here n having one more might not be a very good idea aha) (as for aesop he was my Hyperfixation Character tm also cos i looked at his kit n went Yep i could work with this. probably)

so assuming ur not a dumbass like me n u kinda know who u wanna pick, id actually say to snoop around here for other ask blogs n kinda get a feel of the... scene? is that the word? or like u know, other blogs that u can potentially vibe with. ive run a couple of ask blogs before this current one (both that have died for different reasons) n from my experience interacting with other blogs (if theyre okay with it, i think most should be) is pretty fun. it also kinda helps get ur blog around to other ppl on other blogs so they can go Oh whats this cool shit n check u out, n its also a reason why we kinda reblog promo posts for other blogs (also cos we’re always excited when someone new comes on, its really the more the merrier. we see all :eyes:). interacting with other blogs is also an option when ur inbox is looking real roomy too

another reason why i havent exactly done a genshin blog is that idk i cant actually seem to find genshin ask blogs around (i have seen rp blogs, or those that answer asks with mostly text instead of art, but thats. not my thing since i hate my own writing aha) (i did find one aether blog some time ago, but for some reason i hardly see them around anymore??? idk man i might be wrong). its not like im trying super hard to find them ask blogs, so im sure they exist out there (hopefully?? im not sure but im being optimistic). i mean theres nothing wrong with just starting an ask blog without others around, but for me i do find a difference when i interact with other ask blogs n when i dont, n i prefer when theres others to have fun with (unfortunately i couldnt find any ask blogs to interact with in my previous fandom. i tried, but the blogs i approached seemed to go inactive shortly afterwards...) plus u get to meet friends that way too :D (i made a lot of friends via idv askblogs n its really been a joy vibing with others)

as for the idv scene. gestures around me. unfortunately there are a lot of ask blogs that arent that active anymore, but theres still some of us who are alive n kicking empty inboxes, n im sure everyone would love to see a new face around. winks at u. also there seems to be a lot more blogs popping up lately, which is really heartening to see.

then u kinda just. make ur blog? n a starting introduction post so ppl can reblog it n spread the word XD n yay u have a blog i guess??? XD

i gotta say tho. dont expect ur blog to take off immediately (especially for smaller fandoms like idv, tvbh i didnt think my blog would even get half this far when i started cos of how non existent idv tumblr seemed to be) n ur inbox will probably be looking pretty empty a lot of the time (or at least filled with some that u havent quite thought of how to reply to yet aha) (but also like empty inboxes happen pretty often, im sure most of us here have experienced this problem)

in the case of the first ask blog i ever started, it never really took off at all. ngl it was kind of demoralizing n depressing but to be fair i had picked one of the more obscure characters in the series, so obscure that many ppl in the fandom would have never heard of this character before. if u wanted to know, i took a character that only appeared in the 2nd musical of the series, who also made a very brief cameo in the manga to acknowledge his existence within that universe. thats how obscure my character was, but i went with him purely because he was my favourite character. i will say though i did enjoy it while it lasted n i learnt a lot from the experience, n i think thats whats important really.

i guess this kinda leads on (not really but let me digress) to the whole uhhhh thing where if u choose a more popular character, u get more attention. which is fine i guess? if u really vibe with the character, i mean theyre popular for a reason. n choosing a more popular fandom (like genshin) would objectively also get u more viewers n numbers. but like honestly i believe that ask blogs are meant for u to have fun with, n like trying to get popular gets tiring pretty fast (this shouldnt be like a main goal, but u know sometimes u subconsciously also want that gucci follower count n bomb ass notes or something. i used to be guilty of this until i realized it isnt worth it) especially if ur not enjoying yourself in the process. (case in point: my previous fandom was considerably larger n my blog got about 700 followers within a year or so, but it got very tiring n stressful to maintain after my interest in it died, n no one was really interacting with the blog even though i tried which kinda made it even more depressing despite the so called success n popularity of the blog)

anyway on a less serious note, theres a lot of fun stuff u can do with the ask blog, like some ask blogs have really fancy tags that i really like n try to do but also like not really HAHAHAHA. i kinda just channel what i want to see in an ask blog into my own ask blogs (good art is one, i try very hard for it to be good :,DD another is characterization, n others is just extra miscellaneous arts n stuffs like au ideas or memes. these are also somethings u could work on during ask box downtimes perhaps)

uhhh another side thing is like a posting schedule i guess? like ppl would be more likely to interact (i think) if ur blog is relatively active, n this is usually determined by the last post u made (i think XD). but like generally for blog maintenence id say try to kinda find a frequency that ur comfortable with?? cos i know my once a day posting is kinda insane if i wasnt so hyperfixated on all of this n fight the urge to dump all ur replies when u finish them XD (though ive seen some blogs do that n they do it pretty frequently so its pretty nice to know once u see their post u can spend some time going through the latest batch of posts XD) the queue function is pretty useful here even though i truthfully have never really used it, i kinda just post from my drafts really but it also helps to space out ur content to seem somewhat active especially when u dont have the time to be working on replies sometimes. i hope u know what im trying to say here aha

RP PET PEEVES/DEALBREAKERS: Unnavigable themes and too much aesthetic that your posts/blog is inaccessible. I’m not talking nice edits or a bit of small text. I’m talkin formatting that’s all over the place, links that are impossible to find, weird contrast or tiny tiny text that makes things hard to read. It doesn’t even look good and when I have a terrible time navigating your page, it really puts me off from wanting to write in the first place.  Purple prose is bad. 

A deal breaker is ignoring my OC’s lore. There’s no point in RPing with me if you’re not going to take into account her story. I try to make her meld pretty seamlessly in to the world, without overtly shoehorning her into any canon character’s story lines, so as to not directly step onto canon’s toes. The most you have to acknowledge is her existence, some characters will know her by association or as an acquaintance at most at a base level. Some don’t need to know her at all. Basically, if you’re going to RP with me, you ought to take all of her shit seriously otherwise why are you here?   

MUSE PREFERENCES

FLUFF, ANGST OR SMUT: Definitely fluff or smut. Angst has its merits for sure, but I really dislike angst just for the sake of angst. You know, putting our characters through turmoil for no other point than to just make things terrible for them. I like a bit of angst if it’s plot driven and has some sort of resolution, but mainly, rp is an escape and a hobby that I do to unwind and enjoy myself. So I prefer to write things on the happier side! On the topic of smut, I like that to have some plot. I don’t write smut just for the sake of smut. It has to make sense for our character’s prior interactions. It has to be going that way, you know? There has to be some build up and development before it gets to that point. 

PLOTS OR MEMES: I have the memory and foresight of a goldfish so even though there are things i think of that make me go “oh my god i really want to write that!!!” I will forget about it until I am randomly reminded of it again. That could be days or months in between lol. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good plotted thread and I love screaming about scenarios of our muses with my partners, but honestly, I really like when a good meme segues into a thread. Just feels natural. Please reply to my asks, lol. 

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: I’m somewhere in between. I like at least a few paragraphs for serious/involved threads. Dash comm, quick back and forths, or silly stuff I really don’t expect more than a few sentences. I can get long and wordy if the thread and mood is right (I am looking disrespectfully at Rowan). 

BEST TIME TO WRITE: Time is meaningless, I type shit out when the whim strikes me. I honestly have no pattern of when I write best. Generally I write best when I am not tired and not in pain (I am often these things, haha). Sometimes that’s late morning, afternoon, or late night. Spin the wheel, see where it lands! Can’t sayI get any words out early morning though. 

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S): Miki is my brain child so probably. I’m not a giant tsundere, nor am I 5′0″ tall and blonde but...I am also fond of plants/nature/gardening and the like. Certainly not to the extent Miki takes it. I kind of like domestic hobbies (baking/cooking, knitting, drawing) while Miki is less inclined to those. We like pink (but I take that one to the extreme).

My Opinion on;

Character in general:  Honestly, I've always had mixed feelings about Sephiroth, whilst I love him as an antagonist, I've always held him partly to blame for Cloud's torment && Aerith's murder. [ && Everyone knows how much I love Aerith. ] But still, he's always been interesting to me. It's clear that whilst he played the villain of the story he was not some box cut out villain && I appreciate this, boy's got layers && we love layers && development. Besides i've always looked at ShinRa as the main antagonists. [ So much so that when I was watching the trailers for the remake, && Aerith went "ShinRa's not the real enemy." I was like.. ??? ] However due to a mixture of replaying the game, being an older consumer [ bby me back then never got very far, bless. ] && interacting with YOUR Sefiroth my opinion of the character has changed && my interest has grown tenfold. 

How they play them:  

If it's ot clear already, I'm in love with your portrayal Maria. Sure I've always thought Sefiroth was also in part a victim of ShinRa, there's little doubt that && I've always thought he was in part controlled by Jenova, but I never really thought too hard on the extent of this nor the implications. Sefiroth is an abuse survivor, you write him with such nuance && give him so much character && just experiences that make him feel layered && real.  I think it really does fit with the themes of the original story && the themes that have been developed over the years, && really how can anyone not admire the amount of care, dedication && creativity you bring to the muse ? I could read endless of your headcanons, or hear you talk about Sefiroth. It's all in the small details, from the pushed toy he had as a child to the world you've build around him making him feel real, reading your thoughts on him...just make sense. && I could go on for days on this.

Maria, you have always been the kindest to me ooc. You're easy to talk to && very open && it's just pleasant to talk to you. You don't mind when I reply late, you let me cry about Zack to you.  && While I was super nervous entering a new rp community where I knew no one prior, it's kind people like you who have made me feel unbelievably welcome.  I like how chilled out our conversations are, we can scream / cry about our muses but I never feel any pressure to reply right away, nor do I feel guilty when I legit just forget to reply.    SPEED: One of the first things you need to know if you’re interacting with me or plan to do so is that I’m slow, and I really mean slow, with any and all of my replies. It can take from minutes/hours to days, weeks, sometimes even a month or so. It always depends on a variety of things, and how real life is going at the moment, as I tend to get busy at times, and also my mental health is not always at it’s best (as you know, I tend to go through episodes of anxiety and/or depression p often, and that usually ends up affecting my activity here) and I also happen to get distracted a lot sometimes. Add the issue I’ve been dealing with this past month with my laptop on top of all that, too orz

   REPLIES: I tend to miss some sometimes when tumblr’s notifs fail and I don’t have them on my tracker yet, or when the tracker is not working properly (like it was some time ago). I try to get to them as soon as I can when I see them. There are times some threads pique my muse’s interest more than others and, as such, he will bug me and make sure we get to those asap. As stated in the rules, it’s nothing personal, just a matter of the muse currently being more invested into those threads/replies. In regards of content: I always try to make sure I’m giving my partners something they can work with for their reply and to keep the ball rolling and the interest on the thread alive. However, I can’t do this alone, and I expect my partners to do their part on this. Being forced to carry all the weight of a thread sucks all the fun out of it, so if you ever feel like I’m failing to do my part on this, please, please! let me know so I can fix that as soon as I can!

   STARTERS: I’m not great at them, which is why I tend to go with small ic posts every now and then that serve as “open starters” of sorts. This does not mean that I won’t write you a starter if you’d like one from me, though! All you need to do is let me know you want one or, alternatively, write me one and tag me in it if that feels best for you. We can always plot something for it. It doesn’t have to be super in-depth. I don't always follow everyone back, mainly cause I try to keep a somewhat uncluttered dash. As stated in the rules, I usually don't follow back personal/non-rp accounts or accounts that post a lot of personal/non-rp posts (I sometimes follow some of these personals/non-rp accounts from my personal, though), blogs that don't trim their threads (2 or 3 blockquotes are fine, but more than that not so much) and etc. However, none of this will affect any possible interactions as I'm always open for interactions with mutuals AND non-mutuals.

   WISHLIST: There are a few things I've always wanted to try my hand at rp-wise. I've always wanted to explore more of Robert's past, from his childhood to his days as a gangleader. This can be done in different ways, especially if we happen to go with something more "EoH-like" or set in different verses, or even AUs, or with muses that may have known him around that time and etc. Speaking of AUs, I’d also like to explore some of my AUs (the vampire AU, mainly).    Another thing in my wishlist that probably comes as no surprise at all would be the chance to roleplay some jonawagon and/or some jonaeri+jonawagon. Like, yeah, it's true that Robert truly fell head over heels for that big bara guy the moment he kicked his face, but I'd really like to explore their relationship as a whole, to see some of the development they had in canon through all those months of peace that came after that horrid battle in Windknight’s Lot, to see them captivating each other and realize that "shit, this is not just some childish infatuation like i thought it was", that it's the real deal, something much deeper than anyone would’ve expected, to see them come to terms with this “obscene” relationship, to see them deal with and overcome the obstacles and issues that being gay in Victorian England carried, and see them go from friends to something else. To see them get intimate, but not only in a sexual/sensual way, but also like sharing all sorts of intimate moments together, opening themselves to each other. To explore all the good but also all the not-so-good in their relationship, to explore all those sad and bitter moments they spent together, healing together, trying to overcome their traumas together, from those they acquired together since that day the stone mask changed their lives to all the heavy baggage they have both been dragging along since their childhoods, and so on. All those aspects that aren't always explored or even talked about when it comes to the ship as a whole and see them have the long happy lives and the happy ending they deserved either as a couple or as a polycule (in the case of jonaeri+jonawagon).    In regards of relationships (and this includes romantic relationships with other characters/muses), I'd like to continue seeing Robert develop relationships and forming bonds of all kinds with other muses as well, especially with muses from part 1, since I've rarely ever had the chance to interact with many since I made this blog about 3 years ago. Some romance is always appreciated since Robert is a bit too much of a romantic fool when he's in lerv, but I'm always open to all sorts of bonds and relationships -platonic, romantic, familial, hateships, etc-.

   HONEST NOTE: I'm shy and a lot of times I find it a bit hard to socialize or i plain out don't know what to say (and language barriers sometimes get in the way, too), but I always try my best to keep a conversation going if I feel the other person is interested in it as well -else I’ll feel like I’m boring them to death and won’t say much more :’D-. It might take me a while to figure out what to say and build up the courage to talk to you first, but please never hesitate to reach out to me if you ever want to talk, even if it's just about our muses or about any plot ideas, headcanons, to share some plot bunnies and so on. Same if you ever want to send your muse our way! It doesn’t matter if we haven’t interacted before. Just like with every other reply from me tho, I tend to be slow (and forgetful, too), but I try to get to everything as soon as I can. Speed I AM... not the fastest, as i’m sure you’ve all seen. i really do my best however, but there are many factors that keep me from fucking blasting out replies the instant i can. i’m incredibly impulsive, so i can either rapid fire out responses based on my mood/how whirl’s feeling, or i can be incredibly slow and only reply to specific things. it sucks, lol, but that’s just how it do be. like i said tho, i always try my best!

Replies hoo boy. i format quite a bit (obviously), but i always do my best to make sure my replies are legible from every degree. my lengths vary, but i’ve noticed i tend to... ramble in some, so some replies become longer than intended. oops! but i’m usually more up for 2-3 paragraphs replies. all icons are my own--- cropped to 85x85 using an edit format ive cooked up myself after probably spending hours in el photoshop until im happy.

Replies: As I have stated in updates on this blog I am super busy and backed up. My reply speed is slower due to lots of drafts and asks. You can remind me but please don’t come at me or try to push me. Muse can be fickle. Some days I have it for a specific verse, others I have it for shorter convos or text threads. I aim to reply to everyone but keep in mind running this blog is not easy and I want it be fun for me. It’s a hobby.  When I have to worry and hide from people this is no longer that. If it continues I will drop the thread completely. Only in extreme cases. 

Pressuring: Do not come into my inbox on anon passive aggressively asking when I will reply to threads. If you honestly want to remind me like a normal person my dms are open to mutuals only. Do not guilt me into rping. If you pressure and attempt manipulating me you will be blocked. This has happened and I will not put up with it. 

Please reblog any memes/prompts from the source and not this blog. I am not an rp source or creator of these. If you continue to do this and just harvest my blog for memes without even interacting I will unfollow/block. If you reblog send me one then. If not well do not do it. non-mutuals do not reblog anything at all from this blog. Also I  have to mention some people have used me as a source WITHOUT reblogging from me. Meaning they see the meme and reblog it for themselves as a means of bypassing sending in anything. If we’re mutuals why are you doing this? It will just make me think you do not want to interact.

Asks: Do not reblog asks. Please if you wish to continue make a new post and link back to ask. It just makes my dash a little cleaner and I want to avoid extra asks in the inbox continuing it when we can turn them into convo threads. So please don’t keep sending asks to continue a plot line. Thread it.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT HATE & ASSUMPTIONS: If I discover you sending hate on anon to anybody you’re gone. If you send hate to people about what they ship, especially to female muns/muses, you’re gone. I will not tolerate hate of any kind and if I see you talking negatively about any female muse I will soft block you quietly. I just do not want to interact with you. People who assume generalized posts are about them when I follow you will be softblocked as well. Honestly it’s a given that if I’m following it’s not directed at you. unfollowing/refollowing: Don’t do it on my blog. If you follow and then unfollow but for some reason come back to follow you get blocked from my side. I don’t need the bs or the attention seeking.

Duplicates are amazing but I will be selective who I follow back and interact with. Nothing personal but I have been the victim of theft in the past. It’s an unfortunate thing but my characterization and headcanons for 60 are my own. I have been writing this boy forever even long before I made this blog. I’m highly protective of my ruthless king. He is my baby after all.

softblocks: I remove people by doing this. It could be for any reason to be honest. We never interact, you keep dropping our stuff, show no interest, I don’t see us interacting after all or any number of reasons to make my dash more comfortable. Do not ask me why I did it. That’s my comfort. No hard feelings. Just move on. I don’t have to cater to you. If you don’t like my methods use the unfollow button and leave my blog. Simple enough.

hardbocking/blacklisting: Yes I have done it. Am I going to blatantly broadcast it for all to see? Nope. I am not obligated to explain why I blocked you. Most times you have broken my rules despite me reminding to read them. Other times there are people I just do not want to see and that is my right not to see them. Same goes for you. Block me if you do not like what you see. I will not censor myself, my writing or who I interact with.

ostracizing people in the rpc: If you don’t like who I am interacting with use your blacklist function. NEVER tell me not to interact with them. If I find out you practice this exclusion tactic on others in the rpc I will purge you off my blog no questions or explanation needed. I totally get it. There are people I don’t like. No one is going to like everyone but do you see me telling others NOT to write with them? Hell no because I know for a fact they have done it to me and others love to listen without all sides to a story.

I also drop people who vague in public servers because it’s straight up childish behavior. I also will not follow or interact with anyone who guilt trips, suicide baits or lies with a pity party song and dance. When you’re found out to be lying or telling other people not to interact with somebody in this RPC I want nothing to do with you. Move on. That’s it.

13. What do you look for in an RP partner?

Honestly if you like, don’t cross boundaries placed in my rules, and respect my muse and characterization (don’t call her pale/thin or godmod etc), then we can rp. I don’t really want to have super high expectations for casual stuff and like, it’s its own kind of fun 

For anything more than that--ho boy  It’s basically just the same as before, but with like  A special interest in AUs, and historical nonsense. I don’t want or expect textbook kinda knowledge. I just wanna like, explore stuff with yah, like goofy moments in history, or neat intersections, or particular angst moments, or what have you  mostly it’s about like, figuring out how to get the most out of how our characters interact with each other. If we can like, work things out so that both our characters have intertwined character arcs that like, mesh well together? Ye, that’s what I’m looking for  That and like, big ol space opera type AUs

There’s a handful of things, but also like, I’m both kind of skiddish and pretty willing to give second chances so like, yeah, keep that in mind

If like, there’s an ask meme like this, where you only have to send in an emoji or a number, and you reblog it without doing that, I’m gonna be a little off-put. It literally takes no effort, and like, it’s just a courteous thing to do? You can totally reblog aesthetics and starter memes and all that kinda stuff and I won’t mind. But like, for headcanon memes? Just be nice and send one in 

Dropping or not replying to starters of more involved threads--like, the kind that you have to plot out in advance--will kinda grind my gears if it happens frequently. I have some hangups about like, asking people to reply to things, so I totally get dropping things now and then, but like, if I write the starter, and then it’s liked and never replied to, and then that happens again, and again, I’m just not gonna write em. I absolutely don’t mind like, small things disappearing, or life getting in the way and you forget and all of that, but like, if it’s a pattern, I’m just not gonna put that effort into it. It hasn’t happened with anyone who I still see around in a while, but there were a few people a while back who would just, send starters in and then ghost, only to pop up and ask for another starter. 

I have a hard time with anything that like, hurts kids. Tragic backstories are great. Vi’s got one, too. She’s basically a 12 year old for almost a millenia and during that time she literally tries to starve her not-her-real-dad Rome by cutting the grain supply off and is an angry kid and all of that, and like, I do understand muses who had really hard childhoods, and people are allowed to do what they want, but I get like, kinda queasy when actually confronted with like, yeah. 

Included in that is like, people with headcanons that seem like they’re only there to be cruel or that like, seem to trivialize pain? I know that’s a very difficult line to draw sometimes, but like  sometimes it really seems like some headcanons just exist to be edgy. And listen. I love edge. Shadow the hedgehog? Love that disaster. Lord Byron? Hell yeah. Serial killer stuff is kinda pushing it on a good day, tho, and like  IDK there’s just some hcs that really read like just, memeing pain in a way that I’m not super comfortable with 

And last thing. If it’s obvious that my muse is only there to like, be an emotional crutch for you muse, I’m gonna drop yah. I play some pretty maternal characters, and Vi being kind of mom-y is natural, but she also has her own problems and dreams and all that, and isn’t there to like, coddle. This used to be a big problem with Maia, where like, some muses would treat her like a really good mom who always knew what to say or was there to be comforting and all of that,, without really acknowledging the fact that Maia isn’t good at those things.
