PETER PARKER (EARTH-65B) from SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE
JUSTIFICATION:
"She's best friends with Gwen Stacy (a trans icon) and always comes to the defense of Spider-Woman. Was also evidently uncomfortable in her own body and resorted to DIY HRT via mad science. Even confesses to Gwen with the line, "I just wanted to be special, like you." Saying that to a trans girl is pretty compelling evidence IMO" - Anonymous

Spiderverse meets Symbiotes (aka Miguel's coupon for Anger Management)
So, we all know that every "Peter Parker", "Gwen Stacy", and "Mary Jane" gets bitten by a spider, gets powers, and becomes Spiderman the moment they put on the suit; All of that is canon...
Does that mean the people from the Venomverse are canon, too?
Imagine if they merged universes! (of course, Miguel would find ways to blame it on Miles)
2018!Eddie Brock: So, all of you are Spiderman?
Earth-65B!Gwen: Well, not all of us are "Spiderman". But, yeah. Pretty much.
Earth-50101B!Pavitr: Hey, new guy! Where's your suit?
2018!Eddie: *chuckling a bit* Well, I don't know about this "suit", but... *holds his arms out* Come on out, babe. But, don't eat anyone.
And before Pavi could say "Wait, what?", we see Venom oozing out of Eddie to reveal his full-body form and giving a friendly "HI, WE ARE VENOM AND WE LOVE BRAINS AND CHOCOLATE!"
Meanwhile, Miguel is over here like: "Voy a clavar a Miles en el suelo tan profundo que chocará los cinco con su tío muerto, lo juro por el jodido Dios Araña…"
[Have fun translating that! LOL]
and Earth-616!Peter is like, "Miguel, we don't even know that Miles did this! Miles' mother taught me a little Spanish and you are so lucky that Mayday's with her mother, otherwise you'll have to put a Spider-Quarter in a swear jar!"

So I'm at a basketball game right. And they're selling these booze in test tube things. And I don't know why but it doesn't appeal to me. Maybe it's because my parents are both doctors
Plus...when has drinking from a test tube lead to anything GOOD?
Anyway I want to know YOUR opinion on this. You know because you also got some smart bitches in your family as well
I'm a person who doesn't drink alcohol like teetotal, except in the flavoring of food where all the alcohol, because it messy with me sensory wise. But I do enjoy me some virgin Piña colada.
My parents are also in the medical field; but I also majored in chemistry so my first thought: One does drink lab chemicals! Agreed, specially in pop culture when has it EVER led to something good?
Hollow man (2000 movies with Kevin Bacon as dr. Sebastian Caine basically the Invisible man remake), Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dr. Connors/ Lizard from Amazing spiderman also Peter Parker from Gwen Stacy from Earth-65B in Across the Spiderverse, Norman Osborn from Spiderman with the Goblin Super serum in Spiderman (2002), you also have Harry Osborn from The Spectacular Spiderman. Dr. Anton Mercer from Power Ranger: Dino Thunder, which turns him into Mesogog. Paul Stamets from Star Trek: Discovery. Professor Souichi Tomoe/Germatoid from the Death Buster Arc from Sailor Moon. Hank McCoy from First Class, he gets what he deserve in his karmic transformation into a blue furball
I'm also counting like jabbing yourself, aerosol, swallowing it, transfusing it with untested science/medicine or otherwise same trope, just different method of delivery.
the only case that I know of where this leads to a good outcome is when its the curing of the plague or illness like in the case of the Star Trek episode Miri, where Dr. McCoy doesn't know which test is the antidote so Spock tests it out on himself; but this more of a case not being able to communicate with the ship's computer that could tell with a time clock running out.
Perhaps we can also count Static and Virgil from Static Shock in the event of The Big Bang; but for nearly the rest its um not so much; Miguel O'Hara with his backstory of bad corporate mad science and exploitation (which totally fits with what the fuck Elon Musk is doing with neuralink).
But other than that your in for a fucking world of PAIN. It just shows why we need high ethical standards in medicine and even a higher threshold for human testing; informing those who participate full information about the risks before they consent, what researchers hope to achieve etc.

//Added a "Spider-Verse" section to the Elseworlds page.
For now it just features Night-Spider, Venomized Black Cat, and Gwen Stacy from the Spider-Verse movies, along with their official universe designations. (Earth-194, Earth-258, and Earth-65B respectively)

Gwendolyn Maxine Stacy/Spider-Woman. (Earth-65B)
"I couldn't save my best friend, Peter Parker. So now I save everyone else. And I don't do friends anymore, just to avoid any distractions."
What if it wasn't Peter Parker that was bit by the spider, but Gwen Stacy? This isn't a new concept, but it's best done with Gwen. This version of Gwen was introduced to the world in late 2018. Everything's about the same with her up until kingpin's collider turns on. She finds herself in a familiar but strange world, and gets back to her own with the help of new friends.
She's shown to be a very capable and funny spider person. Grappling with the struggles of the spider-life for 2 years now. She's gone ahead and built her web shooters, and even sneaks into Miles's school and alchemax with little problem. I feel a lot of people gloss over this aspect of the character. She's quite cold for it.
Unfortunately, this Gwen lost her Peter through tragic circumstances. She closes herself off to others for it, but heals a little bit through her encounter with the spider-gang. Time passes and both her and Miles realize how much they meant to each other. The second movie tests their friendship and i absolutely love what they've done for the both of them. Her actions in the final act of Across the Spiderverse will get you to understand. They're birds of a feather that are much better together.
Her design has one striking difference. Her haircut. It was an accident. Miles's fault. She later chooses to grow it out and even style it which is awesome. It's one of her most recognizable traits. She also wears converse instead of ballet shoes in the second movie.
Through these movies Gwen Stacy is getting bigger and better. She's grown to be one of my favorite spider people.
