Hotaru, my biggest brother 🤍

Early in the morning on the second day of my vacation, I received a phone call from my middle brother Tatsuya that our brother Hotaru was no longer with us... He went quickly, but it was peaceful.

I am devastated, but Tatsuya is heartbroken. He and Hotaru were inseparable for their entire lives, and now he is all alone... Vasa and I decided it was best to invite him out to Mt. Komorebi to join us on our vacation to help each other mourn and to have time to figure out what comes next. To seek some solace, we spent some time out in Senbamachi. We happened to pass by the shrine in the mountains, and to my surprise there was a beautiful sunray shining on it... I was taken aback. I really hope that it was a message from Hotaru, and maybe even from Mom and Dad too, telling us that everything will be okay.

The Fatal Fury series first hit the market in 1991, spearheading the fighting game boom of the 1990s that swept the industry thereafter. Garou: Mark of the Wolves (released in 1999) has, for some time, served as the franchise’s most recent installment.

Fan Favorites and Fresh Faces Square Off in the Arena

Iconic characters from Fatal Fury and Garou: Mark of the Wolves are ready to rumble once again. A new character and star pupil of Joe Higashi also makes her debut:

Rock Howard (voiced by Griffin Puatu in English, Yuma Uchida in Japanese) – Born to Geese Howard, raised by Terry Bogard—Rock’s very being is one of mixed emotions and internal conflict. Despite having lived a new life with Terry, one day Rock finds himself facing off against a foe who claims to know about his past—namely his birth mother, and the fact that she is very much alive. Armed with this new information, the troubled youth resolves to find his way through life—and fight on to make that happen.

Terry Bogard (voiced by Michael Schneider in English, Takashi Kondo in Japanese) – South Town’s very own Legendary Hungry Wolf, Terry takes young Rock Howard under his wing, following an epic encounter with archrival and Rock’s father Geese Howard. The two are inseparable—until the events of a fateful tournament compel them to go their separate ways. Terry fights it out on the streets for several years thereafter, but when word of an upcoming martial arts tournament—“KOF”—reaches him, he realizes that another date with destiny awaits…

Hotaru Futuba (voiced by Suzie Yeung in English, Manaka Iwami in Japanese) – Hotaru is a young girl searching far and wide for her older brother, who disappeared when her mother passed away. As luck would have it, she would one day run into someone who looked very much like him, though he denied all knowledge of the matter. But that was then, this is now, and Hotaru still hasn’t given up: determined to fight the mysterious stranger again and convey her true feelings, she sets off into the unknown once more.

Tizoc (voiced by Jalen K. Cassell in English, Hikaru Hanada in Japanese) – An invincible symbol of justice, Tizoc now makes his triumphant return to the ring. Despite hanging up his boots for a time, the joyous cries of the children in his corner spur him into action—and bring him back home. Pledging to lift the spirits of one young fan in particular, he laces up and sets his sights on the squared circle once again. For the mighty Tizoc, one thing’s for sure: this fight will be even more furious than the last.

Preecha – (voiced by Mia Paige in English, Chika Anzai in Japanese) – Making her Fatal Fury debut, the scientist Preecha investigates the wonders and miracles of a fascinating principle known as ki (spirit energy). She also happens to be the star pupil of Joe Higashi, the acclaimed Muay Thai champ himself. While her martial arts talent can’t be denied, that’s not to say she’s only in it to win it either; indeed, Preecha fights for academic purposes, not accolades. She hates the pain, but sure is willing to endure it—as long as it furthers her research into unique and perplexing fight styles.

All-new REV System Shifts the Fight into Top Gear

The REV System, a toolset making its Fatal Fury debut, offers unique offensive options from when the battle begins. Players can use REV Arts, REV Accel, REV Blows (while S.P.G. is active), and more until you hit your limit and the REV Meter overheats. Balance your heat level and keep the pressure on your opponent to fight at full throttle!

Classic Battle Systems Evolved

Many classic Fatal Fury battle systems are back in full force, including Combination Attacks, Just Defense, Braking, Dodge Attacks, and Feints. These systems return to the fold after more than 25 years and have evolved for the modern day. Buckle up for red-hot action and competitive fights to the finish!

Experience-Tailored Control Schemes

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves launches in early 2025

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will launch in early 2025, SNK announced. Platforms were not announced. It will also be playable at EVO Japan 2024, which will run from April 27 to 29 at Ariake GYM-EX in Tokyo, Japan.

A new set of trailers was released, the first announcing the early 2025 release window, and the second introducing characters Rock Howard (voiced by Griffin Puatu in English, Yuma Uchida in Japanese), Terry Bogard (voiced by Michael Schneider in English, Takashi Kondo in Japanese), Hotaru Futaba (voiced by Suzie Yeung in English, Manaka Iwami in Japanese), Tizoc (voiced by Jalen K. Cassell, Hikaru Hanada in Japanese), and Preecha (voiced by Mia Paige in English, Chika Anzai in Japanese).

What are Rare Skills?

In Assault Lily, Rare Skills are potent abilities which each Lily has one and only one of. Lilies tend to awaken to them during their years at which their magie is at its peak (i.e. high school, or close to it.) For example, Miriam Hildegard von Gropius awakened her Rare Skill just before entering high school, and Hitotsuyanagi Riri and Kawabata Hotaru awakened theirs during their first year.

Not all Lilies have a Rare Skill, though it's quite rare—no pun intended—for any Lily featured in an Assault Lily story to not have one. Some of the only examples are Hitotsuyanagi Riri (at the very beginning of Bouquet and League of Gardens) and Kondo Misaka.

Rare Skills are said to reflect each individual Lily's personality, with this being the reason that every Lily only has a single one, and there are vague "stereotypes" associated with some of them. Lilies with Phantasm are often said to be daydreamers, and those with Heliosphere tend to be dependable people who balance rationality with emotion.

Some Lilies' Rare Skills are more powerful than those of others, and Lilies are ranked C, B, A and S depending on the power of their Rare Skill, though generally only Rank S is considered especially worthy of note. Rank S Rare Skills often have unique powers that lesser users of the skills cannot manifest at all, such as Heliosphere's "beam coat".

Lilies also have "subskills", which are lesser versions of Rare Skills that have about 70% of their power at most. Even so, subskills are almost as important as Rare Skills in combat, because Lilies can have several of them (as many as seven.) All subskills correspond to a Rare Skill, but some Rare Skills have no known subskill equivalent. They have different names from their Rare Skill versions.

The Long List

Brave

Notable Users: Hatsukano Yo (Last Bullet), Hasegawa Gabriella Tsugumi (stage plays), Nagasawa Yuki (stage plays) Subskill: None known

Brave users are able to purify negative magie within those Lilies who the user touches. This makes then the ideal partners for Lunatic Trancer users, as Yo demonstrates with Ran and Tsugumi demonstrates with Kayo. However, it consumes quite a bit of the user's own magie, so it has to be used judiciously.

At Rank S, Brave can be used to affect a wide area, creating an effect similar to that of Regista (but less powerful.)

Circlet Bless

Notable Users: Banshoya Ena, Rokkaku Shiori, Fukuyama Jeanne Sachie (stage plays) Subskill: None known

Circlet Bless is real simple. If you have it, you can wield a different CHARM in both hands. If you don't, you're stuck with one CHARM (or you have to get a fancy, expensive CHARM like the Triglav that's specifically designed to be dual-wieldable without Circlet Bless.)

Circlet Bless only began to appear recently. Banshoya Ena and Tiuccia Paumgartner were the first known Circlet Bless users, and they both awakened to it during the Koshu Withdrawal, two years ago. It makes Lilies with it much more powerful, so it's quickly become an important Rare Skill.

Despite the picture above hinting that "circlets" are involved in some way, we have no idea why it's called Circlet Bless.

Hawk's Eye

Notable Users: Futagawa Fumi, Takashima Yakumo (Last Bullet) Subskill: Clairvoyance

Hawk's Eye gives its users a birds-eye view of the battlefield over a large area. This comes bundled for free with the mental ability to easily process that much information, as if one were playing a board game (aside from in some unusual circumstances, demonstrated in episode 10 of Bouquet.)

Though within the setting itself, it has never been stated to be an uncommon RS, Hawk's Eye is one of the least frequent ones for named Lilies to have; it's possessed by only 6 of them, out of over 200 Lilies that we know of.

Heaven's Measure

Notable Users: Wang Yujia, Tanba Akari (Last Bullet) Subskill: Magic Eye

Heaven's Measure (also known as The Scales of Heaven) allows its users to manifest a series of mystical scopes in front of their eye and reckon the distance to the target down to the centimeter, as well as enhancing their eyesight in general. Needless to say, this skill is a major asset to snipers.

At Rank S, Heaven's Measure grants another ability called "Dead Eye Motion", which slows the user's subjective perception of time.

Like Hawk's Eye, Heaven's Measure is an uncommon RS from a meta perspective and is possessed by only 9 named Lilies.

Heliosphere

Notable Users: Amano Soraha, Serizawa Chikaru (Last Bullet), Seto Veronica Ichika (stage plays) Subskill: Consecration

One can think of Heliosphere as the opposite of Regista: instead of creating a field that makes Lilies stronger, it creates a field that makes the Huge weaker. While it doesn't come with the nice extras that Regista does, even a low-ranked user of the skill is a major asset to their team.

At Rank S, Heliosphere users can surround themselves with a "beam coat" that shields them against negative magie and weak attacks.

Laplace

Notable Users: Hitotsuyanagi Riri (...probably), Shiba Tomoshibi (stage plays) Subskill: Charisma

Laplace is a new and mysterious Rare Skill, and in Assault Lily Bouquet, no one seems to have been quite sure what it did yet.

However, all indications since are that it's a souped-up version of its subskill, Charisma. It creates a field that shields Lilies from negative magie, supposedly via the user actually absorbing it from the nearby Huge and inverting its polarity, then radiating it again as usable magie. For unclear reasons, this seems to allow more (sometimes far more) than nine Lilies to take part in the Neunwelt Tactic.

Laplace is unique among Rare Skills in that it typically appears first in Lilies as its subskill version, Charisma, and over time evolves into Laplace.

It isn't 100% confirmed that Riri has Laplace, but as a playable character in Last Bullet she does, so… she probably does.

Lunatic Trancer

Notable Users: Shirai Yuyu, Sasaki Ran (Last Bullet), Funada Kiito & Ui (stage plays) Subskill: Threshold of Madness

Lunatic Trancer is said to balance a Lily upon the threshold of madness (hey, that's also what its subskill is called.) This lets her go well beyond her physical limits, ignore gravity, and even continue fighting if her heart stops beating. But it also makes her build up negative magie like crazy, which can have major consequences for her later.

Despite statements to the contrary in some Assault Lily stories, Lunatic Trancer by itself does not normally cause Lilies to attack their fellow Lilies. More on that later.

Phantasm

Notable Users: Ando Tazusa, Egawa Kusumi, Hanaoka Angela Moe (stage plays) Subskill: Rainbow Path

Phantasm users can simulate a vast number of illusionary futures, near-instantaneously within their mind, and choose their desired outcome. They can then telepathically transmit the actions necessary to produce that outcome to nearby Lilies.

However, the Lily needs to trust their allies to do as they're directed in order to make good use of this Rare Skill.

This RS is canonically one of the rarest ones there is, but from a meta perspective it's not as uncommon as many others are, with 26 Lilies known to have it.

Phase Transcendence

Notable Users: Miriam Hildegard von Gropius, Endo Araya, Iijima Renka (Last Bullet) Subskill: Awakening

Phase Transcendence users can channel a huge amount of magie into a single powerful attack, capable of taking out stronger Huge like large-types in one blow. This often leaves them completely incapacitated afterwards, as Miriam has demonstrated more than once. Without good teamwork, it's quite dangerous for the user.

In contrast to Miriam, higher-ranked Phase Transcendence users like Araya tend not to be left completely unable to move after using the RS.

Regista

Notable Users: Kaede Johan Nouvel, Aizawa Kazuha (Last Bullet), Kon Kanaho (Last Bullet) Subskill: War God's Protection

This skill does a lot. The most important thing Regista does is create a field that improves the purity of magie, increasing the offensive power of nearby Lilies. It also shields those Lilies from harm, and includes the ability to see the battlefield from above similar to Hawk's Eye (though it's less powerful than Hawk's Eye and comparable to its subskill version.)

Having at least one Regista user is considered virtually mandatory for performing the Neunwelt Tactic, and thus, for forming a legion at all.

Shukuchi

Notable Users: Yoshimura Thi Mai, Sano Matilda Kokoro (stage plays) Subskill: Invisible One

This skill lets a Lily move incredibly fast. That's it. Normally they can move only virtually instantaneously, but at Rank S, Shukuchi users can create wormholes known as "gates."

Shukuchi is another of the least common RSes from a meta perspective. Only 6 named Lilies have it.

Testament

Notable Users: Kuo Shenlin, Toki Kureha (Last Bullet), Kawamura Yuzuriha (stage plays) Subskill: Promised Land

This Rare Skill allows Lilies to boost the area of effect of other Lilies' powers. But it also consumes a great deal of the user's magie, weakening their defenses. Testament users are at risk of injury or death whenever they use it, and often wield specialized CHARMs focused on personal defense. Teamwork is especially important for them.

Canonically (but not from a meta perspective), Testament is one of the most uncommon RSes.

Übersein

Notable Users: Li Christina Susu (stage plays) Subskill: Stealth

Übersein (also known as Ubersign) allows a Lily to become invisible and completely erase her presence from both friends and enemies. She can also make other objects seem to be her in order to lure the Huge in. Übersein is considered a very helpful skill when performing the Neunwelt Tactic, as it can help clear the way for passes.

Rank S Übersein users can do something that's a massive spoiler for the stage play Assault Lily: Lost Memories. Maybe I should make a post about that play with a spoiler warning...

From a meta perspective, Übersein is the least common RS. Only three Lilies are known to have it.

The Way of the World

Notable Users: Mashima Moyu, Sadamori Himeka (Last Bullet), Amamiya Sophia Seren (stage plays) Subskill: Whole Order

This RS (also known as World's Reason) lets its users anticipate the direction in which Lilies, the Huge, and other things will continue to move. It greatly increases one's personal evasive ability and can also be used to warn allies of danger.

The Way of the World can also be used offensively in order to hit many enemies with a single attack or flurry of attacks.

Z

Notable Users: Amatsu Marei (stage plays), Kosaka Anastasia Ryoko (stage plays) Subskill: None known, but it's rumored that Yamanashi Hibari might be the first Lily to have it

Z, also known as Control-Z and Last Letter, lets a Lily rewind time within an area about the breadth of her armspan. It can save the lives of critically injured Lilies, and also do things like repair CHARMs that overheat or break in the midst of battle.

Z is an incredibly uncommon RS both within the canon and outside it. Five named Lilies are known to have it.

Zenon Paradoxa

Notable Users: Hata Matsuri, Miyagawa Takane (Last Bullet), Hishida Haru (stage plays) Subskill: None known

Zenon Paradoxa is often considered to be a fusion of Shukuchi and The Way of the World, and allows its users to make swift and powerful attacks. It's a straightforward RS that is prized when choosing Lilies to go on the offense.

Things That Aren't Rare Skills

Earlier I wrote "Lunatic Trancer by itself does not normally cause Lilies to attack their fellow Lilies," so why did Yuyu do it? I'll just direct you to the wiki article on Divine Possession. This isn't a phenomenon associated with Lunatic Trancer in specific; Hishida Haru, a Zenon Paradoxa user, is also susceptible to it.

There are also Boosted Skills. I described some of them in my blog post on Boosted Lilies.

Aside from those, some Lilies have powers that, for whatever reason (perhaps because they're often incredibly rare and have only been observed in a single Lily, and because those Lilies already have Rare Skills) aren't themselves considered Rare Skills. A well-known example is Mori Tatsuki's ability to hear what the Huge are "saying" to one another. Another Lily at Yurigaoka, Hara Midori of Legion Reginleif, can somehow sense the presence of nearby Huge or Caves through her skin.

GEHENA has recently been experimenting with two abilities of this sort, "Sacred Eye" and "Evil Eye," that are possible to implant into Lilies in the manner of Boosted Skills. It is not yet fully clear what these abilities do...

I literally wrote this on the spot so that’s why it’s all over the place. I did Yorozuya / Shinsengumi and Hoshishiro / Toy GubGun 

Yorozuya and Shinsengumi 

It’s a disaster 

Gintoki and Sougo are being super sadists only it’s worse because they keep fueling each other 

Sougo and Kagura won’t stop arguing 

Kagura just keeps trying to fling boogers at everyone that pisses her off 

Gintoki and Hijikata at each other’s throats but what else is new 

If Gintoki and Kagura aren’t tag teaming the Shinsengumi with insults, then they’re arguing with each other 

Sougo has tried to light Hijikata on fire at least 5 times 

Shinpachi and Kondo are trying to be the responsible ones and calm everyone down 

All is lost once Kondo makes a comment about Otae that’s he shouldn’t have 

At some point Kondo ends up sulking on the other side of the room because the gorilla jokes just WON’T STOP 

Kagura ends up stealing Shinpachi’s glasses so he can’t see to play anymore 

Gintoki just keeps sinning as usual 

It’s amazing that the vein in Hijikata’s forehead hasn’t exploded yet 

Queue Katsura appearing out of nowhere 

“It’s not *insert card phrase here* It’s Katsura!”

“KAATSUURAAAAA!!!!” Hijikata yells as he gets up to chase after Zura while stepping on all the cards 

“Oi oi oi! Watch where you’re stepping!” Gin-chan says right before getting kicked in face 

Sougo pulls his canon out of thin air and chases after Hijikata and Katsura 

The entire apartment is destroyed and so is probably half of Kabuki-cho

Hoshishiro and Toy GunGun 

Midori somehow managed to win every single round, unless he’s the judge that round 

He basically just harassed Masamune and makes really sadistic comments that makes everyone in the room a little uncomfortable 

Fujimoto ranges between trying to be really supportive of everyone and getting competence at random moments 

Asks Midori to pet him when he draws a good card 

Ichi doesn’t say much unless she’s making fun of Fujimoto or defending Midori 

She often glances over at Midori and blushes 

Similarly to Ichi, Haruka rarely says a word 

However, he does sit a little too close to Haruki and gets into some arguments because he thinks Haruki should win every round 

Haruki ends up being annoyed half the game and gets into several pointless arguments with Yuki 

Won’t pick a card if he thinks it’s too mean 

Yuki makes literally everything sound perverted 

Also makes everyone in the room uncomfortable. Even Midori 

Tachibana doesn’t understand half of the cards but she ends up getting really competitive anyway 

I mean she goes full demon mode

She’s out for blood 

Please calm down it’s just a card game 

Masamune is determined to beat Midori at least once 

He desperately tries to calm Tachibana down 

He’s also the target of all Yuki’s inappropriate comments 

He questions why he ever thought this would be a good idea

Birthday Baes

These sexy Scorpios all have birthdays this month! 

My birthday would have been the same week as all of them, but Hotaru just had to be different! 

I am hoping that Kondo will finally have a birthday story! He is the reason why I started playing DtL in the first place, and I would love to read a special story about him! He’s so sweet to others-- he should have a story where everyone does something just for him!

Speaking of waiting forever, Hotaru will have two birthday stories:

I’m really looking forward to romancing Hotaru more! Kotarō and Hotaru both stole my heart in the Moments Stolen in Shadow event. I’m happy to see that side lords such as Kageie and Shigezane are getting birthday stories! Now that Hotaru has one too, I’m hoping that Kotarō and Toramatsu will be next!

I am looking forward to Giles’ Birthday Night! In his last birthday story, the princess passes out drunk, in the middle of dancing with Giles. Everything under the sun is more romantic than that, so I’m looking forward to a new birthday story where we get to be all lovey-dovey with Giles, instead!

I’m not sure about which one of Mitsunari’s birthday stories to buy. Mitsuhide’s birthday stories were hit and miss for me. They had nothing to do with his birthday, and seemed more like a segment of an event. I think I will buy Mitsunari’s cheaper story first, and see how I like it. I don’t want to be stuck with another “birthday” story.

Untitled Sandra story || set in the late 60′s and early 70′s. A bunch of serial killers are recruited by a shady old lady who works for the Russian government - set during the Cold War. Sandra is the protagonist, a former serial killer dubbed the ‘Cannibal Nun’, who was prosecuted and then jailed for life after her crimes and moral instabilities. Anita decides to bust her out; but freedom is just another kind of jail for Sandra.

Mr. Me || set in contemporary times, though not specific. Elaine is a new patient at a mental health clinic after a car accident she suffered left her obviously shocked and in a way, troubled. However, that is not the only thing going on - and Phoebe, her assigned caretaker and nurse, has to figure it out.

My Love Story (Reina Kondo’s Diary) || Contemporary times; Reina is a young woman, self-proclaimed love pursuer, who twists and mangles her words in order to better fit reality to her own needs. A ruthless killer’s diary. Completely unreliable narration. A series of events that converge into an unavoidable catastrophe.

RPGWORLD || Short and sweet (so to speak) story about the Knight, a warrior sent by the White Queen to eliminate a threat that has been assailing the Kingdom, the Murderer. But the Knight’s loyalty and morals are put on the line as she carries out her task.

D.I.E. (Definite / Define Intentional Existence) || RPG game in which you play as D.I.E., a violent idea among many that lives in the metaphysical plane of the Hyperuranion, governed by the Architect Demiurgos. D.I.E. is violent, sadistic, masochistic, homicidal, suicidal, in the less possible serious manner. She wants to reach the EXIT and become real - but it’s a long way ahead, and it’s going to be a bloody one.

Necrologio (temporary name) || Set in the early 90′s. Salice is a lawyer by day, and a necromancer by night. During one of her usual jobs, she is stuck to taking care of the corpse she resurrected - a young teenager named Jay, who doesn’t remember anything about his past life due to a mysterious lock on his memories. In order to escape the police - and later on, more dangerous pursuers, Salice has to jump across countries with Jay. She is also pursued by private supernatural investigator Robyn.

A 20th Century Tale || set in the early 80′s. A collection of short stories featuring the NEW GODS, creatures shaped after the values that mankind developed in the 1900′s. Eulalia is the main protagonist, along with Esha, Tai, and Gróa; heartless monsters get unusually attached to special humans who make them question their own nature. Inevitably, though, it ends in tragedy.

A 21st Century Tale || more or less a bonus addition to the previous, featuring a new New God, Blip. This one is vague but it’s not a sequel, it’s kind of like just an extra story.

Cockroach (temporary name) || Another RPG game, but more horror and psychological. Momoko Hotaru is a young woman with quite the rotten personality. After being warned about being a suspect for a case that has been going on since a decade, Momoko has to find out an alibi to protect herself from facing consequences for her past actions. Her messed up mental status is not of help, but she tries to power through it.

We had another baby shower to celebrate the coming of our second child 💖 This pregnancy has flown by! I'm already in the third trimester. Morning sickness has subsided now, finally. As of late I've only been dealing with the occasional back pain.

Mom is so excited to be a grandma again, and Tatsuya once again made sure to get me a present for the baby. While I was talking with Hotaru, I suddenly felt the baby kicking! I quickly told him to feel my belly. When his eyes lit up, I knew that he felt the baby's kicks too 🥰

Atelier Ryza 2 Japanese Release Date Announced With New Screenshots

Koei Tecmo and Gust revealed Seri, a new character appearing in Atelier Ryza 2. She’s part of the Oren, like Lila Decyrus from the first game.

Koei Tecmo announced Atelier Ryza 2 will be out in Japan on December 3, PS4 and Switch. The Steam version will launch in January 2021, and that’s highly likely when the western version on all platforms will launch as well.

We have new details and screenshots on the exploration. New characters were revealed as well, reintroducing Tao, who isn’t a shota anymore, Bos, and a new character named Seri Grols, who isn’t human but the same race as Lila from the first game. The game’s shop specific preorder bonuses in Japan were revealed as well.

The English site didn’t add these new details and screenshots yet so we translated everything below.

As we already know, Ryza now got a grappling hook like Lupin III. It’s named the Emerald Band.

Ryza can breath underwater thanks to special candy called Air Drops. That’s how she’ll get to those underwater materials and dungeons.

Koei Tecmo also revealed Ryza’s clothes have a wet clothes effect when she gets out of the water.

We got to see new screenshots of the royal capital too: Asura Am Bart. Remember that I’m not the official localization team of the game who’s probably getting underpaid and under-credited, so all these names could be different in English. The royal capital is divided into multiple sections, each with its own atmosphere.

Tao and Bos are currently studying at the royal capital, and that’s how they’ll reunite with Ryza. This is also where Ryza will meet new character Seri Glose.

Here are the character profiles:

Tao Mongarten (Voiced by Junta Terashima)

Tao is much taller than before, and you wouldn’t imagine he used to be bullied. He’s studying every day to become a scholar. He still likes to shut himself in reading books, but the royal capital has so many places to learn he spends much more time outside than back at Kurken island.

Note that in the first Atelier Ryza, Tao was voiced by Yui Kondo. Young and adolescent boys like this are always voiced by female seiyuu in Japanese media, and get changed to a male seiyuu if they grow up, so it’s not surprising. Junta Terashima most notably voices Shin Ichijou, the protagonist of the King of Prism movies, part of the Pretty Series and Pretty Rhythm franchises. He’s a pretty popular idol seiyuu.

Seri Grols (Voiced by Yukiyo Fujii)

Like Lila Decyrus from the first game, Seri is part of the Whitefang clan of the Oren. In order to accomplish a certain objective, she’s currently traveling, gathering materials, going to the same ruins as Ryza. She has a gentle personality and acts friendly with everyone, but tends to be distant towards Ryza for some reason.

Yukiyo Fujii is most notably the new seiyuu of Tomoe Hotaru / Sailor Saturn since Sailor Moon Crystal. She also voices Megumi Tokoro in the Idolmaster franchise.

Bos Brunnen (Voiced by Yohei Azakami)

Unlike the first game, Bos is friends with Ryza and especially Tao now. He’s studying hard to be a worthy successor of the Brunnen family.

While I consider him a relatively new seiyuu, Yohei Azakami is extremely talented and already got multiple protagonist roles. He most notably voiced Kamiyama Seijuro in Shin Sakura Taisen. He already voiced Bos in the first game.

Now that Tao was properly revealed, new visuals for the Japanese Limited Editions were shared. There’s still one mysterious character though, probably Lent:

Lastly, most samples for the shop specific preorder bonus in Japan were revealed. A gallery with the goods using new original artwork is included below. Keep in mind before scrolling down that as usual these bonuses are on the sexual fanservice side, so you shouldn’t look if it could bring misunderstandings at your workplace or home. The full list of preorder bonuses including artwork which aren’t new can be found on the Japanese official site. I’d definitely translate and detail everything if time permitted. But I’m sure you can get by by yourself in the first place if you’re planning to import.

This is my first time writing resource post, so hopefully I can get my points across. 

If you’re someone who is fond and ecstatic with:

-the sky in charcoal/greyish monochrome color -storms/thunderstorms -torrential rain/rainfall in general  -the dark blue/almost black ocean especially the cloudiness before rainfall -imagining the geography/texture of planet outside of ours  -anything without ends, like the deeper part of ocean (eg Mariana Trench/) -the sensation of being sucked into something dark or the unknown -fog/misty/snowy path/weather -the sensation of exploring the unknown in general -sound texture of any objects

Violet Evergarden, seorang gadis yang biasa dipanggil sebagai sebuah ”senjata” bertemu Auto Memory Dolls dan mengalami berbagai pengalaman seiring dengan ia mengalami cinta dan emosi. Animasi ini juga akan tayang di luar Jepang melalui Netflix mulai musim semi tahun 2018.

Ryuou no Oshigoto! (The Ryuou’s Work is Never Done)

Pada usia 16 tahun, Yaichi Yuzuru memenangkan titel Ryou, atau yang teruat di dunia Shogi. Seorang gadis kelas 3 SMA bernama Ai Hinatsuru datang kepadanya untuk menjadi muridnya, dan dimulailah kisah mengenai kedua penyuka Shogi tersebut.

Anime ini adalah lanjutan dari anime klasik Cardcaptor Sakura. Di anime ini, Sakura yang telah menyegel Clow Card menjadi kartunya sendiri dengan kekuatannya, telah menjadi siswi SMP. Petualangan barunya dimulai saat keanehan kembali terjadi di kota Tomoeda, dan kartu-kartunya berubah menjadi tembus pandang. Anime ini mengisahkan cinta antara Akira Tachibana, mantan ace di klub atletik yang berhenti berlari karena satu alasan, dan Masami Kondo, pria berusia 45 tahun yang juga adalah manajer family restaurant tempat Akira bekerja part-time. Anime ini juga akan tayang dalam bentuk film live-action pada Mei 2018.

Dagashi Kashi Season 2

Anime ini merupakan lanjutan kisah Kokonotsu Shikada, seorang pemuda yang bercita-cita jadi mangaka namun ayahnya bersikeras menjadikan Kokonatsu penerus bisnis jajanan keluarganya. Kisah tersebut makin dibumbui dengan datangnya Hotaru Shidare, gadis cantik maniak jajanan yang berusaha keras menjadikan Kokonotsu mau menjadi penerus toko jajanan tersebut.

Pop Team Epic

Cerita dalam anime ini biasanya didasarkan pada anime, game, dan drama tahun 90-an dan isu-isu terkini. Salah satu kisah terpopulernya adalah episode yang menghancurkan perusahaan manga-nya sendiri. Episode tersebut dibuat sebagai lelucon atas kejadian yang disebabkan oleh yakuza di Jepang pada saat itu. Anime ini didasarkan pada komik surreal comedy 4 panel.
