Viktor (as well as my other blogs) no longer has relation nor association to any of the-blackened-dove, unforgivendivine, cxpescxwlsandcrxmes, thxpatriarch, decipheringmadness (or any characters under the same mun), nor any of those characters’ related events, backstories, or character specific locations on tumblr. Any threads implying or insinuating this are considered outdated and will not be referenced nor acknowledged in character.

So last night I spent a lot of time adjusting my pinned post so that it best reflects what goes on here, including my rules.

If you’re an established partner, there’s really no need to look. You already know me. I do ask even if you’re established but maybe we aren’t writing the most regularly to put in an interest tracker to help remedy that.

If you are not established, meaning you are: a mutual who has not engaged or contacted and is not on my threadtracker, or not a mutual- be sure to review. I will be doing an inactivity/can’t read the rules softblock purge come 12/31. This post is going to be scheduled to reblog a few times over the next few days to catch as many as possible before they get yeeted if they don’t want to be. It will be softblocks as you’re welcome to fix the issue, but I’m trying to keep my focus on those who respect boundaries and engage, and this is how I’ll be doing it.

HOW TO INTERACT WITH TUMBLR RP BLOGS

Hello friends! I've gotten quite a few non-rp blog followers on this account— thank you, and I'm flattered that you love Louis enough to follow me here! However!!! This is a ROLEPLAY blog, and as such, there is a slightly different etiquette code than regular tumblr fandom blogs.

Normally I just block folks who don't read my rules, but I figured I'd make this comprehensive post for archival reasons anyway. So! What are the do's and don'ts of tumblr RP etiquette?

DO: read our rules! Every rp blog has them! Mine are linked in my pinned post! You can also find them here! Rules are different for every single rp blog, so it's important to read them to understand what kind of interactions they're comfortable with

DON'T: REBLOG OUR WRITING!!!!! DO NOT REBLOG FROM RP BLOGS PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST, THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE.

The first reason this is considered rude is because roleplay writing is NOT for you. is it cool to read an rp blog's threads and cheer from the sidelines? absolutely! I LOVE getting little messages from people following along and commenting on what makes them excited! But rp is a contained writing format between two people, so taking someone else's writing and putting it on your blog is just....not good! it's not like reblogging fanfic! it feels more like stealing!

The second reason this is considered rude is because rp blogs on tumblr use the notes system to track our writing threads and other activity. when people reblog from us, it fucks up the note count (deadass some of y'all almost made me delete this fucking account when one of my amc salt posts got out and i had like 200 notes to wade through overnight. please don't do it).

There may be certain exceptions to this rule— for example, on my rules page, I state that I'm okay with folks reblogging my non-writing related content (aesthetic photos, musings, etc.). But for the most part...reblogs are kinda off-limits

DO: send in questions from headcanon/character building prompts! Basically, any question set that's meant to be answered out of character, referring to Louis rather than me writing as Louis. Here are some examples of what I mean: x, x, x

DON'T: send in in-character sentence starters meant for other rp blogs! Whats a sentence starter? Here are some examples! (x, x, x) Basically, any prompt that is meant to be sent in FROM ANOTHER RP BLOG, to be replied to in-character on my part. If you send me an anonymous message with a line of dialogue from a sentence starter, I can't do anything with that, because I don't know who my writing partner is supposed to be. These are for established character blogs only.

DO: send in random questions or comments! I do love interacting with y'all and I don't want you to be intimidated by all the rules I just laid out! If you have a question for Louis, please feel free to ask him and I'll reply in-character! If you have a question you want me to answer ooc, feel free to ask it! As long as you're respectful, it's all good!

Note on canon compliance::

Although I do in general base everything off of canon, I primarily rely on the anime for vibes (tm) and take from manga for actual character study. But, because I've had this conversation a couple times with writing partners already, I do feel the need to specify that I mostly rely on the anime for the overall essence of it. Anime Douma is notably more sinister and I prefer that vibe. Manga Douma comes off as a bit more aimless so I get why some people prefer it ( the people who like to sweeten him up primarily, which to each their own ofc! but it's not my thing )

But to me, I tend to play him as a bit more shrewd and intentionally mean at times, so anime route it is. On that note, I do reference the databooks in regards to what he likes/how he thinks about other demons with the exception of being attracted to/soliciting services from Daki which I'm iffy on because :/ what about found family aus ( ominous ) ...

Now I'm into the fifth month of writing this muse so naturally I ended up developing NPCs and backstory etc. And I've decided this is gonna be a thing now. Temple NPCs and backstory tidbits I've come up with and stuff are going to be part of this specific portrayal, so I suppose this means the blog is now... headcanon based? I don't really deviate far from canon for the backstory stuff ( I haven't even named his parents yet hmmm ) but it will influence the portayal so. Pinned post update incoming I guess! :D

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!

I'm working on a huge comic project over on my patreon right now. The new comic will probably start releasing early summer 2024 on tumblr and about 2 months later on my public platforms (including @meiilansnotebook ). The story will be based in the world lore of youlongtongzhi and feature many of the already established characters, as well as characters of friends, who helped me develop the original world lore, in completely revamped designs.

In the video, you can see a few first concept sketches for some of the important characters, that are already posted on my patreon. While I'm still working on my ongoing fan-comic, I will keep posting WIPs, concept sketches and BTS information on patreon. I might even sprinkle in some exclusive mini-comics about some of the characters' backstories.
