Ah, you've finally reached me, SQOTD anon! When I heard you were making a blog, I was hoping you'd get around to me since I have anon asks disabled. Thanks for sending me a question!!

My answer to this question is the same for both my story and gameplay posts: I primarily download lots off of either the gallery or from CC finds blogs. I'm not an avid builder. It's so time-consuming for me especially since I almost never have a clear vision for what I want the entire building to look like, and for my story it doesn't matter what it looks like. All that matters is that the scene takes place where it needs to take place. Since making story posts is time-consuming on its own, I highly prefer taking the easy way out. For gameplay, I'm just so antsy to get into playing the game that again, I take the easy way out. I do modify builds to fit my sims/characters though (wouldn't make sense to keep the toddler bedroom if my sims' child is a teen).

An exception I will mention though is that I did build the lot I used for Total Drama Sims. Since the nature of what I needed was much more specific (i.e. a two-cabin summer camp complete with an exterior dining hall, bathrooms, a dock, and an area for a campfire vs. a park) I decided to build it myself (and that time I actually had a clear vision for what I wanted the entire lot to look like!)

This hospital was built by the talented secretscones. They didn't give the hospital an actual name so I'm calling it "Alliance Hospital" in The Runaway universe!

Megyn: Oh god, what am I gonna do?

Megyn: I never thought I would have to see my parents again, especially like this!

Detective: Would you like me to take you to your mother?

Megyn: Yes, please... I haven't seen her in two and a half years.

Jayden: I'll walk with you too, Megyn. Just stay close to me.

Jayden: I know there probably isn't anything I can say that will make things better right now, but I promise we'll get through this together.

Chapter 9 Summary

(episodes 247-277)

This chapter heavily focuses on the developing relationship between Jayden and Megyn.

The chapter begins the morning after the end of Chapter 8. Megyn contemplates the difference between the love in most people's families versus the lack of in hers. She realizes that the lack of love in her family sheltered her from knowing what love really is.

She gets up and has breakfast with Eva and her family. Right when Eva and Megyn are about to leave, Robin (Eva's mom) stops them and tells them she needs to talk to Megyn and instructs Eva to remain in her room until they're finished.

Megyn and Robin sit down on the couch, where Robin allows Megyn to describe her situation with Jayden so that she can provide advice. Megyn hesitantly agrees and describes her problem to her. Robin tells Megyn she felt similarly about Barry (her husband, Eva's dad) when they first met. The advice she tells Megyn is to give the situation some time and that if she likes him, she will know. After Robin dismisses Megyn to reunite with Eva, Megyn contemplates Robin's advice.

Eva and Megyn leave and go to Discotheque Pan Europa, a nightclub in downtown Windenburg. Eva tells Megyn that she has booked last-minute tickets to the pop DJ show that evening to surprise her, and that Wyatt will also be accompanying them. Megyn is flattered.

Later at sunset, Megyn, Eva, and Wyatt are in Eva's room viewing Megyn's party outfit, which are clothes borrowed from Eva. Megyn notes that Eva's clothes, which were previously big and baggy on her, fit her perfectly now. Eva states that now that Megyn is having regular meals, she's been able to gain weight and fill out.

They arrive at Discotheque Pan Europa after sunset, where the group notes the already large crowd. They go down to the dancefloor and enjoy the show, dancing together. After the concert, Megyn thanks Eva for taking her to it.

The next morning, Eva drops off Megyn at home, where she sees Jayden on the phone with his brother Dylan. After the call ends, they awkwardly greet each other. They agree to live life normally so their tension can wear off on its own.

As the weeks go by, Megyn finds she's having trouble shaking off the tension and frequently thinks about Jayden. After contemplating for a moment, she has an epiphany, realizing that she reciprocates feelings for Jayden. She admits to herself that she likes him.

The next morning, Megyn and Jayden have a deep, heartfelt conversation about each other's feelings. Both are overwhelmed by what they had to say to each other and Megyn states she would be willing to try out a relationship with him. Jayden is overjoyed and the two embrace at the end, marking the beginning of their relationship.

A few days later, Megyn and Jayden go on their first official date at a fancy restaurant. Megyn is flustered and tells Jayden she would have been okay with someplace more casual, but Jayden insists on his choice, telling her he's not worried about cost and that both of them deserve a high-quality meal. During the date, they further discuss their feelings and look back on the turmoil that was caused when Megyn found out Jayden liked her. Both are relieved that the tension has cleared.

Following the date, Jayden and Megyn snuggle up to each other and reflect on their first event as a couple. In the end, after Jayden tells Megyn he wants to do one more thing, they share their first kiss.

A set of 20 questions to get to know your oc! Ty for tagging me @akitasimblr 💖 I'm gonna do Eva (right), since she won't be playing a big role in Chapter 10

What uncommon/common fear do they have? She'd defintiely be afraid of bugs and would have either Wyatt or Jayden get rid of it (mostly Wyatt though bc they'd enjoy bugs and wouldn't kill them [and would scold Jayden for trying to kill them])

Do they have any pet peeves? Some of her pet peeves include when people bump into her and don't apologize and when people arrive to her college class wreaking of weed

What are 3 items you can find in their bedroom? Books, posters of her favorite bands, and her trusty headphones, of course

What do they notice first in a person? Their emotional state. It's the sole reason Eva decided to approach Megyn at the beginning of the story. She noticed Megyn soaking wet and looking frantic, and since she's an empathetic person who loves helping others out, she followed her to make sure she was ok

On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance? I'd say it's mid, like a 5. Not the worst but not the best

Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure? I think she'd fight, even if it's not in her best interest to do so

Do they come from a big family/are they a family person? For the most part yes, she's a family person, though her immediate family just consists of her parents and herself (and she quarrels with them sometimes). However since she's Vietnamese through her dad she's definitely close with that side of the family since everyone visits each other a lot and the grandparents (who are Vietnamese immigrants) host family events with their children and grandchildren (aka Eva's immediate family plus Barry's siblings and their children/Eva's cousins)

What animal represents them best? She definitely gives off excited dog energy, specifically the golden retriever

What is a smell that they dislike? This ties in with her pet peeve, but she dislikes the smell of weed (but she tolerates it if she knows people are gonna be smoking it, like a concert)

Have they broken any bones? Eva was a very active kid growing up and was very accident-prone, so yea, I think she most likely has broken a bone. I can see her having needed a walking boot at some point, so I'll say that she broke her ankle when she was a kid. She would have totally had her friends sign the initial cast before transitioning to a walking boot

How would a stranger likely describe them? Exuberant, lively, energetic, very friendly, and unique

Are they a night owl or a morning bird? Definitely a night owl

What is a flavor they hate and a flavor they love? She dislikes grape-flavored things and loves strawberry-flavored things

Do they have any hobbies? She loves to read, listening to music, and going to the gym

Boom, surprise birthday party! How do they react to surprises? She LOVES surprises and the friends would definitely through a surprise party for her. She'd be absolutely thrilled if they did that for her

Do they like to wear jewelry? Yes. Earrings and necklaces are the way to go for her

Do they have neat or messy handwriting? It's legible to most people but it definitely leans towards messy

What are two emotions they feel the most? Excitement and intrigue

Do they have a favorite fabric? Anything that's soft and cozy such as fleece

What kind of accent do they have? She has a medium-high pitched American accent that's sharp, clear, and lively. It contrasts Megyn's voice which is very soft and a little raspy (so opposite of that)

simblr needs more things which bring the community together and allow everyone to join in if they want to regardless of how big or small of a blog they may be. everyone is a valid part of the community no matter how many followers you have, and i feel like everyone deserves to be involved in fun little things within the community

#this is why i love stuff like the BC and other things where you submit sims #it's so fun seeing your sim interact with other people's sims #and i had an absolute blast hosting total drama sims #met a lot of great people through that!! #i def want to host more events like these in the future bc they're just so much fun #it's a great way of bringing simblr together #rb
