It could've been fate that brought the one known as The Demon, Kasuna Hatake, to one of the biggest companies in terms of security clientele in Japan. He was there just to escort an important CEO to a meeting in greater Tokyo. He cracked his neck as he stood in front of his sleek car. He fixed his suit, something he didn't want to wear but was told he needed to. He didn't know what to expect, maybe a stuck up old Japanese dude stuck in his ways, but all he knew was he didn't want to really do this.

He looked up at the massive building as the sun beat down on him, cursing the Japanese summer. He surveyed the whole scene making sure everything was safe. He had a feeling that if he was being put to be an escort, something was up. His eyes were peeled, as were his ears. He heard something about the CEO was on their way down and straightened himself again.

Friendship HC's for team star?

Oooooh a fun one. These are going to be very all over the place, so bare with me here.

The only reason that Giacomo is as passionate as he is about music as he is today is thanks to Mela and Eri. The two girls have been super supportive of his passion, which at the time he was very embarrassed about. Eri especially, who didn't really look at Giacomo's past and shame him for it. Mela's bluntness pretty much made Giacomo really think about himself, and who he really wants to be. Of course Atticus and Ortega are just as supportive of him as the girls, but those two were the bigger ones that pushed him forward. Though, I totally see Atticus helping Gia with his hair lol.

Surprisingly no one, Eri is the mom friend of the group. She looks after everyone and makes sure their needs are taken into account. That being said, team stars( both the bosses and the grunts) all do their best to make sure she's taken care of too. They have forced her to sit down and let them handle any heavy lifting or general labor, just so she doesn't overwork herself. She appreciates them for that, but that does not stop her worrying. They.... aren't exactly the strongest bunch ( physically I mean). Oh, and her and Giacomo are the ultimate planner duo. Eri's kind nature + Giacomo's tendency to overthink equals they will have almost everyone's own taste/likes-dislikes taken into account. ( Eri also makes sure Giacomo doesn't panic so much during that process. He looks cool calm and collected, but he gets really anxious at the chance of doing something wrong, again).

I hc that Ortega wears gloves pretty much 24/7, for a multitude of reasons, one of them being he's pretty sensitive to different textures. So when making the outfits for Team Star, Atticus worked closely with him to figure out what type of fabric he likes ( both for his gloves and the general outfit), and make the clothes with said fabric. Ortega actually paid for all the material for the team Star outfits really. He likes to go on Eri's shoulders. He likes feeling tall :3. Much like Mela, he's pretty blunt and can go feral cat mode if he wants to. He is a Menace and Eri has held him like an angry cat multiple times. He and Mela have the greatest banter btw. Just *chef kiss*. Mela does push him to be more independent though, which he's not totally used to coming from a rich family, but is still appreciative of it. Won't admit this outloud though, he will never hear the end of it.

In general, Mela let's get guard down more around team Star, but Atticus and Eri is where she's more Soft™. Atticus and her are makeup buddies, Atticus letting Mela rant if she needs to. Mela, next to Ortega, are the most likely to start a fight if someone talks ill about her friends. Pray that she doesn't hear you talk about Atticus in any negative way. Though Atticus does think it's sweet, he doesn't really care anymore. Words hurt, yes, but he's the happiest he's ever been, he loves what he's doing, he has amazing friends. So what people think he's weird. From his point of view everyone is, and it's really nothing to write home about. So Mela doesn't get into verbal confrontations about snide remarks about Atticus anymore. She will give the person a mean death glare though. That usually shuts them up. Anyway, back to Atticus, he actually knows sign language, and taught the others it. Eri and him train together, though Atticus is more about dexterity than strength. Either way, they have fun together. They like to call their training sessions together as a " training montage".

Everyone likes to joke about how Giacomo is honestly Just A Guy, mainly due to his chill nature. He takes offense to this. He worked very hard on his image you know! He is not just some guy!!! ( Really, he thinks it's funny. Low-key grounds him a bit, oddly enough).

Okay I think that's everyone.....nah I'm kidding.

To say that Penny was nervous actually hanging out with Team Star irl was an understatement. Girl was terrified. Despite their warm introductions before, she still couldn't help but worry about them seeing her. Everyday. It's nerve was nerve wracking. In a way it made her feel bad, since she's used to hanging out with Nemona and Arven ( and protag/ocs), but the people she knew for longer? It terrified her. The bosses took note of this right away though, and did their best to ease her in, as if she's meeting them for the first time. Eventually, and rather quickly, she just. Melted into the group like she did before. Her room is already crowded as is ( something that Eri is very concerned about) so they can't always just hang out in her room....so they do in Gia's, who's the cleanest of the bunch. It sometimes amazes penny how easily they all talk to each other, how much they make each other laugh despite being so different. But she's not too surprised. Their misfits who stick together. She doesn't say this much, she always gets embarrassed, but she's forever grateful to have team Star in her life <3.

I'm very torn between Brandish joining Fairy Tail or Lucy joining the 12 tbh...

This one isn't really gonna be headcanons. It's basically the plot of a story lol

Lucy ended up running away a lot earlier. Brandish encouraged her to do so from the second Jude started mistreating her

The girls didn't see each other much, but were pen pals

Brandish invites runaway Lucy to join her in Alvarez

The two women become roommates. Which is a bit awkward at first because they've only talked through letters for years but eventually they get the swing of things

Brandish keeps getting offers to join the Spriggan 12 but she refuses because she has no interest in such things

Lucy insists Brandish joins. She thinks it would be good for Brandish to make some new friends

Brandish finally agrees but requests that Lucy joins her as well

While Lucy wants to take the job, part of her still longs for adventure

So she makes a deal with Brandish. Lucy will technically be a high ranking member of Brandish's team, but will also be given the freedom to adventure on her own

The only requirement is that Lucy has to check back every couple months and has to return when Brandish calls

Lucy then returns to Fiore and begins her quest to expand her wizard skills

While with Brandish, Lucy trained a lot and is much stronger than she was in the og series

So she goes on her adventure with Fairy Tail being a high ranking member from the start

Brandish comes and helps during high stress battles but not too often for Fairy Tail to consider her a friend

Brandish decides not to tell Lucy that the guild she joined is technically their enemy. The 12 see it as a bonus and consider Lucy their inside man

Lucy is unintentionally feeding Alvarez information and helping them better prepare to battle the guild

Brandish feels incredibly guilty about this. She tries to extend the amount of time between updates from Lucy, but she knows it's not enough and Brandish is going to put her friend in a terrible situation

When the war happens, Lucy is heartbroken and her friends feel betrayed. Fairy Tail believes Lucy turned on them and kick her from the guild

This destroys Lucy emotionally and Brandish is pissed. She's pissed that the 12 put her in this situation, pissed that Lucy is crying, pissed that they were both used

So Brandish betrays Alvarez and turns to Fairy Tail's side, thus winning them the war

Both girls end up earning Fairy Tail's trust and becoming members

Brandish and Lucy then make a healthy bet for who can find Aquarius first and thus the 100 yq begins

It's a literal race tho. Like both women are searching the world to find Aquarius. Lucy with the help of her team and Brandish on her own

Mordred lightly hummed to himself as he strode down the hall of the Moon Cancer dorm, arms full of another resupply of food. He had to go a few days without because of a sudden Singularity that required a good number of Servants to camp out in it for a while. Which of course meant nearly all of the instant ramen was brought with them to ensure they stayed fed for the battles.

Thankfully a delivery had come in today and most Servants were still sleeping off the week-long Singularity drop which meant he had little to worry about being spotted by someone on the way back to his room.

Opening the door and shutting it with a bump of his heel against the control panel, the Knight dumped his haul to the floor with a grin and began stripping out of his armor. He could just dematerialize it like so many other Servants did with their clothes but he had come to enjoy the manual work of removing his armor. Kept him occupied.

And let anyone watching get a good look at how much weight he'd lost. His body was less toned muscle and more tight skin against bones. Decently-sized biceps and quads had shrunken down until his limbs resembled that of a skinny limbed insect or bird. His face was a bit gaunter, though not as much as the rest of his frame would've suggested. Even his hair was in poor condition, his locks having dulled and become slightly brittle in texture.

And yet he continued on like nothing was amiss, Endurance and Battle Continuation keeping him on his feet and largely oblivious to his worsening condition. Nothing could break his bubble of sanctuary.

And then someone knocked on his door.

Astra sighed as she sat the bar, playing with the funny bendy straw that had came with her drink. The young woman was so happy she had found a way to escaped the paparazzi that had recognized her when she stepped out of the nightclub she had entered earlier in the night. As the daughter of an A listed actor,   it was hard for her to hide in the shadows. Her every action judged and blasted over magazines with false rumors and ideas since she was a kid. Her bodyguards managed to get them to back off, and she ran off as fast she could in her sandal heels away. Blending in with others her age, just trying to find some place to rest till she could meet up with her ride back to her apartment.

To find this little hole in the wall place far away from the usual places she went, it seemed a lot easier than she had thought to blend in. No one really spared her more than a glance or two. A flirt might approach but she usually turned them down. The young woman had just finished off her drink when she realized she felt someone watching her. Her eyes flicked up, and she quirked an eyebrow. Brushing her thick hair over her shoulder, she eyed him. Oh god well that was a cute guy looking at her. Real cute. "Hi." She greeted him over the background music, leaning forward a little so he could hear her. "Do you usually look at girls like that or am I a special case?"

Dream was walking with his brother, a normal day as usual.

Ever since his brother became passive again, they helped each other out. Going outside together, cooking together.... it was nice.

Of course, they still fought. What brothers don't? Dream worried about Night's safety when he went off alone... But Dream knew Nightmare could turn corrupted if he needed to. He could care for himself. Shatter is the same with Dream. Coming out when needed.

Though Dream wondered how much was good intentioned....

Overhearing some chatter, Dream looked up, seeing his brother talking with some humans. Ok, normal enough-

... was that a pistol?..

Aimed at his brother?..

The gold skeleton didn't think twice before running, hoping to shove his brother aside but... he jumped in front instead.

"LEAVE HIM ALONE!!-"

BANG!!

"Dream!" Nightmare cried out right as black consumed his gold brother.

"Hehehe.... you wanna play....?.. LETS GO!!" Dream growled, Shatter taking full control.

After a very messy situation, Dream turned back to normal. Only then did Night notice the gold dripping off Dreams skull...

Photographers all know about polarizing filters. They remove reflections off the surfaces of objects. We use them to see into water or windows that are obscured by those reflections. But anything with an even slightly glossy surface has a layer of reflection on top. So if you have a shiny green plant, it can remove the shiny and reveal a very saturated green underneath. Polarizers also remove a lot of scattered and reflected light from the sky. Which reveals a deep blue color you didn't even know was there.

Here is a photo I took of my circular polarizer.

And the first thing I noticed when walking outside during the eclipse was the color of everything was more saturated, just like in that circle. Apparently, an eclipse significantly reduces polarized light and I got this creepy feeling because I was only ever used to seeing the world like that through the viewfinder of my camera.

The other thing I noticed was my outdoor lights. I leave them on all the time because I never remember to turn them on at night. And usually the sun will render them barely visible during the day. On a very sunny day they almost look like they are off.

But you can clearly see they are shining and even flaring the camera during the eclipse.

Our eyes adjust to lighting changes very well so it was hard to tell how much dimmer things were, but that is a good indication. I took this photo a few minutes ago and you can see how dim the lights appear after the moon has fucked off.

I did a calculation using the exposure settings between these two photos. The non-eclipse photo has 7 f-stops more light. That is 128 times or 12,700% more light.

A partial Pringle eclipse cut the sun's light by 99.2% and somehow our eyes adjusted to make it seem like a normal sunny day (with weird ass saturated colors).
