A few hc on how their romance started!

We all know the story, how they forged each other weapons and became instant bff, blabla. But how I see it, there was a major difference. Ferrus received his hammer, and fell absolutely head over heels for Fulgrim.

The idea of FERRUS being in love first is just, so sweet to me??? He keep asking Fulgrim for time together. He keep bringing him small trinket that "were nothing fancy to make, really!" (They were). He struggle with his words, so he let his actions speak up.

Meanwhile, Fulgrim is A Fool. He's like "Ferrus? Such a sweet guy! So kind!" To his other bros and they all collectively look at him like he grew a second head. "Fulgrim last week he threw a wrench at my head because I moved a part in his workshop-"

Eventually he catch on... And oh. He feel almost... Disappointed? Ofc Ferrus wants to fuck him. Everyone does. Sure he tough that MAYBE he would be different, that maybe Ferrus actually liked spending time with him for his neurotic perfectionist mess of a brain and not because he's the prettiest thing in the galaxy.

And, because Fulgrim is A Mess (tm), he corner Ferrus... And ask him, with a flirty smile, if he wants to drag him to bed. Better let his brother get it out of his systhem, then they can go back to normal, right??

And Ferrus... Sweet, sweet Ferrus. He's intensely demisexual you know? And he KNOW that Fulgrim sleep around. He has no idea how to take it. His hearth is saying "he likes you too!!! He LOVE you!!!!" While his brain is going "This is just Fulgrim being himself, he's horny and your close, don't get attached."

He accept. And he gets dragged to bed, and it's. So much. Incredibly overwhelming. He keep clinging to his Fulgrim and its incredibly intense and emotionally charged. God he's a fool in love.

Fulgrim meanwhile is. Floored. It felt different. It felt like more. And he has no idea why!! Why did Ferrus look at him like he hung every star in the sky??? It's making him flustered, he know he's good at sex but no one is THAT good-

He want's to leave after, because that's what you do, right? They fuck you and then they leave you. But Ferrus does not agree.

He grab him at the waist, spoon him in bed, and gently ask in his ear for him to Please Stay.

Fulgrim is getting flushed at this point because??? What. Ok so ferrus like cuddles, he can role with that-

"I love you. I always have. The moment you handed me the hammer. You were covered in grim and sooth and your hair were a mess, and you had this smile, and your eyes were like stars. I know you don't feel the same but. I wanted you to know."

Fulgrim.exe has stopped working

Listen. In all his life- yes, people would love him, but not like that. Not because he throw a tamper tantrum because a shade of blue is wrong. And Ferrus. Ferrus has seen those things. And he love him for it.

It's easy to have sex. It's just his body. Being emotionally vulnerable is something else entirely.

He roll around in Ferrus arm to face him. Look at his deep grey. And he's just... So unsure. Almost scared. Ask him if he really means it.

Ferrus does not hesitate and tell him yes, without missing a beat.

And Fulgrim... He give a shy smile. Because maybe, maybe they could make this work. So he kiss him softly.

And that's how they got together! And became the most shockingly sweet couple in the galaxy <3
